Great little townie bar. Everyone is super friendly, plenty of room with all the TVs you can dream of, and FANTASTIC beer pricing with a great selection. We only tried the Irish nachos but they were some pretty tasty bar food - kettle cooked chips, a light queso, fresh jalapeños, onion, beef, tomatoes, salsa and sour cream. It was a hearty portion and didn't taste like the cheap canned ingredients you get with a lot of nachos- everything was fresh. Our bartender, Ashley, was super sweet and always attentive, even as the sole bartender this afternoon. I went here for a University of Michigan tailgate and really loved the atmosphere and people here! First and foremost, any time I get to be around university of Michigan fans who live in Florida is a plus for me. It's hard enough to get anyone to play the Michigan game, but to have it on the loud speaker and a group of people watching, was great! The food was okay, but for a dive bar you can't expect gourmet 5 star food. The beer was cheap and football was on which is stellar enough for me:) April and Jordan our two waitresses were very nice and were able to handle a large group of us which was nice. Friendly Confines has been around for quite a few decades. The first one I found was in Waterford Lakes Town Center, but that location closed years ago. Maybe it was even more than a decade ago (and I think it may have closed over ten years ago). Anyway, this place still remains. The business name comes from the term Friendly Confines as a reference to Chicago's Wrigley Field. So, the ambiance of this bar is geared towards Chicago and its sports teams. I did not have the food here, I was just here with a few friends for a drink. It was an overall positive experience and I would recommend here if you are in the area. This location is by Aloma and Semoran. Also, I think this is the only Friendly Confines location left. Overall, I will give Friendly Confines an overall rating of five stars. read more

Aaron has never been particularly nice but I've always just written it off as a bad night or something of the sort. Been here twice and while their wings are crispy and smell AMAZING the flavor is really lacking. We've tried 6 sauce flavors so far and for some reason the flavor just isn't there. I had been to confines when there was a location in Waterford and it was good but not great. This experience was much better! I ordered the chicken tossed in hot buffalo sauce with French fries and a house salad as my sides. It was soooo good! I have been here several times and have had great service. However, tonight when I was here I was not served at all. I had to sit at the bar for 10 minutes instead of a server coming to our table. I was unable to order anything unless I walked up to a server and requested a menu item be placed. The restaurant was completely empty on a Friday night, with more than 6 servers on the floor, it was very surprising that one did not come to our table within the 2 hours that we were here. The worst part was that the manager was laughing with servers at a table in the back of the restaurant, but fearful to address any situation or concern that a paying costumer had. I really miss when they had a Friendly Confines in Waterford Lakes! PLEASE BRING ONE BACK! I personally absolutely love the Buffalo chicken wrap breaded along with waffle fries. I love that my food came out fast and piping hot like myself! :) I felt like the wrap in the past use to be bigger but it is still a good portion size. I do think the outside and inside could use some remodeling , it does appear a bit old, perhaps this is an older location. read more
