We always have to get the Tailgator for the table, which comes with onion rings, chips, queso, mozzarella sticks, tater tots, and cubbie claws. They have lots of vegetarian options on the menu as well. Their ranch is homemade and really good. The food here is greasy and not the best, but it's the type of bar food perfect for watching sports. The Brownie Pie is a must-get for dessert, I dream about it. One thing about this spot is the service is always slow. It takes forever for a server to come to your table, and it's really hard to get drink refills. Some tables also don't have good views of the TVs around the bar, so if you arrive late to a popular game you might be out of luck. We only tried the Irish nachos but they were some pretty tasty bar food - kettle cooked chips, a light queso, fresh jalapeños, onion, beef, tomatoes, salsa and sour cream. It was a hearty portion and didn't taste like the cheap canned ingredients you get with a lot of nachos- everything was fresh. Our bartender, Ashley, was super sweet and always attentive, even as the sole bartender this afternoon. I went here for a University of Michigan tailgate and really loved the atmosphere and people here! First and foremost, any time I get to be around university of Michigan fans who live in Florida is a plus for me. It's hard enough to get anyone to play the Michigan game, but to have it on the loud speaker and a group of people watching, was great! The food was okay, but for a dive bar you can't expect gourmet 5 star food. The beer was cheap and football was on which is stellar enough for me:) April and Jordan our two waitresses were very nice and were able to handle a large group of us which was nice. Friendly Confines has been around for quite a few decades. The first one I found was in Waterford Lakes Town Center, but that location closed years ago. Maybe it was even more than a decade ago (and I think it may have closed over ten years ago). Anyway, this place still remains. The business name comes from the term Friendly Confines as a reference to Chicago's Wrigley Field. So, the ambiance of this bar is geared towards Chicago and its sports teams. I did not have the food here, I was just here with a few friends for a drink. It was an overall positive experience and I would recommend here if you are in the area. This location is by Aloma and Semoran. Also, I think this is the only Friendly Confines location left. Overall, I will give Friendly Confines an overall rating of five stars. read more

I have been here several times and have had great service. However, tonight when I was here I was not served at all. I had to sit at the bar for 10 minutes instead of a server coming to our table. The restaurant was completely empty on a Friday night, with more than 6 servers on the floor, it was very surprising that one did not come to our table within the 2 hours that we were here. The worst part was that the manager was laughing with servers at a table in the back of the restaurant, but fearful to address any situation or concern that a paying costumer had. I had been to confines when there was a location in Waterford and it was good but not great. This experience was much better! My sister-in-law and I arrived way after others of our party had been there and eaten but she didn't even hesitate to help us. Our food came out very quickly and was all correct. I was highly impressed. We both ordered the Cubbie Claws Platter. This is a great deal! You get their cubbie claws tossed in your choice of sauce and two sides. I ordered the chicken tossed in hot buffalo sauce with French fries and a house salad as my sides. It was soooo good! And I made it a buffalo chicken salad because the salad was a bigger portion than I anticipated. Overall, it was a great meal and great service.
