Margaritas

My hubby and I came here on a Friday night in April. Wasn't too crowded, nice ambiance. The service was great. My hubby liked his meal. I thought my enchiladas lacked flavor but it was still a fun time. Margaritas were okay too.

I thought I ate here once before & didn't love it but decided to give it another try since it was a while ago. & I shouldn't have. I'm not a fan of bad reviews unless I had bad service (which I didn't here!) the staff was nice enough & place is clean but it all comes down to food ... & the food had no flavor, it was over priced (3 plates $80!) & portions were small. I got the chicken/ cheese enchiladas with rice/ beans & there was no flavor what so ever ! Even after adding their hot sauce which was not good either, it still tasted blah! My husband & son each got bandeja paisa which the steak (carne asada) which was full of cartilage & there was barely any rice (see pic, no rice under meat, what you see is what we got!) & where is the maduros ?! Always comes with it (but not here/ this time) Super bummed Wouldn't go back

Do not let the location deter you. So what if there is a sleepy motel behind this restaurant. You are not going there for the night, you are going to eat. What do you want when you go out to eat? 1.) great food - Panchita Grill has that covered. I always get this Veal Dish that has a mango sauce on top it is delicious. My wife gets the typical Colombian platter (so much food) Also get the fresh guacamole it is so tasty. And our son loves the Mora Drink. 2.) great staff - Panchita Grill has that covered. All the staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful. 3.) ambience - guess what? Panchita Grill has that covered too. The decor inside is so cute and warming. They also have the option for outside seating but that area could use some help. The inside is much nicer. We used to only come here for special occasions but last night we went cause we were looking for tasty food that was different than the run of the mill chain places. Give Panchita Grill a try, it won't disappoint.

Vegetarian combo 21 in take out form.

Visit Date: April 3, 2016 I wanted Mexican. Hubby ate with his buddy and I was on the way home from the outlets so I decided to try this place that I have passed before. Unfortunately it wasn't that great. I ordered a Vegetarian Combination Platter to go and was sorely upset when I took it home and ate it. The tortilla chips and salsa tasted like dog food. Didn't enjoy them and gave the chips to my mother in law for the birds. The gaucamole tostada was disgusting, I managed to get through half of it but just couldn't eat it. The other two aspects of the platter the chille relanos and vegetarian taco were only edible because they were covered in cheese. The rice was alright, not great and the refried beans were the best of a bad dinner. Stay away! It's a trap for horrid Mexican food.

Beef burrito and cheese enchilada with rice & beans. Only $7.50!

I had a wonderful lunch experience here and will be going back often as it's close to my job. This place isn't much to look at from the outside, but the smell from the outside said it all. Inside it is an authentic Mexican restaurant. They have the music, the sombreros, the little knickknacks, etc, giving it a good vibe. They start you off with homemade tortilla chips and salsa which I had to stop myself from eating before I got too full, they were so fresh and hit the spot! We ordered half a pitcher of housemade sangria which, for 2 people...this was enough. They also offer a whole pitcher of sangria which would probably be great except I had to head back to work ;). The menu offers a wide variety of things that are very reasonably priced. I went with the beef burrito/cheese enchilada combo which was $7.50 and also came with a side of yellow rice and refried beans. The food came out fairly quickly and it was gone just as fast as it came out. AMAZING. I was pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied with the meal. The service is also something to be talked about. The men working there were SO nice, helpful, and very attentive. They always came around to make sure everything was ok, and even poured more sangria from our pitcher when we were getting low. Overall, I had a great time here chatting it up over sangria and stuffing my face with chessy deliciousness of Mexican food. I'll be sure to try something different next time, maybe some white sangria too to mix it up!

Great food, service, and decor. It's one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. Been here many times and always consistently satisfied.

Rincon Guanaco Restaurant - Pupusa de queso con loroco. No flavor on the tomato sauce or the curtido.

Sadly i will say that the curtido and salsa de tomate which is the most important side dish of the pupusas, were both tasteless, no salt. The curtido had no carrots or onions, no oregano, plus to make curtido. The cabagge has to be prepared well ahead of time so that it actually absorbs the vinegar, salt and oregano flavor. The watery tomato sauce, zero taste. My wife did not like the cheese and loroco pupusas, they had no color coming from the flat grill, cheese was ok, the dough in the pupusas was slightly thicker than what i like. But they definitely needed more color. The chicken tamal had some chick peas but no potato and a little piece of chicken but the masa had a lot of taste. The yuca chunks were fried too much but the pork was tasty, crispy and tender. They offered us a green sauce, which was just ok. All the food lacked flavor, having just visited my family in San Salvador, i knew it was not going to be a great experience but i had high hopes. Tamal de elote while it was a home made product, the corn was not sweet and when they presented it on the plate, it was already unwrapped. So i doubt they wrap them inside the corn husks, which may be the reason why it was crumbling on the plate. Dod not have bad taste but it was not great and the crema was very thick. I couldn't get the savory experience that tamles con crema usually deliver.

I would suggest the pupusas with pork and cheese and bean and cheese. Be sure to call ahead as sometimes it can be a 15-30 minute wait because they're prepared fresh. I also recommend trying it with the green sauce that they make themselves. Every time I visit I wish I try something else because the food looks and smells good but I'm usually running in quickly to grab pupusas. Hopefully I can venture out into other menu options

Upon entering it felt like we were going into some exclusive nightclub. The outdoor dining section is covered and beautifully decorated with tropical flowers and plants. It looks like something from the Caribbean. If the weather was cooperative we would've asked to sit outside. The inside ambiance was nice too. There's a lot of natural light that comes in from the large windows and skylight. Again flowers and chandeliers adorn the space. There are also decorative carving figures mounted in the back wall. A DJ came in and was mixing Latin music which gave an upbeat vibe. I truly felt like I was on vacation in the Dominican Republic. The food was even better than the ambiance. We really were sure what we wanted to order but after speaking with our waitress we both ordered Mama Fango stuffed with meat. This is a dish consisting of sweet plantains mashed, seasoned, and fried into a little bowl shape then stuffed with your meat of choice. I went with the white chicken. The flavors were complex and overall delicious. The white sauce is like an Alfredo with cilantro. It is a very filling dish and I ate every last bite. My friend ordered the same but filled with churrasco. The meat was tender and rich with flavor. If you are celebrating a birthday, then this is the place to be. They make such a scene with light up signs and cakes and singing... the whole place becomes a party. I've never seen anything like this before and it was great! My Cuatro Leches cake came with a candle and happy birthday written in raspberry jam across the plate. The caramel top was a nice touch and complimented the cake well. The best part was the service. Our waitress, Laura really made this visit special. She was upbeat and attentive. She had excellent recommendations and was very accommodating. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend to others!

The restaurant was busy, and they offered valet parking, which made arrival easy. When we arrived, our table wasn't ready yet, but the staff kindly asked if we wanted high-top tables by the bar, which we declined. The bar area is quite expansive and has a cozy feel, so I'm not sure why I didn't recognize the restaurant from my previous visit. Once seated, we were promptly approached by our server, who took our drink orders with promptness and friendliness. One thing that hasn't changed is the restaurant's lively atmosphere. Its noisy and can be difficult to hear each other, especially if you're sitting near a crowded table enjoying sangria. The lively ambiance is part of the experience, but it does make conversation a bit challenging. For our meal, I ordered the Lobster Meat & Shrimp in garlic sauce, which I found to be very flavorful. My partner ordered the Chicken Lemoine, and she enjoyed it very much. Overall, our dining experience was pleasant, and the service was excellent throughout the evening. Sangria 71, I will most definitely return for Happy Hour.
