He went (ab&b) above and beyond, and eplained his design services with a level of detail and clarity that Stevie Wonder & Hellen Keller would have been proud of! Did I mention that Nathan is avable to travel to your residence to lend his expertise? My sister went ahead and set up the appointment, and just like that the pending renedevous with Nathan at her residence was set. An A-1 experince to be sure. read more

I hate to leave this review for a STORE (which I'm leaving on every store page, and then also reporting as a complaint to the BBB), but the online platform and customer service has been particularly negative. We ordered a set of outdoor furniture to be delivered July 19th and chose a set specifically for the in-stock status as we need it for an event on the 25th. Today is that day. They are now saying it won't be ready until the 28th. When I reached out to customer service, they stated that there was one item (a rug) that was not in stock yet, so they'd be holding the WHOLE order until then to avoid a double-delivery, or, if we wanted, WE could eat a second delivery fee, which is insane to expect of us. I requested that they delivery everything ready to us by the 24th, and they refused as its "our policy." So, to clarify, their "policy" is that if we provide you a delivery date that is inaccurate, we expect you to just deal with the consequences of a delay; therefore, when ordered from Crate & Barrel, you essentially cannot ever plan around a delivery date--not even within a week of that date, since we are being pushed 9 days out. So, be sure when using this company, you either a) plan nothing for a long period of time afterward that depends on that order's delivery, or b) do what we will be doing and use Wayfair or Pottery Barn (which is where we'll go from now on) because when things like this happen, they help facilitate solutions, not resolve it with "sorry, it's our policy." read more

We recently visited the store to browse for some pieces for our home, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. There was no greeting or acknowledgment, despite several sales associates seeing us enter and continuing their conversations among themselves. My children noticed Easter eggs displayed around the first floor, but no one mentioned them or engaged with us in any way. We spent some time upstairs reviewing items on our own, and again, there was no greeting or assistance offered. Two associates at a table continued chatting and did not acknowledge us. Before we headed down to leave, we did have one sales person approach us and offer some recommendations but we again were about to leave. We were on the escalator and passed a couple heading upstairs who we could hear were warmly greeted, which made the lack of interaction during our visit even more noticeable. While this may have been an off evening, the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome. We will be choosing to shop elsewhere. read more

Terrible service and pushy sales people. Every time my husband and I come here, we are bombarded by the associates trying to make a sale. They are so pushy that we can't even shop in peace. Even when we do have a question, they aren't knowledgeable enough to answer them...?? If you have a return, the staff will give you attitude about it...even if it was their fault in the first place. We came here looking for the Barazza ESP Encore and specifically stated we wanted the ESP version. There were two ladies we asked and they both could NOT figure it out. It was like the blind leading the blind. They were slow AND incapable. I saw that there was NO "ESP" on the package and said "no this isn't it. It states it's the regular Barazza Encore" and they just wouldn't believe me, insisted on checking the barcode numbers which they were incredibly slow at. Not to mention, it was indeed the incorrect product like I stated. Then they went to check in the back and said "good news we have the ESP!" Well we were also buying an espresso machine and did not realize they had brought us the regular Barazza encore (the WRONG ONE AGAIN!!) until we got home. We had to make another trip back just to return it due to their mistake and the sales associate had such a nasty attitude - asking us all manners of questions in a condescending tone and insinuating we used it when we literally bought the machine an hour ago. There was one Asian guy who was polite and attentive but gave us the space we needed without the constant obvious pressure of trying to push a sale. Whatever the incentive to sell or discourage returns is, please stop. Because I don't even want to set foot into this store due to the 5 out of 5 visits being negative experiences. read more

I have never once been greeted or assisted during any visits. On numerous occasions I have simply walked out without completing my intended purchase. Unfortunately I have come to expect this lack of customer service or social awareness when the employees are young adults. However it's infuriating when the staff here is of a "mature" demographic. On 9/6/2025, I purchased pillows. Lisa mistakenly charged my order under someone else's account, then refunded and recharged it correctly. That should have been the end of it. Instead, a month later I discovered two unauthorized charges on my credit card: $306.20 on 9/21/2025 and $306.21 on 10/01/2025. Clearly, my card was still linked to the other customer's account. When I called Crate & Barrel customer support, they confirmed the purchases were two lamps--but said they couldn't process a refund and sent me back to the store. At the store, Andre initially dismissed the issue and told me to dispute it with my credit card company. I explained the burden that would cause, and only then did he decide to investigate. He located the lamp orders and confirmed the name and address were not mine. He still questioned whether a family member made the purchase, which I again denied. Eventually, he involved Lisa, who admitted the new POS system caused the original error and contacted customer support. They escalated the case to the Executive Customer Care team, and I was told I would receive a follow-up. Andre, the general manager, even gave me his card. No one followed up. After a week of silence, I emailed Andre. He assured me someone would contact me. Two more weeks passed with no communication. When I emailed again, he claimed he would check with their executive resolution team and get back to me the next day. He never did. Whether this was incompetence or avoidance, the lack of accountability has been unacceptable. Because the store failed to resolve an issue entirely caused by their mistake, I was forced to dispute the charges with my credit card company anyway--exactly what I was trying to avoid. As a result, my card had to be canceled and replaced due to what they deemed fraudulent charges. read more

The moment I walked in, I did not feel welcomed. I walked around the store for over 20 minutes without being asked if I needed help finding the item I was looking for. As soon as I found my item and got in line, I had two boxes of cups in my arms. The cashier saw I was struggling, and another customer approached the line and took my spot while I was adjusting how I was carrying my boxes. A young gentleman who witnessed the incident took me to another register and said, "Sorry about that," and completed my transaction. I didn't get his name, but he was very sweet. I've been shopping here for years and the staff has always been pleasant enough but I went in on Saturday and I waited over 5 minutes to be checked out when there was no one in line. Two cashiers were behind the counter talking to themselves. Another cashier was training someone. They all saw me standing there but didn't offer to check me out or call someone to do it. Finally a woman came out and asked if I was being helped. When I told her no she apologized and told the two cashiers that there was a costumer waiting to be helped. I went to pick up part of my order, and I also had a return to process. The associate who helped me tried to initiate the return, but she said the system would not allow it for some reason, so she called the manager. I waited about 10-15 minutes before the manager finally came, and when he did, he was extremely rude and didn't make any effort to help or resolve the issue. He simply told me to contact customer service. Then, when I showed my pickup order, the system showed it as already picked up--even though I had not picked it up yet. This was very strange. The associate was kind and tried her best; she even grabbed a few flower stems to hand to me, but overall both the customer assistant and the manager at the Torrance location were very rude. This wasn't the first issue, either. In mid‑February, I went to pick up another order and only part of it had been packed. I had to go through customer service again to have the rest shipped. The manager response is "I don't know what happen between yesterday till now..." and would not allow an exchange or return. Insinuating we created the blemish? Come on. Customer Service is inadequate to say the least! I bought a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for my wife to celebrate our 15 year Wedding Anniversary in late 2024, which I know is not within the 1 month window for return, but I was not even asking for a return.. We obviously don't bake regularly, but decided to use it to make bread the night before Thanksgiving. Two of the three attachments (the ones we needed) clearly did not fit, and the two defective attachments were coated in a white covering and definitely not the same dimensions as the one that did fit without the coating. We tried calling KitchenAid directly, but after 2 hours on hold we decided to actually call the store that sold us this product (Go figure!). The Crate & Barrel Torrance customer service "Expert" insisted we were misinformed and that there was no way it would not fit. It was completely implausible for the attachment to fit given it's dimensions compared to the one that actually did fit. Since the "Expert" was so adamant they were correct, I packed up the box (while my wife was still on hold with KithenAid), and went directly to the store. Upon arriving at the store, I spoke with the sales clerk and let her know my conversation with the customer service "Expert" and would like to speak with them. She said she could assist, and after explaining my situation, she immediately insisted (like the "Expert") there was no way the attachments wouldn't fit, and she owns two of these for years, blah, blah, blah.. I then said okay, be my guest and try yourself. She then continues to break open the box and it's contents and rips the Styrofoam to get to the mixer/attachments. She tries the three attachments, and to her complete surprise and astonishment... the two white coated attachments didn't fit?!?! I asked her why she was so surprised and what the root cause could be, and her answer was.. "Must have been a glitch in the system"!! She had to call a manager. The manager, without knowing my transaction history immediately informed me there was no way to return the mixer since it has been so long. Shocked at her dismissive stance, I told the manager I wasn't looking to return, I just wanted the correct attachments. Oh, that's all you need? she replied?! I responded, yes! I came in here to simply ask why the two attachments didn't fit, only to be reprimanded by two of your employees, and then justified by them not being able to connect the attachments. Once confirming there was nothing they could do for me, they haphazardly put my mixer back into the box and left it in disarray. Very disappointed in the dismissive (I know everything) attitude from the "Expert", sales clerk, and Manager. Never going back! read more

We live in playa del rey but made the trek to Torrance for a platter we saw online. The salesperson insisted we instead get one in a box from the back which we were pleased by. However when we got home and opened the box the platter was damaged. We called Erika and told her the situation and she promised to call us back to help us arrange an exchange and she never did. We were then forced to drive back to Torrance only to deal with an incredibly rude woman named Nancy who first complained about Erika and then was annoyed that we insisted she open the box to ensure this platter was also not damaged. I love crate and barrel but the staffing here is horrible. I will just be ordering online from now on. read more

Every since they opened Crate & Barrel in the South Bay (many years ago), I stopped going to their location at the Grove in L.A. It's so much more convenient here and its outside of the mall on Hawthorne Blvd. And Carson St. Easy free parking and just walk in to the shop. Customer service here always been excellent and the staffs always go out their ways to get what I needed. Some prices are overpriced, but you got to smart shop and do your research and price comparison. I love their design and sometimes other places just don't have the style I want. They also do curbside pickup. Order online and you don't even have to walk in. Their hours are cut short since the pandemic started. Check store hours before going. Happy shopping! read more

We have been shopping at Crate & Barrel since we lived in Chicago many years ago. Big fans. We now live in the Palm Springs area, and NO CRATE & BARREL (sad), so we go to the store in Torrance when we visit our son. Bought a rug from Irene recently, and she was delightful, knowledgeable, very professional and helpful. When I called about our pick-up which needed to be delayed, she just took care of it, no hesitation and even a few shared laughs. The store is very lucky to have such an outstanding employee. I would give 0 if I can. Whoever answered my call there as a supervisor on 5/26, shame on you. We had a furniture delivery ordered for 5/26. It arrived with 3 helpers but they got a wrong part so they had to stop assembling it in the middle of the process. They said they just received whatever were given to them at the warehouse. He let me talk to the warehouse person and I asked what happened and if the correct part can be delivered on the same day. That person was rude, unprofessional, and just simply didn't know what's going on, and told the delivery guy now knowing she was on speaker, "Why did you put that guy on the phone?" I then called the store in Torrance. This female supervisor before 12pm on 5/26 said she would look into it and get back to me "soon." Today marks 8th day since then and she still hasn't call me back. Then I called the customer service, and spoke to a guy named "Jesus." He apologized, promised the refund of delivery fee, and said he would call me back either the same day or a day after. I told him the next day being the memorial day but he said "I work tomorrow so no problem." He hasn't called me back since then. I called them a few days ago, and spoke to someone other than Jesus, who has no idea why Jesus contacted me sooner but now the only available delivery date is 6/6! It could have been sooner if this Jesus guy contacted me when he said he would. In short, you pay almost $200 for delivery but will only be passed around without anyone being responsible, and no one will follow up with your delivery fuckups unless you call everywhere possible. This is more than disappointing and I am posting this to other social media platform soon to share my frustration, to say the least. read more

This place is my go to and I always have to be careful not to spend too much. First off, The staff is great and helpful. The store is really clean and you can always find what you need. The workers will even order for you online or request it from another store which is a plus. I enjoy all the Oxo items they have in stock, the Kitchen Aid accessories, and all the small necessities for the kitchen. This store is two story so if you are looking for items in the bedroom, living room, bathroom, and patio; definitely check out the 2nd floor. Crate & Barrel engages in deceptive advertising on their website, although in this case they recently changed (revised and updated) the specific misleading ads that sparked my purchase, which I suggested they do. Oh -- And of course they didn't admit their shady business practice. They also didn't honor the misleading offer as it was originally advertised on their website. Five business days later despite their pick-up and return of the merchandise, my credit card has not been credited. My card company advised that I dispute the charge. The Torrance store management staff offered little assistance throughout the ordeal and didn't return my calls or respond to emails. The online customer service staff were courteous and placating, agreeing the ad was misleading but offered no reasonable resolution. read more

I bought a couch March 3 and our sales rep told us it would be delivered within 8-12 weeks. We were expecting the couch to be delivered at the latest by the end of May. We have now received FOUR delay emails and they now expect our couch to be delivered in August (it will probably be delayed again). Our estimate was originally 8-12 weeks and now we're looking at a 24 week (or more) delivery period. Do not trust their wait and delivery times, I'm convinced they're misleading their customers at the point of sale in order to increase sales. They even reassured me of this delivery time at POS by sharing that they moved their production to Tracy, CA aka somewhat local and not overseas.I've complained multiple times and the company refuses to help. I would not recommend this company post pandemic and I will be canceling my CB credit card. Update- it's now been delayed till September. I will never support this company again! read more

Staff was extremely helpful here! I came for a rug and guess what, I left with a rug for a great price. Yes it's a very pricey store but we already knew that coming in. If you're looking to save money, do not come here. Everything is priced to show you're made of money. When we first walked into the store, we were greeted right away. One of the employees directed us in the direction we needed to go. We were looking for baby stuff and the section was upstairs. When we got to the baby section, we were extremely disappointed. It seemed like they put no effort into this section and had a couple items spread out. I didn't feel satisfied looking at their baby stuff and especially didn't feel inspired on any type of style. We actually didn't even buy anything from this section, due to how lame it turned out to be. We continued to walk around the store and came across a beautiful rug. I didn't even really need it, but it was on clearance and it was super nice so we bought it. It doesn't even match with our room but oh well. The employee rolled it up for us and put it in a big bag so that I could carry it out. Overall, experience was great and the only reason reason I can't give it five stars is for the lack of enthusiasm and selection in the baby section. Happy holidays! read more

Noel approached me and I am so lucky that she did - she was a wealth of knowledge, gave me time & space while still checking-in periodically in case I had questions, and helped me think through all my internal debates and pros/cons. Ultimately I bit the bullet and made my big purchase! Noel was so incredibly patient with me made me feel comfortable and assured. In total she spent over two hours with me on & off. This Crate & Barrel location is simply exceptional. It's easy to access and ample parking is available. I won't go too much about product selection other than saying it's awesome (but you probably already knew that). What I really want to gush about is the customer service here. Every staff member has been wonderful and this covers greetings, overall product assistance, and completing your in-store purchases. In an age where customer service is a woefully lost art, this location is a delightful oasis. I'd like to give a particular shout out to Yael and her manager on the floor (sorry- forgot his name!) as both went above and beyond to help correct an issue with a delivery. An unbelievably nice store with fantastic and friendly service. I was very impressed with the salespersons' knowledge of items in the store as well as very reasonable prices. I purchased an item that came in a very nondescript cardboard box. The sales staff offered to remove the items and use a gift box, or merely keep the original packaging and put it in a gift box. I elected the latter and it looks great for a friend's birthday. Sales staff not pushy. Just very helpful when one needs assistance. Outdoor parking by the store is easy and plentiful. Absolutely fantastic experience. I had some major issues with a Pottery Barn order and had been waiting over 3 months for a couch. I came into Crate and Barrel and was immediately assisted by Charlotte who was super kind and showed me my options. I ordered my couch on Sunday and had it delivered a week later. Charlotte also mailed me a copy of my detailed receipt with a copy of her card should I have any questions. I had a delivery window for my couch from 10:15am-12:15pm. They arrived early (which was amazing) and were in and out in 20 minutes. Super kind delivery team. They were so respectful of my place and made sure my couch was unpacked and exactly where I wanted it. We had an amazing experience with Crate & Barrel and decorating for our new apartment! We were paired with Michael from this location and he is just great. He knows the products, the care instructions, and was always available in person or phone when we needed his help. We probably switched our items (adding and removing) from our order 10+ times and he was always patient, helpful, and never made us feel like we were bothering him. In fact, he was always going the extra mile and even helped us add items from cb2 we found to our C&B shipment. Thanks Michael!!!! We did notice that there seemed to be an issue with the shipping process...we had to keep calling to confirm our shipment date after placing the order. Since every couch is backlogged we would call a week before "estimated delivery" to see if it was actually scheduled yet and they would then have to actually go into the system and "book" the delivery date. This happened with all items we ordered for shipping but once we figure out we needed to be proactive we were able to get all our items in a timely manner. Their movers were nice, took good care to bring in the items without hitting anything, and made sure to have us check for damages before leaving. Overall we're obsessed with C&B now and I want to buy everything there for my future housing needs. The quality of the items and the service of the staff is perfection! read more

Crate & Barrel is one of my favorite retail stores for home goods / housewares. I like CB2 as well, which has more novelty and designer type novelties n' necessities. The selection is always fun to shop around and look at if not buy for yourself or as the perfect gift for someone, as they have something for everyone including oddities for those you think has everything and needs nothing, you can probably find a niche item for a cool fun useful gift. I like the style of Crate & Barrel as well as the quality. It's chic like Ikea, but better quality. I'm also a fan of Restoration Hardware, so from that context you'll know I'm a visual window shopper who also buys things for future consideration and have a lot of stuff I've bought still in the original packaging unopened with every intention to eventually use, but haven't gotten around to using 'em or had the occasion or inspiration to break 'em out... but the beauty is they're accessible at my fingertips! It's a happy place to shop, look and touch everything in sight! Parking is easy, it's located outside of the Del Amo Mall on the same side as JoAnn's near Macy's. read more
