One of my favorites. Probably "qualifies" as a dive bar, but that may send an incorrect image of this gem. The staff is awesome, twenty four "on Tap" selections. A lot of hard liquor choices, but if it requires a blender--refer to its name--if it requires a blender... "they're out of that." Salmon/steak bowls, burgers and wings, etc. My first choice when dining out. Love this place!

Walking around on a quiet Sunday morning we decided to dip into The Broken Blender-WOW Whet a nice treat. We were pleasantly pleased while we walked in & met one of the owners with a wealth of knowledge about his history in Anchorage. While talking to this man he promotes concerts in Anchorage & to find out he puts on the Back Yard BBQ Events that we just went to last week which I might say was Fricken Fabulous!! To get back to The Broken Blender this place is clean & friendly in saying that we will be coming back for some appetizers. They have 24 beers on tap & if you can't find something to make you happy I don't know what will... Give this place a try, maybe I'll see you here!

Great place for a drink, nothing fancy, simple. We had some wings too, they were average but good. Titus, the bartender is a great addition, which elevated our rfrom 3/5 go 4/5. He's personable and easy to chat with. We had a couple of beers then finished with his Old Fashioned, very good. So stop by and have a drink. We will be back.

Local dive bar with weekly events! Check them out for one or their poker or trivia nights. Sunday afternoon trivia as well! Loved the loaded tots. Had that as a hearty meal on a rainy day and it really did the trick. Staff was busy but very attentive and friendly. Start a conversation and they will really open up!

Best tots in Anchorage!

We went here on a Wednesday night. We both had kind of mixed feelings. The ambiance is almost exactly the same as the Matanuska Brewing location it has replaced. The main thing you'll notice is that it is very, VERY loud. There were not many people when we were hear, and we were at the verge of shouting to understand each other. Not necessarily a bad thing if you're looking for somewhere rowdy, but just something to note. The main selling point of this spot is that they have affordable cocktails, and I can happily report that they definitely do! We both got different margaritas, and we both thought they were decent. However, we both realized we weren't really margarita people and aren't really fare judges of quality. I just saw "mezcal" (a smoky favorite) and immediately ordered. They were definitely on the sweet side, and the price was definitely right! While the cocktails don't have the double-digit sticket-shock, they were also pretty common cocktails. Again, not saying it's good or bad, just don't expect anything too weird or out-of-the-ordinary! The taps: that is an aspect I am very disappointed in. I wish they had more from our smaller, craftier breweries: Turnagain Arm, Girdwood, Anchorage Brewing Company, Cynosure and less from our massive ho-hum breweries: Alaskan Brewing, King Street, Denali. Most of what is on tap here is what you could get at a mediocre Oakenkeg or Brown Jug location. For food, I got the blender burger and it was amazing! A fantastic melding of flavors, one of the better burgers I've had. However, unlike the cocktails, the price was quite high at $14...and it was ala carte. We did get an order of tater tots to share and to The Broken Blender's (TBB) credit, the portion was great for 2-people and these were also the best tots I've ever had in Anchorage. They had a made-from-scratch feel that no other tots in town have! TBB is definitely worth trying if anything above sounds appealing. If they get some more local-focused taps, I will definitely return for a beer and a burger!

So fun!! This rebranded and new ownership of a bar is up and running and killing it. We had Caroline as our waitress and I would recommend you asking for her. The tomato bisque soup was fire ! The burgers and sliders were great with a nice blend of flavors and the charcuterie board were awesome as well. The loaded tots did not disappoint. Drinks were a great pour also. Killer staff and vibes and the outside deck is super vibes. They show the ufc fights too

The service here is great, Caroline was our server on both visits and did an awesome job. The drinks are made well. The food was a little underwhelming. They started strong with some great fried cheese sticks. Those were delicious. The burger was a little lacking. The toppings and bun were good, but the meat patty was small and tasted like it had been in the freezer a little too long. I'd gladly pay a little extra for better beef. The patio outside is great for soaking up some of the great Alaska sunshine. The Broken Blender is a fun place worth checking out!

Service was great! Live music provided by a young man. Not too loud. We really enjoyed the spicy aioli. Were not expecting the raw salmon. Would have preferred it cooked.

This place is good. Highly recommend reservations. They leave space for walk ins but when we walked…read morein it looked like a considerable wait. Had the Dark Horse, Wagyu tartare, pickles, and the crudo. All fantastic. Extensive whisky list as well, with a ton of Japanese whiskies. Good date spot too!

We started with bao buns, or whisky pork buns, which is one of her birthday dinner requests. I got the Dark Horse ramen and she the Business Lounge ramen. We both liked our ramen, and I think I'd get a ramen with a peanut sesame base next time, but found it a bit rich for the wallet. Still, great service and taste. We got the Chocolate Birthday Cake for dessert and they topped it with a cute candle. Lastly, whiskey spelled without the "e" is Scottish, which is what I learned in Scotland, and with the "e" in Ireland. Also, during Pangaea 4 continents had been merged and when split left 4 types of peat, which is why Scottish whisky is so sought after. I've been schooled about Japanese whisky, but when in Anchorage you can get it one of the whiskys at Ginger. Had my sister try on of the Japanese whiskeys in Scotland as part of her flight. It's a must try. I will come again, and will enjoy it, but just kinda squint at the cost...

We had planned on stopping at the Bar upstairs, but our timing was off so we decided to swing into…read moreFletcher's instead. There was a line out the door to be seated, but it went quite fast they were doing a great job at getting folks in the hostess was super nice! The ambiance was nice as well, a mix of folks that were clearly travelers and a handful of people that looked like they were long time regulars. Our server was nice and informative and our dishes were served in a timely fashion. We each had a salad and shared a pizza. The dough was DELICIOUS, and the salads were fresh and didn't taste like bagged lettuce which is refreshing. We did have to wait an extremely long time to find our server at the end then even longer to find him again to pay our tab, which is why only four stars but we will for sure go back.

A few hits and misses here. I liked the ambiance, it's like an old-timey "upscale" British pub. The…read moremenu is large and inviting with lots of good looking eats. Our table had the following: 6 oysters Rockefeller, 1 fried calamari, a half size blackened halibut Cesar salad, a grilled ribeye steak and an Alaskan halibut fish and chips. Food notes: the oysters were super fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked so that they were only broiled on top and still almost rare below. However the toppings could've been improved with better bacon, and maybe a touch more spinach. Even a small dollop of Béarnaise sauce would've been better than the Parmesan. Nevertheless this was probably my favorite bite of the night. The halibut on the fish & chips was also fresh flaky and really tender. The chips were like thin steak fries that had been battered but were still under seasoned. They weren't great, and no one ate them even our toddler who loves fries. The blackened halibut on the salad was tougher, and dry. There were too many store-bought croutons and the salad dressing was possibly store-bought too and bland for a Cesar. The ribeye was totally sad. It was quite thin and unimpressive especially for the cost. It came with more of those dismal fries and some plain broccolini. Our steak-loving dinner companion only ate about half and didn't care to doggy-bag the rest so it went to waste. Calamari was average, and came with two oily amateur-chef looking sauces, one mayo flavored and one somewhat spicer was basically the same as the first. Our excellent waiter mixed up a cocktail sauce himself that blew the other sauces out of the water. Bravo to him. He was the best while waiting on us also, quick to refill a water or retrieve more drinks from the bar. Good thing the Rockefeller was great, I'd be back for that alone ($6/per oyster) but otherwise I don't think I'd rush back to Fletcher's. Many other eateries in the area that are tastier, with equally difficult parking.
