Great food and one of the most fairly priced places in West Chester. Everything was delicious but somehow the chips stood out the most! I really liked their sauces/salsas too

These were some of the best tacos i've ever had in my LIFE. perfect amount of cheese, meat was very tender, and onions gave it that nice bite. The birra sauce was SO good and came out super hot. A MUST GO. the staff was so nice and helpful as well. 10000/10

First time at Taco Mar even though it's been recommended many times. Not disappointed! The staff greeted us and told us how their ordering worked. We found a table, ordered and paid for our lunch on the phone and the food was out in no time. We ordered chips, 3 salsas and queso, Birria tacos and enchiladas. Everything was hot and delicious. I could be wrong but the only thing I missed was the Birria tacos being dinked in the consomé and fried on the plancha. When I've had it before it was crispy, cheesy and fried. In any case, it was still delicious!

My wife and I drove here from Wilmington, Delaware because we were looking for quality tacos and the reviews gave us high hopes. This place did not disappoint as everything we tried was amazing. Highly recommend Taco Mar (especially the shrimp tacos with white and red sauce).

I got the California burrito. There were fries in it! Not my thing, but if it's your thing, get the Cali burrito lol. Salsa containers were super tiny, I couldn't dip the chips. Had to pour the salsa over the chips instead. Overall meh for $16.

This is hands down my favorite Mexico restaurant in Chester County! The food is good (my favorite are the nachos). The service is great and everyone I have met working there has been kind and friendly. If you are in West Chester you should definitely check them out!!

I was so eager to try this place because of the high Yelp reviews but this is one of the worst Mexican places I have ever been to. There are two major issues with the restaurant. First is the food and second is the pricing. In terms of food, we got the carne asada burrito, nacho supreme with carne asada, and the enchilada plate. Let's start with the carne asada burrito. Imagine a tortilla with a little bit of meat in it and then rolled up. It is about a quarter the size of a Chipotle burrito and about the width of two fingers thick (and I do not have large fingers). My children have gotten kid menu burritos and they have never even been as small as the (regular) burrito here. And the fillings in it are next to nothing - I'm pretty sure I had more tortilla than filling! The steak was very dry. And to top it off, this burrito was about $15. I don't know if the chef just hated us for some reason but every other person's burrito in the restaurant looked big. Only our burrito was a pathetic disappointment. The nachos were ok. Mostly chips with some cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and a sparse sprinkling of dry carne asada. The enchiladas were the best of the three dishes we got. We got the red and green sauce with chicken filling. There was more meat in the enchilada than the burrito (but this is not a lot) and it came with a side of rice and beans. In terms of pricing, the restaurant clearly marked that prices will include a 10% markup. I understood this. What was not clear is that they have raised prices that is at least $2-$4 more than the listed menu price AND there is a 10% surcharge. So each dish comes out to at least $15, which is a lot given the quality and quantity of food. I don't know if the restaurant was having a horribly off day but we came on a Thursday evening. It was not crazy busy (two other small tables when we arrived) and there was plenty of staff (there was more staff than customers). The restaurant totally missed the mark in my book and I would not recommend coming here. The restaurant is located in downtown Westchester with lots and lots of great other dining options. Try anything else instead!

Never a bad experience here. Smoothies, burritos, street and regular tacos, I've tried them all, everything is always fresh and tasty! If you look at the pic I've attached here you'll get a really good look at the slow roasted pulled pork bowl. LOOK AT ALL OF THOSE COLORS!

Good burrito but about the size of my hand for 14$. Not worth price at all. Go down the street to La rancherita for a way bigger better one

Food was great. Took a little while for it to come out, I got a burrito, it was very good, but took a bit longer then the nachos.

Crap. Poor quality food. Over cooked cheap beef minimal toppings, stale hard shell. Never again. Never ever.

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
