It's always a great time at any one of Cheesecake Factory locations. I have been to this Pasadena location three times, but first time writing a review on them. My son and I walked in last night around 7pm, and we were nicely greeted by their host Emma. She wrote down my name and told me that "it won't take long for us to be seated". And it didn't. Considering the fact that it was Saturday night, our table was ready in less than 10 minutes. We started off with their Avocado Rolls, which is one of my favorite appetizers, then we also got few other dishes, both from their extensive menu. Their menu is literally a book. I LOVE IT!:-) Then we got their nicely round Mac n Cheese balls, comes in (4) that's topped with marinara sauce. Told our server Kim not too much on the sauce & she listened. Food overall tasted fresh, delicious and hot. I mean smoke was coming out of our meals. Portions were very generous according to the prices of our meals. Kim, along with one of the managers checked in twice to make sure everything was going well and it was. Let's not forget their warm, fresh, yummy basket of brown and white bread with butter. We started eating our appetizers/breads, until Kim brought out our main dishes which were Shrimp Scampi Pasta with generous size shrimp. (6) to be exact. Next up was their Steak Medallion with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I asked for my steak to be medium-rare & that's what I got. We didn't order anything to drink, but they do have a full bar. For dessert, this time we ordered their creamy, yummy decadent Tiramisu. We normally cleanse our palate with any one of their delicious cheesecakes. Don't know much about the parking situation since we parked on the street. Both restrooms were very clean along with their dining rooms. It's a nice, big restaurant with so much charm, decor, dim lighting and fine music playing overhead. We just love our Cheesecake Factory!! Thank you all very much. read more

My friend and I went to Cheesecake Factory in Pasadena last night and honestly had a really bad experience. This was actually one of my friend's FAVORITE restaurants. She would come here at least once a month and always loved it, which makes this whole situation even worse. Our waitress was Kim and when we ordered, we specifically told her that my friend has not eaten meat in a decade. We asked her to please make sure there was no meat in her food and she said okay. My friend ordered the Four Cheese Pasta. When the food came, she started eating it but said something tasted weird and eventually stopped eating it. We even told the waitress that we thought there might be meat in the pasta and she basically reassured us that there wasn't and that it had been checked. We ended up taking the pasta home and went through it because my friend still felt like something was wrong. Sure enough, we found what clearly looks and tastes like a piece of BACON in her pasta. I even tried it myself and it tasted like bacon. I attached a picture because this is seriously not okay, especially after we specifically told them she does NOT eat meat. My friend is honestly so upset and traumatized by this because she hasn't eaten meat in around 10 years. Even if someone simply chooses not to eat meat, that should be respected, but what if someone has an actual allergy?? When a customer specifically tells you about a dietary restriction, it needs to be taken seriously. Pasadena Cheesecake Factory needs to really work on this because this could be dangerous and it's unacceptable. It's just really disappointing because she loved coming here and this was literally one of her favorite places. We didn't actually stop in for food or dessert this time because we had already eaten lunch and had dessert down the street. We really just came in for a couple of drinks. We had 2 Mezcal Palomas which came to $40 bucks not including tip, so drinks are a bit more on the pricier side. However, it has been a few years since I've eaten at this particular Cheesecake Factory, and from what I remember, I had the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta dish here and it was really good. We sat at the bar and had your typical older gentleman bartender, not overly personable, but respectful, professional, and straight to the point. Most importantly, he made our drinks really well, and they were very tasty. I was almost tempted to order the Parmesan fries from the appetizer menu, but we were completely stuffed! The only reason I'm giving this location four stars is because of the smell. My boyfriend noticed it too. There was a mildew or musty kind of smell throughout the restaurant that made the atmosphere feel like it could use a really good deep cleaning. Other than that, it's a nice location that has been here for many years. They have a huge selection of menu items and, of course, all those great looking desserts. I haven't been to any Cheesecake Factory location in years but had the sudden craving when passing by the Old Town Pasadena location. My son and I were out school shopping, in need of the lunch, and tada craving took over. Jacoby was a very attentive server. Checked on us often and made sure we didn't wait long to order, be served, our food, the check etc. The menu hasn't changed much and I was pleased to see my favorite Shrimp Scampi was still available. I went straight for the chicken fettuccine alfredo... rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. I was lazy last night and wanted a DoorDash delivery. Ordered a steak Frites. It was a ribeye which I ordered rare. I have the say this was the best steak I've had for some time. A month ago I went to Flemings I ordered a prime ribeye rare and it was dry, and chewy. The opposite of what you expect. It was expensive. So, i recommend the dish. They have a huge menu, a lot of choices but salad was my only option as a temporary diabetic, also steaks but with modifications. My go to on the happy hour menu is the burger which is great value at around $10- sat down right away and after 20-25 minutes after ordering our server apologized because my burger was late. My wife's dish was ready so we asked that it be served and I would wait. A few minutes later the manager came by to apologize also and asked if I wanted a soup or salad while I waited at no cost. I said I would wait and my burger was out 1 minute later. It was so much bigger and better than before. Manager wanted us to have dessert on him due to the delay. I have been to this location many times and this is just a food review via delivery app. The online menu has linch versions so we split the Cobb Salad and the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Even though this was a delivery order they still include the two kinds of bread and butter. The chicken parmesan sandwich was good, chicken was still crisp, lots of cheese and a type of focaccia like bread and comes with fries. Was a busy Sunday afternoon when we decided to come here. We didn't have reservations so we were told we could sit by the bar area ! Well aside the counter bar seating, there were 2 round counter high tables with high chairs and we combined them to fit our group!! Our wonderful server took down our beverage and cheesecake orders! So Instagram and TikTok keeps saying that this is a made from scratch kitchen that's why everything takes so long. I was like huh why not I haven't eaten here in almost a decade. It wasn't crowded but they had blocked part of the restaurant so only certain areas can be serviced. Of all the times being in Old Town Pasadena, this was my very first time at this location. I've been to loads elsewhere as it's a major chain. Sunday afternoon, it obviously was busy. The restaurant isn't that big compared to other locations. There were a good amount of people waiting outside as well as inside. We walked in to see how long the wait was for two which was about 20 minutes. Instead we asked if it was open seating at the bar which it was. Bar area isn't that big. You have the counter with about 8 to 10 seats. Then 3 hi-top tables and 3 tables along the wall. Not sure if that's part of the bar area as we kept seeing people being seated by the waiters. There was a hi top available but it needed cleaning up. It took a couple of minutes for someone to come clean. Well, I'll just get to it. Service was so slow. After sitting down, we didn't know who the waiter was as we were trying to get a menu and some water. It took some time till some came over to talk to us. The guy was sweet though. After ordering, the bread came out. If you know Cheesecake Factory, you know the bread. Of course their menu which basically is a book...lol... There's pretty much so many items on there. But I did notice that some things have been taken out. I don't know if it's seasonal or they replaced it with something else. Oh well. We ended up going with the Cajun jambalaya pasta. That was with fettuccine, bell peppers, onions, shrimp and tomatoes in VERY spicy sauce as noted. Well, let's say it wasn't all it's cracked up to be. There was barely any sauce and it was pretty bland. It's only a full portion available which seemed more like a half portion. It was whatever. It sounded good but in reality, it was a miss. Second pasta dish was the chicken Parmesan pizza style. You have the chopped chicken breast which was VERY thin. I don't even know if it was chicken as it looked a bit odd when you take the sauce and cheese off of it. It's layered as that would be the crust of the pizza and on top was the pasta. Angel hair pasta in Alfredo sauce. I don't know what's up with both dish but there was barely any sauce on this as well. You couldn't taste the sauce instead it was more like buttered pasta. Even with loads of Parmesan. Both dish was skimpy on sauce. Chicken didn't seemed like chicken whatsoever. Between the two, I don't know which was better. Overall, I do like Cheesecake Factory. What can I say, I had to take my son to the cheesecake factory after he's been begging me to take him to Pasadena to visit where the "Big Bang Theory" took place. Although it was filmed in Burbank, California, we still had to go. Even though we did not see Penny or Bernadette, it was cool to see my son light up when he spotted the cheesecake factory. The greeter was very nice and gave us a table over by the front glass, and our waitress took our order very quickly, and we had both of our cheesecakes within a matter of minutes. Both were very good! My son got the Oreo cheesecake and I got the banana cream. Although prices were a little too high for the cheesecakes, I will still do it again. Came here this past Sunday night for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday! Place did not disappoint. As expected since it was the weekend there were lots of people waiting by the door for the table so it was a little crowded. However I had made a reservation online the night before so they let us in no problems. One thing I really appreciated was that they were very accommodating. Since I was running late, even though reservation was under my name they let my family get seated and adjusted the size since two of our party could not make it. (Originally reserved for 6 people). Overall ambiance of the restaurant is alright. It can feel a little crowded and dark lighting like most cheesecake factories. Since it's busy expect to have to wait a little bit if you need anything extra from the waiters Food wise I have no major complaints. I ordered the miso salmon which I thought was pretty well seasoned and sweet. (If only the portions were bigger!) I tried some of their steak too which I thought was cooked pretty well, probably prefer ordering their steak over salmon next time. Or just some pasta dish. It was also really nice of them to provide a free strawberry cheesecake and birthday sundae for my mom's birthday!
