It's good for a few things quick cheap and easy shopping. I honestly go there a lot to get the dog bags of chicken and stuff like that. The service line is good they're quick never a problem. It is a big space and good prices if you want things there. I like stop and shop but for the price you can't beat it read more

I absolutely love ALDI!!!! They are not like the conventional supermarket that you'll find. Instead, it's like a hybrid between Trader Joe's and the 99 cent store because of their deep discount and unconventional quality goods. I came here on a Sunday and love that they have free parking on premise. This just make the shopping experience so much easier and more convenience. They are also located at a shopping center so should you need to go to Best Buy, Big Lots, Home Depot, it's all there. As for the store itself, the only reason why they lost a star is because they don't have as much goodies as I would have wished. Their IG and website seems to promote more items then what the story carries. Other then that, I'm still a fan of ALDI as they carried so much healthy alternative eats. I found a lot of Keto friendly items and even 100% grass-fed sirloin steak for $9.99. That's an unbelievable price. As for the store, it was fairly organized and well stocked with the limited items that they offered. The store was quite crowded when I arrived and everyone in there was in compliance and wore their mask including staff. I'm really crossing my fingers that they will open up more locations in the NYC area so traveling far to grab my goodies would be so hard. read more

I've been to many different locations of this franchise, and I must tell you if you want to be treated poorly, want to not locate an item because it's either out of stock, or do you want to have your car rammed with rogue, shopping carts, and all in all just the worst customer service you've ever experienced then come on down to Aldi in Bayshore. I was literally in heaven at this ALDI's. I'm a bit far from home but I'm SO glad I decided to stop by in here. First and foremost, every item I was looking for was in stock. The store was neat and organized and the stock staff were super helpful. I even found a very rare and hard to find item of garlic bread with cheese by the brand Mama Cozi. I was in and out within 30 minutes of doing a full shopping. I can't even begin to think of the last time I went into a local Aldi and was in and out. If I'm ever around the way, I'm definitely going back. read more

This Aldi has pretty much everything. Spacious yet crowded. Lots and lots of items to choose from. Everything is fresh and fairly-priced. The lines move quick and the cashiers are friendly. Parking lot is huge. My only issue was no carts! I don't know where they were! I was able to snag one from someone packing up their car but when it came time to bring ours back there were no others to hook it into so alas no quarter back for me. read more

My parents have shopped at Aldi for quite sometime...I knew they had great prices, but I went to the grocery store that was less than 1 mile away (best market) out of convenience...once they closed I had no choice but to find another store. Went to Aldi and was pleasantly surprised! I have heard their produce was iffy at times, but it seems they've stepped their game up since I started shopping there. They pretty much have everything I need at a much more affordable cost! From produce, to my love for hummus ($1.65!), to a nice cheese selection...even great meat, seafood, and frozen items! Nice array of healthy snacks and even almond milk at the low price of $1.65, they really can't be beat. I'd prefer a deli section as opposed to presliced or prepackaged cold cuts, but I'll take the fact they have awesome cauliflower pizzas over that small issue any day. I also decided to try instacart and ordered quite a large order last night which was promptly delivered this morning. The shopper kept me informed and checked with me when she couldn't find something, or needed to see if I was willing to replace it...there were a few items that ended up being refunded, but I'm very happy that Aldi works with instacart to get my groceries to me when I can't make it to the store! Food market I have been a growing fan of Aldi and almost always use the Lake Grove location so decided to try their other stores just to see if there was any difference. The Bay Shore location, oddly enough, blows away Lake Grove in terms of available goods - sounds weird but they just had so many more items to choose from that I almost thought I was in a different store. For those of you who are not regular Aldi shoppers, everything is their in-house brand, but the prices are ridiculously low. Like Trader Joe's (who they own) the quality is very good but the selection is more limited. I've always wanted to visit an Aldi even before moving to the Northeast. I noticed they're quite national but aren't that many stores. Seems to be missing all the glamor and praise that TJ or Wegman gets however but personally I thought this is place is great if you value more on bang for the buck. Most of what they offers are packaged foods although even their fruits and produce are priced very competitive compared to the major grocery brands. Definitely saved quite a bit coming here and they have most of your basic needs covered. Their fresh food selection is much more limited given their store space and focus. However for what you can find here its definitely great value, just be expected to stop by Shoprite a block over when there are things you can't find here. Like others have mentioned they only take cash or debit card. Also definitely need to bring your own bags otherwise be ready to buy their reusable carry bags. I certainly thought their quarter deposit system for the carts is quite ingenious although if you weren't prepared for it definitely a bit of pain. Seems to work very well in cutting down cart littering as Their staffing is a bit more limited though even without someone outside to get the carts. When I was there only two lanes were open and wait was maybe about 10 minutes. Not terribly long wait as I went close to closing time around 7-7:30. Again I suppose all these limitations are what one have to put up with for their very competitive pricing. Overall I think this is quite a decent place for your basic grocery shopping but I find it hard to be able to replace those bigger one size fits all major brands. I come here almost every week after exercising in the morning. The store is clean even during peak weekend hours. If you're borrowing a cart, make sure to bring a quarter. You get it back once you return the cart . The prices at Aldi are unbeatable! Sure, the selection of groceries is a bit more limited, but I find everything I want here. My only grip (and it's a tiny one) is their fruit selection. Otherwise, everything they sell is easily 30-40% cheaper than the nearby supermarkets. And that's the whole point of Aldi. I find their product quality just as good, if not better, than other places. In my case, the chicken breast never disappoints, and is always fresh here (can't say the same about meat farms). It's 2018, Aldi stores have been taking credit cards for a while now! read more

I Love ALDI.I actually learned about ALDI in the early 90s when I lived in Illinois and visited the store religiously in Clinton Iowa.So Super happy we have a store in Bayshore. This is a weird ass store, ya'll. Good but weird. It's German owned, so that should tell you something. Aldi's doesn't believe in stocking their shelves, they kind of just leave it in the box. In fact, the boxes are the shelf. They hardly carry any brand names and they don't supply customers with bags. You can get the basics here and the basics only but you're going to have to experiment with their weird-ass brands. It's a hit or miss but try it and see! The food is cheap enough. read more

No-frills versions of the products you find at the supermarket, the quality is very good. The prices are amazing. Bring Your Own Bags! and a quarter for the cart. FiberOne bars ALDI version taste just like brand name. The eggs have a bible verse inside. The fit and trim vanilla yogurt is great. Pistacio price is better than anywhere I have found yet. Fits fine going to the Aldi in Bay shore!! It has the same concept as the one in Brooklyn, but it's still nice!! It looks like it's still under construction with putting there foods in the places it needs to go, and building it up to its potential! But overall I got what I needed to find, and can't wait to see the finishing touches they have to do. read more

This store was recently refurbished and laid out nicely though they have a tendency to move stuff around on you when you revisit the store. The majority of things are cheaper than a regular super market like, dairy, bread, cereal, canned goods, frozen food, chips, tissues and toilet paper. Fruit and veg are hit and miss. Some interesting seasonal goods that are a good price too. The downside is they don't have the selection a regular supermarket has but if you're a cheapskate like me it's good. The staff on the whole are very surly and overworked and always look bored or angry and getting help sometimes is hard. Almost impossible to figure out who the manager is? I always meet the nicest co-shoppers in this store which is nice. All in all you can probably do about half to two thirds of your shopping here so definitely worth a visit. Don't forget a quarter for the Shopping cart. read more

I love aldi's items and prices. However, the management staff is terrible. Very unprofessional and lack the company's best interest in mind. Aldi, itself, is great! I am a very big fan of Aldi's in Bay Shore because the prices are normally below the other "grocery stores" in the area. I can get at least half of what I need for the week in a few minutes. The quality of the cookies are excellent, especially the "knockoff" Girl Scout type ones (mint). I like the Aldi buys and often try new foreign products because they are fun and different like the German version of Jaffa Cakes. I appreciate the quickness of check out and the way the staff works very hard to make this a successful store. The only negative I have is that produce can be a bit "of a miss" and go off quickly and the bread must be frozen then thawed because it often tastes stale. It's also disappointing to find an item you like then next week or weeks after you never see it again. I rarely buy meat here because prices seem cheaper elsewhere. read more

An odd store with some interesting buys. Unfortunately you can never find everything you'll need here so when you're done shopping at Aldi's, you'll generally have to to go to another market.. Aldi's is like a cross between Trader Joe's and a Dollar store, but it doesn't quite equal either one. Unlike those, you have to bring your own bags and pay a quarter to use a shopping cart. Corporate seriously needs to have a talk with Joseph at this store. Very rude, condescending to clients, snatching money...overall bad attitude. A big part of shopping is the experience and I normally visit the store out in Lake Grove. However, I happened to be in the area so I decided to stop in and save time. Worst decision I made that day...I bought about 4 items and didn't grab a cart. When I pulled up to be rung at the register Joseph storms out to bring in a cart so he can put my 4 items in. Snatches my cash and drops my change back into my hand. He needed a void so the "store manager" came by and noticed he wasn't providing good customer service. All she did was pat him on the back and told him would get through the day. Ridiculous leadership at this store and also not to mention the money beggars harassing you outside.. Why have I not shopped at Aldi's sooner. I am really kicking myself over that thinking of all the missed savings. I don't mind having to deposit a quarter for a cart, I also don't mind bringing my own bags. They basically sell a lot of their brands and I've tried a bunch of their stuff and I found it to be good and comparable to big brands. They do sell some branded items at well at very low cost. The biggest savings here is on meats, frozen foods and snacks. I wish there were more Aldi's in Queens (with free parking lots) It's kind of pointless to have to pay for parking to shop at the Queens one because the fee negates some of the savings. I'd rather drive to another location such as Bay Shore. Not only because of the parking issue but it's much less crowded because it's not within a big mall. Less people = easier and better shopping experience. read more

It is smaller than Stop & Shop, but roomier than 7/11. I love the store for smaller (maybe) rare items or Seasonal stuff. It won't replace a Supermarket, but for a novelty store, it works. As I have stated earlier, I love the store. Check it out. read more

I shop at this store whenever I'm passing by a few times a month .When I lived in a small town in Europe an aldi (or lidl)2 German brothers competing supermarkets .. aldi is the more upscale discount market chain.) in Europe their openings were a major town event ..it meant the town ' arrived' .they were like mini walmarts/ target ( took a big bite out of the other supermarket / small stores in town with low prices/ & their drygood weekly special shopping model..I hate the u need a quarter 4 the shopping cart but in Europe 2 need a more expensive coin .if you don't byobag, they eave unpacked cartons 4 u 2 take in carts around the store..the food selections, mostly their company derived names ( same brand names as in Europe are fine, but I find some tin cans are thin & dent easily & they don't have mc Kennedy's .brand here which in Europe are sold as their ' specialty American brand )' but they have clancys, crofton, & the like.ive seen their food lines improve.their grygoods r good but a little more expensive here ..newer .better salad dressings , etc. some seasonal food items I wish were sold year round like the 3 bean salad & frozen herb marinated lamb roast are a super deal ..in Europe they have ' in store bakeries 'that r fab...not here though.they have a lo employee : customer ratio (don't expect a lot of floor help they're basically there to pack out items )but it's like that in all their stores worldwide..they have been becoming more American style friendly...recently allowing credit card use & now gift cards.their unadvertised markdowns r great ..bought 8" potted mums for 1.99 last time on clearance .super deal.They have some unusual & gourmet items that would easily cost double at a local supermarket..the store is always clean .& they also stock a few common American item brands..it's a great place to shop for certain items always at a lower price than other stores.almost all their branded items are high quality. & it's a total discount market European shopping experience . read more
