When I order a 1/4 of the chicken and fries and salad (the combo that they advertise to be $14-18), it runs me about 20-25$ including them adding extra sauces. However, I tested this theory. I let my Spanish-speaking friend order pick up over the phone and asked the lady on the other end what the price was. She says to me it'll be $15. First I ordered white meat and was sent dark meat. The fried rice had way too much ginger to the point it tasted bitter. The chicken and rice also tasted old. The fried yuca tasted like the oil it was cooked in. The plantains were super hard. The French fries were soggy but honestly the best tasting thing that arrived. I popped them in the air fryer and was good to go. I was really hungry and so upset since I'm home on medical leave and can't cook or drive. It was so bad I through it out. I hate wasting food and money but I just couldn't. The green sauce wasn't even good. I've never written a review like this before but try them at your own risk. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by a smell of delicious food and a beautiful and quirky interior. They have many drinks and snacks based on the Filipino and El Salvadorian roots of the restaurant! We've had many items off the menu but our favorites are the tocilog, longaniza, garlic rice, and tamal de elote. Portions are large and always fresh. Everyone who works here is also very nice and accommodating. They always substitute garlic rice when requested which I appreciate.
