Food is great, sometimes with the language barrier they get takeout orders wrong. The food is five star, the service is more like a three or four. read more

We've been coming here for years. Excellent service, very fair prices, great food. The margaritas are fantastic, even in Mexico it wasn't as good. Family oriented, plenty of parking. Highly recommend. read more

This is a spot we hit often when we're in the mood for breaded steak. The portions of food are huge so sharing is the way to go with meals. We order breaded steak, sweet plantains, rice and beans for delivery. The restaurant get packed quickly so there's usually a line during dinner time. read more

I was coming here when a typical platter was, $ 10.25 a breaded steak was $12.95 And the taste has diminished considerably. Beans had little taste. the beaf soup of which I loved was a big disappointment no flavor . In fact I usually finish right down to the last drop. Not today! No taste. Meat seemed to be taste less and not as lean as typically had. Maybe its this bowl but wife commented also . The cilantro seemed to have more parsley than cilantro. The liquid in it seems water down. But the real shocker was the price. Granted, a sizeable portion, but doesn't account for no flavor. Most locals frequently come here so they may not notice the gradual changes. But I returned to NY after 10 years. So I immediately noticed the difference. We use to eat here a minimum of 2x a week. And had many of their dishes. Today our waitress of 20 years working here recognized us. As frequent customers. Well wait a while and try again but I can assure you it won't change. It becomes economics . At 26 bucks for a breadded steak from 13 bucks . Ps change your prices we find on Yelp. Typical platter is still posted as $ 10.25 now 26 bucks read more

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. This time I recently went I called in and ordered a bandeja for pick up. When I get there the lady in the front was extremely rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. I asked her if I could please get the dressing for the salad and she said she has no idea what I'm talking about? Then I get home with the food to find out that food is super under cooked there was no salad dressing and no hot sauce either? After they said it was in the bag. I'm just very disappointed with the service and the food overall. I have no idea why these people have such nasty attitudes but if you don't feel like working then do us all the favor and don't take it out on the customers. read more

Food is always delicious. I have been coming here over 10 years. I always get the breaded chicken, or the Carne Asada. Their chicken soup is pretty good as well. You get a lot of food you will definitely not be able to finish your food in one sitting. Prices are very cheap for all the food that you get. The service is very good as always. Drinks are very strong. I have no complaints about this place. read more

Food was amazing and service was top notch. Everything was a great experience and definitely coming back soon!

Great little place on Suffolk avenue. It's easily missed. Walked in great greeter. Menu is in English and Spanish. The food was more than enough. I was disappointed because they didn't have oxtails. The ribs were a bit rough. The chicken was good . I was told to try the empanadas. Overall experience was ok. read more

Been going here since I was a little girl new to this location I've been trying out this one in bayshore and it was going good until couple orders I've been receiving when it comes to ordering some empanadas to go before they were stuffed and delicious and can barely eat the third one . now it barely has any meat in it and all your eating is the dough it's wrapped in and tn was the last straw and last time I give these ppl my money completely disappointed and upset . read more

It has nothing of a Colombian restaurant, neither the attention nor the customers. That made me doubt eating in this bad place. In all the time I have visited restaurants this is the worst, I ordered an ajiaco and they brought me a soup for which I asked for capers and heavy cream and they told me they didn't have it because nobody asked for it, it also brought a large piece of chicken with bone something that the ajiaco does not bring, when trying it it was a simple chicken soup because it did not have arracacha, it was a boxed chicken soup to which they had added a potato, 3 yellow potatoes! the side dish was a triple portion of rice, chopped horse salad and vinegar, and they dare to charge $15 for that is bad food. Pretty bland ... couldn't wait until I got home to tear threw it and then I took a taste and . They give a great portion ,but come on how do you roast chicken without it having a taste ? The fries were even bland I put salt on them but the damage was done they were cold rubber with salt in them . This broke my heart because I really love a roasted chicken and I won't lie I think I felt a moment of confusion and depression behind this let down. The parking is terrible -**not their fault.** The food comes a plenty for the price which is decent. But the taste ..is a eh-nah. read more

My ex-husband's Wife's mother passed and we wanted to have a special meal delivered to their house from Mia Tierritta. They totally messed up the whole order put me on hold until I would hangup. Their listing stated that they delivered when they didn't. I called again and they were extremely rude and hung up on me. I will never go there again. read more

When getting in the restaurant, it smells weird like moldy or no ventilation. Picada dish is over cooked and no aji or any kind of sauce, if you don't ask for it. White sangria is prepared with cheap Franzia 5 liter box white wine. Server could barely describe how food is prepared. Overall service, food and atmosphere 2 out of 5. Not impressed and expensive. read more

I went back recently and it seems like they either changed the seasoning they use, chicken supplier or something, because it just doesn't taste the same. I don't think I will be back. read more

I had to kill some time in between trains & we wanted a bite to eat looked up what was close by & this place was not only close but also open late located across the street from the train station about a 5 minute walk. Stopped by got an order of the Arepa con queso as well as 2 orders of the empanadas plus some manzana soda to drink. Decent empanadas stuffed with a lot of meat which is always a good thing but the shell was soft I prefer when it's nice & crunchy. The Areapa con queso was not bad expect they use mozzarella instead of that white Colombian cheese not terrible but not as good taste better with the Spanish cheese. As for the place nice size seating up front which by the looks seems to be for quick orders the inside area more restaurant like. Service was good at the take out counter & prices are decent. read more

Good food, Quick service. I hate the fact they don't serve yellow rice but what saves them is the flavor of the lime and chimichurri sauce. It taste amazing on anything you pair it with. read more

My boyfriend and I have been here a couple of times and always loved the food. However, the last two times we visited I noticed that the food was good, but not as great as it use to be. On my last two visits I ordered the seafood casserole and the Plato tipico. The seafood casserole lacked favor in my opinion, and my pork lion and steak was so well done it was borderline burnt. If it weren't for the green spicy sauce that the give I don't think I would have enjoyed my food. We're definitely given them another chance but not so soon. read more

Quick service, friendly staff! One of my first Colombian spots in Long Island. Ok besides my own home! LOL I love love being here. People speaking Spanish. The restaurant is more of a family oriented. You can have a nice dinner with groups or a few people. Casual. You are here to enjoy your meal so dress comfy! There is a great selection of empanadas, soups, grilled or rotisserie chicken. Steaks... oh I love steaks. No way can I be a vegan. I know healthier and all that ...but I refuse! I don't smoke, I never done drugs...so leave me be!!! LOL Ooh and you must try the fruit drinks. Delicious!!!! Passion fruit or granadillas as the Colombiano's call it. read more

I have eaten at this simple restaurant several times in the past few years. The food is ok and the prices are just a bit higher than one would expect but not unreasonable. the chicken is probably the best thing on the menu. I think theirs rate about 7-8 out of 10 but the other items on the menu which I have tried about a 6. very convenient if you are in Brentwood. parking tough in the front but there is a parking lot in the rear with plenty of space. read more

Food is great! Service is fast! Price is cheap and quality is great! Only downside is maybe the place looks kinda old and it seems small. I could care less about that though, it's the food that matters! Had the meat platter, sausage appetizer and friend had the fish soup. Everything was delicious. Maybe I was just real hungry but the taste really showcased the meats themselves and was properly cooked and full of flavor. Did I mention it was quite cheap? Two people came out with takeout boxes and only costed $35 after tax and tip. read more

Well unfortunately the previous reviews were correct. The service was very very bad and I'm upset at myself for not being more careful knowing what previous reviews stated. I love trying new Colombian food and this was my first time ever ordering from them. I picked up my order and they had forgotten two items and one of them was a whole plate of rice and beans that comes with the steak. Shame on me for not checking before I left the restaurant but when I got home I called them. I told them about the missing items and how I was not going to drive back 20 minutes to go get it and I would just take a partial refund. They gave me the complete run around and kept putting different people on the phone in which all of them were either clueless or acted like they didn't know how to fix it. Eventually they said "call back in half hour when the manager is here." Sure enough, I called 1 hour later and "the manager" was still not there. Suddenly, seconds later another person gets on the phone and says they are the manager and are processing a partial refund. Well its been almost two weeks and no sign of a refund. Their food was good but be careful if you decide to go there! read more

This place has unproffessional employees answering the phone. During the quarantine I was trying to place an order for pickup and a very rude lady answered the call...sounded like she doesn't want to work, very bad customer service. Had a craving for Latin food. My husband had been here for lunch & suggested we come here. We really enjoyed Mi Tierrita, a clean and casual restaurant filled with local families. We shared very tasty sangria & empandas for an appetizer, but let me tell you that you should probably skip lunch if you are coming here for dinner. Maybe breakfast too. Portions are huge. Really huge. Gigantic, really. I had the Mi Tierrita platter, which came with pork loin, steak, a quarter of a rotisserie chicken, salad, avocado,& rice and beans. My daughter had a platter that had pork rinds, plantains, egg & steak and rice and beans. My son had a half chicken that came with incredible chicken soup that had tons of chicken, potatoes & cilantro and rice and beans. My husband had tongue, wtih potatoes and, yes, rice and beans! Inexpensive and delicious. Service is nice-wish my Spanish was better. Will definitely be back. read more

Stay away from this place. Shame on them for up charging and not fulfilling the order correctly. Absolutely disgusting & very unprofessional! I ordered pick up- 2 'bandeja tipicas' and not only were they picking up the food without gloves when I walked in, there was a piece of FISH in my food (my order doesn't include any kind of fish) AND the pork was burnt! What if I was allergic to seafood? They responded with "sorry about that, won't happen again". OBVIO because I won't be coming back! Usually an establishment apologizes with either reimbursing the money or replacing it with a better order. Absolutely RIDICULOUS! Que sucio este lugar, no pierdan el dinero acá!! Terrible read more

If you're in the mood for some spanish homemade cooking & for a great price, this is for sure the spot to come to! Massive portions for so little money! Count me in. Took the husband and mother in law out for some lunch. Ordered one plate of the half chicken special and split that with my husband! HUGE portions. My mother in law ordered a chicken soup, HUGE and lots of chicken. The empanadas were delicious. I am completely obsessed with the green chili sauce that they bring out for the table. Let me just say that I love Colombian food. Especially the chicken. Well... Let say only the chicken. Not the steak, not the blood sausage, not the fish. I'm only gonna judge this place on its glorious chicken. To me this place is great for its rottiserie chicken. The flavor is outstanding and the value is unsurpassed. $11.95 for the half chicken platter which comes with a huge side of white rice and black beans. The chicken is served on a bed of French fries with a small helping of lettuce and a tomatoe. While waiting for your entree you are served what I call the dirty chicken soup. I call it that because its not your average outta the can clear consomme with a few nuggets of dried out white meat. This is your cooked for hours fresh vegetable pieces of chicken on the bone including the gizzards chicken soup. You can't see the bottom of the bowl Til you've slurped up the last drop. And you will. It is arguably the best chicken soup I've ever had and by itself is worth the price of admission. I've had some of the other items on the menu and the only other thing worth having in my opinion is the arroz compollo with authentic chorizo sausage. The so called steak here is dry thin and overcooked. I do see that its ordered quite often but I can't explain why. I've tried it and I think it would make a better sandle sole than an entree. Just have to be honest. It hurts me to say because as I've said I love this place. The service is fine the place is clean and the parking is good. Oh! Don't let me forget the sangria. Man its good and also a bargain. They also sport a full bar but it depends on who's manning it if you want a good drink. EAT HERE! Order what I told you and you won't be sorry. There, I'm done. Rave over. read more
