Very disappointing experience. We made a reservation for a party of 9 on a Saturday night, and to our surprise it was not busy at all. And now we know why. The food was not good. The seafood and beef dishes our party ordered tasted old and rancid. The ambiance was not good. The manager was terrible; he seemed unhappy to be there. We asked if they could play some different music because they kept playing the same music; and he said no. They played the same Bad Bunny songs and it was really annoying, we like Bad Bunny but it was just over and over the same songs. The manager said they let go of the live band which was the reason we went in the first place so asked for them to play some music our family could dance to and he said no. The dancers were not that good and kept shouting at the audience, All in all a very disappointing experience. We spent a lot of money but they seem to cater to the crowd that comes later and really doesn't spend any money on food. Never again

Had another great time at the Cuban. The staff was friendly and the food was good! Just stopped by for apps and drinks. We enjoyed the after party there after the Hispanic cultural heritage parade.

We decided to try The Cuban for Father's Day, the hostess greeted us immediately, she was friendly and luckily for us it wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. They had live music which was great which made the atmosphere that much more very festive. The service was quick. Our only gripe is that the ribeye was forgotten until essentially the end of the meal, otherwise the food was great however very pricey.

Always a good time here. Usually go with my husband at night and it's such a good environment. Went for my son's birthday for lunch and it was quiet! Service and food always great. I love Cuban food and it tastes authentic

So, I have been to the Cuban in Bayside and now this one in Patchogue. The one in bayside is much better, in terms of the food served. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it came with fried plantains. Meanwhile, at the Cuban in Patchogue, I received three yucca fries. The whole dish was $21, which I though was expensive for a sandwich. I have yet to visit the one in Garden City but other people say that one is okay. I was with someone else and the waitress didn't get my friend's order correct. Service was quick, but I didn't appreciate the three yucca fries. FYI - A musician plays music on Sunday's. Call to ask for specific times. Would I come back ? Eh, maybe. I won't go out of my way, that's for sure.

This restaurant has great ambiance. You walk in, and immediately feel as if you walked into a café in Miami or Havana. The decor speaks to a time when music and food compliment each other perfectly. The food was decent. We had the fresh guacamole with mango, it was delicious with the fresh chips. I ordered the oxtail and chorizo dish, which came with white rice. The portion of rice wasn't enough to enjoy the oxtails, which was good but not as tender as I would've liked. Flavor was good. We ordered a side of maduros that never came. That was disappointing. The drinks were ok, I had a passion fruit mojito. It was decent. Overall, the ambiance made this experience good. They have a stage set up for the Latin bands to come in and perform live on the weekends.

Fun times on a Saturday night at The Cuban. Our party of six had reservations for 8pm. They initially were going to sit us outside, but all the fun and entertainment was inside. So we chose to wait by the bar until the table was ready inside. We ordered drinks (Strawberry Mojito for me) while we waited, and not too long after we were seated. It was so lively and the atmosphere was exciting. It felt like little Havana in Miami. There was live music, dancing, and celebrations all around. We shared a few apps - chips and guacamole, chicken quesadilla, crab cakes, and of course bread. The portions of the appetizers are small and not really "sharable" for 6 people but we made it work. Besides we were ordering entrees and that portion was pretty big. Everyone ordered the Paella except for me and and another person. It came out piping hot in a skillet, so hot 2 people at the table burned their finger. Usually servers warn you it's hot. They said it was good. As for my food, it was just ok. Nothing spectacular about it. I got something simple - grilled marinated chicken with white rice and black beans. Any how, great time out. Check it out if you're in the area.

Table in front of the restrooms, bon appetite!

I booked a table for 5 expecting good seats but was placed by a loud, crowded stage. When I asked manager Kimberly to change it, she was rude and only offered bar seats or a spot by the restroom, which smelled and was uncomfortable. We left without eating, and as we left, I noticed they removed the original table. Very rude service, manager gives you attitude and no apology!

    Mini Cuban snd yucca fries

This was a spot on the Food Done It? Eat on the Streets tour. The bread to start was absolutely delicious! It was soft and the outside had a nice crunch. The butter that accompanied it was delicious as well. I had a mini Cuban. On the Cuban was pernil, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. It was very flavorful. With the mini Cuban came yucca fries and a mojo dipping sauce. SO DELICIOUS! Yucca fries were very light, but still had a nice crisp. Not oily or greasy at all. The mojo dipping was great too. Our waitress described it as a garlic sauce. Service was nice and friendly.

Santa Clara healthy omelet ( but requested normal eggs instead of egg whites ). Really enjoyed the sofrita sauce on top of the eggs.

Between the warm, cozy atmosphere and a live band playing, it felt festive without being chaotic. It's exactly what you want during the holidays. Spinach, artichokes, béchamel, shaved parm, mozzarella, garlic dressing, and baby arugula all working together in perfect harmony. Easy 10/10. I'm still thinking about it and already planning my next visit just to order it again. Next up was the crab rangoon dip, which was rich, indulgent, and dangerously good. Followed by the beer cheese jumbo pretzel. They wee soft, salty, and exactly what you want alongside drinks. Zero regrets. We wrapped things up with the Kung Pao Cauliflower Bites, and they were such a pleasant surprise. The tempura cauliflower stayed crispy, the General Tso's-style sauce had just the right balance of sweet and heat, and the cashews, sesame seeds, and scallions added great texture. Drink-wise, we shared a bottle of wine from their solid selection, but I also have to shout out their massive cocktail menu, so many options that I'll definitely be back to explore it properly next time. The cherry on top? We made our reservation on Yelp . Between the food, drinks, live music, and overall atmosphere, Husk and Vine was a total win for a night out. Can't wait to return!

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not. Our second dish, the ropa vieja, was again just okay and had a noticeable sweetness to it--possibly from the peppers. The drinks were decent, and the place features a dance floor, giving it more of a nightlife vibe than a traditional sit-down restaurant.
