Super Authentic and 10/10 would recommend Usually I get the pork and cheese pupusa (which is like a flour tortilla filled with pork and melted cheese). I love the steak and onions it comes with a small salad and rice and beans. I tried the veggie soup instead of Chicken today bc I had so much they were kind enough to give me half an order. Love this place. If you live local or are looking for a new spot the food here will not disappoint

They offer a huge menu offering everything from tacos and burritos to pupusas and Mexican dishes. The prices are very reasonable as well!! We tried some tacos, a steak burrito, a mixed papusa (pork, beans and cheese), and a quesadilla. Everything came out quick and was hot! Service was great, quick to be seated, quick to get our drinks and quick to hand the check when we were finished. We will definitely be coming back here after dance for dinner in the future!

I was prepared for the worst, honestly…read more My takeout meal took over 30 minutes to make. Thirty. And the place was empty. The bare-bones urban bodega decor was ugly in a charming kind of way. Shelves contained an odd assortment of goods for sale, from knockoff perfumes to maroon-colored sugar cookies. I finally went to pay. Vegetarian burrito, spinach pupusa, corn tamale, and a large serving of horchata came out to an unbelievable $11 including tax. $11? That's so cheap. Too cheap. This can't be good. I went home and warily took a bite of my corn tamale. And it was fucking amazing. It was like your El Salvadorian grandma went to culinary school and made her signature dishes for you right in her own kitchen with the freshest ingredients. I realized that my meal took 30 minutes to make because NOTHING was premade. There was no day-old guac blend in my burrito; instead, there was an avocado, ripened to perfection, that had just been peeled. The spinach & cheese pupusa was seemingly crafted by gods--warm, savory, expertly cooked, light yet filling, and sitting atop an incredibly delicious cabbage salad in chile sauce. My meal had an amazing non-greasy lightness that I've never before experienced at other restaurants with similar food. Hands down way better than Besito, and that's saying something. And did I mention it was $11 for a full dinner? Anyway, that was last night. You can guess where I'm about to pick up dinner. Again. Moral: do not judge a book by its cover. This new place in town is a hidden gem. GO. Asap.

The selection of prepackaged goods is modest at best, but the prepared hot food is awesome. By 9:30am the kitchen has churned out fabulous breakfast dishes and is working in lunch ones. Tortillas de aguacate (crispy tortilla with beans, fried egg, and sliced avocado), eggs over easy and scrambled warmed me up. I also dipped into the lunch foods straight away. Rice and beans, plantains, cabbage salad and steamed veggies are all favorites. I will certainly be back to try the fried, baked, and grilled chicken, various soups, beef and veggies, and fish. It all looked so good! Oh also - the coffee was excellent (and I do value a good cup of coffee). This seems to be family owned or at least family operated. While the steaming trays appeared from the kitchen carried by one woman or another, a few kids bounced around in various states of getting ready for school. It doesn't make for a quiet morning, but you feel like your part of a big family getting ready for the day. Two plates (four items total) and a coffee came to $8.40. Bargain! Go ahead and treat yourself next time you're in the Port Jeff area.

Parking is free and convenient (for anyone unfamiliar with the area) The restaurant is family owned, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The inside is super cute, and caters to groups 2-4/ 4-6, possibly more if you can push some tables together, overall, pretty spacious. We each ordered the Taco Salad. Mine with steak and the other with chicken. It was DELICIOUS, just so flavorful. The portions were pretty decent, so much so, that I got the other half of mine in a to-go container. They have an array of options for drinks, but of course how could I not have ordered a Jarritos?! I will most definitely return here, especially because on my way out, I saw that Birria Tacos were added to their menu. Based on the quality of the food I had that day, I have no doubt those will be just as good

This time around, I ordered the chicken soup, shrimp and potatoes empanada and a few Columbian snacks. The prices may be a bit higher, but the portions have not skimped in the slightest. The soup was pretty much 2/3rds chicken and in this economy? Not complaining at all. It even came with the lil cob of corn again! The shrimp and potato empanada was filled with fluffy potatoes and shrimp. Make sure you get the hot sauce to drizzle over. Its like cholula with actual heat and makes a great addition to the nada.
