I want to be an organized person. I aspire to be the kind of person with little, colorful boxes for everything and everything in its place. I'm not there by a long-shot, but I'm trying. My husband and I are in the middle of the task of turning a home office into a home office/baby nursery, and we needed some organization supplies STAT! $130 later I am making good progress and I love where the room is heading. I am sure to be returning in the next month or so buy more helpful (and cute!) items to help get this room into shape! read more

Love the Container Store. Not cheap, but tons of great storage and organizational solutions. The staff at this location is friendly and generally helpful. Lines can get long and checkout is often slow. read more

Change your hours of operation so it matches what's listed on the Internet or Yelp. Store doesn't open until 10a

Save yourself the aggravation and go to Target. The lines are long, they didn't have half of the things I needed in inventory. And it was going to take 15 minutes just to talk to someone about a closet organizer. Miserable experience. read more

Super helpful / personable sales people. I came in for a water bottle and was immediately escorted to my pursuit. I took a few minutes to peruse the store and saw way too many things that I never knew I needed. A great spot for first apartments or college dorms or kids rooms. If you've got a space that you are trying to organize efficiently, give this place a shot. I know I will. read more

Super friendly service and quite the variety of "containers" :o) I came in to find some boxes adn they were there nice and cheap! Can't complain. read more

Giving 1 star because I have too. They do not honor their return policy. Was told to call corporate office to try and get better answer. The manager called them first and told them not to honor any return policy. Now I'm stuck with a crappy product. Will never purchase from them ever again. Total rip off!!!!!! read more

Shoutout to Marilyn and Hector for what would have otherwise been a dreadful shopping experience. My beau and I went to The Container Store because we had received a 20% off coupon for our move to Southern California and we've found ourself with more things than places to put them. TCS was exceptionally busy for a Friday night and after finding items that we liked (Elfa shelfing) we weren't able to find anyone to assist us with pulling the items from the floor. It seemed like all of the associates were helping other couples with bigger purchases and we went unnoticed. I was about to give up when my boyfriend encouraged me to go speak to the register, which is where I met Marilyn. Marilyn radioed back to the associates who were all busy, but then Hector volunteered to come off of his break a minute or two early to help us pull the shelving we liked. Hector spent time with us making sure we had the right size and Marilyn rang us up after we were done. Because of this dynamic duo we'll certainly be back to this specific store. Thank you, guys! read more

What has happened to The Container Store? This is the second Container Store i have been in lately. I use to find my zen moment when I would go to these stores. Now, not so much.... it was disorganized, messy, shelves not stocked, product from other areas dropped on shelves & trash on the floors. The only sales people were at the registers and in their high end closet section. I remember there use to be helpful folks all over the store. Now you have to try and help yourself. I can't image that this company will last much longer like this. The other store I visited in Century City was just as bad. This company must be hurting and having to cut back on sales people and able to keep the store neat looking. They are starting to look like Bed Bath and Beyond on a holiday Saturday. How do you sell organization if you aren't organized? read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This is a happy place for all people suffering from OCD or someone that just loves to organize--like I do! I love cleaning and organizing. That's what I'm about :) I threw out mine and my husband's shoe boxes and replaced them with clear shoe box containers. *angelic noise* My closet is now neat and organized! This place is amazing! They've got containers for containers! Containers ranges from the kitchen to the bathroom to the closet to the living room! This store is on the expensive side, so I'd only go here for containers that I won't be able to find at a cheaper place like Walmart or Ikea or something. What's even more amazing is that it's located next to a Home Goods, so I can just walk there to do more shopping! I love it! read more

I love the container store! It makes me want to organize every inch of my house! I always find what I need to help me get organized. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They have a ton of fun little items near the register that make great stocking stuffers! Plus they sell all kinds of gift wrap, gift boxes and gift bags, especially around the holidays! read more

Love Love LOVE their wrapping paper selection. I dont love paying $10 a roll, but I'll slurge once and awhile for an awesome print. They have that. read more

This store is very addicting. It makes me want to organize everything in my home. I needed shelving for my closet and was able to find what I needed with relative ease. read more

Best shopping experience I have had in years. Went in the other day to return a couple items, but the staff was so friendly and helpful that I ended up making several purchases as well. Staff took the time to ask about my need and then checked several different products in the store and recommended the ones that would work best. I was having so much fun, I had to peel myself out of the store. I look forward to my next trip! read more

What can you really say about The Container Store? It's an organized person's idea of heaven! So many clever and useful items to buy to keep your home, car and other areas in order. Some things can be quite pricey... But shopping during sales helps. I like to do a big haul once or twice a year. Come with your project ideas in hand or you might be overwhelmed by all the things you see! read more

Catie was really great and very helpful with our return and design of the new closet space for my new place. I had a really bad experience with Ed and he was really rude but Juan stepped in and helped us with our return. Usually most people are really nice at the Container Stores. I would give it 5 stars but because of the bad experience with Ed, I deducted a star. If you really want to be sure to get a great experience when you're here then look for Catie and Juan. read more

I love this place! For an organized person like myself, it's a dream come true. The customer service is great and they had a beautiful Christmas wrapping "section" this year. Thank you! read more

Had to write to say that Mark the Elfa designer is amazing! He was kind, knowledgeable, and didn't try to up-sell me. He knows his stuff! Highly recommend this designer and the store itself. Can't wait to use my Elfa product! read more

This is a huge Container Store! Very well organized (which I guess is the point of them even existing!). Was able to find a desk organizer as a gift within five minutes. Friendly, quick, and attentive staff. Parking is excellent at this location. read more

Extremely helpful and great people at The Container Store. I was in this El Segundo store recently with my elderly mother. I asked a clerk, who might have been the manager, if the music could be turned down. She smiled and said, "Of course!" and promptly turned down the volume. Some aisles were in disarray, I believe because they are reorganizing the merchandise, nonetheless, staff worked around it and went out of their way to help me find various items I was looking for or hoping the store might have. read more

I LOVE the Container Store! They have such great stuff and good stock. I have a small business and both my husband and I are collectors.....lots of great stuff to help you keep organized. Reasonable prices. Not as cheap as Ikea, but quality stuff. read more

the wife and i recently decided to upgrade our closets, so, a trip to the Container Store was in order. well, several trips. with measurements in hand, we spoke to the designer/associate that specializes in the Elfa products. they came up w/ some nifty designs that would suit our needs. we ordered the parts, picked them up and installed them w/ ease! well, there was some grumbling and swearing along the way. putting the system together is easy in theory but takes some getting used to. anyway, i had to come back bc one of the brackets was cut too long. not sure if it was our mistake or theirs. in any case, they remedied it w/in 5 mins. this store is nice and clean, fairly new and the service is pretty solid. read more

In lieu of drowning in the hazards of big box store homogeneity, It was breathtaking to the peruse what emerged as a carefully curated, well-lit, and modestly-scaled space. It was actually dumbfounding to discover that the Container Store proposed the opposite: high quality and unexpected products, high-value prices, thoughtful display, and exceedingly good customer service. I asked the woman at the register if she liked working at the Container Store to which she said she did. These are the little things that make up a great operation and I could experience the thoughtful-ness running through the place. Personally, I was looking for a laundry hanging rack and walked out with one that mounts to the wall and folds up as compact as a three-ring hole punch. All in all, this is not just a place to find what you need but discover a whole world of truly interesting products to take your organization up to another level of streamlined sophistication read more

I LOVE The Container Store! Went to the El Segundo store to purchase some elfa accessories, but couldn't find what I was looking for. The employee said the items were in the back and went to get them for me. I was also going to purchase the wrong size butcher block top for my drawer unit, and she mentioned that it was too big and got me the right size. I'm so glad she helped me out! Customer service is awesome! read more

I absolutely love this place, not the pricing...it fulfills all of my OCD needs.

Love it. The Staff is amazing. They are lovely and kind and work very hard to make sure that everybody who comes in has an enjoyable and productive time. read more

The container store gave me my sanity back. My closet was a big mess until it met the Elfa. My closet and I thank you. This time I was in looking for "travel" supplies. The customer service I received from one of the employees Marilyn was outstanding! She helped me find things I didn't think about. I'm definitely going to be sure to ask for her for all my future purchases. read more

I really liked this location (compared to the one in Santa Monica) and looks like they have a better selection/layout of items. The employees were really friendly so it made for a pleasant experience. I was asked by two employees if I needed help. I declined but they were easy to spot if I changed my mind. The cashier was very cheerful and reassuring (about the return policy). I also heard one of the male employees asking to help someone out to their car (not in a "I'm forced to ask this" but in a "I genuinely want to help you" way lol). If you go on their website, they describe themselves as having an "employee first, yummy culture" (as opposed to the more common "customers first" philosophy). It kind of reminded me of today's store experience. They had a little kids table for them to draw on in the back so thumbs up. There was also a stand with a few of the CEO'S favorite books - which included Conscious Capitalism (not a surprise if you know the company philosophy) so another thumbs up. Some of the items are unnecessarily more expensive than other places. So, unless you're shopping on a whim, I would put some thought into what you want to buy here. It's not hard to convince yourself you need everything in the store lol. I ended up buying 3-4 things I needed, and took a few pictures of things I wanted so I could go home and think about it. Overall, love the concept of the container store! read more

Love this place! The staff is very helpful and friendly. You feel like your walking into a taping of a live commercial. I was looking for a file container to store personal files. I did not want anything plastic or paper, and I found a nice canvas container very decorative and pretty. It was the perfect size. This store has any and everything that you can imagine to store things. I was completely satisfied. Prices are great and they have a great selection. well worth it! read more

Walked into the Container Store for the first time with my child and expected to do the whole self service thing that we all do when shopping at Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Kohl's. A friendly woman with a gray and silver highlighted bob hairstyle helped me from start to finish. I was so surprised at the level of customer service and her patience + accommodating disposition. It is a real treat to have a knowledgeable employee help you find exactly what you need as well as suggest other items that will make your life easier and more efficient in terms of storage and organization. I will definitely recommend this employee when any of my friends or family members are going to visit the Container Store. She is an asset to her company, and very kind to boot. Good customer service makes all the difference in the world. read more

I really like this store and some of the stuff is actually unique and pretty cool. But how much money will a guy spend organizing my closet? It's way too pricey for me!!!! read more

I found an item on-line that I wanted to purchase. I went to the store which is very close to where I live in Manhattan Beach. Very few customer service people to help you navigate the huge store. I asked at least four people there and they were with other customers. This was during the week in the afternoon. Who knows what it would be like on weekends. To her credit, one of the people told me where to find my item. But it was not there so I wandered around for awhile. She saw me and asked if I had found what I wanted and I told her I had not. So she directed me to a different area and there it was. If you have to purchase an item here, you need lots of patience. But they do have a wonderful selection of stuff. read more

Best sales people I have ever seen in a long time (America needs to bring back individual-to-individual customer service; the old neighborhood hardware store concept). Fantastically trained staff and employees. These people are customer service focused and really takes it to the next level thanks to their "knowledge". Surely everyone at a store is trained to help a customer but it's different when the employees are knowledgable and having them takes the shopping experience to a different level. My shelf designer was exceptionally experienced and I was just lucky getting a good sales lady but actually everyone in the store was exceptionally experiened. When I went back she was not there and an equally competent and professional person was there to assist (top down some of the best trained employees I have ever seen). Fantastic experience. Better than Bed Baths & Beyond in terms of quality. They blew me away on my first, second, third and fourth trip. There is a third and fourth trip because I enjoyed the shopping experience. This is no IKEA; where you feel the agony just thinking about going there for a return or exchange. I had to exchange a few items and it was quick! read more

Decided to take my best friend out to el segundo to check out any cool stores and we saw the big sign for the container store. We literally passed it and drove an extra fifteen minutes out of the way to get back to the store. We saw they closed at9 and it was 8:50 so we hurried to run in to just look around so we could come back next week. I work in customer service so I was appalled at this next thing. We walked in all excited and the blonde older looking girl with glasses i believe working 3/5 at 8:50 instantly yelled at us saying were closed and I'm like you close at 9 that means your open for business till nine and I wouldn't think a company would turn away a potential big sale. But again I work in customer service and I wouldn't have stayed any longer than the princess could handle I just wanted to do a quick scan to see what they had since I needed something for my workplace...... I understand the company may be very nice but managers need to keep watch of who they hires work ethic. The employees are what give you a reputation. She could have said BTW we are closing in ten minutes with a smile but no.......... read more

Overpriced..that's all I can really say about this place. You could go to target or big lots and get the same exact thing for half the price. I was actually surprised to see as many people in there as I did! I would never buy anything from that overpriced store ! read more

Every tine I come to this store there is one person working the register and a long line. Plus about ten employees on the floor. It sucks.

Mason was particularly thoughtful and efficient as he carried my large purchase item out to the car. In the time it took to move a few items from my trunk to the back seat and put the large item in the trunk, he also helped to name my car...something I had neglected to do since I purchased it in 2015. All of that in 2 minutes and with a smile. Thanks, Mason! Container store has definitely over-delivered. I'll be back! read more
