Everything was delicious. The bread that came with the salmon chowder had a nice crust, good tang taste and soft on the inside. The scone was not dry and the croissant was moist. The salmon sandwich and the salmon chowder had similar flavor profiles so I would pick one or the other next time. We came here at 9:20am and was able to find seating. It starts to pick up and get busy at 9:30am. It's bright and well lit and there are cute shops in the same area. read more

My husband and I shared: - Alaska Smoked Salmon & Cucumber Sandwich - Goat Cheese, Artichoke Heart, Potato, Tomato Focaccia - Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake - Raspberry Danish I really enjoyed everything. The Focaccia was my favorite and my only regret is not getting the second one they had with different toppings. Salmon can be hit or miss for me depending on the preparation, but when in Alaska, you have to have salmon. This one is a hit. For dessert, I loved the cupcake. It was angel food cake making it very light with strawberry filling. Absolutely delicious. If we hadn't visited on one of our last days, we likely would have been back here many times on our trip. read more

After trying it, I understand why there is a line out the door. These baked goods are incredible. My wife and I shared the Alaska Smoked Salmon & Cucumber Sandwich; a Goat Cheese, Artichoke Heart, Potato, Tomato Focaccia; a Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake; and a Raspberry Danish. I would have any one of them again but the savory item that I enjoyed to most was the focaccia. And as for the sweets, I really enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake. This place was worth the hype! I went on a Saturday morning and it was busy with a line to the door, but the service is quick so it went pretty fast. It was really nice to see everything is freshly baked every day, and the quality shows. I got the sausage focaccia and a chocolate cupcake, but after poking my friend's scone, got back in line for a ham and cheddar chive scone. The sausage focaccia was amazing, perfectly soft bread with the right amount of toppings.. 11/10! I normally don't get scones because they're usually hard or dry, but the scones at Fire Island are super moist and perfectly crunchy where they should be.. literally the best scone I've ever had! They have a ton of tables to relax and chat, and they're right next to the That Feeling Co so you can grab a drink to go with your food. They offer a variety of sandwiches and pastries, all decently priced, so if I'm ever back in Anchorage I'll definitely be back! read more

The line is out the door here for a reason. We had the veggie egg sandwich and it was delicious. I was worried about how a cold egg sandwich would be but it ended up giving room for more flavors. The roll managed to be both light and hearty, and the poached egg was a great texture combined with the avocado. We also got a chocolate croissant which was buttery, rich, and amazing. We just got take out but the place is light and clean and housed in a small food hall with some other fun options. read more

We smelled this bakery walking by one morning, and we immediately knew we had to visit the next day. We tried savory breakfast focaccia and sweet berry scones, both of which had great textures and flavors. There was a line at the counter, but it moved quickly. We go for the baguette, the sandwiches and sometimes the flaky pastries. Muffins and scones and some of the cookies at mid, at best. Soup is usually fantastic. For those complaining about lack of coffee options, there's a place to get your bougie coffee inside the plant store. Photo is of the "chocolate" croissant we got today. The best bakery in downtown Anchorage along side That Feeling Company, Johnny's Market, and La Bodega. This small K street Market was hopping on a Saturday morning with a line out the door. It was well worth the wait and they did a fantastic job keeping up with the locals and tourists swarming to enjoy the goods. I ordered a loaf of the vollkornbrot, onion poppyseed rolls, and pecan shortbread cookies. All divine! read more

- breakfast focaccia with sausage: a bit on the bland side, it's missing something. Maybe a pesto or red pepper sauce. The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb. read more

One of my favorite bakeries I look forward to going to when I visit Anchorage. The variety of pastries breads, soups and sandwich they have always look mouthwatering. It's just a cute place to vibe at and be around the community.There is a coffee shop, plant shop, juice shop and small market in the same building which makes it worth the stop. The seasonal ginger bread chia tea from the coffee shop is like Christmas in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is like thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and pecans. The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. This place was wonderful! I definitely recommend coming here if you're in town, delicious breakfast sandwiches and great hospitality! My partner and I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was phenomenal! Even though it was cold, it was still great, I think you can ask them to warm it up but we took it as it is. We came around 10am? It was my favorite item from this bakery. The sausage isn't your typical McDonalds or fast food premade patty (which I cannot stand), I'm pretty sure they make this in house. The sausage was peppery (black pepper) and savory, highly recommend this! The holiday turkey sandwich was okay, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't WOW! I felt like the flavors were all over the place. This was not a good balance between flavors and I just didn't think it worked well together. I think it was too much cranberry sauce that just overpowered everything. If you want to get this and try it, you better love cranberry. BUT it is aesthetically pleasing. The roast beef sandwich was much better in my opinion compared to the turkey. The pickled onions gave it a nice crisp crunch and acidity that I really enjoyed. Everything worked well together and the flavors didn't fight against one another. Amazing bakery with incredible pastries. Got there around 0800 and the line moved pretty quickly. I love pastries, so I ordered two boxes worth. No photos unfortunately because I was spending time with my dad. The croissants are so buttery and soft with a nice crunch on the exterior. I love the crispy edges on the scones, and REALLY loved the staff. They were so patient when I was deciding on which items I wanted to try and no problems answering my questions. Delicious breads, pastries, and cakes. There is usually a line, but it is so worth it.

This place was overall great! I was about to give 4 starts because of how incredibly busy this place was + the anxiety of not being able to find a table to sit! (seat yourself place but we did end up snagging a table last minute!) BUT that is not the businesses fault and actually is a testament to how good the place is! This is NOT a quick pit stop place though, you will wait in line for a good amount of time if you come but I would say it's worth it. The sandwiches we got were pretty good and the worker I interacted with was very nice and gave a great recommendation since what we originally wanted was sold out. I got the ham and swiss sandwich which was perfect and the peruvian chicken sandwich was full of flavor! Since it is a little marketplace, just note that you do buy the food and drinks in separate areas. I don't think that is a big deal just something to note since you'll have to wait in two seperate lines! The atmosphere is cute and cozy and has plenty of natural light which is nice! And for how busy it was, I don't' recall it being overly loud in there! If you are looking for a cute place to check out in the area, I would check this place out! Loved this place. This place surprised me from the quality and taste of the food to the ambience. Super quaint. I'm vegetarian so I got the vegan and gluten free corn chowder with bread. On the spicier side but tolerable with bread. Perfect for those who can handle a little spice. I also got the beet sandwich which was surprisingly amazing. I can eat that multiple times. The cafe is great. Chat tea latte was perfect. They charge an extra dollar, I believe, for milk substitution. Love that this place has a bakery, cafe, and smoothie joint. Started our day with an amazing experience at this local bake shop! Easily walkable from most downtown Anchorage. Everything is baked fresh daily, in-house. While waiting to order, you can watch all the bakers perfecting their craft creating tasty treats. The ambiance is lively, bright and airy. My wife had the Croissant with chocolate. It was very buttery, flaky and tasty. I had the mixed berry scone. It was packed with strawberries, blueberries and rhubarb. Definitely need to check it out if I'm downtown Anchorage. read more

First time here, menu not really set, what you see is what you get. There was a list of breakfast items with a note that said items made daily, when we run out , that's it. I was served by Eva, she was a delightful Ray of sunshine, offered samples of the soups, salmon chowder and pepper with onion, chose the chowder, both were delicious. read more

Real ones know... THIS is the spot. I've seldom visited a bake shop that is Fire Island's equal, much less anywhere as good. I never had a bad dessert here and the breads are out of this world. Review #10 of 2025 We went to Anchorage last month for an Alaskan adventure and I had bookmarked this place. We went here on a day they normally don't open I guess as the worker told us, so the menu was limited and whatever is out is all there is for the day and that was unfortunate because there was so much stuff I wanted to try. I really wanted to get some sandwiches for our day of exploring. There was a line that moved quick but unfortunately many items were already sold out! Wanting something a bit more filling, we got a savory scone with ham, chives and cheddar as there were a handful left, like 3. My husband said he wasn't big on scones, so I only got one. Once we tasted it, we wished we bought all of them!! It was the best scone I have ever tasted! No joke! Even my husband who says he doesn't like scones LOVED it. It was crispy on the outside and inside was fluffy and oh so tasty!!! I wish we had been able to make our way back here on other day to try other stuff!! No wonder this place sells out all the time. The hype were was legit! My baby LOVED the scone too and he was on a picky streak during this trip! The scone I believe cost $4.50 and for goodness it was, worth EVERY penny!! This place is really cute! It's located in a big building that shares many other shops. Parking was busy for this shop, but we found a spot right away. Parking is also free here. Would I be back here? OMG, yes, this place is definitely on my list of places to eat at next time I come back to Alaska which might be sooner than we think because my family and I absolutely LOVED our time in Alaska and already want to go back. What a cool fantastic spot. I picked up a ham and cheese herb scone and an Alaskan berry scone. In not a big Scone person but that savory scone was the best I've ever had. It's an open concept bakery in you, see everyone baking in the back. The team at the front desk were simply awesome and the place was clean and organized. I asked if they had espresso and they informed me that the coffee shop across from them had espresso. There is also a large seating area where you can get your scones, coffee and cookies macaroons muffins, and enjoy. read more
