Their food is so good I eat it with my hands because I'm too excited to use a fork and need it in my mouth right now. The staff are *amazing* and hook you up with a delicious platter of whatever floats your boat. I always think I'm going to order something else when I go but the pernil calls my name and it never disappoints. Do yourself a favor and try their food!

Hands down the best deli. The pernil, arroz con gandules and ribs are amazing. They went above and beyond on my Christmas catering order

They make alcapurrias de yuca, stuffed with beef my FAV. It's ground cassava, filled with ground beef and fried, yummy! A treat for sure.

The rice was really good and that green creamy sauce for the chicken was perfectly spicy ! 10/10. I got the yellow rice, chicken, sweet plantains and salad and everything paired together so beautifully! I would recommend everyone to give it a try! Good Peruvian food in Long Island is hard to come by and this spot right here, took the crown. Super friendly, good service and quality and portion is great! Took pics of the aftermath of the food because I couldn't contain myself!

We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress and help with figuring out what to eat. We ordered sangria to start and was given a large pitcher; the sangria was delish and strong! For apps, we ordered the calamari. They give you a good amount and serve it with pickled onions, which complimented it well. For the main, we got lomo saltado, which is steak in sauce and fries.. The steak was juicy and tender and flavored so well. We also ordered the arroz chaufa and fries, which is chicken and Peruvian fried rice. Peruvian fried rice is now my favorite fried rice ever! I loved it. The portions are a good size and so yummy! I can't wait to go back!

I must admit, I know next to nothing about Salvadoran and Honduran sweet breads and pastries ("pan…read moredulces"), but that was no problem when I visited the lovely Lela's Bakery in Central Islip, because everything I saw looked delicious, and everything I tried WAS delicious, even if I am not sure what they were called. I was hungry for lunch, so to start, I had some tasty bean and loroco pupusas, washed down with a cup of horchata. I hadn't had loroco before (the flower buds of a vine, tasting similar to broccoli) but it was great. Next was a big selection of pan dulces to take home for my family to sample. The woman behind the counter was kind and patient, helping me to choose a dozen or so different breads, all of which turned out to be excellent. Besitos, conchas, the crispy, peppery pan de nudos were a few I remember. Anything left over, have it with your coffee the next morning, you will thank me.

It was busy with Spanish-speaking patrons so I took that to be a good sign. If you don't speak Spanish, it would be helpful to know what you want going in. Don't bother with all the fast food in the area, this is fast and real, and good!
