As with most bars, the staff has consistently changed since my last review. But my feelings of this local bar and eatery remain the same. Aside from some of the most affordable drinks, beer and cocktails in the neighborhood, the meals here are actually very good...the chicken quesadilla is top-notch, the sandwiches and burgers are delicious and don't forget to try their award-winning wings. The lemon pepper dry-rub is a personal favorite. But overall, the vibe here is upbeat, the staff is friendly, the company even better and not at all the homophobic reputation I originally heard this bar had. In fact, I've had the most opposite experience at this fun local bar in the middle-of-nowhere Altamonte Springs. We swung by here on a whim, mainly for the balcony seating that we'd heard about. Cheers feels like a hidden gem so close to home! We did try any food (yet), but you could smell it and it's going to make me come back! Drinks were substantially poured with fair prices - apparently, Sunday is Ladies Night with $2 doubles?! Great location and view from the back patio. Karaoke is underwhelming. Bartenders were nice but appear to get caught up in fraternization and shot taking as opposed to ongoing prompt service. I called in advance to see if they were showing UFC and they were. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this meant they would be showing it on only one of their many televisions. This resulted in a large, standing congregation of people crowded at one table and the obstruction of view for height challenged guess. There is lots of room for improvement. read more

w went to Cheers a few times and had fun on the Saturday night karaoki. then one night we were there and my husband was what they called "drunk". They continued to serve us and at No time did they say anything was wrong. The next time we went in the bar manager said they wouldn't serve my husband. We were told that my husband acted belligerent and was out of control. the issue I have is why did you continue to take my money and not make us aware of your issues with him while it was happening? we apologized another time and we're told everything was okay and again they accepted our money while my husband nursed a glass of water and one shot. we went back tonight and were told again that they wouldn't serve him and I was told it was because he acted up after the apology. i do not like the service because I sat with my husband and know he did not act up at all and don't appreciate how our party of 10 people were treated. they libeled my husband and at No point did he raise his voice in anger or act up. read more

I ordered delivery from this restaurant last night. You could tell that everything was originally frozen, perhaps even store bought. The "Pepperoni Pizza Roles" were nothing more than Totino's Pizza Rolls that were possibly deep fried. The mozzarella sticks were pretty cold, and the cheese inside was nothing more than a block, similar to what you find with frozen mozzarella sticks. The best part of our order was the pretzel stick appetizer, but the cheese was pretty mediocre. Really wish we could have gotten fresh food, rather than frozen/reheated stuff. :( read more

I have been here many times before on late nights, but never came here for a meal. Stopped by this past Sunday to watch football. The game was on a big projector right in front of the pool tables. Shannon was a great bar tender as always. She was the single bartender holding down the fort and I never waited more than 2 minutes for a drink. She tells it like it is and she said pretty much all the food there is good stuff. On her recommendation I went with the Cheesesteak which was cooked perfectly. The bread was slightly toasted and it came with provolone, peppers, and onions. It had a great balance of meat, to cheese to condiments. It was one of the best Cheeesteaks I have had in the area. Not too greasy, or falling apart from being overstuffed. It hit the spot! I took the $1 upgrade from chips to fries and they were worth it. They were seasoned fries and very crispy with out being overcooked. For and additional side I went with fried pickles. The pickles were pretty good and the breading had a great crunch to it. I love a bar with Guinness on tap and they have that and a nice beer selection along with a decently stocked bar. Around 4 pm the staff came around and gave everyone around the bar a choice of free shots. That is how you take care of your crowd on a football Sunday. Kudos to the staff and ownership. I was very fun to be able to play pool while I watched the game. Not a fan of the indoor smoking, but the new faces I met made up for it. This is a perfect place to stop when your in the mood to play some pool, throw some darts, or just have a few drinks with some quality pub food. Nothing fancy about the place. It is as unpretentious as the clientele and that is what makes it a favorite place in the area for many people I know. I've come here on and off for the past 10 years, but just recently came back for a visit after almost a five-year break. No surprise, but nobody "knew my name". I've only been to this location a handful of times, and haven't been since a friend of mine moved out of the adjacent apartment complex, but I'd like to check it out again sometime soon. Worth a shot if you're close-by and want to stop in for a drink, especially if Melinda's correct about domestic drafts being $1!!! At the Cheers in Longwood, I think they're $2.25. However, as a smoker, I was very pleased with the food, the service, the prices, and the staff was very accommodating when I asked for a game to be turned on the TV closest to us. The prices and pours are amazing. I love this place and I love the staff. They go above and beyond. It is a great friendly neighborhood bar, easy to become a regular. The owners treat you like family. They have lots of drink specials. Great place to watch a game, listen to some music on the jukebox, or just hang with friends. The wings are delicious! I had the 15 traditional wings ; teriyaki and Caribbean , I don't know why but I was surprised at how tasty they were. If you absolutely cannot be around 2nd hand smoke (no one should) it's not the place for you; however, there is an outdoor area in the back and I was able to breathe. Everybody does know my name ( this won't happen the 1st time you go) The staff is AMAZING!! SteveO is probably the funniest most entertaining person who has ever poured me a drink. Jamie is another great tender of the bar, so sweet and customer service driven. I could name everyone and write about why they ROCK!! But I'm kind of lazy, so we'll just go with the 2 that worked the last time I was in there. Honestly I could write a lot more about this place but all in all I go here for Customer service.. You always are least greeted within the first few seconds of sitting down. Your drink will never go empty and the people who work here really have passion.. And they have the best SPECIALS.. I've been here more times than I care to admit for karaoke (which they do every Saturday). The drink specials here are always great, with $1 drinks on some nights, even on weekends. Even without specials, their prices are quite good. The staff remembers your name when you come in, which is always nice to have. Drinks are mixed well. Food here is excellent for bar food, my favorite being the potato skins. It's a typical sports bar, that being said... Ordered the sampler platter which was all clearly frozen and from a bag. (Mozz sticks, egg rolls, chicken tenders zucchini sticks, French fries& egg rolls) egg rolls clearly had freezer burn, and the fried zucchini was so bland it tasted like nothing. sports bar beer selection. Cheer is a fun local bar! It is walking distance from my house. They have hospitality specials, which I greatly appreciate! Also, on Saturdays they have Karoake, very fun. I enjoy the back porch. This is the first time I went there with 4 other people and the worst ecperience any of us ever had. The place was not busy at all. Two of us ordered the exact same food and 2 other order wingless wings. One person was given their sandwich. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked where the other sandwich and wings were. After about another 10 minutes, we all received orders. Notice I did not say that we all received our orders. The wings were messed up as to count and spice. When it got ready to pay, a few of us were going to pay case. My bill was like $21.35 so I gave the server $40.00, he asked if I wanted change, and I said yes. I am not rich enough to give him almost a 100% tip and if I were I would go someplace else. After waiting and waiting, I had to go up to the bar and ask for my change, which was already in the tip jar. I feel like I discriminated against, maybe because I am female. I had to wait and in fact ask for the exact same sandwich that a male got and I feel as if the server tried to steal from me. There could not have been any misunderstanding. The 5 of will never go back there again and will go back to Kiwis.. We were just looking for something different, and man was it different -- never again and would not recommend to anyone.
