We stopped here for an early mid-week dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Food here was for the most part very good and in larger than expected proportions. We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
Went for a friend's birthday dinner! Has good happy hour deals. Caesar salad was perfectly dressed. Crab dip was great. Wish we had some black pepper for the Mac and cheese! Service was good, especially for a busy night. Restaurant was clean and well kept.
Because yelpers had this place highly rated as opposed to the plethora or bar & grills around. Definitely a more bright and nicer appearance inside to dine as opposed to the many restaurant/pubs we passed. We just wanted lunch, wasn't having drinks. Very happy with our choice! Outstanding lunch specials! 2 for $17 get an entree & side. I had blackened salmon sandwich with salad, others i was with had seared tuna tacos with tomato bisque and brisket dip sandwich also with tomato bisque. They both raved about the soup. I didn't get soup because it's hot out but they went on & on about how thick, creamy & flavorful it was. My salmon sandwich was very tasty & filling. They loved their entrees as well. If our kid winds up going to college here, definitely will be back.
We came here on a Friday night. We got the bao buns app and they were so tasty. I got the butternut squash gnocchi which was delicious- couldn't get enough of that creamy sauce. Fish n chips, apple salad and steak as well were all good choices. They had live music which was fun. Service was just ok, but in their defense it was really busy. I would definitely return!
Walked in for lunch on a Tuesday at noon to a completely empty restaurant. Very nice inside with tons of seating including about 30-40 at the bar where my work buddy and I were promptly seated. Great service from then bartender to get our drinks and take our orders. About a 15 min wait for the food. My burger looked good and even though the patties were over cooked still tasted great. My buddy enjoyed his chicken cheesesteak but said the hoagie spread was a little overloaded. Good but not great meal... I'd go back and try a couple other items on the menu. 26.75 for the lunch special, a soda, and tip.
Ugh my goodness if I could give this place a 0 star I would. I made reservations for Father's Day and was told no regular table seating was available even though my reservation time was 30 minutes after their opening time. The place was practically dead which was red flag #1 and they still told my party we have to sit at a high top table even though I'm visibly pregnant. Then the food was subpar, it felt like they just reheated frozen food. The cheese on the jalapeno cheesesteak egg rolls was not even melted properly and was lukewarm on the inside. The burger was not good, the steak was too chewy, and the kids buttered noodles had zero seasoning. For Father's Day you would think this establishment would try harder than serve re heated, underwhelming food.
This awesome corner spot is perfect for happy hour or a dinner with friends. This was our first time here and we came based off of other Yelp reviews which raved about the unique cocktails and the delicious food and it did not disappoint. This spot gives off upscale bar/restaurant vibes but at a fair price. They have an expansive bar menu featuring cocktails, mocktails, wine, a lengthy beer draft list as well as canned beers, seltzers, and more, which my friend group and I always appreciate. All in all, a really great experience in downtown West Chester and we'd love to come back and try some of the other food options next time!
Favorite spot in West Chester always great service and cozy spot that always taste good no matter what you get HIGHLY recommend the pork bao buns and salmon blt. Switched it up this time and got the tuna tacos with brussel sprouts the tuna tacos were just okay but the brussel sprouts had a nice sweetness and crunch
Love this spot! They have one of my favorite Bloody Mary's around town- it comes with a deviled egg! I also love their nachos. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner. They have ample seating, both indoors and outdoors, and a large menu with great food and cocktails. The service is always good! I went to a really cool and hilarious Rod Stewart impersonator show in town and had a blast sitting outside at Stove and Tap and enjoying cocktails and music with my mom and her gal pals
Made reservations for thursday night for 5 people. Were sat within a few minutes after they cleared off a table for us. The place itself is very cute, a lot nicer ambiance than the previous landmark. Service was good. But kitchen and bar were backed up which made our drink and food wait a little bit longer than expected but our waitress informed us of this right when we sat down which was nice. I had ordered the Apple cider margarita, which was okay. Didn't have much apple cider taste to be honest and tasted slightly watered down. To eat we ordered the agnolotti and the burger. My husband said burger was just okay, pretty standard burger. My agnolotti came with added, what I believe to be spaghetti squash. Which was a bit disappointing as i would have rather more agnolotti. Both the agnolotti and spaghetti squash both tasted a bit undercooked and hard, but the flavoring was good. Overall, I'd come back if in the area but maybe for the happy hour at the bar/hightops as the food was a bit high priced for the quality in my opinion

Love this place. I've been here a handful of times now and it's always great. Came here for drinks and apps tonight and was lovely. They happened to have live music tonight so we chose a spot on the sidewalk. Music wasn't too loud and sounded great. Husband and I both got the jalapeño margarita. It was nice, but a little sweet. I prefer a scratch margarita with no sweetener. We weren't super hungry so we split the nachos and a crispy chicken Cobb salad. 10/10 on both orders! The chicken in the Cobb salad was so good. I could eat a whole plate full. The nachos are huge, we didn't even finish half. Service is great, outside vibe is great, food is great. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious food!!! The nacho appetizer might have been the best nachos i've had in such a long time. They were spicy and sweet and just amazing. Then the brisket flatbread went way past my expectations and was also delicious. To top it all off, the brookie was delectable. I was so surprised that there was no wait given how great our food was. The food came out fast too. The restaurant itself was clean and decorated well. We got so much food and it was not expensive at all.
Updating again because I finally tried something other than the delicious, perfect Brussels and the Cobb salad is now one of my favorite salads in west chester. The service was great as usual. This spot is so underrated! read more
Enjoyable food with nice ambiance and great service. It was cute for a date night. The appetizers were really tasty... truthfully the bao buns are to die for! The food was served quickly and was super tasty. Really enjoyable meal. Lovely clean restrooms! My only complaint was the hard cider served there was really more a beer than a traditional hard cider. read more
Went on a weekend with friends (party of 5) for brunch and overall everyone liked the experience. 1. ATMOSPHERE (5/5) - This is a no-brainer. Spacious, mid-century barn chic, with tons of light, this is a great place to meet up with friends over drinks and eats! 2. FOOD (3/5) - Unfortunately, food is just... OK. Deviled eggs were decent, and Bao Buns stole the show, but Sausage sandwich was pretty dry and bad and Blackened salmon salad was just "alright." My friend enjoyed his All American Burger and I thought the Brisket Dip was slightly disappointing with lack of depth in the au jus. 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Server was at times difficult to hail, but when we did not like the Sausage sandwich, she did offer to exchange it into something else which was very nice of her. With place this big and busy on a weekend, some drop-off in service level is to be expected so it's not too bad. Will I return? Maybe if I am looking for a nice spot to eat with friends... but at this charming town of West Chester, those are dime a dozen! I will most likely try different places for better food. read more

Different Cheesesteakesque #1125. Special Monday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. It's hard to find Cheesesteaks and Alcohol on a Monday. Sorry no sign selfies. We weren't sure if we were at the right place or if they were open. The selfie is from around the corner. We got the Brisket Dip (and 2 old fashions). This was a darn good sandwich. Very good smoked BarBQue flavor. I like sandwiches you can dip. Roll held up nicely. 2 different cheeses. One melted more than the other on purpose. We liked Stove & Tap. Monday early in December is an interesting time to be out. read more

I have been thinking of this place nonstop since I dined there this past weekend! I had truly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It was a double patty with tender meat that just melted in your mouth. The sauce reminded me of the Big Mac or In-N-Out sauce; it went perfectly with this delicious, juicy burger. I also love that the burger comes with pickled onions. They give you so many fries too which are crispy and thin. We also got the pork belly bao buns which the meat was equally as tender and flavorful, seasoned in delicious hoisin sauce. The menu overall is pretty small but still so hard to choose because the options sound so great! We came late September when the weather starts to cool down so nicely at night, and we enjoyed dinner on the sidewalk. It was nice to soak in the downtown West Chester atmosphere. Btw, dogs are allowed for outdoor dining! I would definitely recommend coming here for a great meal in town. read more

I absolutely love Stove & Tap for lunch .. for dinner ... for take away. Came here for lunch this time and love the straws that are marine biodegradable and compostable. Finally a straw that doesn't melt to mush in your cold drink. The food was delicious. Went with the Korean bbq wings, mushroom soup, grilled shrimp salad and tuna tacos. The shrimp salad dressing is to die for. So good and even better as left overs l! I should have gotten a bowl of the mushroom soup, I slurpt it up so fast. Tuna tacos were delicious and I opted for the flour tortilla version and sauce was Yumm. Also had the wings as leftovers and just as good as when they served it hot to my face. Love this place and can't wait to come again for dinner or lunch! The speakeasy under this restaurant is so freaking awesome. Love the games and the drinks! read more

Amazing happy hour prices! $4 house wines, $6 margaritas and $3 draft beers. We had very good service, there's a nice outdoor seating area and the food was excellent. Worth a visit, varied menu as well with lots of different options. read more

Came in for a Friday lunch with coworkers and had a pretty good experience!! We didn't know what we wanted for lunch so we parked in downtown West Chester and walked around, ended up here. We were a little ahead of the lunch rush and it was pretty empty when we arrived. We were sat right away at a table near the window. My boss had a cider. I had a margarita and our coworker had tea. For lunch, I ordered garlic white wine mussels, my coworker a burger and our boss I think ordered the brisket dip. My mussels came out with a red sauce, and the other mussel option was a red sauce, so I thought maybe that's what I received? But I asked the server and she said it was the garlic white wine. So I went with it!! They were delicious either way. I don't remember what my boss thought of her meal but I know my coworker LOVED her burger!! My boss loved her cider. And my margarita had me feeling great, we'll likely return. read more
I went with a group of 4 on a Wednesday night. We just wanted to sit at the bar and grab some drinks. I ordered the bangin lemonade plain and the pomegranate one. Both are great but I recommend the pomegranate one! The staff was friendly, the bartender Tyler was cool, and the atmosphere was great. Atmosphere of the place is very nice, the warm lighting creates a good vibe, and plates and silverware wrapped with fresh napkins give it a very formal welcoming feel. Interior design is very nice and especially during the evenings still feels like a fun bar but has an aesthetic of a well-managed restaurant. Food took a little longer than expected to get processed. I came in on weekday afternoon, so very little table traffic but still took around 20 minutes for the appetizers. Brisket Mac and Cheese was very nicely plated, and was served hot. Could have use more Salt and Pepper in the pasta and sauce to round out the flavors more. The Brisket was well seasoned but got lulled out by the bland sauce. Texture overall was very nice, sauce wasn't broken and any grease just absorbed right into flavors of the dish. Chives were nice to look at but didn't contribute to anything. Still a member of the clean plate club. Entrees took around 15 minutes but left a good impresoFish and Chips could have been cooked in hotter oil, the beer batter was crispy on ends but left texture to be desired in the middle. Fries were very nicely done, perfect texture, could use some extra salt but blows most restaurants out of the water. Tartar sauce was really delicious, homemade and dill added nice complexity to it. My friend ordered the Slow Roast Pork Italian, he said the au jus saved the dryness of the sandwich but overall good flavor. He also asked for Sweet Potato Fries, which were entirely ignored but sufficed. Overall, service left some to be desired but food was amazing, the rest of the menu is worth coming to taste and I will definitely be back. read more
The two of us went on a Friday afternoon around 6 PM. We ordered a medley of appetizers: fried cheese curds, deviled eggs, and buffalo shrimp. All 3 dishes were great. My favorite option was the cheese curds. They were bite sized balls of cheese fried in oil with a crisp outside, with soft, chewy yellow cheese melting inside. Both salty and savory! Overall, Stove and Tap is good food at a fair price. I can't wait to go back! read more

As to be expected at Stove and Tap. The Gay Street mule was sweeter than it should have been but alright. The spicy peanut seitan wrap was awesome- I was super impressed. Their shoe string fries are also on point (just a little too salty). The broccoli margarita with pesto was mostly marinara with dollops of pesto. Too much crust but overall good consistency. read more
