The Bugman crew is amazing. I could not be happier. Alex is our service technician and he is courtesy, professional, caring, helpful and so very friendly! All the folks I speak to on the phone at The Bugman are just awesome and provide the best customer service and support! I wish I could give them more than the 5 stars allotted!! read more

Been working with the Bugman for a couple years now and are the absolutely best! We've been working with Ivan for over a year and is extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and quick and efficient. Excited in continuing working with the bugman! read more

Ok so I recently had a bed big infection, and I must say that my tech was amazing! His name was Ron, and he was just all around great, he was very patient because it always took me a little bit after he arrived to leave due to the fact that I have a baby, and he was very nice and friendly. My bed big infestation has gone down so much, I went from waking up with 20 new bites everyday, to only three, and sometimes none. After the month long treatments I am still getting bit though, and the company was very helpful and they are coming back to do more treatments to get those suckers gone. I definitely recommend this company. they are so helpful, and the job done for a fair price. read more

I have had The Bugman do my pest control for the past 2 years with great service by Andrew Archuleta who even set up rat boxes. The office staff was efficient in scheduling appointments. Eddie Hernandez recently did a very thorough termite inspection and discussed various solutions honestly. The localized treatment was done by Isaiah Chairez and wood rot repair by Nathan Harrison. Both gentlemen did their work superbly and meticulously. So glad I ran across The Bugman by accident when my 30 + year pest control company retired from the business. read more

Thank you Ivan and Mary for helping me so quickly today. You do great work with rodents and we live in the hills and unfortunately had to set rat traps. Your traps work and today you came when I called, after the bate worked and got one! How wonderfully efficient! Great job to Mary too for taking care when I called to get this little dead rodent out of here fast! read more

Today we had Nathan from The Bugman come and replace areas of dry rot around our window frames and under the eaves. He arrived on time, was very friendly, very professional, and did an outstanding job on the dry rot repair/wood frame replacement. I highly recommend the bugman for such services. The price is reasonable, and Nathan was very conscientious and professional in his work. Thank you for a job well done. read more

Our family has been using the Bugman for years, both at my parents home and now my family's new home in Brea. As soon as I started noticing ants I gave them a call. And as usual I haven't seen a single ant/roach or anything else inside since their treatment. Our tech Joaquin is also a great guy and very friendly. He always takes our puppy into consideration and makes sure any treatments are safe for him. I wouldn't call anyone else for my pest needs! read more

The bug man came to do local termite treatments on our house that was last fumigated at least 10+ years ago. The inspector, Robert, was informative and offered a military discount after he saw that my brother was in the military. We had Kilter quote us too, but their quote took more than two weeks to arrive and their customer service was really lacking. We went with the Bug Man in the end. The treatment was easy to schedule and took two guys about 3-4 hours to complete. About two weeks later, we had another termite company come in to quote us for wood repairs from the termite damage and they noted some places that were not treated. I contacted the Bug Man about this and Eric called me about my concern the next day to schedule another inspection. They returned to look over our entire house again and did find that some areas were not yet treated. They scheduled another guy to come in to do more treatments. Their customer service is pretty awesome and I will use them again in the future. read more

I have had the bugman service my house for the last 14 years. In the last year there service with my house has been awful I have had to call them after each visit to return and do the job right. This last service I had was it. After calling the day before and making sure that what was to be done was not. And I spoke directly to the manager which I felt he really did not seem to care about the issues before. So when I called today to cancel my service with them after 14 years. I have gone with another company that is family owned and seems like the perfect fit. I have better things to do than to right this review but I feel others need to be aware of how this company views a customer for 14 years. There lost. Awful customer service. read more

The BugMan is the best! My company moved into a building that had been vacant for a while, so to say the least we had a major bug problem inside and out of our 34,000sq ft. Mark Goldin came out and did the initial spray of the inside and out. Knocked down all the webs from windows, rafters, awnings etc. His attention to detail and his knowledge really set him apart from other places I have had to deal with. He set my company up with a maintenance plan and assured me the Tech that would be covering us going forward (since we weren't in Marks territory) would be just as great and he was right! Raul Espino came out this morning to do our quarterly service and he was kind, courtesy and professional. His attention to detail to knocking down all the webs and spraying all areas just as Mark did, has left me reassured I will not have to worry about anything in between services. He even told me his plan going forward for when the heat comes back! I'm extremely happy with my decision to go with The Bugman and I'm sure you will be too :) read more

I have been a regular customer of The Bugman for over 10 years now. The service is always excellent. The staff is friendly, and they are always on time. I have a termite contract with them. Because I do not like to tent my house, they do great spot treatments, and I have had them do some construction work during which they remove and replace some termite-eaten boards. Today I once again had excellent construction work done by them. The job was done very well and cosmetically looks great! I was so impressed with the two men who did the work that I will request that they return for any future repairs. Hats off to Tony Rubalcava and Nathan Harrison! Thank you for your beautiful attention to detail!!! read more

I called the main number and spoke to a woman for 10 minutes to schedule an appt 3 days out and she took all my personal information. I was told I would receive a call 30 min prior. I never got a call so called the main number and was told there was no record of me or my address, phone number etc. Really? Then they tried to make it appear like I was making this up. I asked to escalate to a Manager and was told they are busy but will call you back. Of course no call back...terrible customer service and will never use! read more

I have been using the services of The Bugman for a year now, and was very happy with the results until the last quarterly spraying, at which point I downgraded my rating to one star. I was immediately contacted by the company and John, a supervisor, came out and redid the job better than ever before, which is why I've upgraded my review. I am hoping this level of service will continue and I'm thankful for such prompt response from the company. read more

A big thanks to Rocky, the inspector who helped me out this morning. He was very patient (I was pretty freaked out) and answered all my questions, then offered a cost-conscious solution. I appreciate the care and will call the Bugman next time I need pest control. read more

There are reviews; and then, there are reviews. Most times everything goes as it should and everyone is happy. Sometimes something happens that really shows what a company is about. That is what happened this time to me. We had arranged with the Bugman to remove and replace our very old (1959) ceiling crawl space insulation. The estimate process was professional and the price reasonable so we approved the work. During the process of removing the old insulation, one of the workmen slipped and came through the sheetrock ceiling of our daughter's room. Fortunately, he did not go all the way through and he was not hurt which was our first concern. He was very upset, needless to say, and as I talked to him I reassured him the only thing that was important was that he was not injured and he assured me again that was so. Well, it was obvious all work had to stop until the ceiling was repaired and he got some plastic and sealed the hole which was about 3 foot in diameter. By the time I had told my wife that he was ok, he had already called his office and they had scheduled for the repairs to take place. It was a day later when the carpenter arrived and it took two days for the repairs to be completed. He worked tirelessly and efficiently. He also did a great job and the room ceiling now looks as if nothing had happened. After that, the original crew returned and finished removing the old insulation and replaced it with a new R30 rated insulation. The house is now much easier to keep cool and warm as a result. But, the whole point of this review is that it is one thing when a company comes in and performs a service and everything works the way one would like it to. It is another thing altogether when a problem is encountered and the company, because of it's conscientiousness, flawlessly recovers, take care of the problem, and then delivers the quality product or service. That is a great company. I would like to especially commend each of the workers for a job well done; Arturo Gonzalez; Daniel Montes; Edgar Hernandez; Mario Munoz; and Jeremy Nevarez. read more

Excellent service all around!! From the quick response and call back time, to the timeliness and friendliness of the exterminators, this place is just wonderful. They rid our home in fleas in less than 2 months when the average time it takes to get rid of fleas is 3-6 months! Super reasonable for the quality of service. Highly recommend for any bugs that you need exterminated! :) read more

Three carpenters from the Bugman came to my house last week to repair some dry rot and termite damage which the Bugman inspection had noted and pointed out to me. The carpenters were Nathan, Daniel and Oscar. They did a fabulous job. They fitted new wood pieces on my patio cover with the precision of a Swiss watch. They also replaced some very high second story header boards and did it with equal care and precision. I was very pleased with their work. They also cleaned up thoroughly afterwards so there was no sawdust or debris left anywhere. Overall, outstanding work. I will have no hesitation in using Bugman carpenters if I need wood repair in the future. read more

After nearly 7 years of not doing anything about termites in our house we finally decided to call several companies to acquire quotes. Searching for several companies and reading a lot about termites we decided to go with a local company called The Bugman rather than one of the bigger firms like Terminix. Online reviews of Terminix were not very good even though our neighbor down the street used Terminix a few years ago and didn't have a problem. All of the internet research stated to use a local company rather than a large fumigation corporation as a local company would try harder to obtain your business for the long term and were more focused on quality rather than quantity. A gentleman named Rick came over early in the morning from a company called the Bugman. The first thing we noticed about Rick is that he came accordingly to our schedule (7am) rather than push his own companies schedule. Rick was very nice, not pushy and answered all of the questions we had, such as mud wasps, 3 different types of termites, the type of damage we had, the process of fumigation and the number of years his company has been in business. We were expecting a large cost but were happy that Rick was willing to help reduce the overall fumigation (Tenting) and repair cost. The Bugman Company didn't oversell like the other fumigation quotes we received. We noticed that Terminix and two other companies' prices were nearly 45% more in cost and repairs. The day before (Sunday) fumigation tenting was to start, we packed all edible food in the house in special Nyloflume bags that Bugman (Rick) had provided us. We spent 6 hours packing everything that you can put in your mouth in these special nyloflume bags. This then lead to packing for 3 days to stay at a hotel, which meant all of the school books, computers, clothes and some food we ate at the hotel... Keep 1 full day open for all of the packing and forecasting of what you want to bring to the hotel as there is no going back to the house. Actually it turned out that we had so much old medicine and food in the refrigerators and cabinets that it was really good to clean up and throw out all of the old items !!! We stayed in a local motel (Motel 6) hotel for 3 nights near our home (Add this to your total cost - $50/night). The Bugman tenting team came right on time 11am Monday morning. Actually every single phone or house appointment we had with the Bugman, there wasn't a single missed appointment nor a delay of any kind. We were surprised to learn that the tenting part of the process is actually outsourced to another company by Bugman. While we were concerned about this, the company the Bugman has utilized for years is equally impressive. A gentlemen named Alberto Chavez noticed that all of the food bagging we did was tied incorrectly. Alberto actually went to every bag and helped us side by side tying it correctly. The team of 6 feverishly tented, sealed and sprayed the entire inside of the house. Since we have solar panels, they were very careful not to step on them and utilized carpets all of over the roof to protect the corner shingles, solar panels and pigeon spikes. Our biggest worry was getting our house robbed but they placed pepper spray in the house to deter any thieves and locked it air-tight as humanly possible. The company utilizes pepper spray and Vikane gas. Three days later Wednesday, the fumigation tent company came and removed the tent and left the house in the original condition received. Four days later we still haven't seen a single bug...YEAH!! The same week Friday, the Bugman company personnel (Elliott) who repairs and replaces the termite damaged wood came over right on the time (8am). Again the friendly and hardworking attitude of Elliott and the team was very impressive. While I went to work, my wife stayed and was duly impressed with their 5-6 hour of continues non-stop repairs and painting. While people may believe this is easy, it is absolutely NOT; when you have to cut, remove gutters, shingles, drain pipes and repaint entire 8 foot sections of wood weighing 15 pounds hanging 10-15 feet in the air without damaging any of the customer's existing roofing/gutter material. Even though my wife urged them to take a break and gave them coffee, chocolate, chips and salsa they never lost their focus. The Bugman's timing, logistics, instant communication via e-mail and cell phone was amazing throughout the entire process. A solid 5 out of 5 stars to Rick Moore, Mary (Bugman Receptionist), Desiree, Alberto Chavez, Elliott (Wood Repair) and rest of the personnel we dealt with through-out the entire process. Regards, Rastogi Family read more

Over-priced, inflexible, lack of follow-through, delayed my close of escrow by three days.

I've received impeccable service from this company. I hired them to inspect and treat my house for termites. Their bid was competitive with the other 2 vendors I received quotes from. I recently noticed that they missed a repair from the original work done nearly a year ago and they are scheduled to come address the overlooked area, under warranty. I also began using their quarterly insect control for spiders and fleas. This made a huge impact on the volume of spiders I encounter. Every technician I have worked with and every office representative I've spoken to has been incredibly professional and very friendly. Nicely done! read more

Isaac is amazing in dealing with my quarterly roach treatment and recent bedbug treatment for my four-plex. He went over everything very thoroughly and kept my cost down as much as possible. What I thought would have been about $4,000 with other companies was $895 with The Bugman because Isaac knew exactly what treatment to use, and he followed up to make sure all bedbugs were gone. I recommend The Bugman heartily! read more

We discovered termites while painting the exterior of our home. We called a few termite companies (Antimite, Terminex and Bugman) to survey the situation. Bugman by far did the most thorough job of inspection and gave us many options to choose from to treat. Please note their quoted prices were half of what the others quoted for the same work. We chose to eradicate and did the full tent and also subterranean treatment. Bugman did a fantastic professional job and now we are bug free. We are happy to call ourselves Bugman customers and will enjoy the annual inspection service they offer. read more

We had a termite problem at our house & Ben Chavez was such a pleasure to work with. My mom, Tina, made the call for a consult & estimate. They made the almost 2 hour drive down from Anaheim to our place in San Diego and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. They were on time, friendly and very thorough. They explained our options & we honestly wanted a second opinion. What a waste of our time!! The second company didn't even show up or bother to call to say they weren't coming- didn't even answer my calls or texts! Then a week later when they finally did show up they hardly checked anything. Just a quick walk through & said they didn't see a problem. Which wasn't true because had the bugs & damaged wood to prove it. And to top it off, they didn't even leave an estimate! We obviously called The Bug Man back & they were out to treat our house quickly. The guy who came out, George Cruz, was so nice and explained what he was doing and cleaned up after himself as if he was never there. And best of all- no more termites!! Thanks guys! I highly recommend you to anyone with a bug problem. read more

A few weeks ago my wife and I discovered that we have termites. Given how potentially destructive they can be and how expensive things can get we were horrified. We immediately started doing online research trying to find a reputable company to come over and inspect our home for the extent of the problem and what our possible remedies might be. We became disillusioned looking at the reviews because some of the biggest pest control companies, the one's you readily think of when you think of these things, get horrible reviews. One of the biggest only had a one or two star average. I then recalled a KFI radio ad about The Bugman and decided to check them out. Because their reviews were overwhelmingly positive, we decided to call them. They sent an inspector named Jason out to inspect our home. He arrived on time, neatly dressed and ready to get to work. His positive attitude and friendly attitude went a long way in making my wife and I feel a little bit better. He very patiently answered the endless questions we had. Although he did discover we had termites, we were greatly relieved to hear him suggest "spot" treatment versus the more common tenting procedure that most people think of. Jason felt pretty confident that his company could solve our termite problem with spot treatment alone. We were impressed that The Bugman (Jason) was this honest given they would have made a lot more money had they pushed the tenting procedure. We were at his mercy. We didn't know any better so it would have been easy to lie to us and push the tenting option. We set up an appointment. Only a week later their applicator, Miguel Cortes showed up on time and neatly dressed in his companies uniform. We were impressed with Miguel and his friendly, outgoing, patient demeanor. He never showed any impatience as we followed him around and asked our endless questions about the things he was doing, the likelihood they'd work and what our options were if they didn't. He truly had the patience of Gandhi. Miguel further impressed us with his professionalism, and the methodical, patient way in which he went about addressing our infestation. He was very, very knowledgeable about the various issues related to termites and pest control in general. He really knows his stuff. He left us confident that his treatment was probably going to work and that if it didn't and a second application was required, they'd come out and readdress things as part of their warrantee. Nobody wants termites. Depending on the extent of the problem, it can be a major disruption to your life. The Bugman and its professional employees made the whole process as painless as this sort of thing could possibly be. We cannot recommend The Bugman enough and will unhesitatingly use them in the future should we need the services of a pest control company again. read more

Had Tony come out to do our inspection after noticing strange sawdust on our bedroom floor that kept coming back even after I vacuum. He showed us several other areas where there were termites active and recommended treatment only. We had other estimates from other companies who wanted to tent this up we certainly didn't want to tempt the darn house. So we went with the bug man I'll never call another company again. Two technicians one named Miguel the other one I can't remember right now were very professional highly detailed and did a great job. I'm recommending them to my neighbors also! Thanks bugman! read more

We recently needed our home inspected for termites as required to complete escrow. Because we have been using The Bug Man for annual inspections, the damage at this time was slight. Treatments are covered as per our contract with the company. We then asked them to make the repairs, which included replacing some boards, and then painting. All of this was accomplished within about three hours by Narciso, Luis, Nathan, and Tony and at a reasonable price. They were all highly professional. We will continue using The Bug Man at our new home in a nearby community. Thanks, guys! read more

Couple weeks ago I thought I saw a house mouse in my house. I was very frighten and called the bugman to get a quote. I have done bug services with them in the past and had a great experience with them so I knew I could trust them. JEFF KIM came the next day and worked with my work schedule. He walked my entire house and looked in every nook and cranny of my house inside and out. Just so he could give me the correction information by his finding. As a result he said I had a at least 2 small house mice and he found the entry way of where the mice may of come in from. From that point he quoted me a price explained the plan to me and exactly what I would expect. I agreed to complete the process. He was able to start the service right then and there. Told me what he was going how many traps he was putting and where. What I should be looking for or listen to. Told me what I should do going forward so this won't be a bigger issue later. The plan I purchased included 3/4 check ups and for any clean up. He told me if I needed anything that I could give him a call. Just a couple days later I had smelled something but too scared to look and confirm. He said not to worry that he would be able to come that same day to check it out. He came and the traps he set up he found 2 mice in them. He cleaned up the area and replaced the traps and added a few more just in case. He will be coming back 3 other times for check ups. JEFF KIM made the entire process very easy and safe. He made sure I understand the plans and answered all my questions. He knew I was fearful of this mice and made sure I was at ease and reassured me that he would help me. Thank you Jeff for helping me feel normal again in my own home :) I appreciate your time and energy with my home and family. read more

We had another company contracted thru our HOA come out to get rid of the rats that had been in our attic and around our association. They were TERRIBLE. They would set traps and leave and forget to come back! (OC Pest Control). They did this twice and also to our neighbors. When The Bug Man got here, it was a totally different story. He had a plan for taking pictures, a 4 week treatment to lower the rat population, setting strategic traps in the attic, repairing places in the garage that were damaged and observing/maintaining bait boxes around the neighborhood. It was such a relief to finally feel like something would be changed. Plus Tony was very polite, friendly and empathetic to my situation. read more
