Had an amazing experience at Cavo's!! Found this place online and was so happy we did!! My husband and I went during the World Cup games and it wasn't too busy! The staff working were all super friendly and very prompt!! The food and drink prices are very reasonable. The food was also super good!!! I did the half chicken Philly and it was so good. I did tomato bisque soup as my side which was also really good and then of course we had to get curly fries which were cooked to perfection. Definitely can't wait to come back here again!
The food is amazing and never been disappointed. The service is great. They get a little busy with the world cup happening. Everything reasonably priced. My highlight of this place is simple the tator tots. Perfectly cooked crisp and reminds me of childhood. I order them all the time better than fries or onion rings which are normally my go to at bars. Highly recommend this dive bar. One of those everyone knows your name vibes
Cavos is the best sports bar in the downtown area. The menu is great - cheesesteaks, roast pork, and chicken parm are all excellent. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the service is great. The decor is Philly and NY, where the owners are from. It reminds me of a northeast bar, which is hard to do in Central FL. Love this place.
Came here one evening, because I heard they had some amazing Philly cheesesteaks. Looking at the menu, I also saw that they had freaking pigs in a blanket on the menu. These two factors meant I couldn't pass up an opportunity to come here. Ambiance was a little sport bar, a little dive, a little Philly, I think this was an Eagles bar. It was nice, comfy. TV's were everywhere, seating was everywhere. I think this would be a great place to come watch some NFL games. Service was very nice. We had a very friendly server. And the food came out very timely. Speaking of food, I definitely think this was the best Cavo's Philly Cheesesteak (Thinly sliced ribeye, sauteed onions, & white American cheese on a fresh baked hoagie roll) I've ever had. The hoagie roll was so soft, it held up so well to the wet ingredients inside, and the way the roll was cut was just perfect. I loved everything about this sandwich. We also had the French Bread Pizza (Fresh baked seeded roll split in half and topped with house pizza sauce, grande mozz, pecorino romano, and fresh basil (add pepperoni)). Very crispy bread, very cheesy cheese, and pepperoni that was packed with flavor. This was a lot of fun. I was super excited for the Pigs in a Blanket (All beef hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry served with chipotle ketchup & Bavarian sweet mustard). Very crispy, very legit hot dogs within, and wow, that ketchup was actually amazing. Eating this watching football would be a dream. Everything we ate with a side of Curly Fries. Also good. Everything was good here. I really can't wait to come back.

It was near the beautiful Thorton Park area, too. Service was very nice. We had a super nice girl, and the food came out in a timely manner. The food was super good! One of the best cheesesteaks I've had in my life, and it was hilarious and fun that they had pigs in a blanket on the menu. Cons: No real cons. Everything was good. Tips: They are famous for their cheesesteaks, so you must get one. The French bread pizza was fun an sharable. And those pigs in a blanket were so fun and crispy. Good place.
Cavo's Bar and Kitchen is a solid, laid back spot with good food and great service. The vibe is very chill with more of a neighborhood bar feel, plus TVs everywhere for watching games and plenty of seating both inside and outside. Service was very good the whole time, friendly without being overbearing. When it comes to the food, the steak sandwich really stood out. It was juicy and flavorful, almost like a French dip, and definitely something I would order again. The curly fries were also on point, crispy and well seasoned. I tried the French onion soup too, which was decent and comforting, especially if you are in the mood for something warm. Overall, a great place to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy some solid bar food. Not fancy, but that is part of the appeal. I would happily come back.
We really loved this place and are already planning a trip back. The chicken tortilla soup was so flavorful and had the right amount of spice. The Veggie sub was delicious I ordered a half, but I should have ordered a full. My husband had the chicken cutlets sub with broccoli rabe. He said it was also very good. Service was amazing. Go try this place you won't regret it.
Food was mediocre. Heard a lot about the Philly here & the meat was cold? At opening? Made me wonder how fresh the bread was, probably 2-3 day old. So disappointed by this place. I thought would be so much better. Just wrong. The chicken parm was not much better. Tots were ok. The service was good but what's good service with disappointing food... The guys care about talking a lot to customers but food, it's mid at best! Not sure we'll be back.
As a Delco native living in Florida, thank god for Cavo's. It is *literally* a taste of home, food wise, but also for the vibes. Staff is great I always have a great time when I go. It's of course where I bring people to try a real cheesesteak, but the chicken cutlet is my go-to. And thank you for calling it the proper name: a hoagie. Nostalgia for home aside, delicious bar food, highly recommend!!

I've been hearing alot of good reviews about the Philly cheese steak here, and it lived up to it! The bread was perfect, meat was amazing! Great cheese to meat ratio! Loved the vibes inside and had a cool outdoor seating area too! Loved the area also! Staff was very nice and friendly and fast service too!

Okay so hear me out . I think I might have found one of the best chicken cheesesteak spots in the O. I was craving a cheesesteak after having a long conversation with my mom and was looking up places between TikTok and IG and came across this place . Cavo's is located in Thornton park near downtown Orlando . I went last Friday and omg that fist bite was like heaven. I decided to order through DoorDash and only spent around 11 dollars for my half sandwich. I will say if your really hungry go for the full which is $17 dollars but if your not as hungry the half is perfect . I even had some the next day. But back to the chicken cheesesteak. It comes with onions, American cheese , and a soft bread. The chicken and cheese just melted in my mouth. I also added mushrooms . Cavo will definitely have a new customer in me . The ambiance of the bar looked really chill. Definitely sports bar energy but the servers were nice when I went to pick up my food. I may come on aFriday or Sunday night with friends to get another cheesesteak and drinks . I am on the hunt to find the best chicken cheesesteak in Orlando as my favorite spot is in Melbourne. I think so far this place tops it .
Every now and then I get a serious craving for a Philly, and this was one of those days. After spending far too many hours reading reviews and scrolling through photos, I finally decided on Cavo's. Several people claimed it was the most authentic cheesesteak you'll find outside of Philadelphia, so my expectations were high., I'm happy to say they absolutely delivered. This cheesesteak was INCREDIBLE. It was packed with tender meat and gooey cheese with every bite loaded with flavor. it wasn't of those sandwiches that leaves you searching for the fillings. I'm pressure I gained a couple pounds from finishing it and honestly it was worth every bite. The caprese was also out of this world. a little spin with a fried green tomato which absolutely delighted. the restaurant is very cozy with a rustic bar atmosphere that's comfortable and inviting. what really stood out though was the staff. everyone was genuinely friendly and gave the impression that they truly enjoyed working there which made the experience ever the better. If you're searching for that Philly this is the spot. This is an easy recommendation, and I'll definitely be back when that next craving pops up. read more
This place is phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back because I still think about the white sangria I had here. The sandwiches were delicious, and even a half order is very filling. I ordered the full sandwich and ended up taking the other half home. The service was decent. It was a busy night, and since the restaurant is seat yourself, it took a while before we were greeted. The check ins were a little sparse, but we weren't in any rush, so it didn't bother us. There was a steady flow of people coming and going, from families to groups of friends. This is definitely a cute little spot in Thornton, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. read more

Update from last review: So I went last fall during football season and it was awesome. I left a review before and the food was SO good. Today the food was not good. I ordered the chicken cutlet, it was nothing like last time. The breading didn't even stick to the chicken cutlet it was all separated. Everything was Very bland, everything (including the roll) needed salt and seasoning. The roll wasn't crunchy it could have spent more time in the oven.Maybe it was a new chef or something but I would up just tossing the other half. Nothing like a Philly chicken cutlet sandwich this time unfortunately. Bartender was nice though and inside of the bar is cool. read more

I ordered a whole philly cheesesteak...it was one of the best Ive ever had. I didnt even need any mayo or mustard...it was very flavorful. Although I did wait quite a while for my takeout order...it was worth the wait. read more
Good service and ambiance here. I came for the cheesesteak which was floating around social media. I was not impressed with the cheesesteak by any means. The bread was primarily the problem. It was very dense, almost like a bagel. The ribeye shavings were well melted with the cheese - wish they had cheese wiz. Prices were a little bit more than I normally pay for a sandwich. I really like this bar, although the stars on this occasion may not seem so. The service here was 100% awesome and the servers, only 2, with a half full bar, both inside and out were the best. I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering wings, extra crispy hot, which is my preference. The wings came out with spongey skin which I absolutely hate, and instead of starting a new batch, they just dropped them back in the fryer. That is a no no. Suffice to say, I wasn't going to send them back a 2nd time and maybe I can try something else next time. PS, if you are looking for Buffalo wings, they are not here. The beer was good and the service was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely will return, and I have learned my lesson. WINGS NO!!! read more

My partner would not stop raving about the chicken phillys from here and boy was he not wrong! This place is a perfect dive bar along with some damn good food. The servers were friendly, attentive and remembered him from previous visits. Plenty of vegetarian options which i appreciated and everything they had was absolutely delicious, would return and recommend! read more

Are you looking for the perfect philly cheesesteak? This sandwich was served hot and fresh! I added banana peppers and cherry peppers to their classic philly cheesesteak and it was a party in my mouth. I are it slowly because I wanted it to last longer! We also got a roast pork italiano. It was good, but did not compare to the cheesesteak. read more

I don't dislike a lot of things, but I'm not a fan of pesto or goat cheese This had both and I swear I could not tell at all Chef performed Magic making this I swear!!!! First things first. Please change your deng bread.. maybe if it was better bread it would get a better rather but it was TERRIBLE. So doughy and too much of it. As for the meat and cheese it wasn't too shabby. Meat to bread ratio there was a good amount of meat. The onions were pretty tasty and definitely was a different Philly compared to what I've had in the last. Overall I give it a 8.3/10. I hear one of the owners is from Philly and one from Brooklyn. So I'm here for Giants vacation Eagles on Monday Night Football. Located in the old Grafitti Junktion spot in Thornton Park, it feels like a neighborhood hangout already. Prices are reasonable. $8 for a roast beef and provolone. I also had some gravy fries (if you don't know, you better ask somebody) and bacon wrapped shrimp. I'm from Jersey and they got it right! Came to order and charge my phone... no greeting got a margarita it tasted like water look like water... wasn't tripping about the margarita but damn I been sitting at bar nobody came to check to see if I was ready to order witch I didn't order. We stopped on a drive through the area. We knew we'd found gold when we saw the Philly's logo on the cheesesteak (on the menu). Great food. Great drinks. Great service. If we are ever back in this part of the state we will be back. read more

Well was meeting a friend for lunch and ended up at the wrong place. As I was waiting the manager came out and was photographing the special for the day. Once he was done he offered it up to me. OmG it was tasty. It was a pork belly bao with cilantro and a drizzle of Buffalo sauce. The waitress and bartender were friendly. I went with the lunch special (chicken Philly and soup) I recommend this place for food. read more
I finally made it to Cavo's Bar & Kitchen after hearing about their chresesteaks for years. For my first impression, I have to say that I was a bit surprised that it was more a bar than a restaurant, but I was just getting food to go and it still had a cool enough ambiance. Also, parking can be a bit difficult as it is street parking not far from Lake Eola Park. I did find parking a street over, so it was not really that big of a deal. The bartender was incredibly friendly and my food was ready as promised when I arrived. I had ordered the cheesesteak and tater tots. The cheesesteak was very good. The tater tots were also good. I would definitely say that this cheesesteak was one of the better cheesesteaks in the Orlando, Florida area. Cavo's Bar & Kitchen is definitely a great option for a cheesesteak. I would definitely recommend Cavo's Bar & Kitchen and I will give it five stars. Great place. read more

First, and I cannot stress this enough: PHILADELPHIA EAGLES FANS SHOULD VISIT HERE. I had heard about this being an Eagles bar but I didn't fully put 2 & 2 together until I walked in and saw the decor. Multiple TV's with several different games on and not a bad seat to watch any event you're there for. You can catch me here for the Eagles' 2024 season opener. Happy hour specials are great! $2.50 for a Bud Light, Miller, or Yuengling draft. Hard to beat that but also $5 Tully. They have a multiple Vodka flavors on happy hour as well. I started my order at the bar because I didn't realize there was a server but Katie let me order from her and took great care. I don't think I waited more than 2 minutes for any service at all. Finally, the food. I saw several people ordering things but the most amazing thing I saw was the Philly. First, be prepared that it doesn't come with anything on the side. Second, IT IS FILLING! I was so full that I nearly took a nap in my seat. I'm only slightly exaggerating. The Philly was nearly perfect. I would have added peppers but I'm being picky as it didn't need anything extra. Again, from the time I ordered to the time I received it, I couldn't complain. The wings also looked great from my vantage point but that's for my second visit. Also, I like to point out parking. Somehow, I managed to find street parking less than 500 ft from the door but I imagine this does not happen on a busy Sunday during football season. In this case, I'd suggest checking the nearby parking garage or Uber/Lyft/bicycle. read more
