She told me from the start that she does not deal with companies whose furniture will not last. And the prices are comparable to big store manufacturers like living spaces and Ashely. My wife and I had been looking for a bedroom set for our newly remodeled home. Going to places like Living Spaces, Ashley and Jeromes, we could not find anything that met all our wants. Everything we saw would involve compromise in color, style, wood type and quality. Then we found Sofas, Tables and More... We brought in a picture of a bedroom set we loved but it was in the wrong color, showed it to Vannesa. She said she could make the bed exactly as is or customize anything to our liking. We changed the legs of the bed, dresser, and night stands to our liking. We also were able to customize the night stands to add a second drawer which the picture only had one. Perfect! Then we got to pick our color from a pile of hundreds of woods samples with different finishes and colors. This was this most difficult part because of the amount of options to choose from. If they don't have a color you want I'm sure it doesn't exist or I bet they would be able to recreate it. I am not going to lie, I was anxious about how everything would turn out. I just paid for a bedroom set I technical have not seen. Then it arrived.... The bedroom set way exceeded my expectations! I can't believe how well it's made and how it precisely met our vision. It was perfect! The color, style quality was amazing! Even the delivery guys were awesome. They were very nice and respectful. They took the utmost care in making sure they did not ding my newly painted walls when maneuvering through tight hallways. We will definitely be back one day for a media center and coffee table. Absolutely no stars to this business! A couple weeks ago my friend and I went to the orange county swat meet specifically so she could find a couch. We went to the sofa tables and more section and we're there for a good 30 minutes speaking with Gabriel about the couch she wanted the material and we had an in length discussion about the sofa bed part of it what mattress it comes with the springs all of that. He even told us if we wanted she could upgrade the mattress but also maybe just get a memory foam topper and she specifically let him know the reason she was getting a new couch was so it would have a pull out bed. Well when it was delivered this past week it had no sofa bed and that service that she received was appalling. He would not honor the fact that she had ordered a sofa with a pull out bed and would not take the couch back and make it right. He just tried to pawn that couch off to her, yes at a lower price but that is not what she wanted. He absolutely was rude and was horrible horrible businessman. It just makes me very angry that she was treated like that and did not get what she specifically ordered that is not the way you do business. I had two friends I had given his business card to as well who needed new couches obviously I spoke with those friends and they did not like what they had to hear about the business either and intern get rid of business card and he has he's lost a lot of business from the way he conducted his business with my friend. read more

Came here after seeing an add in the local penny saver. Was hesitant to use because of some bad reviews and never having done business with them before. However I really didn't want to pay full price for the potterybarn table that I fell in love with and decided to see if sofastablesandmore could make me a table that was similar. I'm really glad I tried them. Although they had never made this particular table before all I had to do was show them a picture and the website of the potterybarn table ( Banks style table) and they said they could do it no problem and for almost $1000 less! I did have a little trouble with the company. I had wanted the table by a certain time frame for my 5yr anniversary party that was gonna be at my house. I was given an approximate time frame for when the table would be ready which was well before this date. As it was getting close to the party I hadn't heard anything so emailed about it. I received the news I was hoping for that it would be at my house two days before the party. Unfortunately my table was not actually ready, as they had two clients with the same first name and they had confused the two. Needless to say I was bummed. Vanessa was extremely sorry and hopefully she will double check the names on orders. But it was an honest mistake. My disappointment dissolved after my table did arrive. It is absolutely beautiful! And what's better is I could pick the color! Potterybarn sold this table in only a very dark stain which I liked but would have preferred something lighter. Now I have the exact table I wanted in the exact color that blends the best with my house and for far less money. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy from them again. read more

I have never been happier with the purchase of furniture! My hubby and I are pretty indecisive people, but it only took us two visits before we finally decided on what we wanted. The only thing we knew going into this process, was that we wanted a deep couch and chair, and we wanted them to be comfortable, and unique. We got just that. Vanessa and Gabriel are both very patient and sweet, and they made great recommendations for the pieces we selected. We have an odd living room because it is long and narrow, so we had to do some measuring to make sure we got everything right. This is my husband's Yelp account since I never write reviews. I don't even want to write this review since it means I have to relive this horrible experience, but if I can even save one person the headache and the hassle of dealing with this dishonest company then at least it could make the $2,800 I lost in the process worth something. Please pay very close attention to the negative reviews...there are only a few which is what fooled me, but they are all exactly the same. Instead of writing another identical story I will just say that every word in them is true about the character and tactics of these business owners. I will share photos of the couch I ordered from their shop and the couch they tried to deliver to me saying it was the exact couch, exact quality, and they backed up their work 100%. The lack of integrity in this situation was shocking and depressing. Pictures speak louder than words so I will attach the comparison shots. I saw a beautifully made off white couch with a round arm, and ordered it in grey, exactly the same in terms of design except with a square shaped arm instead. Nothing ended up the same in terms of construction, design, or quality, no straight seams, oddly spaced and crooked nail heads, and a puffy rounded mess of an arm that was half round, half square. Everything was fat and puffy with no straight or square edges to be found. Unfixable. And instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes she claimed it was exactly what I ordered, and if necessary they could straighten seams and realign nailheads...when I said they'd have to rebuild the couch to fix the design problems she said they'd pick up the couch and keep my deposit. She tried to take the entire payment, but I told her I would put a stop payment on the second half. So instead of being out $4,700 for this mess, I'm out $2,800 and no couch, that's no bargain if you ask me. Good luck, hope you make it to the positive review side...even though after all this it's hard to believe they aren't all fake... Just wanted to add a bit after the owners response to my review, explaining that I'm a perfectionist and indecisive on nailhead spacing, and someone who expects good quality when I pay for it, is in no way responding to my review and defending the couch they made me. Look at the pictures everyone that's all you need to see for proof to not use this company. She claims I lied about her trying to keep the full amount for the couch but I have her email stating her return policy is no refunds for custom work even though it was not what I ordered. So that was all true. I have absolutely nothing to gain from posting this review except the hopes of trying to help people not have to go through what I went through. read more

Absolutely disappointed and appalled at the customer service by this company. Went to ST&M to purchase a couch, headboard and possibly more. Ended up buying a floor sample couch and custom ordered a headboard/bedframe. After working with Vanessa to marry 2 different headboard styles from her computer to make my dream bed, and waiting 4 weeks for both pieces, the delivery day was a disaster. 1. The pillows I ordered weren't in the delivery. 2. The pillows were $3 more on the invoice than what she had emailed me (not a big deal, but always a bit insulting when misquoted) 3. Invoice discrepancy - delivery man said I owed full amount and my credit card didn't go through when in fact I paid more than half of my amount due in cash. 4. Slats for the bed frame were the wrong size (Vanessa's husband called and said he was going in inspect before he sent off the delivery). 5. The grand finale: the wrong bed was made and delivered. Instead of taking back the bed and reordering the one we wanted, or even letting my boyfriend come home to see the bed first, Vanessa wanted the bed back and threatened to charge us a 35% restocking fee. I checked their website...their restocking fee says 20-25%. Hmm. For something that wasn't our fault. It's not that we didn't like what we ordered....its that it WAS NOT THE BED WE ORDERED. I have full proof that this company was wrong. So instead of rectifying her mistake and satisfying her customers, she was rude and fought and yelled at both myself and my boyfriend (who was at work) and told me that I was "making these 5 minute issues" a bigger deal than what they were. Wow. After everything was said and done, it ends up that she owes ME $51. I emailed her exactly one week ago and still have yet gotten a reply. At least her delivery men were amazing. I was referred to this company by a friend...I would never recommend this company to my friends. read more

My husband and I stumbled across ST&M by accident when we were shopping for some other home stuff. We saw their showroom and were really impressed! The furniture is very high quality and well made. They have PLENTY of fabric and wood choices to choose from. I was a little nervous after reading their yelp reviews because we needed our furniture in exactly 4 weeks time for a housewarming party. We loved the furniture (and so affordable!!) and so we decided to take a chance. And I'm glad we did!! We ordered 2 large couches, 1 entryway table, and 1 pedestal table. We had everything delivered in 3 weeks time, and we were pleasantly surprised when each couch came with two matching pillows. If I could give 10 stars to Sofas Tables and More, I would do it in a heartbeat. My wife and I have been looking for a new lounge sofa for a few months now. We were looking to create some more space in our living room for our baby and get rid of our old clunky sectional. We finally came across a very nice Lounge Sofa at Crate and Barrel, but it would have cost me $1600. The matching Ottoman was another $479. I was not about to pay over $2000 (not including tax and shipping yet) for a sofa. My co-worker recommended me to Sofas Tables and More. I arrived at the store 15-minutes before it closed and Vannesa was just as kind a possible. She never rushed me, answered all my questions, and even texted her husband to pick up the kids because she was with a customer. I showed her a picture of the Crate and Barrel Lounge 83" Sofa and she was extremely confident that she could make me the exact same sofa for a lot less. When she heard that I had a little baby at home, she recommended a nice micro-fiber material that resist staining. In the end I ordered the sofa and the matching ottoman for a little bit less than the price I would have paid for the sofa alone at Crate and Barrel. Vannesa said it would take 3 weeks to complete both items and it was finished EXACTLY within 3 weeks. I must have emailed her with questions more than a dozen times and she responded immediately if not within 24-hours. The delivery guys were even kind enough to help me move my old sectional to the garage. The entire experience from beginning to end with Vannesa and Gabriel has been spectacular. I have already recommended this store to all my friends and family. I will need a new bed frame soon and you know where I will place my first call. Sofa Tables and More has my business for life.
