This was an Uber Eats delivery and if you can impress me with delivery-- auto 5 stars!! Food arrived warm and fresh. Hearty portions and great flavors. Guac wasn't too oniony, chips fried perfectly. I got mixed grill and ate off it for 1.5 days later. So much food and good price too. Wifey got the steak torta. Good tender meat, little fat. Chicken tacos were good flavor too! The cucumbers you wouldn't think would work--- but they do! The fresh component hit hard. I'd go here in person! read more

Came in here for lunch the other day while at a customer and was pleasantly surprised. The dining area is very causal, however, the service and food was next level. Very authentic atmosphere with the food to back it up. I ordered the birria burrito and it did not disappoint. It was full of flavor and delicious. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

We originally loved this restaurant the first few times that we went there. We raved about the food and recommended this to our friends and family but this time around, it was different. We ordered a few items which were all delicious but the Consomé that came with the Quesabirria was not good at all. It tasted watered down and we even felt bad about telling the staff about it. When we mentioned it to them and the body language of the woman changed completely and i did not feel welcomed at all at that point. They offered to change the consomé for us but since we were sitting next to the kitchen, we heard their conversation and it left such a poor impression on us that we wont be coming back. Always saw this place on DoorDash but was skeptical, came here last night it was raining hard and backed up so our wait was 30 minutes for enchiladas and tacos. my food was amazing the mild verde was an excellent sauce, He said his tacos were great and he doesn't really eat Mexican like I do, he said everything came together so well, the flavor and his tortilla he said was even good plus both the sauces they gave us on the side. I will come here often, he said he could come at least 3x a week lol. read more

Food and service are amazing!! Amazing little secret spot. I have come here a bunch of times with my wife and have never been let down!

Once again we gave this place a try. It made me sick to my stomach last time which was about 4 months ago. My husband went this week and woke up in the middle of the night to vomit. I REFUSED TO EAT IT AGAIN. He said his stomach was hurting all night until he vomitted. So I don't know what they do in the kitchen, but something ain't right. The crazy thing is it was actually good. I have no complaints about the taste; however, the pain was unbearable. Good luck to whoever gives it a try. But El Chapulin.. DO BETTER read more

After my second visit, El Chapulin is now a favorite Mexican restaurant. It has the authenticity and charm of a traditional tacoria, but with refined recipes and artistic presentations of an upscale restaurant. The two sauces with the chips are perfect. Great service, too! I'll enjoy my exploring the menu more on future visits. read more

Before tonight El Limon was our go to Mexican place. Now, we may have at least a tie. I had the chicken tinga tacos. I must say the tinga flavor was tremendous. It even had a touch of sweetness to it. My wife loved the chorizo Mexican nachos. The guacamole and chips were both made to perfection. And the street corn is loaded with toppings and flavor. Today, March 23, is National Tamale Day and I figured what the hell. With plenty of good reviews I gave El Chaplin a shot, first time. Walked in and was greeted by several smiling faces. Ordered 2 tamales and a chorizo burrito. Tamales came with both red and green sauce on the side. I personally prefer red but both were tasty. The burrito was a bonus. Extremely flavorful with chips and quac on the side. Won't be my last time visiting this little hole in the wall. read more

I think I found a new go to Mexican spot. I ordered the suadero burrito. It was a nice size and I welcomed the chips and guac that came with it. I will say it had a bit more rice than meat and I missed the beans. The meat was well seasoned and tender. Sauces red/green on point. Will be back! read more

We need to try more dishes... had the birra tacos (until the baby knocked over the birra) and the pambazo. Never had a pambazo before. It was pretty mild, felt like just a potato filled sandwich, couldn't notice the chorizo, but I still enjoyed it. Just don't unwrap it and hold it in your hands directly if you don't like having red fingers. Spouse loved the birra and would love to have it again. Delicious food. Gigantic menu with tons of options - even breakfast! A real family vibe - multiple generations working behind the counter. El Chapulín gets two thumbs up from both me (a native to Philly) and my husband (who is from Mexico). Nothing against El Limón, but we are officially coming here any time we want Mexican food in the future! Also - the place has a/c and a few tables inside so you can eat there if you want. I ordered a chicken burrito which was supposed to have chicken rice, lettuce, cheese, beans and more grated cheese on top. What I got was bland rice with a little bit of chicken in the burrito. There was a very small amount of sour cream squeezed on top. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla and beef tacos. Neither of which had the cheese that they said would come in the meal. Both were flavorless and in my opinion not even edible. When I tried to call the restaurant with my dissatisfaction, at least get a partial refund they told me to call DoorDash. Then DoorDash told me it is on the restaurant to provide the refund. So no refund and food in the trash. what a waste! read more

Amazing quesabirria... very flavorful & the elote corn on the cob was sooo good. Churros with dulche de leche get a 10/10 also.

Love love love this place. My favorite order is the steak tacos and a piece of tres leches. I can't wait for my next fix
