Beef dip & cashew chicken salad
Ardy R.

The cashew chicken salad is SOOOOO yummy. They include a whole chicken breast and the dressing is lovely. Husband always gets the beef dip with French fries. Today they forgot to add the au jus, but he says it was still good. We order for pick-up because we aren't huge fans of the tiny restaurant, but the food is so delicious. Total for both was $37.50 + small tip for the bartender who took our order over the phone.

Super friendly service, and outside seating is so good in 61°F Summer is here. The cucumber drink is a little sweet, but delicious. I'm very excited to try the eggs bennedict!! So far, I am loving it here!!

The best calamari I've had in a while. Done very well! The restaurant is pretty small and service was very slow but my server was friendly and I enjoyed what I ordered.

It's alright. This place was formerly known as the Bradley House and...I still don't understand the re-brand? Everything feels very similar. Above average ambiance. Mediocre taps. (what is up with this trend taking over Anchorage where Matanuska/King Street are the only breweries on tap? They are the most mediocre breweries in town and...we have many others that are much better!) I got a steak salad off hours, it was delicious. But, at $19 it was also overpriced. The steak salad at Tent City Taphouse is larger, tastier, and cheaper. This one really left me wanting another. Might be worth a visit if you're already in this area, I wouldn't make a special trip here though.

No wait.

We were out early Saturday morning running some errands and sour of the moment wanted a nice brunch. Went to Sputh to find out there was over an hour wait so moved on. Manhattans was close and we were hungry. Ambiance was nice and there was as no wait. It was bustling inside and people seemed to be enjoying their food. Hubby ordered chicken fried steak fast which was huge and came with a rich cream sauce. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the French dip with clam chowder. Neither was spectacular and both were good. I have had better. Mom ordered clam Alfredo appetizer since she can't eat a lot. Both hubby and I tasted and it was really bad. So bad if I had ordered I would have sent it back. Just tasted off like canned clams and very foul. Overall I would go back on a sunny day to enjoy cocktails outside and be careful as to what I would order. Safer to stick either way burgers, Sammie's or common breakfast items. Waitress was very nice.

We were with friends trying to decide where to go on Friday night knowing it would probably be very difficult to get in somewhere at 6-7 but we thought heck let's give it a try... We drove into the packed parking lot and on this gorgeous night we wanted to sit outside so went to the patio and there was plenty of seats. We were greeted quickly by our server I believe her name was Jeannie (she's been there for 24 years) great service & wonderful food also thought the prices were fair in today's times.

Today was our first visit to Manhattan Restaurant & Lounge. We arrived shortly after opening. The place was mostly dead but their space I'd describe as light, bright, and welcoming. Lots of windows and a great space for outdoor dining. They have a great food menu with an even better drink menu. Our waitress was welcoming, kind and apologetic but we lost her shortly into our meal. We were very grateful for the awareness and eye contact of their incredible male bartender. He kept our drinks coming. He is amazing and should be recognized. Food was great. Wings were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Chicken fried steak was quality. Our burger patty was cooked well while also not being dry. We have no real complaints outside the service, but we understand it's been hard for businesses to keep employees. Employers have had to deal with less than, and in turn, we as customers have to deal with less than, it is what it is. Haha

Came here the other night to give them a try. Seems very much like Bradley House still - just some of their decor has changed. Food and menu wise also resembles Bradley House. Did they just do a name change? The food was OK! It was decent but not amazing. Portions are huge. Their fries were really crispy though - I did enjoy those a lot. Service - they need to work on. Its opening seating and their servers seem to not communicate with one another on who has which table. I was at the table for 15 mins before someone walked over and said they thought someone else had our table. Weird that they don't even greet you upon arrival? I even looked the guy behind the bar dead in the eye - and they still never said hello or let me know someone would be with us soon.

Ribeye no mashed potatoes. Cooked perfectly medium rare.

Very pleasantly surprised. Stopped in July 3rd for dinner since other places were either closed or very busy, and our main reason for stopping in was wanting outdoor seating. We found a nice table and were promptly watered. I ordered the ribeye medium rare with extra veggies instead of mashed and pop got the halibut. We both were very happy with our choices, and my steak was perfectly cooked. Our server was fantastic and I would gladly sit in his section again. Outdoor seating had a few tables well spaced apart, and the sound of water fountain created a nice ambiance as well as drowning out the sound of traffic on Old Seward. Good time and good food ensured my interest in coming again in the future.

Unforgivable! I wanted to love this pizza so badly but I cannot allow anyone else to spend $28.00 on a dried out, over cooked order of cheese bread. In addition, the margarita was all ice, and tasted like your typical Jose Cuervo margarita. The calamari was good and fairly thick, enjoyed by everyone. The seafood pasta had a good flavor and loaded with seafood, truly the one meal I enjoyed. The fish and chips had 3 large portions of halibut, with a heavy fried batter, and average fries. It didn't taste better than your average fish and chips, and I'm glad I didn't personally order this dish. The kids chicken and rice had a surprisingly large amount of chicken with bland rice. The scallop risotto, just simply wasn't very good, it wasn't bland, but the flavor was lacking, and of the 3 that tried it, no one ate much. The kids dessert was called house made sorbet, and my kiddos were so excited to eat it. They tried one bite and almost cried, he said it tasted like broccoli, and I laughed and tried it myself...no kidding, this tasted like broccoli!! It was absolutely awful, like one of those gag jelly beans. I was expecting a high bill, but the hidden charges at the end really added to our disappointment. I regret coming here

Seating is made up of booths along the window perimeter, tables thru the middle area and a large bar area with more tables and stools along the counter. The menu selection is surprisingly diverse. I was happy to see halibut as the fish for their fish & chips, as it is often cod or other white fish. I find halibut to be the best. They also have a few dishes with nods to Korean and Thai flavors. There are pizzas and dinner salads too. I went with their bacon jam burger for dinner. It is cooked to your liking and has a grilled apple, cambozola, bacon jam, arugula & house mayo. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors complement each other so well. If you are a fan of bleu cheese you will really love the cambozola. It is creamy and oozy and is amazing on a burger. My spouse tried their Cuban sandwich and didn't like that the pickles were mediocre and didn't add to the overall flavors, and that the bread wasn't crisped or toasted in any way -- the way Cubans traditionally are. He also took a chance with a appetizer off the specials menu which he imaged was Brussels sprouts however it was shaved sautéed Brussels sprout leaves, over warm couscous with lots of fresh herbs, jalapeños, and heavily spiced with bold spices like fennel. It was bizarre and not like anything we've ever tried. We liked some of the flavors but all together didn't make sense to us so we sent it back, unfortunately. Our child tried the Mac and cheese that came with purple grapes and sorbet. The Mac and cheese was good although I'd advise SRH to try a larger noodle than a small shell so kids can stab it better and get it in their little mouths. The sorbet must be seasonal/rotating bc it was cinnamon honey pear and it was crazy delicious. I'd come back for just the sorbet tbh. Other than that our red-haired bespectacled server was fairly attentive and quite friendly, even on a very busy Friday dinner rush. Parking lot just outside seems easy enough as long as you can grab a spot at busy times. Will be back in the future for the fried halibut (and sorbet!).
