Lamb burger on a lettuce bun
    Alessandra C.

3 stars for average American food, ambiance and service. Being located in a relatively prime location, near restaurants like Seito and The Osprey, I was expecting a little bit more sophistication from this restaurant. I've been there twice: first time I had the lamb burger, which was a bit dry and with fries that were very crispy; the second time, the Norris tacos, which were also just okay.

We visited blue jackets on a Friday night after an escape room for dinner. I think this place has a great location, but their menu was extremely boring. We started with an order of loaded fries which were really good, definitely enough for 4 people. The cheese pull was really impressive. For mains, I got the western burger. It was just kind of okay. I feel like burgers are a pretty easy thing to make good, but it was overcooked (I ordered medium rare and it was medium well) and the bacon was really sad. I did sub out the fries for street corn, and the street corn did not disappoint. The drink menu here was a little lackluster as well. I was also surprised that they didn't have a beer list. When I asked for one, our server listed what was on tap and said "and we also have some bottles and cans" which I would've wanted to see a list for. I was pretty thoroughly unimpressed by this place I think mainly because the food wasn't anything special. When I hear gastropub, I'm imagining something creative or at least high quality and this place was . . . Fine. I wouldn't go back there.

Blue jacket is a great little place, we sat on the patio so we could hang out with the pup. And the service was really good, I had brought my own water for the dog, but our server asked if you could bring some. I said we were good but a little while later he even brought out a dog bowl with iced water so that was super nice! We came after work. Some of us had just a couple drinks and some of us actually got dinner. The selection was great on both fronts. I had the western burger, and it was massive! It was pretty good too, not the best burger I've ever had, but it was pretty good!

First time dining here and had a wonderful experience! I was surprised by how great our meal was! I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. The portion was large. The fries were delicious! Our waitress was super friendly and offered sodas to go. Definitely recommend!

Blue Jackets is a pleasant experience set in the scenic neighborhood of Baldwin Park. I've dined for brunch and find it on par with its price point. It's not the most elaborate array of offerings that you'd find downtown or on park avenue but it works! During my last visit, my entire table tried the short rib omelette and had some rounds of mimosas. I like that several different juice options are available for the mimosas. I prefer pineapple to OJ and was happy it was an option. As for the omelettes? Nothing exceptional but still pleasant. I will say that I really enjoy their breakfast potatoes though. They are so well seasoned and always crispy. Blue jackets offer friendly and attentive service and the setting is lovely! It's pretty easy to get in for brunch but I've seen weekend happy hour pretty packed so plan accordingly.

My team and I had lunch here before we went to our afternoon activity. It was pretty quiet for the lunch hour but it was perfect for us because we were able to enjoy conversation without yelling. Our server was a bit in the weeds but still very attentive to the table and answered all questions we had including a dietary restriction. I ordered the California Chicken sandwich which had some spice in the chicken already but the added pepper jack cheese was a great combo! I upgraded my side to Parmesan truffle fries which was so good! I would definitely go back if I was looking for lunch in the area!

Creamsicle cocktail $9 -- deliciously refreshing (Stoli Ohranj, Stoli vanilla, OJ, 7up). Allison is a great bartender -- fast, efficient, and friendly. Happy new year!!

Blue Jackets Gastropub provides an array of options while not having an extensive menu. Dining experience for Saturday afternoon around 2 PM. Located in downtown area. This location is definitely had plenty of seating options. We chose the bar and greeted comply. My husband had died here before and his raving about their chicken wings. He ordered the garlic Parm and quickly realized that he must have ordered the buffalo. The first time is here as the garlic Parm sauce was just a little too oily for his liking. He ate all of the wings though , but definitely like the buffalo. I wanted something that was a little late and chose the chicken wrap. The chicken wrap does come in either Caesar and or buffalo. I chose the Caesar. The wrap is a decent size and it does come with fries. I did request some additional Caesar sauce.(an additional .50 charge) As I could barely taste any of the dressing on the wrap as it was. This location is definitely a neighborhood hang out as the few groups that were in there you could tell lived in the area. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Incredible lamb burger. Cannot say enough amazing things about that out of this world Goat Cheese aioli. We added arugula. Bartender was attentive and the atmosphere was super cute!

Good local bar food is mid to me but the locals love it. I order the chicken tenders and it had no seasoning whatsoever the drinks were good and customer service was on point truly felt like a little family in there the way everyone knows everyone. Very inclusive area. This location has a pretty good happy hour apparently the one dish everyone was ordering were the lamb burgers which were on the happy hour menu I'll have to give them a try next time as they were legit flying out the kitchen. Happy hour is 4-7pm M-F .

This spot has been through a few different iterations and menu changes in the past few years, and I think they've finally hit the mark! The newer branding is nice and the menu has a nice variety and price point, especially for Baldwin Park. Makes it easy to pop in for a quick meal! I enjoyed a glass of happy hour wine and the Buffalo chicken wrap - the happy hour specials are great and they had some apps as well! The wrap itself was a good portion and felt like a healthier option. Fries were cooked well and the service was quick! I love sitting in their outdoor tables and enjoying the ambiance of BP. I'll be back for sure!

We made a reservation for a party of 7 for an early dinner around happy hour time and were seated inside. They graciously closed the curtains for us so we weren't blinded by the sunset :) Drinks took a minute but there were 7 of us at HH and I can't blame them - it wasn't too bad of a wait. We ordered a few small plates and DEVOURED them -- the stuffed mushrooms were the #1 hit. Margherita flatbread was super tasty (balsamic, yum) and the wings came out hot and crispy like we wanted. My only qualm was I ordered my salad with the dressing on the side and we had a miscommunication so it came with the dressing on it (a LOT). Otherwise, everyone's dishes came out perfectly fine and I heard zero complaints from the table. Reasonably priced - especially with the HH goodies we ordered - and tasty. There's a nice patio outside as well as plenty of tables plus bar seating indoors. It's a decent sized space for Baldwin Park and I'd recommend popping in for a drink, a meal, or both.

It was a beautiful day to be outside so we ventured out to Baldwin Park for the afternoon. Blue Jackets Gastropub is located right on main street in Baldwin Park (great for people watching), once we checked out the menu, we knew we wanted to eat here. We were seated outside and greeted by our server Ally. She was very friendly and checked on us often. I ordered their grilled cheese and tomato basil soup while my husband ordered the cajun chicken alfredo. My grilled cheese had pesto and prosciutto on thick sour dough!!! It was such a good grilled cheese paired with homemade tomato soup with fresh basil. Husband's cajun chicken alfredo was really creamy with the right amount of spice and lots of fresh chicken! Would definitely eat here again!

It is located in the Mills 50 district next to Tori Tori (another local FAV). It is truly a nice little getaway spot from the usual hustle and bustle of the Mills 50 bar scene. They have seating indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor patio area is charming and adorned with umbrellas, and the fountain just adds a special touch, as well as masks the typical street sounds of passing cars and passersby. In the cooler months, the patio is just a vibe! The interior is just as charming with "French-inspired" influences, lovely lighting & decor that ties in the European escape this wine bar beautifully embodies. On my first visit, we tried to sit outdoors, but the Florida heat (& bees) had other plans for us. So, we transitioned inside and sat at their bar area. We were immediately greeted by the kindest servers who guided us on their menu selections. My friend and I, with similar wine tastes (we both love our wines DRY like DESERT), both opted for a glass of rosé and YUM! We followed it up with a white selection recommended by our server, and we enjoyed it immensely. Truly ten, ten, tens across the board! We did not eat (which, in all honesty, is okay with me). And based on reviews from various other Yelpers, the consensus SEEMS to be to eat prior to coming to Lorelei. So, I kept that in mind and on my second visit to Lorelei, I decided to just try MORE of their wine selection. On my most recent visit, we did try some light bites. Typically, on all my visits, I usually cap around two glasses of wine, and it's reasonable. They are not the cheapest spot, especially if you add food to your tab, but for the quality, it is worth it (to me as it relates to the wine selection), as I haven't really had a terrible glass of wine there. Maybe on my next visit, I'll try more of their food menu. Beyond that, Lorelei has been a great addition to the Mills 50 District! I am looking forward to how they will grow with the community!

While speaking to staff I was informed of the full food menu that is available after 5 pm. I just had to see how they did with Cacio e pepe and wow I was surprised. This is a basic dish but it was executed perfectly. I certainly will be back again soon to order that again. I would take someone else who would enjoy but while they like Pasta they don't do wine. However, it was pretty small for 13 dollars (even though the menu looked to be 12 dollars instead). For the party, we had a charcuterie board with various crackers, cheeses, and meats. I didn't buy any other food or drinks over there, but I did notice that the prices were quite expensive for the portions. One of the guest mentioned that her glass of club soda was 8 dollars! That's quite expensive, even in the Winter Park area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to give my friend a great birthday. The atmosphere looks like an upscale executive lounge with chillaxin music and artsy paintings that looks like you can buy. I though wonder why the eyes were red out in almost all of the paintings. I enjoyed the food and drinks at this lounge, but found the prices to be pretty high for the portions. It's located next to Jala, a new Indian restaurant that opened.
