1/2 Chicken with Avocado Salad
Donathan D.

The food is amazing avocado salad, chicken and rice and a half of chicken can't beat it. It is enough to feed a family. Basically the service is great. The lady showed kindness. The ambience is nice not too big not too small. Good for takeout and dining in you have to try it with something different but very delightful with that green sauce. I had to get extra very good.

We made no appointment. Came in as a walk in for lunch. It was a little busy but service was quick. The Peruvian rice was really good. I recommend.

The extra aji sauce I asked for.

I've been coming here for YEARS. The food is always delicious wether you choose to dine in or to-go! And you get great portions for the price! My go-to is always the Peruvian rotisserie chicken but they have other great menu items as well! I also love getting lomo saltado and jalea from here. Today I did get an order of calamari, which was cooked to perfection! Super crispy! I love dipping it in the aji sauce. The green aji sauce is a must-try! It goes well with everything!! During my visit today I asked for extra and this is what they gave for no extra charge!! I will continue to always come here with family and friends. Highly recommend this place.

This place has good chicken and Salchipapas and Anticuchos- But the Papa a la Huancayina did not come with a hardboiled egg! I forgot that the last time they did the same thing- I had to come home and cook my own egg to add to it- not good especially for the $9.00 they charged!

I've ordered many times from this place in the past haven't had issues until recently. Got raw chicken the last 2 times I've ordered. The last order I requested well done chicken and got what's in the picture below. Food quality has gone down in past month. When I spoke to a manager they gave me a bullshit excuse that the chickens are farm raised . You should not have blood in a properly cooked chicken l. Just leave it in the rotisserie for 10 more minutes. I will not be bring my business back here.

Costa Peru has been bookmarked in my Yelp list for a while, and on my birthday, my mom asked where…read moreI wanted to go for dinner. Milford's restaurant week was happening, and Costa Peru was on my list, so I decided to go there. My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Lomo Salado was also a hit; the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the tender Lomo meat practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was my first time trying it, and I was curious about the taste. Honestly, I didn't care much for the texture, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. My son picked the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, which was pretty good. It's not something I'd order again, but I'm glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu.

I love this bc it seems like the Peruvian version of Korean Army Stew . Really delicious fried rice/fries - very crispy/not oily; really perfectly roasted/seasoned roast chicken! Really friendly, helpful server; dying to try the gelato balls for dessert!

The menu clearly states that prices do not include tax, which is perfectly fine. My issue is not…read morewith paying tax, it's with how I was charged. The owner, who was working the register, charged me more than the menu prices plus tax. It appeared that she rounded up the total and added extra charges that didn't match the posted prices. When I asked the employees about the pricing, every one of them said they didn't know because only the owner handles the pricing. I asked for an itemized receipt because the total didn't seem right. Once the receipt was handwritten by her, it showed I had been overcharged, and the owner immediately had to issue me a refund. What was most frustrating was how casually the situation was handled, as if overcharging a customer was no big deal. If your costs have increased, update your menu prices. Don't charge one price on the menu and something different at the register, she claims she's charging you tax but she's rounding up amounts to the nearest dollar and even more on some items like the rotisserie chicken. She's stealing from her customers and then became upset and raised her tone of voice when she got caught. She's also not nice to the employees, you can tell they are afraid of her. My advice to anyone eating here: always ask for an itemized receipt and check your bill before you pay. Don't assume the total is correct just because the owner is ringing you up. There were also flies on the food served at the buffet so we asked for take out. The food was good but she ruined everything for us because she's very rude and unprofessional.

BEWARE!!! My family…read moreof four went to Las Delicias de mi Tierra (1262 Suffolk Ave, Brentwood) because my mom spoke highly of the food. Keep in mind--we were a group of four. The menu states in fine print: "We charge $5 + service tips when the party is 5 or more." My mother ordered a soup but found it tasted old. When we informed the waiter, he was attentive, and my mother even praised his excellent service. However, when the manager got involved, he told us that if we didn't accept the soup, the cost would be taken out of the waiter's pay. This is not only unethical but illegal--an employer cannot deduct an employee's wages over customer dissatisfaction. That should have been our cue to leave. Unfortunately, we stayed--and soon regretted it. When the bill arrived, we noticed they had wrongly applied the automatic gratuity to our group of four. My mother went to the register to respectfully point this out, holding the menu as reference. In response, the owner grabbed the menu from her hands and dramatically ripped it into pieces while declaring that all the prices were wrong. She assumed we were arguing about food prices when, in reality, we were only trying to correct the mistaken automatic gratuity charge. At no point did the restaurant have signage stating the menu prices were outdated, nor were we informed of any price changes. Still, the owner escalated the situation, became irate, and showed clear disgust when we questioned the automatic gratuity charge. As I tried to de-escalate, simply asking to be rung up so we could leave, she dismissively told me, "You are in a Spanish restaurant, speak Spanish." The microaggression was completely unwarranted. She then falsely accused us of harassing the waiter--despite our repeated praise of his service. When my mother reiterated how great he was, the owner sarcastically snapped, "If he's so good, why don't you take him home with you?" This restaurant may have "good" food, but the owner's hostility ruins the experience for anyone who dares to speak up. What should have been a simple correction of an incorrect automatic gratuity charge turned into an unnecessary escalation. After leaving, I checked Google reviews and found many others who had similar experiences with the owner's attitude. One of the co-owners, Christopher Goicochea, provides his personal number for complaints. When we called, his only response was, "What do you want me to do about it?" This lack of accountability is reflected in how the owners aggressively respond to negative reviews rather than addressing their behavior. If the restaurant wishes to dispute this review, I offer them to release the unedited restaurant footage and audio. Otherwise, I suggest they: - Clearly post signage if menu prices are outdated - Print updated menus - Encourage the owner/s to improve how they interact with customers and handle concerns more professionally If you value being treated with respect, AVOID THIS PLACE. For the record: After the automatic gratuity was corrected, we paid our bill in full and even left a cash tip for our wonderful waiter, who truly deserved it.

I enjoyed being welcomed by their plush Alpaca at the door. The service was great, they were attentive and when asked for recommendations they were good with providing them. I like that it's run by Latinos too- giving it the extra hint of authenticity. What we had: - Grilled Octopus: So perfectly cooked and seasoned!! Such a tender bite and it paired beautifully with the sauce it came with. My only complaint is there wasn't more! - Adobo: My friend ordered this and enjoyed it- the beef was tender and the mash was a good combo. - Tallarines a la Huancaina: This is what I came for!! Was craving some steak and tallarines and this hit the mark. The sauce on the tallarines is so delightful and compliments the steak well- the steak is such a hefty piece and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I devoured this plate and left no crumbs. - Brownie with Lucuma Ice cream and toasted Quinoa: We took their recommendation for dessert as it was mentioned we could not miss out on their Lucuma ice cream- this was a delight!! The ice cream tastes similar to dulce de leche and the brownie was light and airy. I enjoyed this meal and restaurant overall and would definitely visit again.
