Can't wait for my mattress to arrive. Store was clean. Keith is welcoming. I will update if we have issues with delivery. Let me not forget to mention that there was another gentleman working there who also got up to greet us. There is ample parking. Store is large. You don't get bothered with annoying sales tactics or upselling. This was great. We had the same experience at another store where Joey T was magnificent. It was time to look for a new bed. Our old bed, only 6.5 yrs old began to sink on my side. Actually I fell out of bed twice and hit my head... that is the time to get a new bed. Went to a mattress store, and got a bad vibe on the employee. So we left there and went to Sit & Sleep because I found a bed online (oh no) and wanted to see it in person. According to the ad, it was available at Sit & Sleep. When we walked into the store, it was quite large inside. We were greeted by a man, named Javier, who helped us. I told him about the bed I had seen online... he was quick and honest about that bed... not to be mentioned here, but when he said they get a lot of returns on that bed I said... NO...I did get to sit on that bed, and NO I sunk on the side... We started looking at the beds. We both agreed it was to be a Cal King size bed. When we stay in hotels, we always get rooms with a king bed, not a Cal King bed. I measured our bedroom length & width. Cal King bed is 72wide x 84long. King bed is 76wide by 80long. I knew a Cal King would fit better in our room which is 12ft by 11ft. My husband really did not care that much with bed search, just as long as I am comfortable, that is what matters most. I have sciatica and lower back pain, so we need a firm bed that can hold up to our weight. We tried the first bed out. For me I felt it in my lower back, I could feel my back hurt a bit... too hard. The medium bed next to it was nice, but to me it felt too soft... Kinda like the 3 Bears: momma bed too soft, poppa bed too hard... And so we looked at a couple more beds, then came to bed that we ended up taking home. King Koil Onxy Hybrid. I sat on the side of the bed, as I do every morning and night. I sat on the end of the bed; I did not sink. This is important to me. The bed needs to be firm and be able to sit on the sides without sinking. Hubby laid down, he was happy, almost fell asleep... Javier asked if we thought about adjustable beds. I was curious, so he pulled out the remotes for it and raised the bed up. How comfy can it get! WOW, very nice. I knew in advance that an elevated head actually helps those who snore, like my husband. I was hooked. Javier did his job well. We ended up buying it. We also got the base for the bed. It is not a low-end value of a bed. Plus, a set of sheets and mattress protector. Why not splurge on a great bed. The one thing that caught my eye on the bed: 25-year warranty!!! That is huge. As my husband said "this will be the last bed we buy". I'm sad, but it is true, I am 64 yrs old. We have had the bed for a little over 2 weeks now. I have slept better, my husband does not snore, unless his side is lowered. Every night I have had my side elevated. It is comfortable. We even had both sides at almost a 90 degree angle watching tv in bed. We do need a headboard, as I did lose my pillow one night lol. If you are looking for a great bed, don't mind paying the price, look at this bed. read more

We had a great experience at Sit 'n Sleep in Torrance. My friend has cancer. He has slept on the same mattress for 20 years as he cannot afford a replacement. I had to help after learning this, so gifted him a new mattress, but it had to be no more than $1200. He order one from Costco, but once it arrived, he realized it was not plush at all - though it was advertised as such. His body hurts from chemo and he needs a soft, plush mattress that still provides structure. I asked my pal to drive around with me and try the mattresses out by laying on them to find the one that works best for his needs. We went to 6 other stores around town and Sit 'n Sleep in Torrance had, by far, the BEST selection. We told Keith Palafox our exact budget and that we wanted a plush to mediate some health issues. Keith was very professional - he never asked what health issues nor insinuated that my pal and I were going to share the bed, which other sales people did. We didn't want to share such personal stuff at a store, and Keith never said anything to make this an awkward moment. I spent $1640.00 on 2 Frontier 2 adjustable bases 4 years ago, plus $4225.00 for new mattresses.. A few days ago one of the bases stopped working. Angelica at Sit'N Sleep was great and got it repaired for $138.00. The power supply failed. It seems it was only under warranty for 3 years. I was never offered an extended warranty at the time of purchase. I called Guardian Protection Products, an OnPoint Warranty brand to file a claim and they were horrible. NO HELP. If I could give Fred Powell and Sit 'n Sleep 10 stars I would. When I make a large purchase I do some research online and keep a list of needs and wants In mind along with an estimated budget. I try to use the KISS method (Keep It Simple, Stupid) because the more bells and whistles you have, the more things can break and need repairing. Fred helped me narrow down my choices while keeping as close to my budget as possible. I needed an adjustable bed frame and a medium firm mattress. He showed me several combinations and answered all of my questions. He was so patient and knowledgeable! After I was done playing Goldilocks, with Fred's help I chose a CloudTech Stratus Euro Top mattress and a King Koil Frontier 2 adjustable base. I'd never heard of CloudTech before, but I'm thankful Fred introduced me to it. When feasible I hit the sales. Saved hundreds of dollars during their Presidents' Day Sale plus I mentioned the online coupon for an additional $100 off of my qualifying mattress. Plus all of the ordered items were in stock so I received next day delivery! I didn't want to spend one more night on my uncomfortable old mattress so that was a relief. The delivery guys were quick, considerate, professional, and even arrived early. We did not sense any pushiness from Fred, just a willingness to share information that might help our decision making. He listened to our needs, made several suggestions for beds, and helped us decide on a frame and mattress that best fit our needs. He worked with our budget and we chose a floor model that had extras we might not have been able to afford otherwise. Delivery was fast and the delivery men were excellent. They had to negotiate several levels and turns in our house to bring the bed & frame upstairs. They removed pictures to fit the bed upstairs and were very careful not to scratch our hardwood floors. Went into the store today, 12/2/25, ready to buy a Stearns and Foster mattress. The lone guy working did not acknowledge our entry into the store nor did he approach us. Visited this store Sunday afternoon and was promptly greeted by the store manager Robert who did an excellent job of educating us. The store has a great selection of mattress brands (Nectar, Purple, Sealy, Casper, Kingsdown, etc). I haven't purchased a mattress in over 20 years, the technology available today is impressive. We started with Bed Match which scans your body and suggests a bed type for you. The bed types are based on a color system they use at Sit 'N' sleep (blue, green, yellow, red). Robert provided us a liner so we didn't have to touch the bed surface directly. Then we moved on to test a series of beds and based on our comments Robert would continue to refine his selections to find something closer to what would suit us best. Eventually we ended up testing the Smartlife bed which can adjust to different firmness and tilts for both sides--it even comes with an app! Those beds practically sell themselves, but you get what you pay for a smart bed can easily cost +$5k. Robert went on to explain that they are also coming out with a cheaper version of these beds to make them more affordable. In the end, Tempur-Pedic was our mattress of choice, hoping to return soon to capitalize on a sale! Overall, Robert spent over an hour showing us different bed set ups and helped us figure out what types of mattresses we liked. Our experience met my expectations of visiting a premium mattress store. I was very impressed with Robert's dedication to helping us find a mattress that fit our needs. I also appreciate how honest Robert was when it came to prices. Knowing we wanted Tempur-Pedic he advised us that Temper-Pedic is price controlled and won't have as aggressive sales as other brands in the store. Although we liked Tempur-Pedic, I have no doubt we will be able to find a comparable option in this location. I went straight to the point and told him I needed a 38 X 75 mattress and he automatically knew that it was the measurements for a twin size bed. I was very impressed with his knowledge. DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THE SALESPEOPLE AT THIS STORE TELL YOU (AND DON'T TAKE TIME OFF WORK TO WANT FOR DELIVERIES THAT WON'T ARRIVE) - I was told by both my salesperson, Javier, and Johnny Garcia, the supposed assistant store manager, that both my mattress and box springs were in stock whenever I ordered them on Nov 5. The day before they were supposed to be delivered on Nov 11, the delivery department called and told me there was only one box spring so they would have to deliver them on Nov 13. There were some issues with the size of the box springs that they delivered so they were supposed to come back with the correct box spring size on Nov 15, but then I get another call about not having enough inventory - so they were supposed to deliver on Nov 16 (today) instead. I'm now on hold with customer service because they still don't have the box spring in stock and they tell me it won't be until Nov 20 or 21. read more

Terrible business practices. I went in to browse after visiting 2 other mattress stores that day and getting a sense of what I was generally looking for. I was immediately accosted by an aggressive salesperson to whom I told I was just browsing. A few minutes later he walks up behind me as I was looking at a price tag and says "you won't learn anything from looking at the price tags". I replied "really? So the info isn't accurate" he said "no, not if you're going to shop D.I.Y." I said "well that's a bummer. See you later" and left the store. The idea that the prices marked do not reflect real pricing is an absurd business model. They force you to deal with the used car salesman they have in the store just to get a real idea of price is offensive. Get a clue Sit n Sleep. read more
