I stopped in on a Thursday specifically to try their Ladies' Night Out "Girl Dinner" special, and for $15, I thought it was such a cute little deal. It comes with a small Caesar salad, truffle fries, and a charcuterie-style sampling with cheese and meat served on baguette. It's the perfect amount if you want a few bites while catching up with your girlfriends without committing to a full dinner. They also offer $7 drink specials, including cocktails like a Cosmopolitan and Dirty Martini, which makes the whole experience pretty affordable for a night out on Park Avenue. The Ladies' Night Out special is offered on Thursdays from 4-10 PM, so if you're looking for a cute and inexpensive way to start your weekend a little early, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Came to Boca for Magical Dining a couple of weeks ago to finally give it a try, and it left much to be desired. The food, for the most part, was simply okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. Nonetheless, despite it being just okay, I'd visit this restaurant again. For Magical Dining, I started with the Caesar Salad, which was baby gem lettuce with sourdough croutons, Caesar dressing, parmesan crisps, and a grilled lemon. The salad itself was okay. I've definitely had nicer Caesar salads, but overall, it did the job. I followed it up with the Butcher's Cut at medium-well (this probably the highlight of my Magical Dining experience), and then capped my dining experience with the Southern Orchard Crunch, which included caramelized peaches, graham cracker mousse, chantilly cream, pralines, vanilla wafer crumble, and mini marshmallows. Sadly, I did not like the Southern Orchard Crunch at all. I wish I had ordered the Vanilla Orange Crème Brûlée. I paired my meal with one of their cocktail staples: The Hibiscus Martini. Their Hibiscus Martini included the following ingredients: Cathead honeysuckle vodka, hibiscus St. Germain, Munyons Pawpaw Florida liqueur, hibiscus syrup, lemon, and was topped with a citrus cloud. It was a lovely, light, and refreshing cocktail. All in all, I was not super impressed with any one thing on their menu. The highlight was definitely the Butcher's Cut and the Hibiscus Martini if I had to choose. Otherwise, I'd be curious to dine outside of their Magical Dining menu. As I mentioned, I'd still visit again, and I would try more of their menu that was not featured on their Magical Dining menu (which is under the $40.00 menu option). As for general stuff, the staff was kind and very attentive. The bartender was amazing! Parking in Winter Park is always a chore to me - especially with all the construction zones on Park Ave. There is ample seating indoors as well as seating outdoors for Boca. There is also ample bar seating. The restaurant has a nice feel to it, and it is usually always fairly busy - which is always a good sign. read more

Super unfortunate way to host my mom visiting with a dinner here. I made a reservation for a Friday night in the Magnolia room (thankfully I read comments stating the Magnolia room is a quieter option). When we walked in the restaurant was so incredibly loud. We were sat in the Magnolia room where it wasn't as loud but still had to speak up to chat with eachother at the table. Our server was very nonchalant and provided us with regular menus and the Magical Dining menu. All 3 of us at the table opted for Magical Dining. I started with the lobster wonton. It was odd to serve 3 small wontons in such a large bowl. The wontons were crispy and just okay. The 2 others at the table atarted with a caesar salad. Over half of their salads were inedible because of the large hard parts of lettuce that were extremely bitter. They tried cutting those hard parts somewhat up to e en have salad to eat and they said it was gross. For mains, 2 of us got the butcher's cut (medium) with fries and the 3rd got the Milanese chicken breast. The fries were good and crispy. The steak was filled with fat. Again making parts of the meal inedible. The steak was not cooked evenly with one end of the steak being medium or even medium rare and the other end being well. It was very interesting how this happens. The chicken was said to have been extremely dry and overcooked. We did not say anything to the waitress because she did not come by the table very often and the food took almost an hour to come to the table after ordering and we didn't want to have to wait for the waitress and then have another long wait for the kitchen to remake the food. I wanted to also note that my water ran empty and the waitress spotted the empty glass and said she would refill it then proceeded to stand around and chat with another employee for sometime. About 10 minutes later a worker who was walking around filling everyone's glasses with water filled mine. Then another 10 minutes after that our server came by to refill and was shocked it was already refilled. Let's get to the desserts. We waited another 40+ minutes to get our desserts after finishing the main. We ordered one of each of the 3 dessert options. The vanilla orange creme brulee had very little orange flavor and was more watery than custard. The southern orchard crunch was very underwhelming. The doughnuts were maybe the best out of 3 best still just cakey doughnuts with nothing to be desired. Spending $120 for 3 disappointing meals was a real damper on our visit spent together. The food was lackluster and I almost needed to pack a sleeping bag to stay there for the long waits. This was my first visit at this restaurant and I will not be back. read more

This is the first restaurant I tried for magical dining besides Mordisco (with the help of Yelp!). The ambiance inside looks so nice. It seems more romantic than casual but not a fully romantic place. I had the tomato salad, butchers cut (was an 8 0z flat steak), and the orange vanilla crème brûlée. Our server Emily was so friendly, nice and knowledgeable. She really was such a pleasure to have as our server! The food was so good! I loved the steak and that tomato salad -omg if you love tomatoes-just get it! The vanilla orange crème brûlée I didn't like though. It tasted like egg with a flick of orange. I honestly didn't know if I was gonna like it or not but yea. No thank you. I love creme brûlée normally but I am picky with the flavor of it so that may have had something to do with it. Came here on two separate occasions. Once for a group dinner and the other for lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. Did the dinner influence the lunch plan? Yes, yes it did. Firstly, the have a little backroom that can easily accommodate a fairly large group. I sat back there for both the dinner and lunch. Everything me and my colleagues as well as friends and family ate on my two occasions tasted amazing. My lunch poke bowl tasted SO fresh. The cocktails were great. All of the flatbreads ordered were unique in flavor. I love a very flat flatbread pizza and this one did not disappoint. My sister loved the burger. The staff was extremely friendly from the hostess stand to the service. If anything, my only tip is give yourself time. My friends and I visited Boca on Sunday for a nice bach brunch. We were very excited to try the food after one of our friends highly recommended this spot for the great ambience, drink selection, and tasty food options. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice older gentleman who ensured we found a seat within minutes. Our server, Matthew, was STELLAR and made us feel right at home. We ordered the lobster wontons and zucchini fries with green goddess sauce to start and WOW how yummy ! Definitely order MORE of the wontons- those are a 5-star starter. I ordered the Crab Benny for my meal and my friends ordered the Steak and Eggs, the braised tacos, and the knife and fork breakfast sandwich. My dish was the perfect portion and quite filling without feeling super heavy. My friend's braised pork tacos with the street corn were perfect. My other girlfriend's order, the breakfast sandwich, was a generous plate and brimming with flavor. However, the steak and eggs entrees fell flat for my other 2 friends. One ordered her steak medium and the meat was overcooked. The other ordered medium rare, and while it certainly looked like it, the steak was entirely too tough to enjoy. I also noticed that the breakfast potatoes were a little hard. We shared our disappointment with Matthew and he did his very best to accommodate us and correct the error. The customer service was amazing, I was very pleased with how they handled the feedback, especially after they comped the two steak meals and took the time to take our critiques seriously. Where the steaks fell flat, our server Matthew and the manager, Alexis, saved the day! We went heavy on the apps, with the calamari, zucchini fries, parmesan truffle fries, and Brussels sprouts. The zucchini fries were the standout to me - I loved the goddess sauce for dipping. I'm not a big calamari person, but my boyfriend said he'd order it again! We didn't love the sauce with the brussels sprouts, but on their own they were nicely cooked. I chose the salmon for a lighter option, and the squash was a nice pairing. Not the most flavorful salmon I've ordered, but still a really solid entree. Great for dates, simple brunch's or just a day out. I opted for a grass fed burger to give it a try. I asked for it to be well done, however upon cutting into my burger was a medium rare burger.... I immediately sent it back, my waitress stated she asked for it to be well done. (Not her fault) .. the burger took a little while to come back out, when it did come back out, it was good and I got a basket of fresh fries since mine were already cold from waiting. I had a fantastic dinner at Boca last night! Both the hostess and server were sweet, helpful, and patient. I appreciated this very much especially because I was there to meet a group of ladies I had never met before (thanks to the Timeliest app!), and I was understandably a bit nervous going in. Aside from the wonderful service, the food and drink were excellent as well (all 5 other ladies agreed!). I had a glass of their moscato which was, quite possibly, the most delicious moscato I've had in at last 20 years. I also had the Cheesy Corn Fritters and Brussels Sprouts, both which were throughly enjoyed by the entire table. This place has been on my list for a while to check out and I finally had the opportunity to. The restaurant is nice. The lighting is comfortable and the decor is cool. They might wanna dust some of the hanging xmas decorations for webs though. There was plenty of seating when we arrived so we got a table almost immediately. Boca is a warm, inviting fine casual dining restaurant. It's definitely not a sports bar, no TV's. They have small intimate dining areas that are very cozy with pleasant decor. It offers a very sizable bar and patio/sidewalk dining areas. We decided to sit at the bar. My husband and I both spotted the Scampi Style Seafood dinner, which we both ordered. This wonderful seafood dish was loaded with chunks of Lobster, shrimp, topped with mussels in the shell, served in a broth with linguini. It was delicious, but I must report that it lacked zest, somewhat bland, which really surprised me. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad because it was definitely more than enough for two. Our bar server, Zey (female) was quite friendly, attentive and efficient. We will definitely be returning to this delightful restaurant. Now, I must tell you about their very conscience, friendly and gracious manager, Erin. When we arrived, the sun was already down and it was quite chilly. This restaurant had full glass doors that can be opened to the sidewalk cafe dining area. I asked the hostess if she would ask the manager if they could close one of the doors as it was as chilly inside as it was outside. Erin, the manager came to us with a genuine hello and informed us they would close one of the doors. This is not the best part...Erin actually offered me a large cup of hot water so that I may hold the cup to warm my hands!!! What a wonderful and caring person! I declined, but thanked her very much. They offer great happy hour specials. The only downside I have to report is parking. As many of you know, finding parking downtown Winter Park is frustrating to say the least. We happened to totally luck out and got a parking spot right in front of the restaurant!! I highly recommend this charming and welcoming restaurant. read more

I can honestly say, after eating here a year ago - this place has changed a lot and they have my business again. My fiance and I were strolling through Park Ave and hit the corner of Boca. For months, I've been avoiding this place but he said to give it another shot. We sat down and was served immediately. He got the old fashion and I got the hibiscus martini. For food, we shared the staff meal, which was chicken alfredo and skirt steak. Dessert - peanut butter pie. 5/5 - everything was delicious and so well made. The drinks were crafted to perfection, the pasta was creamy, the steak was the perfect medium, but the dessert was the star. Never had roasted marshmallow smeared on the plate!
