Three of us went out to dinner tonight and tried El Limon at the train station in Morton, and we left both pleased and very full. The tortilla soup was delicious and comforting. The tacos were hearty and well balanced, loaded with flavorful meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, no skimping anywhere. To finish things off, we shared warm churros with ice cream and whipped cream, which absolutely hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh, well prepared, and satisfying. This El Limon is located in a tiny shopping center and has parking available in the adjacent lot. The restaurant isn't fancy but was clean with friendly service. The place was packed at 5pm on a Saturday night. We had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce and shrimp tacos. Chips and salsa were not complimentary, but were worth it. The salsa was more like a pico and very fresh. The mole sauce was mildly sweet with spicy undertones. The food was fresh and arrived quickly. read more

And the people working there were friendly. And the place was clean. And the service was fast. And my tacos were on point. And the girlfriend really raved about her dish. I don't think I've ever had less seasoned Mexican food from anywhere else. Where was the flavor? Maybe it was just because every dish was cold, both sets of tacos and the enchiladas. Plus we had to wait 10 minutes to eat one plate of tacos after picking off all the onions (due to an allergy) even though we ordered the dish without. No one checked on us to see if our dishes came out fine until we were deep into playing with our food to get the onions off. I personally enjoyed my dine-in experience. The margaritas were on the house for my husband and I at our afternoon lunch date, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. We came on a relatively warm day and it was brightly lit and comfortable temperature wise. The quesadillas were simple in execution but tasty. Loved how the mozzarella cheese melted and I had 3 little heaps of tomatoes, sour cream, and lettuce. Hubby had the fish tacos with refried beans and rice. The latter he really liked, the fish tacos not as much. The real treat was the churros and ice cream though, which were amazingly decadent. Been going here for a few years. I don't mind paying a little extra for quality but they are getting a bit ridiculous. I have to pay extra for tomatoes and cheese on a taco. Tacos don't come with sauce. It's extra. They don't seem to read the special instructions portion of the order slips so my order was wrong twice! It's like 50 with Door Dash for tacos and a quesadilla with two Jarritos sodas. For something this expensive, it should be accurate. On top of all that the food isn't as flavoral anymore. We had a great experience here tonight. We've been meaning to come for a while and it didn't disappoint. They offered complimentary margaritas though it's also BYOB. We got the loaded nachos to start, which came with guacamole. Very good, especially if you like more onion heavy salsa. Then an assortment of tacos - the el pastor and chorizo were the best, with the chicken tinga a close second. We also got the chicken Quesadilla which was tasty. We finished with the churros. I walked into the restaurant with a few of my amigos who were all very hungry and eager to eat at el limon. We waited a few minutes while they set up a table for us. We sat down and were greeted by a grande hombre named joel. We ordered chips, guac, salsa and cheese and were only given our guac at first. After asking again we were given our salsa and cheese. We ordered our food and waited an HOUR for our food. Tables that were sat before us got there food before we had. Our food was mediocre at best and NOT worth the hour wait. read more

We learned about this place through NextDoor Wallingford, and we're glad we did. It's a friendly, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant that, nonetheless, serves delicious Mexican food. My husband had Steak Enchiladas which were very tasty and well presented. I had Tacos Dorado which were crispy and delightful. We topped it all off with churros with ice cream, which was beautiful and delicious. There's very good parking and, although it's near Media/Wawa train tracks, the trains are fun to watch. It's a chain, and was one of my go-to spots when I was living in Montgomery county. I was happy to see this location open up, as I would drive past it everyday on my commute to work! Finally gave it a try on Friday night for takeout and they are just as good as I remembered the other locations to be! We got steak and lengua burritos. They were chonky! Big, filling, and full of goodness. Perfect sauces and extra sauces on the side! Also got churros and ice cream for dessert and they were an extremely pleasant surprise! They're crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with cinnamon caramel or something! Absolutely lovely end to the meal. The service was also so good! The place was popping on a Friday night, but everything was so quick and the employees were so nice and attentive for take out! Thinking it'll be an authentic since this cake is obviously not a hard one to make, and you can't go wrong with his leches cake, boy, I was so wrong this cake was awful extremely dry, barely any sweet milk. It's basically a poundcake that you can buy anywhere in any grocery store. It made me so mad so disappointing nine dollars for a disgusting piece of dry cake don't waste your money don't buy this "Tres leches cake" From this restaurant. I took one bite and threw it away. Ordered over an hour ago on Thursday, June 23rd at 9:35 PM and this restaurant canceled over 1 hour later around 10:45 . They were still open when I ordered 30 minutes before closing, could have simply canceled the order then instead of making us wait over 1 hour. The WORST customer service I ever experienced and I've been a business owner in food service management over the past 30 years. We waited, the app showed 2-3 drivers were picking it up, but it NEVER CAME until it was canceled over an hour later. nice laid back place for a bite. but be aware that the salsa and chips doesn't come with what you traditionally think as salsa, it comes with pico de gallo, aka salsa fresca. overheard another table also confused by this. would be nice if they offered both. anyway, got the chicken tacos dorado, chicken torta and carnitas quesadilla. of the three the tacos were the best but only because I added the leftover pico de gallo into them which added a really nice flavor. got one of their complimentary margaritas...it's pretty watered down but it's free so not complaining. the tres leches cake and flan were good but what would have made them great was if they didn't come with chocolate syrup on top (wish I had known prior so i could of asked for it not to), especially the flan since it was a really overwhelming flavor when caramel is what should be coming through more. read more

I went to El Limon the first week it was open and the food was well seasoned and hot. Another week one of my coworkers went and had the pork tacos and the meat smelled sour. I just went there this Friday and got the chicken fajitas and 3 steak tacos and they were both horrible. The meat wasn't seasoned and the chicken was tough. The food was good, the servers were mostly friendly however, it was 90 degrees and no working air. It was disgusting. I was unable to do what I wanted which is walk out. We were there with a party of 10 and I couldn't just leave. The manager acted like it's no big deal. They legally shouldn't be open with no air in 90 degree heatwave, it's not fair to the customers and its cruel to their staff. This place was like this last year but we thought it was a fluke...nope...they just don't see the need for air OR open windows or fans. I will never go back unless it's a take out. read more
