I ordered a cucumber rain martini and once I received it, I noticed the glass had a chip around the edge, potentially causing glass shards in the cocktail, so I informed my server and she had the bar make me a new cocktail in a new glass. I built my own turkey burger on a lettuce wrap and paired it with sweet potato fries. The turkey burger wasn't too dry, and I paired it with honey mustard. Popped by here after seeing an afternoon movie and I understand why this place is always packed on the weekend evenings. I took the creative route and built my own burger. They provide a dry erase menu to build your burger or you can do one of the preset menu items on the opposite side. The food came out quickly and was made exactly as ordered. I tried the truffle fries with my order but felt that the plain fries would have been a good choice as well. I recently checked out Hangry Bison and had a good experience overall. We ordered the pokeviche, caprese flatbread, and sweet potato fries. The fries were delicious. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was extremely sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. We happened to go on a Thursday night, and there was live music, which added a fun vibe, just a little too loud at times. My boyfriend and I visited here on a Saturday afternoon. This location is in the cutest part of Winter Park. It's located right across from the Regal movie theaters and among alot of shops. Out front there is a large grass area for kids to play around and is great for families. We were sat right away inside. To start, we enjoyed some pretzel bites that came with a side of cheese sauce. They were yummy but could have used more salt. For my entrée, I ordered The Hangry Bird. It's a turkey burger with bacon, cheese, guacamole, banana peppers, and other toppings. It was pretty messy to eat but had great flavors. My boyfriend built his own burger which you can find on the back of the menu. The fries were crispy and they gave you so much in a side order. We both ended up having leftovers to bring home. Solid food. The inside of the restaurant is decorated cute with industrial vibes and lighting. There is a full liquor bar inside. Hangry Bison is a nice warm feeling walking into the building with the lighting bringing it all together. Our server name was Taylor and she was amazing and easy to talk too. Now let's get into the food- The fries were delicious with a good seasoning on them and thickness but the downside is they were not cooked all the way through with a crispy to them 8.5/10 for the fries. The burger I did the build your own and got Short rib burger (Medium), smoked Gouda, Ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, spinach's on a Texas toast. The Texas toast bun was amazing with a soft top and bottom buttery 10/10. The burger itself was thick, tasty and juicy perfect Medium but the only downside is that their is no seasoning on the burger that would of enhance the cheese on the burger but more importantly the burger as a whole 7/10. I used to come to this place a lot when they first opened and it was always phenomenal. They made a few changes since then so when you come in, it's definitely a bar vibe but it's sleek modern. It's a good place for date night or to have a nice cocktail after work, but what I did was I did the build your own and I end up getting a salmon burger now at first the salmon burger used to be something completely different so when I came this time, it was an actual burger. It wasn't bad the lemon kind of overpowered in the salmon burger so I tasted a lot of lemon so it kind of took away from the experience and then they changed their fries. Their fries are kind of chunky. I'm not a fan of those kind of fries but they wasn't bad for my drink. I got a strawberry margarita. It was pretty good. I added a mint to it.. sent it over the top lol so I was definitely happy with my drink, but overall I'll give this place now a 7/10 I will be back though because I heard the wings haven't changed and those used to be so good so fingers crossed on when I go back hopefully those didn't change. read more

I have to say, I hoped for a little bit of a better experience here. That said, it was still a solid 4.5/5. Food: Sweet potato fries at amazing, 10/10. Truffle fries are not that great, especially for $8. I'd give them a 4/10. As far as the burgers go, I wanted to love them, but they just weren't amazing. The brioche bun was dry on mine. The pretzel but was good on my wife's though. The toppings were good and the flavor combinations were good, although nothing crazy. As far as the bison patties, they were only OK, and that's what disappointed me. They seemed drier than I would have expected, and the flavor was quite bland. Having tried thousands of burgers over my lifetime, these were not at all remarkable to me. Overall, I'd rate it a 6/10, maybe a 7. The service was awesome. Absolutely no complaints. Water was filled constantly and we were never left abandoned. 10/10. Ambiance was very cool. It felt rustic but sophisticated. The outdoor seating options are nice for a pleasant day. They have a small bar area as well if you just want to grab a quick bite. In summary, I wasn't blown away by the burger, but I liked the restaurant overall. After making the rounds through Winter Park Village eateries, finally gave Hangry Bison a try before hitting up the nearby movie theater and was impressed with my Bison Burger! My friends ordered some different options and left equally pleased but I definitely recommend you go bison! Stay on brand! It makes for a lean but juicy burger. For starters, I found the service to be friendly, and quick but not rushed! The food was delivered within about ten minutes of us placing the order which was convenient considering we were catching a movie. Our server checked in once or twice and did ask us about dessert but we were quite full so, I'll aim for dessert next visit. When you're seated, you get a menu and a marker so you can build your own burger- marking things right on the menu itself. The build your own burger section is easy and a great option for all. It includes Impossible burger patties (for vegetarians) and your typical meat options as well as a Bison burger option. I made the poor decision to get a grilled chicken breast as my meat and it tasted like the healthy choice... Meaning, I should've gotten beef! The chicken had a great char from the grill, but was very dry. Luckily, I got sweet potato fries with honey mustard on the side and those gave me the crunchy, fatty bites I was really desiring. We recently came here for dinner with some family! There was both indoor and outdoor seating, and bar seating available too! Upon arriving we were seated immediately and our server was very prompt about taking drink orders and answering any questions we initially had about the menu. Our food came out in a timely manner and everything was correct as well! We all really enjoyed our food! However we noticed that our server became harder to flag down as the evening progressed, when appetizers came out he dropped off the food and then left us with no plates or extra napkins. A similar situation for main entrees, he didn't come to check in on us or refill drinks once our entrees were out. When it was time to pay, we waited probably 30ish minutes for someone to come by so we could get the bill. We enjoyed the food and the service was initially really good, but got progressively worse as the evening went on. Overall I would be willing to give the restaurant another try, or maybe try a different location in hopes that the service is a bit better! read more

I have never in my life had a burger this good before. The restaurant was so clean and well lit and our server I think her name was Mayci was great! I did the build your own burger with the ribeye patty, bourbon glaze, smoked gouda, bacon, avocado and onion straws and it was DELICIOUS. I could taste EVERYTHING and it was so seasoned and well cooked. They also have a some salads and other entrees. The burgers are well made and you won't be disappointed. And roughly $20 for a burger and fries is a decent deal for a restaurant. Next they have a wall of bourbon. They go from Jim Beam all the way up to rare $500 a pour options. If you like bourbon, this is the place for you. They had a bottle of Eagle Rare so I was super happy to get a sit of that! Staff were all great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. A few TVs above the bar. If you're going on the farmers market day, Saturday, I would recommend getting there at 11 AM when they open so you can avoid any lines. That being said, the team is very well staffed, and they turn the tables like hot cakes. Not that you're rushed in any way; but, it's just an extremely efficient operation. I had one of the brunch special items, the Brunch Burger (short rib burger with fried egg) with Parmesan truffle fries (upgraded from the regular fries for $3). We were in town visiting family for a couple weeks and happened across the Hangry Bison and decided to stop in for a night cap. My husband and I love a good smoked old fashion! When I say Hangry Bison offers one of the absolute best smoke old fashions we have ever had I am not kidding! The Smoked Bison made with he Buffalo Trace Bourbon pairs beautifully with the hickory wood smoke. We enjoyed the drink so much that we returned two days later for the same drink. We went to the Hangry Bison for the first time last night for date night. We loved the atmosphere, service and food! Our server was amazing. I want to say her name was Brittany or Bethany. She was so attentive and kind! My husband ordered the Belgian flight and loved each beer. He's always nervous to try new beers so I'm glad he decided to last night.
