I absolutely love these tofu buns! Only place I can find them is Koi. I usually order for pickup. Priced at about 4 each and sold 2 as an order.

Pork Belly Bun

I probably would rate this place 3.5 out of 5 if possible. First off the server was extremely nice and I have no problem with the service, the place is clean and the interior while small, is very cute. I know the reviews are raving but I found the food very average. My boyfriend got the bulgogi yutari bowl and said it was pretty good. I got the Osaka namba roll and thought it was pretty good just kind of small for a $16 special roll. Lastly we got the $10 pork buns which is already pretty steep for pork buns and they were subpar. Just very eh. They were also the smallest buns I have EVER had. And I've had many! Overall it's a cute place with nice workers but very average slightly overpriced food

YUTARI BOWL with salmon and tuna

I've been wanting to have some food from here since I saw the menu that someone left at work. Today was the day. I didn't know there wasn't any indoor seating at this time, so I ended up just bringing food back with me to work. After a look over the menu I ordered a "YUTARI BOWL" which to me was essentially a poke bowl. You were able to pick your base of greens or rice and protein. Included toppings were seaweed salad, crab, lettuce, edamame and crunch. I was able to chose between lemon soy or siracha aioli. There was a ton of choices for proteins; tuna and salmon, eel, tuna, salmon, beef, chicken, spicy pork, pork, veggies. I went with tuna & salmon, brown rice and siracha aioli as my choices. It was a very filling and flavorful lunch! It wasn't a long wait for take out either. I did have some time to look over the menu, and I will be ordering from here again. Although my order was take out, service was friendly. The bowl was a little on the pricy side in my opinion at $16...but the quality was amazing.

Sushi platter

You cannot dine in this restaurant since Covid-19 but we decided to order a large platter for take out lunch at work. The restaurant is pretty small and no one was over-friendly. Nothing really wowed me as far as choices went either. It was a large platter but the rolls are pretty small with not much to them. Masa in Babylon is to me the superior sushi place in my area. Would much rather sit and eat there and have that great Japanese experience.

Tried delivery from here and it was great! It came in a timely manner and the time as expected upon ordering. The food was one of the freshest I've had. The kani salad was fresher than any others that I have had at neighboring/my usual sushi restaurants. The rolls that I ordered were delicious and extremely fresh. Very pleased. This may become my new go-to for takeout/delivery.

"Fried rice"

Fell off, still do not do dine in which is ridiculous, you are a Main Street establishment. Ordered sashimi and it was still frozen. This was the beef "fried rice" ... it was just white rice with a touch soy. I also ordered a bunch of rolls and the spicy crab had so many shells in it, couldn't even eat it. Not the 5 star restaurant it used to be. Never returning, waste of $100.

Chicken Yaki Soba Noodle

I ordered takeout from here twice recently and it was delicious! Their soba noodles might be the best I've ever had...however the tofu. Where is the tofu? It just tasted like strips of deep fried nothing. It was all breading. Lightly fried tofu cubes would be much better!! But the noodles made up for it. I just ate around it. My daughter loved her noodles with the chicken. The cucumber avocado roll and shrimp tempura were delicious. I love their mango aioli sauce. The shrimp fried rice was also really good. Besides the tofu, everything else was incredible and when I'm in the area I'll definitely be back!

Came all the way over here to realize that it's take out only. We lived pretty far and the employees were nice enough to let us sit by the counter on the side to eat our dinner. The food was amazing and fresh and made pretty quick. Service was great and the staff was so friendly. The bombs were the main reason i wanted to try this place and it did not disappoint. They were so full of flavor. The tuna buns where good and a lot bigger than we expected. The pork fried rice tasted great and so full of flavor. Gave us the hibachi taste. My son wanted the chicken ramen which he enjoyed. He wish it came with more egg tho. Overall we will be back to order again!

Yakisoba Noodles with beef

I was previously at koiKKR after a weekend outing in LI. We weren't looking for sushi, but had a hankering for Japanese bites and hot foods, and was told they have an extensive menu. We did end up ordering one of the specialty rolls towards the end of the meal, and it was delish. It was topped with tuna and salmon, and had a pretty name but forgotten. Their buns are very popular, seen at other tables in many variations. We tried the Pork Belly and Crispy Chicken buns, tasty morsels reminiscent of ones you'd find at popular Japanese restaurants in Manhattan. Also had the Chicken Kaarage with Sirachi aioli over rice, which was a homey tasting Japanese-style rice bowl. The kaarage was similar to the ones in their buns, crispy and tender. Yakisoba Noodles with beef was also a nice dish, stir-fried with a slight char and good flavors. Will come back if I'm along this way, and actually check out their sushi/sashimi, but don't miss the rest of their menu!

Fantastic Japanese and Korean cuisine, easily the best in Long Island. Sadly only takeout post Covid.

Great sushi and reasonable prices. It is located off of Main Street in Islip which makes it very convenient for me.

They have done away with indoor dining. They rearranged the whole place and now it is takeout only.

None that I have seen.

I eat sushi more often than I'd like to admit. Good sushi too. This place compares to above average…read moreManhattan sushi joints. Not high-end, but above average. For the price you are paying, you are getting a good deal on most of the sushi, and chef omakase or tasting menu. On our recent trip, I ordered the $50 omakase, while my my brother and sister in law ordered the $75 chef special. How they differed, we were not sure. Later we found out that we were both to get a variety of dishes all of which were rather outstanding. Unfortunately, my $50 entree came with a rather boring close of 3 salmon, 3 tuna, and 3 scallop sashimi's. However my brother and sister in law received a true omakase tasting featuring approximately 10 sushi all of the better higher-end cuts, along with a special roll. The overall ambiance of the place is done up nicely as the price point suggests. Not entirely overboard, but just the right touches. The service here is also quite attentive with hosts and waiters being very welcoming. Just be mindful that they do get busy as most places during peak and weekend hours. I've learned my lesson and will not cheap out here and will order the $75 omakase. If you're not as hungry, they $50 will do, just know that you will be getting more sashimi than sushi, and the cuts will be your basic run of the mill. The $75 omakase is where things shine from start to finish.

Never been here before but always in the area shopping and we decided to give it a try and I'm happy we did. Came on Saturday around 6 and we came at the right time cause it started to get packed real fast. Upon arriving we were seated right away and I started off with a few sapporra beers. For food I got the fillet with shrimp over fried rice and my wife got chicken over fried rice. I also got a shrimp and chicken tempura roll and both were excellent. Very flavorful and very good sushi! The hibachi was also very good and I will definitely be back. I really enjoyed this place and I love how they have great happy hour specials and New Year's Eve deals! If you haven't been here you definitely need to check this place out! Food and service were great and the food was reasonably priced. I felt for what we got in food and apps the price was definitely cheaper than I expected! Will definitely be back and can't rave enough
