Walking into Cow & Cheese gives you a laid-back vibe that anyone can get behind, especially me. The artwork on the walls and the music create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The service was great. We were welcomed as soon as we came in and were shown how to order using the tablet. They also don't accept tips, and they make that clear to customers. I respect that because it lets you enjoy the food without feeling pressured to spend extra money. Now, let's get into the food. All of their burgers are made to order. They're smash burgers, and I tried the new C&C Combo Meal, which comes with two smash burgers and your choice of lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickles. You can also add bacon if you want. This burger gave me a whole new perspective on burgers, especially smash burgers. The seasoning was amazing, the cheese made the burger even better, and the special sauce added a subtle flavor that really helped it stand out. The bun was soft, flavorful, and tied everything together perfectly. I absolutely loved this burger, and it introduced me to a flavor that I think everyone needs to experience. 9/10 The fries were crispy, crunchy, and lightly salted. They also give you a generous portion, which I really appreciated. 8.5/10 If you're in the Orlando area, don't sleep on this hidden gem. Give it a try--you won't regret it.
Cow & Cheese has great food. I typically don't frequent this particular location but it offers the same options and great service as the University location. You order via a kiosk and your food is prepped and delivered pretty quickly. I only got fries this time but will return to try a burger.
Soooo good!! Worth every penny!! Can't wait to go back and try their wings!! I was greeted with smiling faces! Employees were busy but still stopped to help me and answer my questions. Very attentive. Fast service!
A solid 4 restaurant for sure. We went looking at their menu ahead of time and knowing it was very limited but thought there might be more offered at the actual location. There wasn't it. It's just a burger and fries and that's it lol. You can get single , double or triple cheeseburgers and then regular fries or seasoned fries. My boyfriend gave the burger a 8.2/10. He said it was really good and I had a bite and thought it was decent. It's a smash burger so the patty is burger than the bun and overall had great flavor with the pickles , onions and their cow and cheese special sauce. The seasoned fries tasted like they are seasoned with the seasoning that the bbq Fritos have. Both good dishes. The staff was friendly . The place was clean. I guess I just wish there was more variety. I try to stay away from fast food hamburgers so I was hoping there was a chicken sandwich on the menu but I guess that's why they call in cow and cheese. I think the prices are a little steep. You do get a big burger but it was 12 dollars and the basket of fries was 5.50. You're not walking out of there paying less than 10 bucks on anything that's for sure.
Cow n cheese is a great place for a smash burger! I got their doc burger add jalapeños. We also got the seasoned fries. Everything seemed to be made fresh. You order through a kiosk and there was plenty of seating! There is a parking lot with a ton of spaces available! If you are in the mood for a smash burger then this is a fantastic option! It was very good. We will be back.
I stopped by Cow & Cheese because I was in the area. The ambiance was busy & steady traffic for dining in & take out . The service was quick . You order on the kiosk and they will text you when your order is ready. They have recently added a $12 value meal that comes with a double cow x double cheese sandwich, fries and a drink . You can upgrade your fries and drink for an extra $0.99 each and you can also upgrade your sandwich for an additional $3. I did upgrade my fries to the dry rub but kept everything else the way the meal came . I ate part of my meal there and took the rest to go. The ambiance of the place is like a 90's vibe and they were bumping some nice 90's music .
Not bad at all, definitely sloppy though. Maybe it was a bad idea for me to put lettuce, tomato, and bacon all on the sandwich along with their secret sauce. For me, it's basically another Smashburger place that really just sells burgers and fries and really nothing else more. Once you get past the messiness of the sauce and everything else it's actually not bad. But I wouldn't really come back again unless I was starving. I feel like there's many of these all across the country. Service was phenomenal, though, they definitely do care about their patrons.
Hungry ? Well you need to run to this place located near lake lily in maitland and grab the most delicious smash burger in orlando ! Service is very welcoming and I love the chill ambiance with music playing . After visiting their location in winter park , we decided to try this location and the vibe was still amazing. A bit hidden so look for Walgreens as this is right by and close to Francesco's . For under $40 we had 2 smash burgers with fries and a fountain drink. I know what I'll be ordering for my picnics at lake Lily or salon visits from now on.
Cow and Cheese is such a vibe. Smash burgers on a perfectly toasted brioche bun with crispy bacon and their house special sauce is everything. I dip my Cajun fries in the sauce too and it is a game changer. But honestly what keeps me coming back just as much as the food is the people. Everyone greets you the second you walk in and makes you feel right at home. Love this place.

Cow and Cheese is a legit burger spot. It was our first time there and overall it was a good experience. The restaurant had a hip hop vibe with some cool artwork and 90s music. The service was really good as everyone was super friendly and welcoming. As it was our first time, the gentleman working took the time to walk us through the process of ordering and the entire menu. My youngest son got a double cheeseburger, my older son got a triple, and I got the Doc. We got an order of regular fries and the seasoned fries. We also got the cheese sauce and some sodas. The smash burgers were good and fresh and the bread was good too. As these were our first time having smash burgers we have to give it another shot. The beer sauce was delicious!! We were dipping our fries in it! The seasoned fries were good but the flavor resembled BBQ potato chips. If you like that flavor you would love the fries! I was expecting them to be spicy so I was a little disappointed that they were more Smokey and sweet. Overall I would recommend this place and definitely plan on going back.

Overall, it was ok. Not great, but not bad. Like most places, it has its good points and not so good points. Good points: awesome music, vibes, decor, and food. Not so good: Messing up our order, having to request condiments, napkins, straws, utensils, nor offering "single" patty, and overcharging (this goes for most places these days). Here's the real deal: The burgers taste good and the fries (without seasoning) were really good. But since these are "smash burgers" their double-patties are super thin and aren't as filling as you'd expect. My wife and mother, who both generally eat very small portions were both able to easily finish their burgers.

On top of that you have to order on an iPad and there's no explanation or guidance if it's your first visit. Meanwhile three employees were just chatting behind the counter. Once we flagged someone down they were friendly and gave us recommendations which I appreciated. I love smashburgers, easily my favorite style, but these were just burnt. The whole burger was hard and crunchy, not in a good way. It was like biting into char. The fries came with some kind of special seasoning that was overpowering and honestly just unpleasant. There was so much of it we couldn't even shake it off. We barely made it through half the meal. Maybe we caught them on an off day but overall it was a disappointing experience. Doubt I'd return.

I was craving a smash burger and decided to try this location out since it's close to home and I came on Saturday evening around 6pm and was surprised how empty it was but inside was clean and I liked the decor with the graffiti on the wall. I got the double patty with cheese fries and both were delicious! Just to know that they don't accept cash here only card so just keep that in mind when coming here but I would come back again if I am ever in this area again. read more

Food 3.0 - Service 2.0 - Interior 3.0 A fun name and a simple concept - SmashBurgers, cheese, and fries. Yes, the single burger tasted good. Cooked just right, firm on the outside and soft on the inside, the crinkle cut fries were loaded with Kwame B's Secret Rub. I enjoyed the sweet and savory mix. Not so good - the service and the dull interior. The service was minimal - 3 men by the grill filling orders. No interaction with them unless something was missing in the order, and then it was just about the order. Two of our orders were missing cups for drinks and the fries, all part of the combo meal. I should mention that all orders are put in and handed off in a small black garbage bag. The restaurant was clean. Murals and pictures created with a graffiti-like look hang or painted on the walls provide some character. But, the place felt lifeless. Ordering is by one of two touch screens. With each burger menu option (one, two, or three burgers), you choose your free standard toppings, and pay for additional toppings. Coke fountain and canned products are available. read more

BEST burger I've had in Orlando! 3 menu items ( burgers) then chose sides You can have your fries with or without seasoning ! Good location, plenty of parking and handicapped accessible. Service was good and I enjoyed the ambience in the artwork.!! Really like the sauce a lot !! I do have a few new burger, places to try but prior to trying this one. I thought five guys had the best burger. After trying this one. Cow & cheese now has my award..... for best burger * same owners as chicken fire And that chicken wing place (that's the name) if I said it wrong hopefully the owner or somebody will correct me because that's the last place. Stopped into Cow and Cheese today and had such a great experience. Hatter was super helpful and made me feel right at home while I decided what to order. I went with "The Doc" burger and wow--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The toppings really set it apart, and you can tell everything is made fresh with care. The vibe of the place is laid-back but welcoming, and the staff really goes the extra mile. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area--I'll be back for sure to try more of the menu! read more

After my first visit to Cow & Cheese, I'd have to say I'm most impressed by the value. By today's standards $12 for a double smash cheeseburger with fries and a drink cannot be topped. This isn't McDonald's level fast food. Quality bread, meat, and cheese; that's all you need. I will be back to try additional menu items such as the Kwame B Secret Rub fries with beer cheese and The Doc burger. Support local Black owned businesses! read more
I had a great experience at the University location. We ordered online and were told 15 mins. We waited about 30 and turns out the order was incorrect. I paid an extra $2 and change to add their caramelized onions, which unfortunately weren't added and the burger was just overall sloppy. Everything was cold, which I don't understand cause we waited inside for our name to be called so you'd assume it would be fresh. The gentleman making the food kept on pulling his pants up, and I mean over and over. Definitely not someone I want cooking food. I will not go to this location in the future. read more
I was craving a Burger on a Sunday evening so I decided to try the Maitland location since I love the Goldenrod location. The manager was really nice and helped me with the kiosk. I ordered the Triple Cow x Triple Cheese with French Fries. I enjoyed every inch of that burger. The 3 layers of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and the CC sauce. The fries were delicious too. I love the graffiti artwork all over the restaurant. There is plenty of space to sit with your family and friends. I definitely will be back for a good Burger! read more

No-frills place. Would call this a "do one thing and do it well" place. This is a burger place and a burger place only, don't look for chicken sandwiches or hot dogs or anything else on the menu. Smashburger is rich and indulgent, but very good. Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. There's a sign posted that they don't accept tips, which was incredibly refreshing (are we all weary of the "just gonna ask you a quick question" screen. Overall, definitely recommend! read more

This place is RIDICULOUSLY good. Make sure you find Merritt. She is awesome and literally running around making sure everyone has their food and anything else they need all while cleaning and stocking things. My favorite burger will probably always be at The Whiskey, but this is the best smash burger I have had anywhere in Orlando. Amazing meat lace, still juicy, the bun is toasted perfectly and the outside is extremely soft. And for $7! But add the caramelized onions because they take this thing over the top. And then the fries - new favorite fries in Orlando. Kwame B's Secret Rub fries. Extremely seasoned, crispy but then soft inside. Paired with the beer cheese sauce, I will be back just for these. read more

I think this is my 4th time visiting & have not been disappointed once. More than you expect with a basic burger joint, incredible smash burgers, killer crinkle cut fries. Today's service was beyond exceptional, could not hear if the front of house help was Ryan or Byron (working 2pm on Dec 13th), extremely helpful, very welcoming, even asked if we needed anything while he was leaving from his shift. And, love the owners' banter on social media about paying his employees a respectable wage & tips are not accepted. read more

I was in the area and had been wanting to try this place for a while. The staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The menu is simple, mostly fries and smash burgers. I ordered the smash burger combo, which comes with a double patty, for about $15-$16. It was really good, I loved the crispy edges on the burger. I also got a side of beer cheese for my fries, which was a great addition. The inside is nice with cool wall art. Overall, a very good experience read more

*I am reviewing in terms of my delivery experience with Cow & Cheese* My coworkers and I were craving a smash burger and someone had suggested Cow & Cheese, so we gave it a shot through UberEats. I ordered the DOG and their seasoned fries. While their menu was limited to a few items, you cannot go wrong with any of it! Everything was packaged well and also well-ventilated so nothing felt soggy or cold. Fries were very well-seasoned. Had a honey BBQ taste to it which was delicious. I wish I had ordered their CC sauce or beer cheese and it would have been phenomenal! The burger was also delicious and very filling! It had a double patty, caramelized onions and cheese which seems basic but really all it needed! I look forward to visiting this location in person or my next delivery order for my burger cravings! read more

They forgot our condiments but honestly we didn't even care. The burgers are so good and the prices are amazing. Order your food, get your food, get out. Love how quick and easy everything is. Almost wish they had a drive through. A few tables to eat at wait at. Food doesn't take long at all to come out. Bread to meat ratio is perfect, got 2 DOCS and 1 TCTC with fries. Can be a bit on the saltier side for some people but that's part of what makes smash burgers so good. read more
