I've been to The CR now at least 7 times over the last several years. It's a good place to meet friends or co-workers for a cold beer. I don't go specifically for the food, yet it's pretty good bar food for the most part. But, this is the second time in two visits that the same server gave us one beer menu and one food menu. It's a flippin' double sided copy, come on. Then when our table was four people, we still had to share. Why not approach a table of two with two menus? Lastly everyone's fries were overdone and seemed to be made with not-so-fresh oil. I will return, these visits were not spoilers for me. read more

We were over in the area so we stopped in here to grab some food. This is been an r bookmarks for quite some time and we decided to go ahead and give it a try. The parking lot is a little bit on the smaller side so be aware that when it gets busy here you might have to find parking and walk. Once inside we were told that you could sit wherever you wanted and we picked a low top table since we had the baby with us and eat at the high chair. The menu is easy to go over us just a front and back page. They have the typical bar food offerings including flat breads, burgers, wings, etc. I decided to go for the fish and chips and the husband had some chicken tenders. they had really good music playing the entire time that we were there, although it might be a little loud for some people. The fish and chips were excellent I really enjoy them. I would probably get that again if we returned. I really also enjoy the atmosphere and our server was extremely friendly. It seems like everyone there was having a good time. Overall: A A great little local bar that will definitely be back to when we're in the area. read more

Love this spot for simple drinks and great bar food! It's relatively quiet (unless it's Karaoke Night). Everything is good, especially the pizza and massive Monte Cristo sandwich. Servers are friendly and straightforward. read more

I'm not gonna lie...I don't love the new look of The Copper Rocket. I definitely preferred the original look and feel of it when it was a grungy dive. The Copper Rocket feels like an upscale sports bar. There's grayish wood flooring, walls, and tables that all match. There's large TVs hanging up on along every wall in the place. They kept the small stage in the corner, where they have live music as well as karaoke on Fridays I believe. If you check in on Yelp, you can get 50% off your first draft beer. They have a good selection of beers on tap, as well as beers in bottles and cans. As of right now they don't serve liquor, so beer and wine are your only choices. However, it seems like they plan to serve liquor in the future. They do serve food here, however I didn't have any while I was there so I can't comment on the quality. The bar was not very crowded when we were there, and service was not great. We sat at a high top near the bar and saw our waiter only when we were ordering, got our drinks, and needed the check. I do like that the place looks clean, that they have a lot of craft beers to choose from, and there's tons of TVs if you want a place to grab a beer and watch a game. read more

We came wanting a snack and drinks. We ordered the grilled chicken wings. Our friends ordered the nachos. Nachos were excellent. The chicken wings tasted good, but they weren't very appetizing to look at. They came With three celery sticks and three carrot sticks. I imagine their fried wings are the way to go based on other reviews. We ordered a Cabernet for three of us. The server suggested we buy the bottle at a certain price. We agreed and then we noticed on the menu the server had told us the bottle was $10 cheaper than the menu said. When we pointed this out, he said, "Yeah, that's my bad." But didn't offer us that price anyway. So we just bought by the glass. Our other friend ordered a beer to which I was able to apply our Yelp Offer for 50% off a draft beer. Nice! The server was friendly though, service was quick and food was hot. We sat outside under the market lights which was nice. Plenty of parking and lots of TV's for watching games. I have been going to the Copper Rocket for some time now. Our friends and I enjoy trivia with Symon Tyme. But WOW have the food and beverage gone downhill while the prices have SKYROCKETED! Come on guys, you're a dive bar! Stop with the $12 Kendall Jackson as your top tier wine and $24 Monte Cristo sandwiches. The wait staff does continue to be attentive and very pleasant, thankfully. But we're at the point where we have stopped eating there and will probably drink a Coke because the wine is so bad it gives us headaches. It's time for them to get their pricing more in line with the reality of the product or our twice a week table of 6-8 people will be moving on. read more

So definitely a funny story we how me and a few friends found this place. We had just finished attending a wedding ceremony and needed a place to get drinks before the reception. We had a few hours gap and needed a place quick to quench our thirst for alcohol. And we ended up in this place. We went on a Friday in the afternoon so it was completely empty. I want to downgrade this place because it's only beer and wine, but we had the best time! Stumbled in on a Friday night and there was karaoke! No one was singing so we started making our requests. Ended up singing three songs in an hour. The guests didn't seem to care- they liked us! So we kept signing. The bartender was super helpful. He honored the yelp coupon with check-in. He also let us taste some of the beer before we decided to purchase. Check this place out. It's super fun. Parking is in the lot. We had eaten but the food menu looks delicious. The food has gone downhill fast. What used to be reliable and consistent has been totally unpredictable the last few times. The fish and chips we most recently ordered had a huge amount of salt in the batter or something, we couldn't even eat it. I normally love salty food - this was just gross! There were other really weird problems like what I believe were super old bits of dough that got baked into my pizza and became hard as bone. Thought I was going to crack a tooth. My intent is to WRITE THE WORST REVIEW that I am capable of writing. The staff at this place displayed the most inhumane, egregious, and down right cruel behavior to my father - that it amounts to ABUSE, assault, and quite frankly we are considering legal action. If you saw/taped an elderly man fall and the physical assault that followed, please let me know. DETAILS: I am writing this review on behalf of my father - a senior citizen. My parents went to Copper Rocket for lunch 2 Saturdays ago around 11am in August 2023. My father recently had eye surgery. When he entered Copper Rocket from the bright daylight to the very dark restaurant, he couldn't see the stage, and he had a terrible fall and hit his head on a table. Instead of helping him (Or even doing nothing), the managing staff quickly came over and YELLED at him to leave. He SCREAMED and refused service to my frail aging parents. The manager was clearly drunk at this early hour, yet had the audacity to accuse my aging and sober father of drinking - when he clearly had a fall because of the poorly lit entry way. The man should have helped him and offered to call an ambulance. Instead - he physically threw him out of the Copper Rocket!! He injured -my father, who is clearly a senior citizen, and the kindest man you will ever meet. My father was so dazed by the head injury, that he only later realized he should have called the police to file for assault. It made me so sad to hear this story. What has this world come to? Why can't we help an old man up after he has fallen? I do believe in forgiveness, but my family will NEVER return to this business. read more

The Bartender was super friendly and he was very nice, but I ordered the candied Mango Habanero and they tenders came out dry and we're just 100% hot, no sweet and spicy taste, no mango taste, and they were not candied at all. :/ They were having comedy open mic, but a few of the jokes were really distasteful. We came here Friday night for trivia (started at 7pm). It was so much fun! It was crowded so I would recommend getting there early if you want to play. The drinks were well priced and good. If you've never had a Monti Cristo, I would not suggest this as your first, because you will be disappointed in every other one you get. This MC reminded me of a county fair wrapped in a four star deli. OMG. I was so pleased with this find. The staff was super nice. Frankly, I'm lost north of town, so I'm not sure if we're off the beaten path. I'm leaving with enough fried goodness for three more days. So my wife stopped by for a quick lunch and to try the place for the first time. We got their hamburger and buffalo chicken sandwich, both came with fries. First the fries were really good with the right balance of crispy outside and soft on the inside. The burger was nice and juicy and he buffalo chicken was crispy and juicy. For me and my wife beer has to be cold and they really keep their beer cold. They have a large selection of IPA and we plan on going back and trying some of them. If you're looking to meet the two most under qualified and dumb restaurant employees in the industry, this is the place for you! The nasty curly headed bar tender and the manager with the patchy grey goatee are proof that you don't need to know a ~thing~ about your field to be employed in this state! I was traveling from out of state and wanted to have a drink with some friends. When asked to present my ID, I quickly presented it and was immediately accused of having a fake ID, refused service and made to feel like an issue. The manager and bartender laughed at me and told me to "try again" as if I needed a better "fake" Then they threatened to confiscate MY LEGAL IDENTIFICATION. They were loud, drew attention to the situation and as a 28 year old, I was honestly flabbergasted. But I was not wrong so I insisted the manager and the bartender go look up my home states ID. I was determined to not let poor service ruin my night with my friends... i let my friends know what was happening and wasn't shocked to hear that the bar tender was known to speak down to people and be unkind. My friend who goes there every week said she's constantly rude and clearly in the wrong field. As my friends and I were deciding to go some where with better service and after About 20 minutes, the bartender simply walked up and just asked for my drink order. No apology, no kindness, no acknowledgment of her wrong doings, just blatant ignoring of her loud ignorance. The patchy goatee manager later delivered the food we ordered and also didn't apologize for loudly chastising me for simply trying to patronize his business. 11/10 will not be back. I will say it's inspiring to know even if I have no brain cells, I can still be employed here! read more
