Now, this review is taking place a few days after my previous visit, but I've been here many times. This restaurant introduced sushi to me in the best way possible, their All You Can Eat Sushi. You're given two sheets of paper to select what you would like to eat. You're able to select from sections such as tempura, sushi, hand rolls, soups, etc. The variety of meals are fantastic, but the sushi is what creates this experience. My personal favorite hand roll is the Philadelphia roll, but you can never go wrong with their California, Tuna, Salmon, or their special rolls either like the Godzilla roll. This buffet is absolutely fantastic, but you should definitely consider coming in a group if you're looking to enjoy this experience as much as I do. My husband and I are on the hunt for the best AYCE Japanese/ sushi. This place is the only one in the north shore we've come across, and it was good! They give you these little papers to fill out with what you want and they take it and bring you more. I like the concept, my only complaint was we got 3 rounds of food, and we order only 1 little thing at a time, and then they brought the check, so we were done. The food was good and fresh, we both enjoyed it, but thought the service concept wasn't the best. Could also be that we were there for lunch on a weekday and it was slow. I'm not going to rave and say that they had the freshest fish I've ever had or the most flavorful sushi rice, but it's AYCE so how high can your expectations be. I will say they're never super accurate with what you order in terms of the quantity - they'll usually give less because people tend to waste food. From the kitchen I recommend the miso soup, rock shrimp, and the different tempura. From the sushi menu I eat just about everything, but a highlight was their yellowtail scallion roll, mackerel sushi and red clam sashimi. For dessert, I love their matcha and red bean ice cream so I suggest giving those a try. The service is super quick even when they're busy. Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had at a Japanese ayce spot. First off, the sushi rice was warm- like actually warm- which made the whole thing taste off. Not fresh at all. Service was just bad. Our server seemed annoyed that we didn't like some of the pieces we were served, and gave major attitude about it. To make it worse, we saw staff literally sleeping on the booths in the dining area. Completely unprofessional. Also when they set up the table, they just threw the chopsticks and napkins down like they couldn't care less. No attention to detail, no care for the customers. Firstly, they do not offer a lunch price, but call it all day pricing...so lunch is the same price as dinner... Service was good, as we were the only customers, which is a plus.. This is a good all you can eat sushi spot. The only thing I didn't like is because it's an all you can eat they load up the sushi with a ton of rice and a small piece of fish to fill you up. Didn't stop me from killing a ton of sushi but just too much rice. Next time I go I will be removing half of the rice. read more

My boyfriend likes all the raw rolls / sashimi you can catch me eating the cooked rolls and the sesame chicken they offer. They make it quick and easy to fill out a sheet on what you want and then they come collect it. My bf and I were really craving sushi and decided to stop by here since the sushi place by our place was closed. The place itself looked very nice, the staff made sure to social distance all customers but the sushi was not the best. For AYCE lunch it was about $28 per person without tips. As our appetizer we got a Kani salad that tasted really bland and soggy, it was definitely not fresh. The crab meat had a weird texture with soggy cucumbers. I do not recommend that appetizer at all! We also got the chicken katsu, which was okay, it was just a lot of breading and you don't get a lot of chicken. The sauce that came with it was good though. It was sweet and tangy and paired well with the katsu. The salmon teriyaki was good, it didn't taste fishy. The sushi rolls that you get were big and will definitely fill you up! My favorite was probably the Philadelphia and spicy California roll. The eel avocado had a lot of eel bones which wasn't that nice to eat since it kept poking my mouth!! Otherwise no other complaints about the sushi rolls. The sashimi looked fresh and didn't taste bad either. I would rate the sushi a 7/10. I've had better but this isn't the worst. At the end, you get ice cream of your choice! I got the green tea and red bean. The green tea was very milky, lacked green tea flavor but the red bean was really good. It's no fun to come by yourself or with one other person because you don't get to try a bunch of dishes. Most of the things on the menu are decent and the staff are really nice. We came at a slow time and were given a few dishes that weren't on the menu to sample. It was fun! This place used to be so good. I'm not sure if it's because of inflation but the quality went down a lot. I did the ayce and the hot food was okay. The rolls were mediocre, but the nigiri. Horrible. The dish was so paper thin and the amount of rice was so much that when I was chewing I couldn't even swallow and spit out most of the pieces bc the texture became goopy. After removing half the rice from the nigiri it was better but I shouldn't have to do that. I recently came to Sushi Palace several weeks ago with my immediate family for a nice Sunday night dinner and Sushi Palace did not disappoint. Sushi Palace offers a great deal of around $20-25/per person for literally unlimited food. Note that this place is not a buffet and each item is prepared only when ordered. For the price, it is worth *almost* every penny. Surprisingly the menu includes both hot and cold foods. Some options include: several different types of soups and salads, tempura, and more "typical" Chinese-American dishes like general tsos, sesame chicken, etc. The sushi menu is also pretty extensive - sashimi, sushi and maki/hand rolls are ALL included and they also have a bunch of special rolls which are all amazing! One of the main reasons why I only gave this place 4 stars is because if you order the sashimi, certain fishes are almost frozen. The salmon sashimi is always a safe/good option, but others like the tuna and white tuna have a funny texture. The dessert includes a couple different ice cream flavors. The salads were average, but nothing special. The sushi was wrapped in seaweed, although I requested a rice roll. There were also two small white circular items included with each meal. I didn't know what they were, so I didn't eat them. It also came with tempura style vegetables, that I didn't even know were included. They looked dried out and unappetizing.
