Good food, quiet and quick. I was in Media around 1 and needed a place where I could still get breakfast, somewhere good, quick and friendly. Koffee Korner was the perfect place! I had walked by before and never stopped in until I saw it on Yelp. They have a selection of pancakes and omelettes and lunch items, but I just wanted eggs and toast. The eggs were fine and the hash browns were the best home style I've had. I don't like them under cooked! I will definitely go back. The only downside is parking, but that's a Media trait. Street parking is tough but the spots are big enough for even me to manage parallel parking!! read more

This place must have been good long time ago but it looks like a run down diner at some bad part of town. Okay so i was curious , so i went and ordered chicken sw. I got my plate with chicken sw slices which were covered with really soggy chips. The sw were ok. The decor was old and looked run down and dirty. In the end i had to go to ATM to get cash to pay for my check. THEY CANT EVEN ACCEPT CARDS! what is this 1950's ? Move to modern era ! Please ! read more

I have been here a few times with family & have always left happy everytime. The staff is very friendly & engaging. They are attentive to your wait time & making sure that you have full coffee cups. The portions are definitely generous and a value for your bill. They have nice weekend specials for both drinks & entrées. Personally, we are rather large fans of the sweeter side of the menu, such as a mainstay like strawberry french toast & a special like lemon-poppy ricotta pancakes. However, their savory menu is quite good, as well, with pleasing offers of huevos rancheros & omlettes. It is admitted a bit if a "hole-in-the-wall" location with some cramped aisles, but the seating is still appropriately spaced. As an update I'll say the Mexican is easily one of the best breakfast in the Philadelphia area, get it with the pumpernickel toast!

This place is my new favorite breakfast place in media. My friend and I got to Koffee Korner early, so seating was plentiful. Some patrons came in when it was more busy but were immediately given a table outside or a spot at the counter. The waitstaff were very friendly and always ready to offer more coffee or ask if our food was to our liking. The food menu was extensive! People in prior reviews called the prices expensive, but having been to brunch at a number of places in Philly and in Media, I would be to differ. The amount of food is amazing for the cost! I had made to order pancakes and my friend had an omelette. We couldnt even finish the meal! It was so filling and tasty! They serve La Colombe coffee, so I was sold! Went here yesterday. There were 2 other tables in the place, but it took 5 minutes to get a menu, and then another 20 minutes to get a simple breakfast. Waiter wasn't knowledgable about the menu offerings. Coffee was average at best. I wouldn't exactly call this place clean. The only highlight was my Kennett Omelet. Ham, mushrooms, onions, and swiss cheese. The home fries were very good. My daughter ordered pancakes, but received french toast. She said her breakfast was terrible. Won't be going back- ever. Bummed. That's the best way to sum up our breakfast yesterday. I was excited to return since our last breakfast almost a year ago was so tasty. Sad to say this place is rapidly declining. Our service was non-existent. The one waitress who was half waitressing and half lunch prepping had a friend come in and we were completely ignored. Coffee never refilled, side of sausage never brought and other drink refills. Disappointing. The Huevos Rancheros were the most disappointing of all, lack of taste, just two eggs tossed over chopped veggies (not salsa) beans and cheese. The avocado was half brown. Coffee was still delicious, I would have loved a second cup. The decline can be seen in the cleanliness too, trash on the floor and messy tables. We won't be back any time soon, too many other good places to try in Media. read more

My husband and I have been here for breakfast several times and just returned for our first Mexican dinner tonight. The service is great, the food is amazing. Creative breakfast options and I felt like I was in Mexico with their authentic Mexican menu. Although the food comes out hot and tastes fresh, I just can not get past the looks of the place. It makes me question the cleanliness of the dishes that I'm eating off of. I've been there 3 or 4 times and I swear I saw the same stains on the walls and tables every time. It's dirty, but in a way that could be fixed and cleaned petty easily if they wanted to actually care. Maybe that's the part I didn't like the most, how easily it could look nice but it shows an utter lack of effort and giving a crap. But like I said, the food was good. To be honest, I didn't even eat here--just went in to catch a cup of coffee & kill a half-hour before a meeting I was early for. But this place is awesome--what a classic small-town diner! I had three separate interesting conversations with people sitting at the counter, and the counterwoman & cook were super friendly. Had the good fortune to stumble into this place for lunch last week. (I was on jury duty). Tried the special..a chicken caesre wrap with charred tomatoes. Fabulous! Plenty of fresh grilled chicken in the wrap and the dressing was excellent. It's a cool little place with a good vibe to match the food. I've been going to the Koffee Korner for years, even before the sisters (current owners) bought it and it just keeps getting better and better. It has always had fresh, quality food and great company. The staff is friendly and they remember you whether you come in every day, every week or once every few months (but once you go there you'll want to go as much as possible!). They do standards well - burgers, omelettes, (the best fresh cut and fried potato chips that are just plain yum). It's just great food in more of a coffee shop type atmosphere than a diner - I'd call it a local joint more than anything else. I love this place. Anything of the basics that you want they do and do well. BUT - and I will say this right up front - if they have a special GET IT. They do fun, inventive food every day and sometimes you might try something that you may not have tried before or even known you liked. Last week the staff suggested the special of almond and cherry pancakes (and by they way their pancakes are fluffy and crispy and amazing). I got the special and they were simply the best pancakes I've ever had. They were fantastic and I ate every last bite of my pancakes, the great smoky bacon that came with it and the wonderful coffee. The salads are inventive and very good (and good for you), the wraps they do are fun and great tasting... go to this place and go often. Also, if you're in the mood for great Mexican food, stop by Koffee Korner on Wed., Thurs. or Friday evenings. The food is fantastic, the homemade chips are amazing, the guacamole is to die for, and the entrees are hearty, tasty and taste like they could be from an upscale Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia charging much much more. And a big bonus is that you can bring your own wine - or your own tequila to be mixed with their homemade margarita mix! - and have a nice, reasonably priced night out. I just wanted to add that with all the fast food and big chain blah blah blah food out there, supporting a local small business with two great owners makes me feel great too. The sisters are so nice and personable and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable in their establishment. The staff is homey and sweet - it reminds me of "Mystic Pizza" in a way. I was really excited this morning, there was a coffee place near where I had a meeting. Its Saturday! Me and my daughter went in this morning, My meeting was at 9am, and since we were less than a half a mile away I believed I had enough time. We got in there at around 7:45am. Only a few people at the counter, and all the tables were empty. My daughter has special needs and with crowds she gets anxiety. We were not given much information other than a card menu and the special for the day. I gave the small business the benefit of the doubt! I said I wanted coffee and my 8 yr old daughter said she wanted tea. We got it in a timely manor so no issues there. We had never been there and stated that right away. No welcome, no nothing. My daughter stated she had to use the restroom and the entire time the staff avoided us like the plague. There was what looked like a broom closet next to our table, but no sign saying restroom or anything like that. I told my daughter to peek in, YES it was a bathroom! My daughter got 1 pancake, 1 French toast slice, and 3 slices of bacon. I am on a keto diet at the moment, so all I could get was 3 bacon slices and a ham slice. The waitress was weirded out by my choices. I did explain to her I was on keto at the moment. Our food took about 15 min. no big deal. By the time the food came I was about 1/2 way done my coffee, but I also had a cup of water so I was okay with that. I ate my food, and my daughter slowly ate hers, but we were done eating by about 8:20 at the latest. Around 8:15 another waitress who was not ours came by and grabbed my finished plates and my coffee cup. I figured she would bring back more but she never asked if I wanted more just took it. We waited and waited for someone to come over....Nothing. Sat there looking around. By around 8:35 our waitress came back and asked if we wanted a box. My daughter ate about half. I said yes. She came back and dropped off the box and once again ran away like the plague. I waited 10 more min. for someone to bring me our check. Nothing. I got up at 8:45am and walked to the front door. I said I never got my check I wanted to pay. Our waitress was there and stated that OHh we don't do paper checks anymore, as she proceeded to grab a paper check and add up my total. She never showed me what I was being charged. I just got a total of $28.xx. I told her I didn't know we didn't get checks you didn't tell me that, I told you I had never been here before. She said ohh well your doing well for your first time. WTF does that mean?? Like I had never been to a diner? Ive been all over the country, we are a military family. I paid the $28.xx added NO TIP for the first time in my life and left, swearing to never return! I was so mad by the lack of customer service from such a small business. I saw my same waitress talk with other guests and other customers, and the constant stares like I was a outsider was inappropriate to say the least. I usually time 30-50% knowing that waitresses have a hard time, but that was the worse place I have ever been to!!! NEVER AGAIN! read more

This place is open for Breakfast and lunch in Media. I work night shift and go out with the wife for breakfast once a week.I 've eaten at a lot of places and breakfast is usually reasonably priced. This place is on my favorite list. Its also a good way to start the day. Koffee Korner is family owned. Another customer told me its run by two sisters. Its very friendly and there are many regulars. I got a breakfast sandwich and the wife got pancakes. They have maple syrup-for added cost-if you don't want to pour HFCS on your pancakes. The food is good and the coffee is OUTSTANDING. Its the best coffee in Media. I asked the staff about it and was told they purchase it locally from a Coffee importer/roaster. While eating I noticed people coming ina getting take out coffee. I can understand why. You have lawyers from the courthouse, workers, locals, etc. all eating here. read more

I always love going to koffee korner. They have great specials. Some of the best breakfast potatoes around. Great huevos rancheros. Great omelets. Awesome berry pancakes. Love that they offer real maple syrup so you don't have to put high fructose corn syrup on your pancakes. Most items are organic and fresh. They get busy but its worth the wait and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Its always a great start to the day going to koffee korner. Great coffee especially the mochas. read more

So, we liked the food, but had a terrible service experience. We were sitting at the counter, and one of the food preparers insisted on cutting the potatoes on the counter two chairs away from us...pounding on the counter repeatedly for 10 minutes until we finally asked him politely to stop. (My wife has 4 spinal fusions, so that kind of pounding can be unbearable). He began cutting somewhat softer (he never stopped), while complaining to everyone who works there, ridiculing us for having asked...we were 3 feet away from him and could hear him, but he didn't care. Finally, we complained to the management, who apologized. After such an experience, we'd be hard pressed to ever venture into Koffee Korner again. read more

The place is a little dirty inside and run down. The food was so so. My omelet was under cooked and slightly cold. The home fries as well, kinda cold and under cooked. The potato's had the skins on them and they were really hard. I have had much better, its a shame, great location. Just clean it up a little and make some good breakfast dishes. How hard is it to make a good breakfast??. I won't be going back. Market street grill in west Chester has way better food for the same price but its in West Chester. There needs to be a good coffee place and good breakfast place in Media I don't know of any. read more

Just went here for breakfast for the first time after reading the great reviews only to be terribly disappointed with the food. We ordered the eggs with home fries. When our food came out I thought the kitchen mistakenly substituted the home fries with bacon bits, but no...they were potatoes. I may not be a home fry expert but I'm pretty sure oil should not be seeping out with a gentle push of my fork. And while it's rather difficult to mess up eggs, the whole meal was less than desirable. The only redeeming factor was the friendly and attentive service. read more

Totally missed what everyone is raving about here. Food was fine although cold, service was not (never greeted, had to ask for someone to take our order, had to ask for refills of coffee/water, never checked on, the counter and floor were covered in previous diners' food etc.). As someone who works in the industry, I'm very forgiving about service. When we asked for change for a twenty we were met with a great deal of attitude. Hey guy it's not a $100 and I'd like to tip? In the future I'll pay twice as much at house or bittersweet for good food and service. read more

Haven't tried too many things there. My friend swears by their special breakfasts. I went simple one day and gave them a shot and got a breakfast sandwich on english muffin with bacon egg and cheese. This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have eaten...muffin was toasted on the grill with butter and had the most awesome crust which was an unexpected surprise...nice sharp cheddar and crisp thick good quality bacon. I have now gone three times since that first and gotten the same exact thing because it was so good. I will have to try something else sometime! read more

I had a not so great experience a few weeks back. Waited 1 hour & half for 2 orders of pancakes & some bacon/sausage. Was really disappointed & turned off. Decided to give it another go today because I really like their pancakes. Service was friendly & quick, environment was casual & comfortable. More like it. Going to chalk the bad experience up to a super busy day. I'm always willing to give something a second chance. Glad I did, and hopefully it stays a good experience. read more
