This place is an absolute Gem and the guys who runs the place is very generous and knows his stuff. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area with superior hospitality. I come here regularly when I'm craving authentic delicious Mexican eats.

Stopped here for a late breakfast, early lunch in the middle of May and was completely blown away by how good everything was, as well as the homemade quality and authenticity of the food. Up until this point, our go to had been Los Machetes on Chester Pike in Prospect Park, but this is easily the best Mexican food that can be found in the area. Hands down. The place was still extremely new, and despite some work being done on some stucco and painting while we were dining, we ignored the contractor working and really enjoyed ourselves. The service was great, with a down to earth staff that was eager to talk to us about the dishes, the ingredients, their history, and the restaurant and family itself, as well as how their experience has been since opening, and what sets them apart from other places that have opened up locally recently. Starting with both tamales rojo and verde, I was blown away by how moist and perfect they were and still so light and fluffy. In my experience, going to a restaurant, they usually end up very dense and just slightly off when it comes to them reaching the table, but these were as if they had been made by a family member and then popped right in front of us just as they finished steaming. Next, everyone had something different. My wife, a seasoned expert in enjoying chilaquiles made from scratch by friends and family, was blown away by her chilaquiles in verde with chicken and my daughter has since been completely addicted to quesabirria from anywhere she can find it; but this place started that all for her. I was simply captivated by the fact that this is possibly the only place I have found outside of Philly that offers tripa in any dish, and even in the city that is still a limited selections of places. Once I saw it was on the menu, I naturally ordered the tacos tripa. They were heavenly, with crispy, perfectly pan fried insides and all the standard toppings you would expect to find on a double corn tortilla street taco set. Unbelievable! Flavor and entire experience completely on point and unmatched by anything nearby outside of either Philadelphia or Wilmington. La Esperanza is in a strange location wedged between multiple businesses with a small driveway right on Baltimore Pike, and if you blink you will miss it. However, I highly suggest that you glue your eyelids open with super glue and don't pass this place by and get in there and try the real Mexican sprouting up in central Delco now.

Very legit spot for Mexican/Guatemalan. Everything is fresh, nice flavor, and honestly,…read moreunexpectedly good. I always felt taco spots and Mexican restaurants are kind of underwhelming in the northeast, so I was skeptical initially. When it comes to ethnic food options, I take it as a good sign when I see less common items on the menu (like the squash blossom here). Service was polite, restaurant inside is small but clean, street parking was easy to find, and I can't say a single bad thing about this place.

Colorful and flavorful would be how I describe the decor and the food. What I ate: Tacos De Asada (3) - Grilled steak, Cilantro, Radish, Cooked Scallion, & Salsa (the brown salsa is indescribably delicious. It has a smoky, spicy flare) I usually eat steak medium and didn't ask for it to be prepared that way, so it was well done and not to my liking. However, it was very tasty. Al Pastor Buritto - Spicy Marinated Pork w/Pineapple, Flour Tortilla, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Refried Beans, Rice, Sour Cream & Cheese. I'm smiling as I write this because this was the highlight! I was instantly punched in the taste buds, in a fantastic way lol. I texted a friend that lives in Drexel Hill while I was eating and said if he hadn't been to El Buen Sazon he had to go. Not only does he order from them once a month, he said he told me about them awhile ago. Lol I guess things truly happen when they're supposed to. Great service, great food, BYOB, street parking out front and there's a parking lot entrance on the block. I highly recommend you visit!!!

To preface this with a little about my experience with the actual food here, there's nothing…read moreinherently good not bad about the tacos, burritos, etc from Yosemite. However, there is nothing that sets them apart and with all the wonderful choices of Mexican options in the area as well as in the city, this would be my absolute last choice to get classic Mexican street food in the area. I decided to finally write my review after this visit, being my third time giving Yosemite a try, and I am not sure if the business has changed hands, or if there are any extenuating circumstances that have influenced the business, but this was easily my worst experience of the three. We ordered most recently as part of a community school promotion. It turned out to be a complete debacle. I tried to order multiple times through their site but the code we were told to use simply wasn't working, so we called in and were given an attitude. So I then attempted to order again online and simply placed the order without the code working properly. Apparently we were not the only people experiencing this same problem and I am hoping that the fundraiser did not suffer from the obvious issues that were occurring. When we arrived to pick up our order we were perplexed by the fact that upon walking into the restaurant, there was simply no one there. I stood around for a full six minutes asking if anyone was there and no one even answered. I did see some phones and a lovely vape charging on the prep counter, so there had to be someone working the restaurant, especially because our order was received and was supposedly prepared. After the short wait in an empty restaurant, a woman appeared and did manage to match me up with my order, which was mediocre at best. I was happy to have my food, but was weary it was not even supporting the cause I had decided to order to support. We will not be returning to Yosemite. We have given them enough chances for food that simply is found much better elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.
