It was disappointing, especially considering that the place was still operating as usual and serving everyone already inside. If an establishment is truly closing early for the holiday, that's understandable but at least make it clear or adjust the posted hours so customers aren't misled. Instead, it came across as rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Being turned away while the restaurant is clearly open doesn't just feel unwelcoming it feels like the opposite of hospitality.
