Ambiance was AMAZING, we sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful! Service was exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Slow and not very attentive. The food is sadly where this place really lacked. I got the burger, which was a mash burger and I wasn't aware of that (could have totally been my mistake but don't recall it being listed). My boyfriend got the OG taco. The guy informed us it only came with one taco. $5 for one taco. He got two tacos, and keep in mind it does NOT come with any sides. My boyfriend was left dissatisfied with his messily two tacos. He said they were also soggy as they did not heat the taco tortilla AT ALL. As for both dishes there was a serious lack of flavors... Unfortunately don't think we will be coming back for food...we'll have to try their drinks next time.

Snagged a seat at the indoor bar around noon on Saturday just before the rush. This spot gets busy quick, and the patio is always the first to go on a nice day, but the vibe inside is just as solid. The house salad is low-key incredible--that Italian seasoning really makes the whole thing pop. Paired it with a brisket taco which was a cool, tasty move. The bartenders are top-tier and keep the energy right. Definitely a staple for the rotation.

My sister-in-law and I were a little hungry as we were downtown and we found this place on yelp so we went. The servers were very nice. The food was very good. The atmosphere was amazing. It was a beautiful night in Orlando. I'm happy that we stopped there and we'll come again another time.

Lake Ivanhoe/Orlando~ What a great spot to hang out, people watch, and eat delicious food. This restaurant sits across the street from Lake Ivanhoe and affords beautiful views of the lake. There's seating inside and outside, but on a beautiful day outside is definitely where you want to be! Basically bar food, but elevated. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio along with the brisket and bacon, sammie. I switched out the regular mayo and got horseradish mayonnaise. I could've used a lot more of that on my sandwich, and the brisket could've been grilled a little bit less. It was a little bit chewy, but honestly really delicious! Service was on point. Everyone was very friendly. This would be the perfect hangout spot on a Sunday afternoon.

I thought this was a healthy spot for some reason, and never stopped by. But I don't think the beer or food qualify! Although the parking lot is small, there is a lot of space inside. There's also an outdoor bar area with plenty of space and a walk up bar. I tried the cheesy brisket taco, it was a nice sized taco. The brisket had a beer flavor to it. But it was pretty good. The side salad was kind of meh. And the pickle dip was interesting. I like how it came with pickle shaped fries. The dip had chopped pickles in the dip and was ok. I would go back for a happy hour and snacks feel.

Okay im pissed because.... WHY DIDNT YALL TELL ME ABOUT THIS PLACE SOONER!?!? A friend and I had an hour to kill before Pilates and stumbled on this place... YALL. Best drinks ever. Staff is so awesome, it feels like i walked into a friends home. The food was great and it's a perfect place to chill and catch up with a friend! Id suggest the outdoor seating!

Omg, no doubt some of the absolute best sandwiches we have had in a while. My Dad is in ICU at ORMC so this wasn't too far to travel. On this view, four sandwiches weren't available due to the grill being down but we so didn't miss it. They were having a kitty adoption day and if I still lived in FL I would have taken one home lol. Our server was a male, tall and skinny, knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and professional. We ate outside, party of seven. He kept our beverages full and was just great. Wish I remembered his name. One area that could use improvement is the floors inside. So sticky. Otherwise an incredible experience. Go with confidence.

It's been a few years since we first tried the Gnarly Barley and they've really improved the space. The patio is expanded with its own bar and adorable dog friendly patio. On a breezy Friday afternoon it was a great space to grab lunch. We shared the pretzel app with pimento cheese and the Brisket Bacon Sandwich. The pretzels were perfect but the pimento cheese was just okay. The Brisket Bacon Sandwich is like a Philly cheese but better. So tasty and filling. The service was quick and friendly and they happily split the sandwich for us. We'll be back soon for sure.

During my busy travels, I have a little ritual: I like to find a local bar and indulge in their cheeseburger and fries. Recently, I stumbled upon Gnarly Barley, a charming spot known for its impressive sandwiches, but my main focus was the burger. Let me tell you, this burger is a delight--it's messy, which I love! I'm a big fan of pickles, so I always ask for extra on my burger, adding an extra layer of flavor. The weather was perfect that day, so I decided to sit outside at the bar, enjoying the view of the street. The atmosphere was lively, with multiple TV screens showcasing Orlando's teams, making it a great spot for sports fans. Overall, I'd say Gnarly Barley has nailed the classic burger experience, and I can't wait to return!

This place nails the chill weekend vibe. Tons of outdoor seating, a grassy area where the kids can run around, and a laid-back bar setting that makes it easy to relax. It's known for its hot sammies and solid beer selection and it definitely delivered. While there's no dedicated kids' menu, it's easy to mix and match for a kid-approved meal. We ordered chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for our little ones. I had the Chicken Philly, which came with fresh white meat and melty provolone. My husband went for the Biggie's Bomb-Mi, which featured a massive piece of crispy chicken and a sweet orange Asian-style sauce. Everything tasted freshly made no frozen shortcuts here. Prices were typical, and the service was excellent. The staff worked as a team and were genuinely attentive. Great food, great vibe, and a space that works for both grown-ups and kids. We'll definitely be back.

First time at this location, and love the fun, modern vibe of this use to be dive bar... since the S Orange days. It was still pretty cool then. We stopped here for lunch, and the sandwiches are both very tasty. We ordered the spicy Cuban and a chicken club, and added on fries. The club was probably my fav of the two, juicy and well seasoned. The staff were friendly, and two servers were working together I believe. They seem to have a good happy hour from 3-7pm, but drinks only. We're be back for sure to check that out , and try some other tasty eats. Cheers friends

The food was fantastic. We loved it. Everything was unique and had great flavors. The service not so much. Once our server found out we weren't drinking alcohol the service became nonexistent. A couple sat next to us and the man had to get up and grab the waitress because she was clueless. The ambience was relaxed , fun and super chill. Great food, subpar service. Enjoy

I wanted to like this place so badly, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. The vibe of the space is great, and I love the decorations and Christmas lights. I am not usually someone who complains about service, but the service was practically non-existent here. We ran out of water pretty quickly after we ordered, and we were not able to get a refill until after our food was delivered. After that, we did not see our server again until it was time to pay. We started off with the corn dip, which was pretty good. I liked the chips a lot. My husband ordered the grilled cheese, which was very greasy and flavorless. The black bean tacos were extremely soggy on the bottom as soon as they were delivered to our table, and fell apart as I tried to eat them. The flavor of them was okay, but nothing super special. I hope that I just visited on an off-day, since I really want to like this place. The outside seating has a great view of the lake, and they have so many vegetarian options on the menu.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

We were a little unsure where the entrance was at first, but a staff member outside noticed and guided us right in small detail, big impact. Once inside, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The restaurant was lively and busy in the best way. It's an intimate space, but beautifully styled very much giving South Beach energy. Our waiter, Louis, truly elevated the experience. He introduced himself, explained the menu thoroughly, and made great recommendations. We opted for the Magical Dining $40 three-course menu along with the $30 drink pairing, which included a drink for each course such a great value. My meal: * Appetizer: Fresh ceviche with tuna, avocado, and watermelon light, flavorful, and unique * Drink: Floridian Slip refreshing and perfectly balanced * Entrée: Ropa Vieja - rich, tender, and paired perfectly with rice, beans, and Cuban bread * Drink: Funky - fruity with a nice kick * Dessert: Maduro Bread Pudding - sweet, warm, and indulgent * Drink: Coquito - smooth and the perfect ending Every single course was thoughtfully prepared, and the drink pairings complemented each dish beautifully. The host was nice enough to give us a menu to browse while we waited and someone came to ask us what drink we would like to sip on (i really thought they were offering us a free drink for the wait, but later saw we were charged for them, no biggie but would have been nice considering we waited so long) Drinks were all so so good! No complaints there. We started with the smoked fish dip and ceviche which was different than your typical one, but refreshing! I had the skirt steak - it was flavorful but definitely heavy on the salt. I still really enjoyed it as well as the rice & beans. Hubby got the ropa veija which he enjoyed. Our friend got the osso buco which he liked, but said the chicharron was not good at all. We then had some pastelitos for dessert! They added a 18% gratuity to the check, which was fine and I appreciated them telling us as well as circling it. Overall I think it was really good but nothing out of the world, you can find similar food for much less at your other local Cuban spots - what sets the place apart is the drinks and vibes so if you're looking for the whole experience then it's your place.

We looked over the happy hour menu (good all day on Monday nights and Tuesday through Friday 5-7pm). We ask Mel about the "Bartender's Choice" selection under happy hour drinks. She said the bartender will mix a drink of their preference. The customer cannot choose the alcohol or any mixers as the bartender makes the decisions all by him or herself. Mel asked if we had any allergies or any other issues that might affect the drinks the bartender would like to make. We said we did not and we decided to take on this "choice" experience. Serena was the bartender of the evening and she did an amazing job. She mixed up various concoctions for us throughout the night (we ordered a second round after the first one) and we enjoyed every drink she prepared. The presentation of the drinks were also well done. Serena's cocktails consisted of bourbon, rum, and various ingredients which could include bitters, lemon, agave or other cocktail mixers. She was the bartender extraordinaire of the evening. For food, we ordered the half dozen chicken wings (2 orders since they were so good) and the pizza empanadas to start. The two empanadas had mozzarella cheese stuffed inside and were served with a warm marinara. From the main menu, we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon, which was served on a bad of risotto and tomato butter, with capers. The portion of the salmon was somewhat small for the price of $28, but it and the risotto were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with their signature drink, "Death in the Afternoon" which contains absinthe and is one of my favorite drinks here in Orlando. It was another five star experience and my friend found a new restaurant she now loves.
