Yeah this place was really cool and enjoyable when I went with my wife. Lots of TVs that have every game and event. They have a full bar and their beer selection is pretty amazing as well. When we visited we had their mozzarella sticks and their 10 count wings, both were great. Their wings are actually big chunky wings so it's great bang for your buck. This place has been on my radar for years...YEARS!!! I drove by it and turned in today. I was in search of wings. Must say, it is a GREAT start when the server let's you know they are the best seller on the menu, EVEN BETTER news was being told they take about 15-20 minutes to be served! You know what that means!!! Fresh wings! Not baked and chilled to be fried and sauced when ordered! I was so excited!!! I sat back to enjoy my beer and took in the atmosphere! Showed up late night for some wings and beer. We were able to call ahead and get the wings started so they were ready shortly after we arrived. Maybe put pitchers and cups out if you're too entitled to take 2 seconds to keep patrons hydrated and don't guilt them into tipping you for water? First time here and felt really unwelcome. This was my first visit and my last. There were several drunken clients that were very foul mouth and the entire staff was joining in. The language wasn't the problem. It was just the graphic of the language that was so disturbing. Also, I was way overcharged for both the one drink I had and the sandwich. I was looking for a new place to be my new watering hole. I would never return to this place. There was absolutely no respect. One of the drunken women dropped a glass which splattered all over some of the shards near me. Some of the staff was drinking with them. it was unfathomable that they even allowed these people to drive their vehicles home. They were so obnoxiously drunk. I came in to meet up a friend of mine. He was talking Devaney's so much and I did not believe him. My memories of Devaney's when I was drinking underage over 10 years ago at the one Devaney's college bar in East Orlando. When I walked in, I grabbed a table. Sat down and was greeted by a server. Not too friendly ...I felt more of a hassle. Once my friends came in (who are regulars there, know the staff, and managers), they were greeted immediately and the staff knew exactly what they were ordering. I thought it was cool until they took my boyfriend and my order for food. I felt like a side note of someone the server needed to attend to. Full of enthusiasm for my friend, and I was the hassle. I had ordered a couple "French toast" shots. The menu under Saturday said "2-4-1 shots" so I got excited. There was no disclaimer, no specific shots to choose from, nothing. Once we got the shots, it was presented with the server lighting them on fire, sprinkling cinnamon on them to make it sparkle like sparklers, and blew them out. Pretty neat. Once I actually consumed it, it was delicioussss. Ordered and ate the appetizer sampler which consisted of potato skins, mozzarella sticks, southwest egg rolls, and chicken fingers. It was all OK. Very fried, but wasn't the best. Once I got my bill, it was $63. WHATTT?!?! They charged me $7 each for three shots?! When I asked about it, the 2-4-1 shots were specific ones they had for that special. What a load of crap. It didn't say that in the menu. I guess it sounded too good to be true. I say, false advertisement! It was $8 per Yuegling pitcher which is pricey too for a college bar. .I'd rather spend my $73 on some place nice. Like the Ravenous Pig or Cask & Lader. Not a crappy college bar, with subpar serving. Not. Happy. I was complaining all way home. I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUEEEEE. Devanneys is a place where you can go and not worry about the hustle and bustle of life. People from every sect of life come here to relax, watch sports, and get crunk. I've come in here strait from formal occasions and dirty from doing lawn work. Nobody bats an eye. Probably the most surprising thing about this place is the food. For a bar, the food is great. Also, I should note that this is a Dolphins bar with plenty or memorabilia scattered around the joint. They also do raffles during the game which get wild! read more

Ahhh Devaney's has been disappointing me the last 2 times. I started going here at the beginning of March 2019 just because I wanted a place with good wings and good beers and a locals favorite. At the beginning I was hooked. Wings were wet and spot on with the flavors. Their Habanero bbq and their buffalo chicken wrap got me hooked on going to this place. Definitely very low key, Super chill bar with tons of specials and definitely tons of pride for their community. In August I had placed a catering order for my partner's birthday party. I ordered 50 wings total with different flavors. My partner, like I, is obsessed with their spicy wings. And she was the one that got me into their "extra hot garlic" wings. After picking up the catering order that's when Devayne's started to let me down. They got my order wrong... 1. 20 of my wings were the extra hot garlic and the garlic was missing. 2. The wings were lacking sauce: they were dry. 3. I was expecting that for that amount of wings I would get a little more celery. Nope, just a handful. I might have had some fault in this for not checking my order in front of them before leaving. After that experience I stopped going. Recently (October) I decided to give them a 2nd change and order some food to go. Ordered same thing, habanero bbq wings and "extra hot garlic" wings and mozzarella sticks. I did the same mistake of just paying for my food and leave without checking. Again, the garlic was missing on my wings and they barely had sauce. When I started visiting them I didn't have to specify I wanted them wet because they were so spot on the first time. But I guess I'll have to if I ever go back. read more

3 stars because the ladies working on Wednesday nights are great and Simon's trivia show at 10 is really fun. The darts used to be entertaining, but I've found free darts elsewhere that I play now. And by play I mean try to not break windows. There are no windows near the dart boards at Devaney's, so +1 for that. Overall, it's pretty straightforward, what you see is what you get. Clean but dingy, slightly scrappy without being dangerous, and a good place for Miami Dolphins fans to go. Some food items are better than others, but it's all about average. They have some good beers rotate in on draft, but I noticed that some of the draft beers tasted way different here than at other spots. Not sure if that means anything, but I noticed that these taste a little sweeter... I try to stick with IPAs now for that reason. It is a smoking bar, which doesn't work well for my lungs, and I'll probably only be in periodically from time to time. Interesting place, good for a dive if that's what you're looking for, fun trivia and events. read more

Honestly, this is the kind of place it's a bit hard to get impressed over. It's my understanding they've changed owners, so a lot of stuff may still be in transition. I can only speak to my experience. We went up for Trivia night. The place is decorated in sports gear, and the walls are covered with TVs playing sports, as well as jerseys in plastic bags for sale, which seems a bit weird. Kind of felt a bit like I was in a laundromat with all the clothes in plastic bags hanging everywhere. There's a spot in back where I guess there used to be video games, but now is completely empty. It's a large chunk of their space, with no tables, no chairs, no pool tables, no video games, just a big empty space. Not sure what to make of that. The trivia night was an Earth trivia night. I'm a fan. It was hosted by Dirty Di. I'm NOT a fan. She's got a filthy mouth, a self-aggrandizing attitude and she's completely narcissistic, and her PA system sucks and hurts your ears. I didn't try the food, so I won't comment. The beer selection is mediocre at best. This is a place where most people order a pitcher of beer for themselves, not a pint. When the pitchers of "domestics" are $3.75 I guess that makes sense. I like beer with flavor that isn't served in a plastic tub. The mixed drinks are pretty strong, and the shots are about half of a tall-boy glass, so you can definitely get your drink on here for cheap. I guess the place is what it is. It's a sports bar that caters to a lot of Full Sail and UCF students (it's roughly between them on University) with thin wallets and a taste for cheap drinks. FYI, they are now full smoking, after 9pm. Before that they're non-smoking. At least that's what I was told. Not really my thing, but I do see the appeal for their target audience. read more

Devaney's is a bar with character. It has an identity, it doesn't apologize for it, and it sticks with it. It's a relatively relaxed bar with karaoke on select nights, offering an eclectic mix of people: from college students to working class folk and even the occasional senior. It's eclectic mix could be due to the fact that it serves people on several levels: the booze are cheap, the entertainment factor is there, the bar food is decent, and the employees are fairly easy-going and friendly. On a weekend night, expect this original Devaney's to be more packed than the Devaney's II a few doors down. I personally enjoy week nights at this place more than weekends because it's not as crazy in there. read more

This Irish pub has quality bar food (try the homemade chips) along with an event almost every night (karaoke, dirty bingo, trivia). During the day is a dark bar with the elders. Night comes alive, if you're a regular.. As a bar review, A+ on service, A on food, C- on atmosphere and crowd. I went to Devaney's for the first time. I've heard mixed things about the place, I had a friend who raved about it, than I heard poor things from other people. So I went with that friend (& with some others & my girlfriend). At first I didn't like the place, it reeked of cigarette smoke, (which was a major no for me, because I don't smoke or even like the smell). The presentation was very nice, had a lot of t.v's, playing sports on those t.v's too, a lot of Miami dolphin jerseys (which must mean the owner is a dolphin fan). Defiantly a good atmosphere for sports fans. Plus we went on karaoke night, which made the trip a lot more fun. The service was nice, I have nothing bad to say about that. The beer selection was very good, I actually had trouble on which beer I should select. The prices were good, not to expensive. However, the food I was not very fond of. I ordered 10 wings, which were okay. Then I ordered the loaded potato skins which were not good at all. They had a weird smell and after taste. Overall, the place was average, not great but not bad either. This place defiantly won't be my go to place, but I'll have to try it again. read more

Devaney's is a pub geared mainly to the college student with cheap drinks, a laid back atmosphere and plenty of room to hang, dance or goof off. This place has been for a long time and will probably be around for years or even decades to come because college kids keep flocking to it for their week night hang out, greek socials or simply to unwind and grab a drink not only because it's cheap but also because it's so close to campus...just a cab ride away for most. The decor, inside and outside, is typical of most bars with wooden tables and chairs, pool tables, dart boards and a full service bar. There is clearly nothing posh, upscale or modern about this place. However, I will say it does have character and most students who attend UCF have a funny story about something that happened here. Everyone who's anyone know about Devaney's and has been there at least a dozen times. They offer different drink specials most nights of the week and even have karaoke to indulge in and make a fool of yourself when you're nice and toasted. Most of the people who work here are also college students trying to get buy...which usually means they're more concerned about catering to those they know or think are hot than those who are waiting for a drink. This can get very frustrating, but the only to deal with it is leave and never come back. Personally, I'm beyond the age of going to dive bars to get wasted, which is why you won't find me here. However, in my early college years all you had to do was the say the words. read more

First time there today. I went to watch part of the USA/Canada hockey game. It wasn't busy, but I just sat at the bar. Probably my fault for sitting there. The bartender came over (I'll leave her name out because she was nice other than the following incident) and asked me what I wanted. I was sitting right in front of a row of taps, and asked her about one of the beers. She offered a taste, which I accepted. When she pulled the tap handle, she had the taster glass held in such a way that it cause it to shoot the beer right back at me, pretty well wetting my head, and my iPhone. She apologized, and I mopped up with bar napkins. I ordered food which was very good, actually, and then got the check. No offer to buy my beer or discount anything. She said she hoped she'd see me back there. I told her that I worked in the bar industry and that would have never flown in my bar. If you spill on a customer, you buy them a drink. Or their meal. Something. It's not like I spilled and caused the distress. I've even comped drinks for people that have done that. But if I'd ever done, or seen someone do, the same thing, it would have been immediately rectified. No more trips to Devaneys. I don't care for Friendly Confines, but I'll take it over bad service. read more

Here we have your typical sports bar; Beer, Booze, Tv's . It is super run of the mill and obviously survives on neighborhood regulars. There is a mixture of grandma's and grandpa's by day and I hear rappers and drugs dealers by night. There are far better sports bars in Orlando. They have regular specials and often live music, karaoke, or some kind of bar game. The service is quick and prices are very reasonable. Going on the weekend, you'll find it pretty busy.
