Sushi for Delivery? Yes, we have eaten at their restaurant and they are the best. MJ and I were in the mood for Sushi, but didn't want to go out. We looked up the online menu, made a few choices and 30 minutes later we were enjoying Sushi at home. The bag that they provided kept the hot food hot and it's reusable. We sat in our own comfortable kitchen with sushi from our favorite restaurant. Appetizer was edamame and we shared a few Rolls and a salad. Returned to Hirosaki and decided to take advantage of their happy hour program instead of dinner. Once again the service was outstanding and the food was amazing. The happy hour menu affords one an opportunity to sample the various sushi, spring rolls, tempura or dumplings along with some specialty drink items especially if one has not indulged in Japanese "finger" food before. Two weeks ago my husband and I ate at this restaurant on the high table side. The woman from behind the front desk, not the young girls, went behind the bar doing shots. Ok not so bad right? But a big guy sitting at the bar had a woman on his lap. He had his hands up her top feelings her breasts. Not bad? He and her were bombed and the drunks kept coming. He literally stood her up and put his hands down her pants. And it went on and on. Use your imagination! Bar tender was laughing, front desk woman seemed to be enjoying it. Came here for lunch on fathers day. The restaurant nice and clean. Friendly staff. Food was good. Some was definitely better than others. Our favorite appetizer was the crabmeat wrapped in salmon. The ribs were okay. I wish they were more tender. The scallops were our least favorite. The noodle was really good. I thought it was pretty price for the dish but when it came out and i saw all the food it was worth it. Hubby got the bento box and it was good. The sushi was pretty fresh. This restaurant has never disappointed. The owners and staff have exceptional customer service. My kids LOVE coming here and if it were up to them it would be every week. My daughter had her birthday here in September and they come to the table with this awesome lighted sign and sing. My favorites eats are the crunchy spicy crab rolls, shrimp hibachi with fried rice or noodles and the delicious white sauce that comes with it. Their drinks are always fabulous as well. If you know what happened here before Hirosaki came in chances are you were like me and thinking about not ever going back. I'm not sure if it's the same owners or not but all I can say is that this is 100 times better than Kumo ever was. The place feels clean and fresh, the service was top notch, and the food was better than Kumo ever was. I'm very happy with this replacement, it's better on every level compared to Kumo which I wrote off prior to the "incident" anyway. Definitely happy I gave it a chance and I will absolutely be back. Hopefully they will continue the high level of service and food quality. read more

It's modern, cozy, and immaculate. The lighting is also set just right. Not to bright not to dim. Now the most important part. THE FOOD! 10 out of 10. The sushi was fresh, creative and delicious. The signature rolls were some of the best sushi I've ever had. The hit appetizers were just as good. We even ordered the rib eye entree. That literally melted in your mouth. The staff was attentive, professional and eager to please us. The cocktails were so innovative and delicious. Each drink was garnished like it belonged on magazine cover. Upon entering this place, I noticed a strong oily smell. Before we were seated, the service was just okay. Surprisingly, our server informed us that it was his first day on the job and asked us to be patient. I ordered the Sapporo Supreme, Scallop Supreme, and Jalapeño Salmon. The Jalapeño Salmon was a good, fresh appetizer. However, the Scallop Supreme was disappointing; the scallops had an unusual texture that seemed processed. The Sapporo Supreme was a disaster. While the fried rice and vegetables were standard, the filet mignon, shrimp, and lobster tail were fishy and stale. The shrimp and lobster tail were clearly frozen before cooked. Perhaps we shouldn't expect fresh seafood for only $47 with the Sapporo Supreme. I would not recommend ordering seafood or filet mignon here. Perhaps the ribeye steak is a better option? This is the worst hibachi place I have ever visited. I hope others have a better experience. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I was extremely disappointed to hear this place is the same owners as Kumo aka the place who got a bunch of people deathly sick. Just had hibachi dinner Tuesday night at Hirosaki on Nesconset highway. They've renovated and re-opened in the last month and it was a treat. NY strip steak and really tasty sea scallops! About $80 for dinner including drinks. Decor is tasteful, updated, and creates a lovely atmosphere. Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is excellent. They could use some rubber feet on the chair legs to dull the noise on the floor and a place to hang coats, but we'll be back for dinner for sure the next time we're in town!
