What a cute coffee place! The customer service is excellent and i love the variety on coffee lattes. I want to return for their themed days but it makes it hard since i work until 4pm This is a great place for social workers to rest and wait for your next appointment and purchase a coffee and some yummy food.
Boss took me for a belated birthday lunch. She's been here before and really enjoys it, and I can see why. The interior itself is very nicely decorated - comfortable and welcoming. Despite the small size, there is plenty of seating. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and service was excellent. Order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Part of the menu changes based on the theme. Looks like we were there for the America 250 theme. I had the Dark Chocolate Chai (iced) which was delicious! Boss went with one of the state themed drinks. I think it was South Carolina. She loved it too. We shared the sandwiches - the Fire Roasted Chicken Salad, which is what the boss orders all the time apparently; and the Prime, Pimento and Blue Panini whichay be my favorite. I just love beef and blue cheese! The chicken was very good too, and there were several things on the menu that I'd love to try. This is a great little spot and I can see why she stops in regularly. It's out of the way for me, but maybe next time I'm up the street for a DBacks day game I'll drive a little further south for a sip and a bite!
Wow, this place is so cool! They have such an impressive variety of unique coffee drinks. The interior is super upscale and modern.. it has such a great vibe. I tried the Purple Bee, and it was fantastic! I only stopped by because I was visiting from out of town, but if I lived in the area, I would definitely be here all the time
Cute and cozy spot. I ordered an iced birthday cake latte along with the avocado toast and added a hard boiled egg on top. While the latte wasn't as sweet as I typically like them, I enjoyed it and it even came with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. I was a little skeptical when they bought the avocado toast.. it looked interesting. I was surprised how all the ingredients worked well together. I would definitely recommend this spot and be back!
My first time trying Coffee Builders since I happened to be in the area, and funnily enough... I don't even drink coffee! I was hoping they'd have some good tea options too, and they absolutely do. I ordered the iced peach black tea, and it was incredibly refreshing with a really nice peach flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The cashier was also super helpful in walking me through the menu and helping me decide what to order, which made for a great first impression. For breakfast, I got the avocado cream. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the chive cream was an absolute standout, it was so flavorful and ended up being the perfect dip for bites of the avocado toast. My only complaint is that it was pretty cumbersome to eat as served. I basically had to deconstruct the whole thing to enjoy it, so I think a different presentation would make the dish even better. The atmosphere was another highlight. It felt much more like a cocktail lounge than your typical coffee shop, which made it a really enjoyable place to sit and relax. Even though I can't personally vouch for the coffee, I had such a great experience that I can't wait to come back and next time I'll bring one of my coffee-loving friends to see if the coffee lives up to everything else!
Another excellent coffee shop in Phoenix! There were so many drink options that it was hard to choose but I went with the staff recommendation- the slopes, a blueberry favored latte. It was delicious! I ordered to go and didn't get to enjoy the lovely indoor space. There is also an outdoor space too.
This coffee shop looks like something you would see in a design builder studio. The inside looks designer, sophisticated, 80's wood inspired. Not one detail was overlooked, even the bar stools are purposefully chosen. Either the owner hired a designer, is married to one or they are in the developer business/community. In my travels throughout the world I have never seen this attention to detail for a 1000sq ft (at most) coffee shop. That being said the coffee is top notch. I was on the go and wish I had more time to soak up the synergy created in this space. I noticed Lots of business type patrons, not too many causal dressed clients. Proximity to downtown Phoenix, could be the cause. I will come back to try more of the star wars inspired drinks and from what I saw the food looks spectacular. I hope they are open late, as this could be a true date night spot.
Wow was a cute find! Nestled back in an industrial area, I was surprised to walk into such a fashionable, warm, welcoming coffee shop! I heard they go all out on themes (like Star Wars). After much discussion with the wonderfully helpful barista, I settled on the ceremonial iced matcha with a shot of rose, and the fruit bowl which is quite big! Cute patio with misters, or luxurious indoor velvet seats with speakeasy vibes. Definitely an unexpected find.
I didn't know what I was getting myself into before I walked into this place, but I'm glad I did. Someone really loves Star Wars. They had Lego Star Wars on tv. They had yoda balls. They had a full sci-fi menu. But they also had very nice people working, tasty food and a nice hot latte. That's exactly what I needed after a morning flight. I'd definitely go back the next time I fly into the Phoenix airport!
This is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in Phoenix. The inside of the shop is contemporary but has a speakeasy type of feel. They also have an outdoor patio. There's tons of gluten free options. I got the matcha latte with almond milk and a gluten free waffle. Everything was so good. I love their presentation. The service was quick and courteous. I love their attention to details. Definitely be back when I'm closer to downtown.
This week, I stopped in for a Yelp event and was blown away at the beautiful decor, drinks, food, and friendly staff. Star Wars + Coffee = a match made in heaven, or should I say space? My boyfriend is a Star Wars fan as well, so I had to go back a few days later to show him this amazing place when we were nearby at the Phoenix Zoo. That experience was also great, so I'll likely need to do an outing to take my Star Wars loving bestie out as she was mesmerized just by the pictures I shared with her. What We Ordered: - High Ground (Galactic Menu available until 5/31/2026) - espresso, milk, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate cold foam: so delicious that I returned days after a Yelp event to have this iced again! - Yoda Deviled Eggs (available until 5/31/2026): another repeat for me this week as I enjoyed it so much earlier this week! - Prime Rib Sliders: something new to try and we split. I really love spicy red pepper aioli as it added a nice heat to the slider, and some moisture as the prime rib was a bit tough. Not sure we'd order again due to that toughness, but the aioli was so delicious I'd see if it was on any other dish to order that to try next time. Yes, next time as I'm certain I'll return! Be sure to stop by before May 31st, 2026 to see the Star Wars theming! They even have a POD RACER! How cool. May the force be with you & SYOY!
This place is fun. Themed food and drink, and the food is actually good! Drinks were also delicious. Long line but they know how to keep things moving.
If you're moving too fast, you may just drive past this place. It looks inconspicuous from the outside, but when you get inside, it's beautiful. They have abundance of food and drink choices. Staff embodies the true definition of "service with a smile." I got a matcha lemonade. That was delicious and I will definitely try this place again.
Accio Coffee! The shop is located in south Phoenix onsite of a lumber yard. This was a brilliant idea by the owner of Porter Barn Wood and Porter Iron Works to draw people in with a coffee shop. Plus, they get to show off their work with the cool wood ceilings and the iron fencing on the patio. The theme changes every couple of months, with past themes including Star Wars and Lego. And they go all out! The decor and the menu has a complete overhaul letting you be fully immersed in the themeing. The photos came to life, candles were floating, the movie was playing, and we even spotted platform 9 3/4. We added to the fun by wearing costume pieces and carrying wands. It brought us great joy to start our day so magical. I was sorted into Hufflepuff after mixing my drink (The Sorted Hat) with a mystery glitter cotton candy. The Herbologist drink was like an orangcicle with added spices. The champagne deviled eggs were delicious and the donut stack was a little added sugary fun for breakfast. We didn't use the Lumos spell as we really enjoyed the vibes of the darker interior lighting. Hurry, and apparate to Coffee Builders before the Wizarding world is gone! read more
We found our favorite coffee shop! Thanks, Yelp, for another awesome Elite Week event at "Coffee Builders." It's in a 1960s building with cool art outside and a super cozy, study-like vibe inside. They also have unique food, like Smørrebrød, which are Danish open-faced sandwiches. Everyone was so friendly! Our barista, Pepper, was really nice and patient while we checked out their amazing coffee choices. My wife loves coffee, so she got a "Chocolate Pistachio Latte," and I picked something from their Galactic menu, the "Krayt Dragonfruit." It had muddled dragonfruit, lemonade, peach, anise rose tea, and bee pollen. So good, and both drinks looked incredible! We also tried the prime rib sliders; the meat was tender and juicy and totally hit the spot. Shanda loved it, so we'll definitely be back. The Coffee Builders is located on an unassuming street in an unassuming building near the airport. I had a long drive to Tucson and stopped here for some caffeine. When I turned in, I thought I was in the wrong place and that this shop was closed... possibly forever. Oh I was so wrong! I walked in and seriously I feel like I was transported somewhere else. The aesthetics and the shop design were very different and cozy. Their coffee menu is a lot to take in and I asked a lot of questions! I feel bad as I didn't realize there were a few folks behind me. However, how can you not get excited and ask questions about homemade syrups and a menu designed around Star Wars? They also have a brunch menu also. I ordered the housemate lavender syrup and honey latte and the arugula salad with salmon. The latte was very light and refreshing and kept me energize during my drive. The salad was fresh and delicious. Wonderful experience and I have to go back to try all the other menu times. Casual. Private and easy parking lot. My best friend and I love to try new coffee shops together. Today we tried The Coffee Builders. It's a very popular spot! We waited in line for a few minutes and we were helped by the most friendly staff when it was our turn to order. We sat outside and it was very pleasant on the patio. Their menu is so creative, and I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded good. I ordered the Forest Moon latte which had maple, brown sugar, and sea salt. To eat, I had the champagne deviled eggs and a plain waffle. The servers who bring out the food and drinks are very friendly and helpful. read more
We visited The Coffee Builders right after landing at PHX, in desperate need of food and caffeine. They were located conveniently close to the airport and the space was so cute. The interior had an almost speakeasy-like vibe, with plush seating, a fake-plant wall, and lots of wood. For drinks, my friend and I both chose The Slopes, which was pretty much my ideal coffee beverage. The presentation was beautiful - light blue coloring, three massive blueberries on a fancy toothpick, and a pansy flower on top. It also tasted amazing and I loved that the blueberry syrup was house-made. For food, I ordered the Prime, Pimento, & Blue Panini, which was also awesome. The sourdough was perfectly warm, the flavors worked well together, and the sandwich was pretty filling. My friend also loved her Champagne Cheese Panini. Can't go wrong with anything here. My third time here- coffee is excellent, whatever you get. First time getting food and the Smörrebrod and the waffle were A+. The smoked salmon w cream cheese, greens and caviar: YES, the bread it's on makes me miss German bread. Everything you'll get looks super pretty too. A must visit - such a cool coffee shop!! The outside of the building is so deceiving, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside. The decor is phenomenal; straight out of a top interior design magazine. The velvet, wood and greenery combo is perfect. I want their custom ceiling in my house! The coffee shop is bite-sized, but has a good bit of seating. It's remote work friendly with outlets everywhere. The menu did not disappoint. Loads of fun coffee drinks with unique flavors -- pistachio, bourbon, lavender, ube, just to name a few. The best part is that the drinks are gorgeous. Their presentation is amazing. I had the white chocolate pistachio latte, absolutely delicious. Creamy good flavor without being over powering. They also have a food menu. Someone next to me had the açaí bowl and it looked delish. I grabbed a cinnamon apple crisp pastry - so yummy! It was very busy the entire time I was there from 7-10am on a Wednesday. I noticed it was very popular for work meetings. This place is a gem! We stopped in after flying into Phoenix airport and picking up our rental car, and we were thrilled to find this place only like 7 minutes away, before driving up to Sedona. It has a decent size parking lot in an interesting industrial spot where there's wood and a building company. The café itself is very cool and cute. It has a large plant wall with greenery and it's giving wood chalet or cabin vibes inside. Plenty of tables and a big round booth to sit at. There are also tables for outdoor seating. We ordered: 1. Dirty chai (with added shot of espresso) with oat milk - Delicious! 5-stars! 2. Truffle latte (off the "luxury" section of the drink menu). It has dark chocolate and black summer truffles (the mushroom). Incredibly delicious, and kind of savory. For people who love truffles, I highly recommend this one! Very unique. 5-stars 3. Nitro cold brew (Black 16-oz). Smooth and delicious. 4. Deviled eggs with caviar. (We were feeling luxurious.) YUM! You can also order them without caviar or with bacon. 5. Blue crab and caviar bröd or börd. (Open-face dense toast like they serve in Denmark). It also had micro greens and little cherry tomatoes. It was so so delicious! 5-stars! Coffee Builders was a fun experience! I visited Coffee Builders with my mom during the middle of the day on the weekday. There was no line to order when we arrived and ample parking available. When we arrived Coffee Builders was decorated with LEGO's! There were LEGO's available to play with, LEGO decor everywhere, & a LEGO movie playing on the TV. Hmmm... where do I begin.... The decor, adorable! The service, top tier! The location, a bit interesting to me. Then it makes sense when you realize the Porter Barn Wood next to it and that they're tied. It was extremely busy Saturday morning but I'm pretty sure it's because most of us were there for the Yelp Elite Week. The drinks were yummy and did not take the coffee taste away, which I like, the espresso had me jumping off the walls Saturday all day. I want to go back when it's not so busy because it is a pretty small place, although there is sitting outside, it's too hot right now. It will be nice when we have colder weather to sit out there. Thoughtful, handcrafted drinks with fresh ingredients. Phoenix coffee is a competitive space, but this is a solid option. Had the strawberry fields and the abuelita coco. Strawberry fields is great, and the abuelita coco is nice but I found mine a little bit too spicy for my own taste. All the workers here are super nice too! We came on a busy day for the yelp elite event but the service was still pretty quick! read more

One of the most unique and beautiful coffee shops that I have ever been to! The ambience is stunning! This is a perfect place to do work as they have free WiFi. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They are also all masters at making delicious drinks! I ordered an off menu iced matcha drink that the cashier recommended. I don't remember the name, but it had blueberry, honey, matcha, and rose cold foam. It was delicious and honestly a work of art. It was expensive, but I didn't even mind because it was so good and the service was exceptional. The menu items are all very fairly priced, while the specialty drinks are more expensive. The Coffee Builders is such a fantastic coffee shop, and it's easy to see why they've landed the number one spot on Yelp's Top Places to Drink in Phoenix! I had been wanting to check out TCB since they first opened, and I finally got the chance a little over a year later, in October. The place is absolutely gorgeous and not your typical coffee shop. Every part of the building was designed by them to highlight their team's creativity and to create a wonderful space for people to gather and enjoy a meal and/or a cup of coffee. I met up with two of my colleagues for coffee, snacks, and some co-working. I ordered the following: Carpenter bee latte Chocolate pistachio Deviled eggs The drinks were excellent, perfectly balanced, and had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. You can tell they put a lot of thought into everything they craft. The deviled eggs with caviar were absolutely delicious, and each order came with two eggs. From the food and drinks to the service and atmosphere, everything was top-notch. They truly deserve their spot on Yelp's Top Places to Drink! read more

Omg!!! We were on our last day of vacation from Vegas, in town for the Innings Festival and Spring Training Baseball. I googled "cute coffee spots near me," and this had amazing ratings. Situated next to Porter Barn Wood (Same Owner) this is an adorable little hub of community. My húsband got an Orange Blossom Latte and I had to try the "Fire and Ice Kentucky Bourbon" Latte. Amazing presentation by Oliver who obviously takes pride in his work. He smoked my coffee! And sweet Mara came up and let us know that the themes change here! Right now it "Princess Bride," and she told me that next is STAR WARS! Wow! We've been contemplating if we'd love here and this spot makes me smile even more! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special. The ambiance is unmatched! The music was perfectly curated, the decor was stylish and thoughtfully done, and the seating was incredibly cozy. The shop was beautiful. It's the kind of place that makes you want to stay a while, and we did! The staff was so kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. And let's talk about the drinks...absolutely stunning and even more delicious. You can truly tell that a lot of thought and care goes into crafting each one. Every sip was perfection. I spent a few hours working here and found it super easy to focus and stay comfortable the entire time. The patio is also adorable, a great spot to relax or catch up with friends and it's Pet friendly . While the space was a bit smaller than I expected and it got pretty busy around noon, it wasn't an issue during the time I arrived. My only real wish is that there were a few more outlets available for laptop users. That said, this was hands down the best overall coffee shop experience I've ever had and I've been to quite a few! Whelp the lines are back to normal not a galactic pilgrimage to order. Even then it was worth the wait as this team just crushed one of the coolest themed events I've been able to enjoy. Good news is that just the regular degular menu and order experience is always the best. Come enjoy the hyperspace jump in a shorter line and always carefully crafted drinks with rotating new stuff all the time themed and unthemed. We were fortunate enough to be there for one of the truest to grace this space in Avden! Gonna miss that energy and wonderful smile. I died and went to coffee-drink heaven. I don't normally visit coffee shops, nor do I care for intricate or complicated coffee drinks. I have a fancy espresso machine at home - where I make my own almond milk for my almond milk lattes. But this... THIS... I'd leave my espresso machine for. The Coffee Builders is best known for their incredibly unique and inventive coffee drinks; I've never experienced a coffee bar like this. I went to The Coffee Builders with some colleague-friends, and we each had two drinks... we just couldn't stop at one. I started with one of their specialty drinks, the "Strawberry Fields," which was strawberry, pistacchio, espresso, and subbed for soy milk. The second drink I had was from their fall menu, the "Carpenter Bee," an Arizona honey chile latte. The presentation was next level... Am I at the Ritz Carlton, y'all? There's another coffee drink made with blueberries - BLUEBERRIES. Aside from the great coffees, is the beautiful decor. Love it when a coffee shop pics a theme - be it rustic, boho, modern, MCM, etc - and really goes all in. The decor and woodwork (handcrafted by the owner) is next level. Go there and experience it for yourself. But know they close at 2pm. read more
This place is soooo cool! Gives me Denver vibes with the wood walls and shaped ceiling (I know, not a good description, but it's a fun ceiling). It's an elevated interior which is a nice surprise to the simple white exterior. The velvet chairs are super comfortable and I could stay here all day. It's a tad darker in here so if you need a lot of light, head outside! I got the strawberry fields with oat milk. I usually go for the caramel or vanilla drinks, not fruity, but I just love this drink so much. And it's so pretty with the topping and the fancy glass it comes in makes the experience all the better. I definitely feel the caffeine! You can get any of their espressos as matchas. They have so many cool sounding syrups as well, so hard to choose. Will be back. Employees are very kind and quick service! read more

SO glad I found Coffee Builders! I've been aware of Porter Barn wood, but didn't know their owner opened a coffee shop next door! What a brilliant idea, to showcase some of their woodwork while creating a fun, relaxing space. It can get busy here and indoor seating is limited, but they have a large tree lined patio as well. Baristas are knowledgeable, very friendly and enthusiastic! Many of their seasonal and specialty drinks are just so pretty. Occasionally, there is a table side show to accompany the presentation of your drink (see photos/videos). This happened during my recent visit with hubby. Their pumpkin spice latte is served with crushed cinnamon sticks in a white oak smoker that is torched table side. Just a fun experience! Cappuccino is on point as well. Deviled eggs, sandwiches and salads are all delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more of their menu! read more
