We had a lovely dinner of a beef bento box, spider roll, shrimp teriyaki, crispy rice and spicy tuna, beef negimaki, tuna capaccio, and red dragon roll with a glass of plum wine and saki. Finished it off with a bowl of green tea ice cream. Service was very friendly.

You can definitely tell the difference between Hauppauge sand babylon locations simply by the look and taste of the food. It's slight differences but differences none-the-less. The Chilean sea bass app is my go to favorite thing, and Hauppauge's almost doesn't even seem like Chilean sea bass... I'm sure it is, I know it is, but, like, typically if sea bass is as thin as they serve, it's not Chilean. I dnno, it tastes great, really, but I prefer the smaller/fatter peice I get from Babylon. Both are consistently and slightly significantly different from eachother for sure. Anyway, I've had a few things and it's all been good!

The Sushi were all FRESH , some if them still warm. I asked the Long Island Foodie FB group and this place was the MOST VOTED in over 200 comments so my husband and I did not wait too long, the comments weren't wrong. We tried sushi, the fried rice, goyza and miso soup, all 10/10! The environment is laud back and relaxed, very nice! Our server was great too, cant remember her name but she is the sweetest and funniest!!

Came in for a weekend dinner. There was a 30 min wait for two. It was packed out! They give you a warm towel to clean your hands which was a pleasant surprise. I was very hungry and got the sushi and sashimi combo for myself...Tasted so fresh and they were not small pieces. They are a bit more expensive for regular rolls compared to other locations but did appear to be higher quality. Service was great and fast.

As a sushi lover, haven't been here in a long time, being the area stopped and had an amazing dinner. Sushi was great, fresh and portion sizes on the sashimi were very good. Apps included Wagu skewers which unfortunately were chewy & sent back without a problem. Otherwise everything else was fantastic. Even the salad with an amazing house made ginger dressing was so distinct versus the typical dressing you get in most restaurants. The Chilean Seabass appetizer was phenomenal, cooked perfectly. The Omakase appetizer was excellent that we also got another one to go. Sashimi deluxe with the UFO roll was perfect, fresh & filling. Marra our server was spot on, polite and very attentive. Choosing between Aji, Japanese bbq and others we were so impressed with Kotobuki and can't wait to go back.

Absolutely loved this spot. Called about 20 mins before arrival to ask if we needed reservations and they said no there's lots of tables. By the time we arrived there around 6:30, we got the last table available. So just a warning, it fills up quick! The restaurant is cute and very well decorated. We were on a time constraint so we got right to business. I had the spicy tuna over crispy rice- amazing, the Gold Coast roll and the holy tuna roll. Everything was absolutely fantastic. To be quite honest I don't remember the two rolls my hubby got, but he really enjoyed them as well. Can't wait to come back and try other rolls!

This restaurant lives up to its name with congratulations and longevity. The fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth. Every dish is cooked just right without anything to complain about. Try the bento box, sashimi or omakase, and unadorned at lunch. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and well they cook everything. To top it off, service is helpful, friendly, and fast. Parking is ample in the lot and there are stores in the strip mall to hang around if there is a line. We'll be back for sure given it's so hard to find a place this yummy at a deal too!

Amazing food, 5 Star best sushi on Long Island. Service was Great. Ambiance was incredible. Went here for my birthday. I also didn't expect to see this on the menu. The wife coughs me taking these pictures at which point her eyes became daggers, staring into my soul because I was I was guilty of taking this pictures.

Kotobuki is by far our favorite sushi spot on Long Island! We have tried close to every roll and the tasty boy is most definitely my favorite. Other amazing choices are the Gold Coast, hole in one, or crazy salmon. Everything that comes from this place is incredible in its own way. If you want a spot for dinner get there close to opening time there's always a line!

The lighting, the music, the whole ambience screams "you're about to have a great night." The service here is top-notch. Everyone is super friendly, attentive without hovering, and genuinely seems to enjoy being part of the experience. Our server knew the menu inside and out and gave amazing recommendations, which is how I ended up discovering what might be the best roll I've ever had in my life (the Aji 53 Roll, obviously). The sushi itself? Absolute perfection. Every piece looked like it came straight off a magazine cover -- fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality and the craftsmanship in every bite. Even the appetizers and cocktails were on point, the spicy edamame and lychee martini combo had me hooked before the main event even arrived. What I love most is the energy here, whether you're out for date night, a group dinner, or just treating yourself, Aji 53 makes it feel special. The staff pays attention to the little things: your drink never runs empty, dishes come out at the perfect pace, and they always check in to make sure you're smiling (and you will be). By the end of the meal, I found myself saying, "Why am I not here every week?" Aji 53 isn't just another sushi spot, it's an experience. From the décor to the food to the service, they nail it across the board. If you're anywhere near Smithtown and love sushi (or even if you think you don't), trust me. make a reservation, show up hungry, and thank me later.

Having never been to this type of restaurant before, we came with seasoned veterans so as to not be confused and/or overwhelmed. It's a lot IF you have no idea how this place works. Here's the gist of it: There's BBQ and/or Hot Pot. You can do one or both. There's a set price for adults and children. It's all you can eat for your 60-90 minute time slot. For a slight up charge, you can get both BBQ and hot pot. Since this was our first time, our party focused on just the BBQ. You are told when it's last call for having the raw items brought out from the kitchen to cook. Appetizers and sides are prepared in the kitchen and brought out upon your request. We tried quite a few: sweet fried mini buns, fried shrimp shuami, fried pork goyza, and fried spring rolls. All were yummy! Each person can request up to five items at one time. That's harder to do that you realize. And they will keep rolling it out as you request. However, it's important to note that wasting food is frowned upon so you are expected to order responsibility to avoid unnecessarily just throwing food away. Stars of the night for us were the skirt steak, short ribs and pork belly with enoki mushrooms. The zucchini and large mushrooms were standout fresh veggies. Everything brought to the table was very fresh and flavorful because of all the available sauces offered including a make-your-own-sauce bar. Again, adding personalized FUN to this dining experience. Service was quick and our table area was clean. Because the restaurant was so busy we sometimes had to trouble catching our server to order more items and get beverage refills. But it was never overly long. The evening ends with a Hershey's personal-sized cup of ice cream or sherbet. Just one per person. You'll be so full so one is more than enough! With our big group of seven people , our dining outing was a really fun experience. We'll be back and be sure to come hungry!

The meat and vegetables were well- seasoned not salty. Portion size was very satisfying, definitely enough to enjoy at a later time. We usually don't leave room for dessert but today we made an exception and went all in. The Oolong Tea Cheesecake was delicate, with light flavors and a smooth texture. The Momo Musu and the Mango Mousse Bear were exceptional. We immediately enjoyed the Peach and Mango flavors, the overall presentation, and the fresh fruit and whipped cream that accompanied it. (These two are a must when you visit) I've been eyeing Mihana for a while now, and am so happy we decided to give it a try. It was well worth it. I would 100% order the sushi again. I was also told the hibachi and chicken katsu were delicious. **What could be improved:** The fried rice and the udon noodles were the only real letdowns; both needed more sauce or seasoning. Also, when ordering hibachi for takeout, my sister asked for the traditional hibachi sauces but was told they don't provide them. That felt a bit strange since those sauces are typically a standard part of a hibachi meal. The complimentary roll was a kind gesture, but it ended up being something no one wanted, so unfortunately it went to waste. It would be great if they offered a small choice of free items, or perhaps comped one of the appetizers already ordered, just to avoid unnecessary waste. Since this was takeout, I can't comment on service or the dine-in experience. **Price:** For the amount of food we ordered, the total was around $108 -- extremely reasonable. **Overall:** I would definitely recommend Tomo Sushi, especially for their outstanding sushi. With a few tweaks, they could easily become a 5/5 spot. *Note: Not pet-friendly, as there is no outdoor seating.*

While the Hibatchi was good and prepared well, the overall experience and service left much to be desired. Our group opted for a classic hibachi dinner, and the entrées themselves were good -- cooked well, nicely portioned, and served hot. However, the performance aspect, once the hallmark of hibachi dining, was noticeably absent. The chef seemed rushed and disengaged, moving through the motions with minimal interaction. Even an 8-year-old's birthday in our party failed to spark more than a passing acknowledgment. The celebratory flair hibachi is known for was, sadly, missing. I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon, hoping for something fun and interesting outside of the hibachi menu. Instead, it arrived bland and uninspired -- a dish that felt like an afterthought rather than a specialty. It's disappointing, especially knowing how flavorful and nuanced this dish can be at other Japanese restaurants. Adding to the lackluster experience were small nickel-and-dime charges, like an extra fee for hot sauce -- something that's typically offered as a courtesy at most places. In years past, the premium pricing of hibachi was justified by the theatrics, the energy, and the sense of occasion. That just wasn't the case here. While I'm not ready to write off hibachi entirely, this particular visit to Izumi makes it harder to defend, and especially with the lack of thoughtfulness of a young girls birthday party in the group - a once strongly celebrated experience in this type of dining. A very reserved 3 out of 5 stars. One and done, unfortunately.
