Dog meat empanadas
Samantha O.

I'm so upset. I ordered sopa de res, empanadas de carne and tostones with crema and guac. The empanadas have what appears like canned meat inside. They never sent the pique (hot sauce) that goes with it. The tostones never came. I spent $90 for basura. No lo puedo creer. Tengo gripe. I ordered this to help me. Me mandaron polqueria Never again.

Very good service, staff is extremely nice. Food was great and the sangria was excellent.

Set at 67f however inside temp 81f A/C could not keep up.

Attended a catered event in July 2022. I don't recommend this restaurant it took over 1 hour for empanadas to come out, 30 minutes later salads and another hour for entrées,. The air conditioning is under rated as it was over 80f for the whole event

Chicken Quesadilla

Ordered through Uber and called when my order came incorrect. I ordered a quesadilla and I noted for the chicken and veggies to be removed only cheese. When I got my food the quesadilla in question had chicken on it and was sitting in a pool of water/oil. I didn't even get to ask if I could come get a new one when the worker who answered repeatedly told me that I was wrong. I went over the receipt that Pollo Rico attaches to their bags for delivery that it was noted no chicken or veggies. He said no no no and repeated that isn't what was on the order. I asked to speak with a manager and was told no. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years and love their food and the service is normally superb. I will no longer recommend people to head there for a meal after visiting my work establishment down the road. They will no longer get my hard earned money either.

Delicious beef stew soup with corn etc. Trust me try it lol

This place is solid. Ive eaten here for yrs. Havent ordered from here in several mos however the beef stew soup is delicious it comes with rice and the empanadas are very good too. The soup is about $12. Empanadas about $1.75 or so each. If the empanadas were as good as the soup i would give it 5 stars. The staff they have is always very attentive. I reccomend this place for sure.

Nice quaint seating in bar area

Warmly greeted by staff. It's been 3 years since I've dined at this Colombian family owned restaurant but it felt like yesterday. Recognized many friendly faces. Husband and I sat at bar and watched TV on one of the three large screens they have in this area. Started with quality made Margaritas but noticed the glasses were a smaller version of what I'm use to in other restaurants. Not a big deal but they do charge $10. We were served rolls. May I suggest you serve hot crispy bread or chips and salsa. Customers would be very pleased. Appetizer was empanadas $8, 2 ground chicken 2 ground beef with a hot green sauce. Served crispy and piping hot. Pretty good, I believe this is a customer favorite. For dinner husband had Grilled steak $23.95 and said it was done perfect, very pleased. I chose Arroz Con Poll $12.95. I did like it but not as expected. It was yellow rice with very fine shredded chicken and a small blend of vegetables. It reminded me of a side item not a meal. Overall we were satisfied. This restaurant deserves 5 stars because it is a lovely establishment and serves authentic quality ingredients with a smile. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Asks us several times if all was ok and did we need anything. Thank you for filling up our water glasses without asking. We also noticed many repeat customers coming in because they greeted them by name. Nice close community of friends and family. Heartwarming to see the loyalty. Thank you, we will return.

Excellent. The wait staff were so friendly and attentive. My husband started with the chili, which was delicious, but more like a beef stew with cheese, made with small steak bites. The beef and chicken empanadas weren't great, we have had better. I don't like the filling to be a baby food consistency. I had the osso bucco (pictured) over yellow rice - amazing!! The gravy was delicious. My husband had the stuffed chicken special (also pictured), which was stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta and spinach. Again, delicious gravy and he enjoyed the dish. Another restaurant we don't enjoy enough.

Arepa con Chicarron/Chorizo ummmm..... is this the normal size?

Alright story time, so we arrive at this restaurant at 7:30pm. The host said there would be a 20 minute wait because there was a very large party being served. 20 minutes later, the host is poking his head in and out of the dinning room looking confused and not saying a word. Every person that walks in, he repeats the same thing, "20 minute wait" and doesn't say a word more. Fast forward to 45 minutes later, we're finally seated. While we were seated we waited another 10 minutes to get water and a waiter. I hate the lack of communication if there's going to be a long wait, don't say "20 minutes" to everyone... be honest is the party is taking a long time, just let everyone know they're taking a long time. There were many upset customers tonight. There's tons of room in their restaurant, but I think they have a lack of staff in general. Right now I'm looking around and there's about 12 other tables around me with just water. I think they really need to hire more staff. It's sad to see a place with great popularity and so much potential, yet terrible service. Weirdest sized arepas I've ever seen.... they probably ran out of ingredients, but failed to tell us.

One of our favorite places to go. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. They always have great specials to choose from not to mention their regular menu that has great authentic Spanish cuisine. My husband's go to is the end cut chili (it's amazing). I love all of their food, but I have admit that the frozen margaritas are probably my favorite

Came here with 2 others and the place was empty. The interior was kind of weird, it was like a house. The food tasted good but was expensive. Over time, the restaurant became busier and busier, and it became more difficult to get a waiter to take our check or bring our dessert. I had the tartufo dessert which was amazing. The fried ice cream was good, but I found it a little weird that they fried it with corn flakes as the "breadcrumbs".

Piece of metal from stainless steel scrubber

This place really went down hill. I used to be very excited to get the Arroz con Pollo whenever I was in the neighborhood. (Maybe once a month or 2) The quality of the food declined with every order. I got $100 in takeout yesterday. Very bland, the Arroz Valenciana didn't have clams or mussels, only chicken and shrimp. And what really pushed me to make this review was the surprise I found in my Arroz con Pollo! It was a metal piece from the dishwasher's scrubbing thing. (See pic) I gave this place another chance after last year when they charged my credit card and extra $20. What a nightmare trying to get it back. I called and called, I had to go there with print outs of my card statement and the receipt and they still gave me a hard time. I was going to drop it, but after the attitude from the blond manager I kept pursuing it. Finally, she gave me back the $20 in cash and only offered me a cup of coffee for my troubles. I know everyone says this but I really don't complain, I have a lot of patience and it takes a lot to get a rise out of me.

To top it off, there was a young guy singing Frank Sinatra classics in the middle of the week, which gave the place such a fun and classy vibe. For appetizers, we tried the wonton nachos, which were absolutely delicious. The meatballs and mozzarella were good, though a bit heavier on the bread than I prefer. Dinner was outstanding across the board. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, hamburger, crab cakes, and the Rockefeller French dip, and every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is trendy, with an amazing bar and great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out -- we'll definitely be back!

The old back room had been transformed into an official party room with a separate bar and restroom and closed off with decorative barn doors. The bar area offers ample seating, with the dining area ( offering table service) behind the bar wall overlooking the main stage. Greeted warmly greeted when we first entered with only a five minute wait ( we had a reservation and I highly recommend making one). Again warmly welcomed by our server Nicole who provided an outstanding service throughout the evening. Nicole was friendly, engaging and offered excellent dinner and drink suggestions. Live music was on tap on this Friday evening which did make the dining room rather loud for holding table conversations but worth the live music being played that evening. The cocktail menu offers a good and varied selection of mixed drinks and wine and the mixed drinks are both flavorful and expertly presented. I would highly recommend both the Flappers Folly ( a refreshing floral mix) and the Espresso Martini drinks. Started off with the hot honey & bacon brussel sprout appetizers which were perfectly flavored with the honey and bacon bits over crispy brussel sprouts. All main dish items were very good. The Old Sport Burgers were juicy, flavorful and all cooked to perfection served with crispy string French fries. The French Dip Au Jus was well seasoned and not to dry with a flavorful au jus. I would highly recommend the Gatsby Grain dish bowel. Shredded chicken served over jasmine rice and vegetables was outstanding and served with a side salad. Restaurant manager Cathy was very visible in the dining room checking in with every table and asking for feedback which you don't see very often nowadays. Even got a personal tour of the new party room ( looking for a location for a future event). Overall good food reasonably priced , excellent service and nice decorum with live music offered on the weekends. A great place to grab a drink and listen to music while catching a great burger or the Gatsby Grain dish bowel . You won't be disappointed.

I needed a treat. Something different. So I said you know what... let me try Texas de Brazil. I went on a Monday--figured it wouldn't be packed, no reservation needed. And it's just me... table for one. Now let me be clear--I'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg. I got cocktail dresses, wigs, and heels to fund So I went with the salad area buffet. Unlimited salad and charcuterie? I'm good with that. It's $31.99 and you get three sides included. They gave me fried banana--I thought it was plantains. Nope. A whole yellow banana, fried in sugar till it caramelized. Baby... AMAZING. You also get delicious crispy fries and creamy, silky mashed potatoes with a little skin in there. They were so good. They also give you a basket of Brazilian cheese bread. Salad is salad--your usual suspects. Romaine, spring mix, all the fixings. But I wasn't there for that. I was there for the charcuterie And they did not disappoint. A whole spread--cheeses, cured meats, olives, hearts of palm, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes. Fresh mozzarella, manchego, goat cheese, salami, prosciutto... Also pineapple carpaccio. The thinnest slices of pineapple fried in sugar for a delicious glaze. Was a good palate cleanser to combat the saltiness of the charcuterie. I could have eaten the whole platter. If you want to see the entire spread go to the website. But what got me? Smoked salmon. They had me at smoked salmon. Add some red onions and capers? I'm sitting there feeling like somebody's Bubbe Oh--and yes, they had linen napkins and actual water glasses. Real cute. Shame there were no linen tablecloths though... I love that kind of detail. Please look into it. I washed it all down with caipirinhas--had the traditional lime and the strawberry. Both did what they were supposed to do. They even serve their soda in wine glasses. Fancy AF lol Service? Amazing. From the hostesses to my server, Deliah--she was a doll. Answered all my questions like a pro. I left full and happy. Ngl the meats did look delicious. So one day I'll bite the bullet and get the full experience. I did order dessert. I got the pecan coconut pie. Didn't taste much coconut but it was good. PS: The bathroom? Clean and FABULOUS. Something about a full door stall that goes all the way up to the ceiling... yeah, that does it for me

Ours was 30 minutes to be seated. Keep a front house manager actually verifying that guests are satisfied. Deliver the food as stated if you tell the table Medium rare, don't bring medium well, to well done. Verify that the noise level isn't increased by the music being too loud. Don't run out of drinks. Invest in blinds so that the cars parking don't shine their headlights through the windows. Make sure the waiters make eye contact with the guests, don't let them walk away from the table and not serve everyone. Verify that the food being served is not being over seasoned and is the correct temperature. The salad bar was good ! Make sure the grease catchers are emptied, ( they spilled grease on my pants ) Fix the bathroom doors, both men's and women's doors are being blocked open and that is not classy. I want to bring my family ( party of six ) back, but these deficiencies cannot continue.

When you walk into the store there is a sign of items and prices and they compare them to some of the other markets in the area which is always good to see. Another plus is that they are open till Midnight and it's close to home. A year later and I'm obsessed with this super market. It's very clean and the customer service is always amazing. My son loves coming here to watch the lobsters. The seafood department always comes out with a Wegmans hat to give him and let him touch a lobster. The deli department is always nice. I love the meats from the meat section and the butcher. I love the organic everything they have it's always fresh and reasonable. The Bakery department is my other favorite part of the store. I never tried any of their cooked food. Except the sushi station. No complaints there. I tried many of their store bands and so far so good, except the cheese. It doesn't melt for some reason. I never had any issues at any of the department. From ordering Groceries from the app to looking for coupons, the app is great at navigating it all. Wegmans has a special place in my heart as I went to college upstate where there weren't many good food options. I used to go with friends to get subs from Wegmans and they were always amazing. So I was pretty excited when I heard there would be an outpost of this place coming to LI. I was pleased to see the sub shop at Wegmans churning out subs as I remembered. I think Wegmans also uses freshly baked bread for their subs; I chose the 'white everything' bread. I went with a large 'Wegmans Assorted' sub that has roast beef, ham, and turkey ($16.49). You can ask for packets of their 'sub sauce' on the side for no extra cost, which I recommend. I ended up pairing my sub with a bottle of Mountain Dew ($2.99). Total cost with tax included was $20.15. I was pleased to see that this Wegmans has a really nice seating area with a bunch of different tables and good natural lighting. You can get condiments and utensils for free upon entry. I unwrapped my sub and dug in. The sub itself is quite big, so I'm glad they still give you a lot of sandwich for the large size (I asked for my sub to be cut in quarters). However, when I finally took a bite of the sub, I was extremely disappointed. The sub was nothing like I remembered. It didn't taste bad, it's more that the sub didn't taste like anything at all. It felt like none of the ingredients had any flavor to it. It was kind of disorienting. I did some research online and realized that this is due to the cold cuts being used. It seems that the Wegmans subs of my memories used freshly sliced cold cuts of better quality, while the sub I got at the LI location used pre-cut cold cuts that were way worse quality. This resulted in a very 'watery' feel to the bite of the sandwich. There wasn't much flavor or texture to it at all. After realizing this upon the first bite, it was sad that the rest of the sandwich felt like dead weight. I ate the rest of it for dinner though cause I didn't want to waste anything. So I left Wegmans very disappointed to say the least. I guess it's true that nothing good lasts forever but I'm hoping that Wegmans can turn this around at some point.
