Before I start, I just want to say that I have been a loyal Gorjana customer for some time now and with my experience in the store yesterday I will definitely not be back to this location.
I am writing to share a concern regarding my recent visit to your store. I came in on Wednesday looking for a baptism gift and specifically inquired about a cross necklace. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and left me feeling uncomfortable.
From the beginning of the interaction, I felt that the associate assisting me, who I believe was named Nicki, was unwelcoming. It was Ash Wednesday, and I had ash on my forehead. I noticed her repeatedly staring at it, which made me feel uneasy.
The situation escalated when I asked whether the store carried more affordable or fashion jewelry options. In response, she gave me a disapproving look and stated that such options would not be appropriate for a baptism and that it would not be nice to give "fake" jewelry. The tone and manner in which this was communicated felt judgmental and condescending. I was taken aback and unsure how to respond, so I ended the interaction and left the store.
I came in hoping to purchase a meaningful gift for a special occasion, and instead I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. I believe every customer deserves to feel respected, regardless of their budget or personal circumstances.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure all customers are treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. read more
