A must stop if you're visiting in Anchorage!! The shop is very quaint & offers a lot different variety of bakery, breakfast, & lunch options. Everything is made from scratch & you can tell. The shop is also very cool because there are other business connected into the building. Was so good we went back twice!

Great looking and great tasting croissants! Fantastic bread sold too. Wish I can try all of it. So far, we have tried the scones, muffins and croissants. Will be back while we are still here in Anchorage. Service is quick. Lots of crew to help customers.

Scones were delicious and coffees were really good. Love the rustic ambiance and the counter is in front of the bakery kitchen. You can see the goods coming out of the oven. Service is from a counter, fast and had enough people. We didn't get to try the sandwiches because it was a Monday and Tuesday. But we'll be back for sure.

Great place to grab a morning treat! Popped in here to grab a few pastries before road tripping from Anchorage. What a great decision! The birdseed bars were great for travel and the muffins were delicious! Everything was very reasonably priced and happy to support a local bake shop. If you're in the area and looking for some treats, try Fire Island Bakeshop. Enjoy!

This place was overall great! I was about to give 4 starts because of how incredibly busy this place was + the anxiety of not being able to find a table to sit! (seat yourself place but we did end up snagging a table last minute!) BUT that is not the businesses fault and actually is a testament to how good the place is! This is NOT a quick pit stop place though, you will wait in line for a good amount of time if you come but I would say it's worth it. The sandwiches we got were pretty good and the worker I interacted with was very nice and gave a great recommendation since what we originally wanted was sold out. I got the ham and swiss sandwich which was perfect and the peruvian chicken sandwich was full of flavor! Since it is a little marketplace, just note that you do buy the food and drinks in separate areas. I don't think that is a big deal just something to note since you'll have to wait in two seperate lines! The atmosphere is cute and cozy and has plenty of natural light which is nice! And for how busy it was, I don't' recall it being overly loud in there! If you are looking for a cute place to check out in the area, I would check this place out! Plus, look how pretty the coffee cups are!!!

Loved this place. This place surprised me from the quality and taste of the food to the ambience. Super quaint. I'm vegetarian so I got the vegan and gluten free corn chowder with bread. On the spicier side but tolerable with bread. Perfect for those who can handle a little spice. I also got the beet sandwich which was surprisingly amazing. I can eat that multiple times. The cafe is great. Chat tea latte was perfect. They charge an extra dollar, I believe, for milk substitution. Love that this place has a bakery, cafe, and smoothie joint. Definitely a place to visit when visiting Anchorage.

My friends and I came here on a weekday and the place was packed! We were hoping to have a meal here but the kitchen was closed which was disappointing. There wasn't enough seating to sit down and work so we ended up just getting coffee and leaving.

Started our day with an amazing experience at this local bake shop! Easily walkable from most downtown Anchorage. Everything is baked fresh daily, in-house. While waiting to order, you can watch all the bakers perfecting their craft creating tasty treats. The ambiance is lively, bright and airy. My wife had the Croissant with chocolate. It was very buttery, flaky and tasty. I had the mixed berry scone. It was packed with strawberries, blueberries and rhubarb. Definitely need to check it out if I'm downtown Anchorage.

Customer service: 4 Affordability: 4 Cleanliness: 5 Location: 5 Parking: 4 We visited this bakery this summer, while we were visiting the Anchorage area. We decided to stop by based on their Google and Yelp reviews. They have a small parking lot, so we had to find nearby street parking. It's a popular local bakery, so we had to wait a few minutes to get 2 muffins to go. The staff was very friendly and professional. The muffins were kind of dry, but they were served warm.

What a cool fantastic spot. I picked up a ham and cheese herb scone and an Alaskan berry scone. In not a big Scone person but that savory scone was the best I've ever had. It's an open concept bakery in you, see everyone baking in the back. The team at the front desk were simply awesome and the place was clean and organized. I asked if they had espresso and they informed me that the coffee shop across from them had espresso. There is also a large seating area where you can get your scones, coffee and cookies macaroons muffins, and enjoy.

Very cute shared space with other shops at K Street Market! The workers were very nice and helpful. I got a handful of baked goods (ham, chive, cheddar scone and strawberry mango cupcake) and a Peruvian chicken sandwich! Everything I consumed was delightful and delicious. Plenty of seating inside. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a snack or quick lunch in the Anchorage area.

Bright, cute bakery with lots of seating. Serving cakes, pastries, and savoury items (soups and sandwiches). Omg the SCONES *drool* - dense, buttery, NOT dry, not to sweet. Crispy on the outside, a touch of salt. Fresh raspberries. We tried them right out of the oven. My sister said the alfajore ($5.50) was excellent, not to sweet too. On the pricier side but you are paying for real quality items.

I was right, as I walked in they sold the very last thing of what I wanted. But gosh am I glad- it forced me to try something new. I didnt take a picture because it was so cold out and my hands were frozen, but it was a beautiful, elongated bakery treat. It had lovely purple Ube cream and touch of oreo crumbs on top, the base was essential much like a flat cruller, but if higher quality. It was sensational! I bought my husband something that looked lower carb that had coffee cream that also enjoyed. I got my husband custom cold jasmine sugar free tea, and I got a frosty honeydew melon drink. It was a little spendy, but its nice to have a treat one on a while.

It's like a croissant baked in a waffle form, but a bit denser than a regular croissant. What really made it special was the Ube cream -- a light, buttery frosting that wasn't too sweet. Easily a 10/10 for me. I also ordered the Ube Cruffin, which had that same croissant-like texture in a muffin shape. The inside had a light cream filling, and the top was covered with the same Ube cream. It was good, but not quite as amazing as the Croffle -- 7/10. The Ham Banh Mi was tasty and filling (6/10), and the Boba Milk Tea was decent too (6/10). Oh and I got to taste their smoked salmon chowder that my friend ordered. Very good flavor, body, and richness (8/10). Everything I had was good but nothing that was as memorable as the Ube Croffle, but it wasn't cheap -- I spent a total $32 for a sandwich, drink and 2 pastries. Then again, prices in Alaska tend to be higher in general. Overall, even though I've only been once, I'd definitely come back for that Ube Croffle -- it was the real highlight!

Each tart had its own unique flavor, perfectly balanced and not too sweet, which made it way too easy to keep reaching for another. The chocolate raspberry cake was a standout--rich, moist, and layered with just the right amount of tartness from the raspberry filling. What really surprised me was how satisfying everything tasted without feeling heavy or overly sweetened--and even better, it didn't spike my blood sugar the way most desserts do. You can tell there's intention behind the ingredients and how everything is made. They also have plenty of other baked goods like cookies, brownies, and more, so there's definitely something for everyone. The staff are friendly, and the bakery itself is so cute--such a welcoming little spot that makes the experience even better. If you're looking for treats that feel a little more thoughtful but still indulgent, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

I feel like while I'm acknowledged, it's mainly with a stare. It was like this last time we came in as well. I absolutely do not like the savory rolls. I've had the ham and the reindeer sausage. Both are very small (which you don't know that because they're pre-bagged) -- they were just so oily it wasn't enjoyable. I still like the Apple fritter or whatever it was I got. It looked like a fritter but it's topped with a dollop of cream cheese frosting so maybe it's some kind of cinnamon roll. It wasn't labeled so I'm not sure. My partner ate all of his pastries but didn't comment. I like that they raise funds for the community. It's not a bad shop, but I'm very big on customer service. It's also not close so I tend to go to closer bakeries

I almost passed out when I had to pay 5.75 for a 12oz mocha. Their rent must be extremely high here. None of their menus on the counter or the wall had any prices, well they did but they blacked them out. None of the specials had prices, the food too. So they can change them how they see fit. I just don't really like that business practice, I think it's kind of shady. They are way too high as well. Nobody should be paying that for espresso. Mocha did taste decent though, and not too hot which I appreciate I didn't burn my mouth. The worker was very quiet and when I left she sat on the couch with her phone. Happy to support small businesses but I won't go out of my way to come here or ever pay that much for a mocha. Those are *bucks prices.

Why are they my favorite? Because there simply isn't anyone better. Most of their recipes are really tasty, but sometimes (like today) they're super dry because they serve things that have been apparently left out too long and/or baked a touch too long. The last time I custom ordered a cake, there was a hair in it. And for the price I paid, I was shocked at how small it was. This seems to be the norm in Alaska.
