I had my custom sofa for almost 3 years now. The design process and delivery was very easy. The owners were super nice and helpful. Price was higher than typical furniture stores. This was a big investment for us since it was more than what we originally wanted to spend. The reason i'm deducting 2 stars is because after 2 years my couch started to squeak. I'm just over 100 pounds so not heavy. We have a baby so sometimes sneaking off the couch when he fell asleep was difficult bc it was loud. For the cost I would've liked that the couch stayed in better shape for longer. read more

My wife found this company online and decided to pay their showroom a visit. I did not have direct interaction with the sales person who helped her but the overall experience in store seemed positive. Now to the part where I come in... My wife orders a large sectional. She receives a call that it is ready and we coordinate a delivery date. I believe it had arrived a tad earlier than we expected so we were super excited. Fast forward to the day of delivery - The delivery people arrive. The sectional is quite large and they had a difficult time getting it through the entrance way. Rather than pragmatically rotate or make any adjustments to the furniture, made multiple attempts to force it through. This obviously did not work and resulted in damage to our newly painted walls. At some point, they realized they would need to take the cushions off to get it through... The damages... sections of the wall in the entrance area had been broken off or cracked. We were incredibly upset. I called the store and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Gabriel. I will have to give it to him- he was very calm and understanding through my tirade. After our conversation, he said he would talk to Vanessa and get back to us. Fast forward a tad more - They come to our house with a crew and repaired the damages. To be honest - After seeing some of the negative reviews here, I was skeptical they would make any attempt at fixing the situation. My experience was quite the contrary. They are incredibly polite and quick to help. Quality of the furniture - It was everything we expected. Once again, because of the reviews, I was expecting poor craftsmanship. It was not. A couple of months ago, I was referred to this shop by a friend. She raved about them. I dealt mainly with a VERY patient Gabriel on the creation of my new bed. Design is not my super power and I had a lot of back and forth questions about material, size, etc. LOL, he was probably like "lady, it's going to be ok", but he never showed it. He was amazing. Here's the deal. I ended up going with a different bed, purely because I couldn't make up my mind. I decided to use a "in the meantime" bed frame until I was sure. When I reached out to them about it, because they were waiting on materials anyway, they promptly offered me my deposit back! Per the contract, they could've easily kept it or at least put us all in a position of having to debate the issue. Nope! They were AMAZING. They demonstrated a level of customer service from start to finish that is unfortunately so rare these days. Pretty disappointed by my experience with this company. I work in interior design on the East coast and have several great companies I typically work with. With COVID, I have temporarily relocated back to the West Coast and was excited to find a company that I could use for all of my West Coast clients moving forward. My client was hoping to get a few custom pieces made that closely resembled the look and feel of more recognizable companies. Vannesa was handling my requests via email and from the very start made me feel as though answering my questions was a chore for her. She would answer coldly and with very little information. Eventually I felt I should ask if she would prefer to pass, as it was definitely the feel I was getting from her. I received one sentence in return "I prefer to pass on this." After a bit of sass from me at that point, she responded stating she would hate to take on something that may ultimately disappoint a customer. Which I can completely get onboard with. Had Vannesa cared about a new client and made any effort, she could have started a conversation and realized that we were open to adjustments and recommendations. She also would have realized that our budget was open and our reason for reaching out was more so to receive beautiful pieces in more expedited timing. If you need furniture, custom is the way to go and this is your place. We absolutely love our custom sectional. We visited the showroom during covid lockdown and had to make an appointment to go to practice social distancing. We were the only ones there and Vanessa was very accommodating. We wanted a double chaise sectional with pullout sofa bed. There are lots of choices / options so you can get exactly what you want. The sofa ended up being cheaper that something we would've gotten at Pottery Barn that isnt even exactly to our specifications. They delivered the sofa ahead of the time promised too. I tried all the major furniture stores and while they might have zero down zero interest for how ever long you just won't find the quality similar to Sofas Table and More, and comparable prize at least to the sectional we were looking for! I like the fact you can customize size, materials, colors to what you need. I ordered a sectional from Sofas Tables and More a few months ago. The piece is BEATUFUL and seems to be great quality! However, I was not the biggest fan of the fabric. The original fabric we wanted was out of stock, and we were told we would have to wait if we wanted this fabric. Vanessa recommended a similar fabric that was in stock, so we decided to go with that. We could only see a small fabric swatch and I thought it would be fine, but once the sectional was finished the fabric felt a little too much like corduroy for my taste. The original fabric we wanted was much softer and more breathable. Sofas Tables and More does quality custom work for a great price! Vanessa is very knowledgeable, and gave us great suggestions based on our input. Any custom change you can think of, they will accommodate. I am beyond happy with my experience shopping here. I have been searching for a couch to my specifications at a great price for quite a while. Yes you can go to Thomasville and order a custom couch but it will cost you (about 3 times as much). I actually took the options sheet from Thomasville here and was able to build my custom couch. I wanted 110" in one piece-no problem, I wanted a higher back-no problem. They were so patient with me as there are so many decisions to be made, and they were helpful in guiding me to make the right decision for me. I think it only took 2 weeks to have my couch available for delivery which I knew would be an interesting experience being 110"! The two delivery guys were fantastic, again patient and willing to do whatever it took to get this beast in the house. They had to go around the back of the house, remove one side of a sliding door and maneuver around my pool. Been living with my purchase a few weeks to be sure I love it before I posted review- I'm still in love. I visited their showroom in Torrance, and they had so many great pieces of furniture for great prices. So many modern, rustic, and glamorous pieces. Something for everyone, especially those looking for something outside of the generic pieces sold in mass quantities. Vannesa, was able to create a custom made piece identical to what I had envisioned, for half the price! I never even considered a custom-made piece because I thought it would be too pricey, but this place proved me wrong. Everything was made here in LA, and you can tell right away that the quality is impeccable. I wanted a grey mid century modern type sectional with button tufting, wood tapered legs and a universal chaise in a linen type material. The universal chaise was the important part because we would be moving soon and didn't know if we wanted the chaise to be left or right-arm. I ordered a custom couch with a chaise from here. Vannesa helped us and was very helpful in selecting the fabric and customizing the size for us. We had looked everywhere for something big enough for our family of four to sit all on the same couch. We finally decided to go the custom route. A day after I placed my order I went home and re-measured and realized the couch might be a little too wide so I emailed her making a bit smaller. She responded and confirmed the correct size of 124". A few weeks later when the couch was being delivered, I noticed on the sheet it said 126". I asked the delivery men about it and they said they are just the delivery to contact Vannesa. I measured the couch and sure enough it was 126" not 124" like I requested. I emailed Vannesa and she quickly brushed it off and said that when you custom order there's still a slight variance of half an inch to an inch. I asked her if that was the case then why wouldn't she mention the variance when I was placing my order so I could take that into consideration. She quickly brushed me off again and said I hope you enjoy your couch for many years to come. That really irritated me. I know that when something is custom ordered it should come custom to the size or if there is in fact a variance they should let you know about it. In fact, I even called several other custom order stores who confirmed there is no variance on couches. That is why they have you measure your doorway, etc to make sure the couch fits. All in all, I'm fine with the couch, the fabric is nice(forgot to mention the legs also came in the wrong color and had to wait several weeks for the new ones to get replaced). But I was quite disappointed with the response I received from the owner. Brushing their mistake off like it was nothing. In fact, not even admitting to the error and saying there's a variance. Be careful when you order and they tell you the size. Make sure to confirm if there's a variance or not. read more

They were great with my gazillion questions and seemed to understand what I was after, but there were 1"-2" variances on things that I was specific on how I wanted. But if you are details and want it exactly how you want, I would pass as you may not get it and it will bug you if you are the detail oriented type of person who knows exactly what you want and if you are the type of person to notice when things are off 1/2" -2" or more. Good experience but disappointed that all my research into sofas and exactly what I wanted wasn't executed. Again gorgeous sofa, but it wasn't exact to my specs which is extremely disappointing because I could have just gotten it idential at Pottery Barn for $4k less. My husband and I gutted our new home when we remodeled and as a result we needed to fill a number of rooms and after our last major piece from ST&M, we are happily complete. The quality of the workmanship that Gabriel and Vanessa produces is amazing and they do everything they can to make you happy (even if it means redoing it if it didn't meet the original specs). Vannesa went over fabric choices and she also made some great recommendations that we incorporated into the design. I was worried that with the low price I wouldn't get the best quality, but I can tell you that I received very high quality and they exceeded my expectations. Vannesa could tell that I was nervous about the process and even let me come to the factory to see the sofa before they delivered it. I'm happy I took a chance and worked with Vannesa and Gabriel. They were both great and seemed most concerned about doing quality work and making sure I was happy with the finished product than just making a quick buck. I have used Sofas Tables and More to have 2 sofas made, also a window seat cushion and some pillows. Vannesa and Gabriel are both very knowledgeable. They guided us through the many choices we needed to make, told us exactly the timing and cost and all was as promised. The first sofa they made for us is now 2 years old and we could not be happier with it. Due to their guidance it was exactly what we wanted. It is known as the "napping couch" in our house - you cannot sit on it without napping. The second sofa we asked them to make was for our daughter - this was just a year ago - the same wonderful experience and the same very happy customer.
