Such a nice little hidden gem in Baldwin with a great selection of wines! There are a few tables outside where a group of friends and I shared a bottle, and we loved the cozy quaint vibe that felt like we were at someone's house. Definitely will be back for a mellow wine night.

This is one of my favorite hidden gems in town, nestled in a residential/ commercial area of Baldwin Park... so quaint and beautifully lined street of small businesses & townhomes :) I became a fan when a friend introduced me to Golden Hour and Heather, and I'm so glad they did! Heather is such a gracious, kind wine enthusiast and host. She's knowledgeable, passionate, and knows her pairings. Let her know what you like, and she'll recommend the perfect wine for your palate. The decor is spot on, modern and clean with great ambiance. Great place to sip on wine with friends or grab some to go to pair with dinner or gifts for friends & family. They often have fun events or you can even rent the space out for small parties. If you haven't check this place out, do it soon. ! I love supporting local businesses especially when they offer such amazing wines and goodies, and Heather is a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. You won't be disappointed!

It's hard not to love a place where you are completely surrounded by wine. After seeing my bestie Andi P post about this spot on the regular, I made it a must try upon my recent visit to Orlando. When I walked in, it gave me vibes of my favorite Miami wine shoppes. So it was no surprise to me when I found out they sell wines to some of my fave spots in Miami, which made Golden Hour Wine feel like home. We hung out there for hours, trying bubbles and a delish Chablis that I kept revisiting. Brenda was working at the Shoppe and was great at explaining the wines and offering recs. There are wines here at every price point, from the everyday varieties under $20 to more expensive bottles to uncork. While there is no food menu, they do have a few snacks to munch on. I suggest the truffle chips. I found myself eating almost the entire bag that was certainly not a single portion. If you're visiting, definitely make a stop at Golden Hour wine to have a glass (or two), or pick up wine for your stay in Orlando. If you're a local, ask about their wine club which gives you 3 different wines each month plus discounts in the store. This spot is also dog friendly with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely be back!

What a lovely, lovely wine bar. I stopped by with my mom and stepdad last month when were in Orlando for a long weekend. It's a natural wine shop that also has certain bottles open for wine by the glass. (You can also drink any bottle you buy from the shop.) We tried several of the wine by glass; all of them were interesting and delicious and special. It's small, but there's some outside seating as well as a little inside seating. But what made our visit even more special was the service! The owners were there and they are so lovely. They get to know their customers in a way that felt really personal and wonderful. I can't say enough nice things. Great wine, great service. A great place to drink some natural wine.

Looking for a place to "wine" down from your day? Wanna try a new seasonal drink but don't know where to start? Come to Golden Hour Wine! This woman owned wine house will surely pique your interest. The first thing you'll notice are the beautiful plants and seating area outside. You can take you glass to the front porch and relax as the day passes you by in the shade. The green walls give the place a chill vibe as upbeat jazz music fills the room. The center light fixture is such a wow factor The beautiful rope light added a chic feel that is just my style. There's plenty of seating inside as well if you want to knock a few things off your task list or catch up with a friend. My favorite wine is Riesling so I tried one that was the perfect blend of dry and sweet. My friend decided to be adventurous with an orange wine and she loved it! Take some time to expand your palette at Golden Hour, there's plenty to keep you i

I can't believe it's taken me this long as a natural wine lover to visit Golden Hour Wine. I'd give it the title that it IS the best spot in town for the selection and overall price point for the natural wines that are being served. I was very impressed with what Heather has on the shelves to offer and how adorable the ambience was inside. It is a comfy, and welcoming place, you feel like you're having wine inside someone's home (the pictures don't do Justice to the vibe actually curated.) In addition, there is a porch to sit outdoors. I had a chance to chat with Heather for a little bit...she owns and operates the business...so, yes, it's women's owned and she is also from New York; which I like to think adds to why this place is ahead of it's time (for Orlando). Trust me when I say you can not go many places and enjoy a glass of natural wine from a foreign part of the world...for $7-10 a glass. Cheers!

Golden Hour Wine is such an incredible gift to this city, and I'm so thankful that they decided to plant their roots right here in Orlando. If you're a wine lover, this little natural wine shop nestled in the Baldwin Park neighborhood is going to be your new happy place! From the impeccable interior design and that perfect shade of green to the gorgeous shelves lined with wines from all over the world, along with some of the friendliest faces you will ever meet, Golden Hour has something for everyone (and every price point). Prepare to be mind-blown by the knowledge and storytelling from Heather & Cory that will have you completely mesmerized, losing all sense of time. I have discovered some of my favorite wines because of them, and learning the stories behind the wine and the winemakers just makes them taste that much better. I also love that they allow you to sample some wines while you're browsing the shelves. I have bought several bottles because of sampling something in the shop that I enjoyed. Headed to a dinner party and need a suggestion on what kind of wine to bring? Just tell Heather what you're having, and she'll be able to recommend the perfect bottle to pair with the food. I'd also like to thank them for my most recent obsession: champagne paired with French fries. Something about the juxtaposition, that bubbly/salty combo... it just can't be beat. I am so happy to see them partnering up with some other incredible local businesses like Hungry Pants, Papa Llama, The Heavy, and more. They have also started hosting "Golden After Hours" events, which are ticketed evening wine tastings in their shop. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the next one! Thank you, Heather, for bringing this amazing shop to Orlando -- it's everything we needed and more!

When I say I love Orlando I really mean I love Golden Hour. The best wine selection, the friendliest service, and a welcoming environment. Golden Hour has become a second home for me where I have made my closest friends. Whether you're visiting Orlando for the theme parks or you're local, this should be at the top of your list of places to visit.

I can't stress enough how much I love this spot. The best way I can describe my experience is to imagine going to a bespoke suit store and being a little overwhelmed with all of the options at first, but once you get to speak with the tailor, they instantly put you at ease and help you find the right suit that meets all of your needs. I instantly had good vibes with the owners (Heather and Corey) and admitted that I didn't know much about wine (actually a newb) but that I was looking for a going-away gift for some friends of mine. I told them a little bit about my adventurous friends who were vegetarians, living the RV life, and who are doing a cross-country trip to their new home in Montana. I also mentioned that they liked rieslings but nothing too sweet. With that little bit of information, they were equipped with enough data to narrow my options down to 3 bottles at varying price points. Heather told me some great stories about each of the bottles and how they would resonate with my friends. I LOVED hearing that they visited each of the locations that these bottles were sourced from and that they actually sat down with each of the farmers and had dinner while trying the wine. Personally, I loved the idea that they got to build a relationship with their wine sources and that each of the bottles was thoughtfully considered before being sold in their shop. After selecting a bottle for my friends, which PERFECTLY lined up with their preferences and story, my wife and I picked out a bottle for ourselves to share and my wife got one just for herself LOL I think that the owners did a fantastic job creating an inviting space for people to learn more about wine and to try brands from unique locations around the world. More than likely, you won't find many of these bottles in your nearby big-box wine store. I also love that when the COVID restrictions lighten up more, you can gather for wine tastings. Personally, I'm looking forward to learning more about wine and become as passionate and obsessed with it as the owners are. A++ interior, service and wine.

We stopped by Golden Hour Wine on our way to some friends houses for dinner and didn't want to show up empty handed. Golden Hour Wine has a wonderful assortment of wines from various regions and categories, so you're sure to find something for the wine lover in your life. The owner was very friendly and helped us quickly find a bottle of wine for our dinner that made us look like heroes! We also found something for ourselves too! Win win!

Inside is elegant just as well with lovely art pieces, decor and lighting. They just started doing brunch on Sundays when I went so it was nice to experience it and see their curated menu. When I made the reservation I requested a scenic ambiance spot which they had the perfect table for me and my server Erin surprised me with a complimentary glass of bubbles, I assume the prosecco which was such a treat being to start off my birthday lunch! I had some main goals of YES and I NEED, which was a nice bottle of wine, those gorgeous blue and white printed plates, the blue crab cannoli, and the ousters. All of which I received in the best presentation possible. The team at Lorelei even made my lunch ever so special by serving everything on those plates along with enhancing my blue crab cannoli with caviar on the top instead of the regular fish eggs that are placed which I was just full of joy and happiness seeing how special they surprised and customized my dishes for me! The bottle of Sauvignon blanc also a perfectly complimented my oysters as well as the cannolis. Overall, Lorelei did not disappoint me and met all of my expectations and desires with the perfect birthday lunch with my favorite besties! 5 Star update to include their incredible new food program! (Get the carrots and red cabbage salad…read moreand the pan con tomate STAT.) Quicksand is a natural wine bar that will change the way Orlandoans expect to feel at a bar. Pro-tip: ask the staff for suggestions and settle in! It's no secret that I've become a big fan of natural wine in the past few years, and that is 100% due to Golden Hour - a wine shop in Baldwin Park that I randomly discovered on their first day open. Heather, who brought us Golden Hour, opened Quicksand in late 2024 for those of us wondering why Orlando doesn't have a great wine bar like the ones we've seen in cities around the world for decades. ***Finding the bar: Quicksand is located directly next to Educe Salon (across from Black Bean Deli). It does not have a big sign, but it's the first door you'll see as you walk from the parking lot. ***Parking: Did I mention the large parking lot? There's plenty of parking available there, or on street behind the bar. ***Service style: As you walk in, head to the part of the bar closest to the entrance where you can get recs from their staff and don't have to try to bully your way through folks sitting at the bar to get their attention. ## Did I mention that everything here is intentional? From that simple detail that makes ordering another glass MUCH easier than flagging someone down in the middle of the bar, to the position of the speakers... *** The Food: Chef Leah Cordova has crafted a seasonal menu at Quicksand, currently consisting of sandwiches, small plates, and some heartier dishes. All of them have a focus on quality ingredients with many sourcing their components from local farms or special producers. My faves include: - Pan con tomate: The tomato here is actually a combination of fresh slices of small tomatoes as well as another preparation that adds a wonderful tang. It's truly a special version of this small dish. - Whichever salad they are featuring, but special mention to the carrot and red cabbage salad that has just the perfect amount of fennel! - The white bean dish. I didn't catch the name, but it's a winner! - Cacio e pepe: This is exactly the rich, creamy dish you are dreaming of. - Whichever ice cream they are featuring (Chef Leah also operated Sweet Thyme, her ice-cream project with inventive flavors. Faves include the black pepper and date as well as the carrot cake) ***Ambiance: As you walk in you'll feel enveloped in a warm glow of subtle sconces and feel immediately comfortable. It feels like Quicksand has always been here. It's unstuffy, unfussy, and so inviting it has me researching squatter's rights... The music will sound loud at first, but then you'll realize you don't have to raise your voice at all to talk to people. This is because the speakers have been built into the furniture low and towards the floor. INTENTIONALITY. Besides the volume, the playlist has been painstakingly curated by the team so that you'll enjoy the music, but not quite be able to place the artist. ***The WHY And now, my favorite part. The wall of farmers/winemakers. Someone on staff filled me in to the fact that these are portraits of the various human beings who farm, harvest, and create the wines you can get at the bar. These are actual people, not giant corporations. And that same staff member reminded me that these individual producers are farmers for 11 months and 2 weeks of the year, and wine makers for only 2 weeks. None of these people are household names. None of them are in it for the money. They are in it to produce beautiful wine the way it has been produced since the beginning of wine-making: with minimal intervention, meaning no insane additives that give me headaches; and no mass production. The thing I've come to love about "natural" wine is that it is intensely principled. Quicksand is what happens when *every single link* in the supply chain (Farmer/Producer; Importer; Distributor; and Wine Bar) prioritizes principles over profits. And you can feel it the moment you walk in. This is not a corporate chain, nor will you find multiple locations and franchises. Not only is the wine list filled with some of the most incredible bottles I've had the pleasure of trying (many of which you can't get anywhere else in Florida), but the staff truly believes in the power of creating this special "third space" for a community to gather around good, ethically-sourced wine. I can't wait until they start serving bites alongside the wine! (Someone told me the small menu will consist of cheeses, charcuterie, focaccia, chips, etc.) SALUD!

The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the different wines and helped to select the best glass for what I was in the mood for that evening. The bar was very clean and there is a lot more space then what you see when you first walk in. It was all very clean and modern looking inside. Looking forward to my next trip in.

It's definitely a great spot to get together after work and wind down with friends, coworkers, or even new people. Trivia Night was a blast! The host kept everyone entertained, engaged, and laughing throughout the evening. It felt very well-organized and had a nice community feel -- I'd absolutely go again for that experience alone. A few things did surprise me, though. Since it's a wine bar, I expected mostly alcoholic drinks, but their Instagram made it seem like they also offered non-alcoholic options. When I asked for a soda, I was told they only serve alcohol -- no soft drinks, no mocktails. So if you're not drinking, plan to bring your own or grab something before you go. Later in the night, I got hungry. Their Instagram also gave me the impression that they served food, but they actually don't -- the food comes from a food truck around the back. When I went to order, the lady running the truck told me, "I'd rather sell out...," which threw me off. I wasn't sure what she meant, but it came across as rude or maybe even personal, which was disappointing since I was ready to buy something. That said, I don't hold that against Grape and The Grain itself. The staff inside were kind and welcoming, the crowd was friendly, and the overall vibe was great. Everything was was very good, with the standout being the fries; I know that truffle essence flavor isn't for everyone but it worked really well for me in the fry sauce. Devil's food cake at the bottom of the affogato was also not as sweet as I would have liked. Overall a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend.
