Came in looking for some fun arts and crafts and was able to score some fun items that were Christmas related but can be used all year as well but got them 60% off. They had a bunch of sale and of course wanting to get rid of all the Christmas stuff but you can def repurpose some items. The store is very well equipped with anything you can possibly think of, if you are a teacher and have a badge or ID of the school you work at you get a discount. One thing that was a bit on the downside was checking out. They have 2 registers open for cash but the rest you scan yourself out and use card. The line was so big and then some people were having trouble with certain items so it just dragged so maybe having a person help with that would help. But over all they were nice and helpful when you needed help with anything. Some times are busier than others & that's understandable.. read more

No issues with the store or selection. But, the greeter Michelle needs to take it down a notch. I grabbed a basket which seemed quite large so I quickly looked under it to make sure I had not accidentally grabbed two by mistake. Before I could even register that it was also a basket you pull Michelle yells at the top of her lungs in front of other customers " what's the matter do you need an engineering degree? It's a basket you can pull blah blah blah ". Extremely condescending and I really didn't appreciate it at all. I'd rather be ignored when I come in than "welcomed" by Michelle. Small Michaels in a fairly tight strip mall. Smaller but it does cover the arts & crafts basics found at all Michaels locations. They carry a lot of different DIY products which could easily make the store feel cramped and cluttered but they do a good job of keeping it neat and organized. Look for those sales. If parking is full on the surface, there's parking underground. read more

This is for the company in general rather than this store specifically. I had a Michaels gift card stolen from my priority mail envelope along with $300 of other gift cards. I was able to trace all the gift cards back to the companies based on the Activation codes and the receipts. There were Amazon, Walmart, and restaurant gift cards, that were also stolen. Only 2 Amazon cards were used on the account of the person who stole them. Only Michaels was willing to cancel the unused card and reissue it and send me the newly reissued cared. None of the other companies were willing to cancel and reissue the cards. Even Amazon, knowing who used the stole card, because either they stole it, or they received the stolen goods and were a party to the conspiracy to the mail fraud crime, were willing to do anything about. YES, GREAT customer service Michaels!!! You were much better than Amazon and Walmart and Darden! You stood up to the big boys that continually take our money and never help stop this crime that is going on with gift card fraud. This was probably one of my most uncomfortable experiences. I was shopping here with my sister for some Halloween decorations, but it wasn't just one or two employees following us--there were THREE. I noticed that two other customers, who were white, were not being followed. No matter what section we were in, the employees were feather dusting random items around us. All three of them returned to the front when we were checking out, and one of them even started feather dusting the candy right next to us. Excuse me? I didn't even have a purse, let alone the need to steal! Might as well have given me a cavity search! I hate pulling the race card, but these employees were definitely exhibiting racist behavior. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. I was in a rush finding a clear handbag for an event i have later tonight, I ordered since the morning. I received text confirming my order, then later I received a text saying my order was ready for pickup. I log in to let them know im on my way, to my surprise it said online that my order was already picked up or cancelled. I called the store, spoke to Mirna. She didn't apologize or anything, just said she didn't have it in stock so she cancelled it. My thing is , why wasn't I notified? Why sent a text saying it was ready for pickup. I purchased 2 picture frames on line from Michaels. I drove to the Burbank store to pick them up. When I got there, they said my order was cancelled because they were out of stock. So I asked for a refund. They said I have to contact customer service. I did that and they told me I have to wait 5 days. I waited the five days, and they would NOT refund my purchase for 49.60. I have called Michaels art supply customer service for 3 days straight. Each time they refused to give me a refund. Today I called them for the 6th time. They said I was never charged for the picture frames so there is no refund. THAT IS A DAMN LIE!!! I can clearly see the purchase of $49.60 on my bank account. With NO REFUND applied. I have filed a dispute with my bank, but any legitimate company should refund a purchase if they don't provide the product that was purchased I AM WARNING OTHER CUSTOMERS, NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more
