I've been to Waffles and Whatnot three times in just the past couple of weeks, and every visit has been incredible! Leer (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!) has been absolutely amazing each time--so kind and welcoming--and the same goes for the other cashiers and cooks. The whole team creates such a positive vibe from the moment you walk in. My go-to meal? The chicken, mac & cheese, and waffle loaded with cookie butter, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. On my very first visit, they asked what flavors I liked, and I told them "sweet and savory"--and they nailed it. Ever since then, it's been my regular. I always think about trying something new, but I can't help coming back for that combo--it's just that good. Today, Leer mentioned they were exploring opening new locations, and I told her Fort Worth would absolutely love a place like this. With the owner being a veteran and Fort Worth having such a strong military community, I know people there would rally behind it. We love supporting our own. Also, if you really listen, the music playing in the background is all original--and every track tells a story about the restaurant's culture, energy, and mission. That level of intention just makes the experience even more special. All in all: great people, great food, great energy. Hopefully we'll meet again in Fort Worth! Editing to add a BIG shoutout to the man running the window that food gets picked up from. I saw him let a customer (who looked like he was wearing a kufi) know that the Mac n cheese was cooked in bacon grease. The customer was unaware of this and was grateful and changed his order. That kind of cultural awareness and honesty shows that place isn't just about great food--it's about heart.

Delicious food! Their first timer "we pick your meal" deal and if you don't like it in two bites they make you something else ! Spot on perfect! Steven was a delight.

Super nice staff. Bring your own water. Delicious fried chicken with spicy dipping sauce. My mouth was on fire. Wonderful local spot hope for more business for them because they deserve it. It is situated in a weird strip and parking can be scarce if too busy.

Food came quickly and was delicious as it always is :) When ordering this time though I was rushed to move along with it being steadily busy, as it usually is on a Sunday afternoon. As I went to add my email after paying, the woman skipped allowing me to add my rewards for my $20+ order which would have gotten me another reward. When I expressed I wanted to add my rewards with a new card she told me I couldn't. Overall great food and experience , employee just seemed a bit overwhelmed.

WAWN quirky, graffiti interior decorating style.

They say, "You can't judge a book by its cover,"and that is true of this restaurant. We went to Waffles And What Not (WAWN) because it was featured on Food Network's Diners Drive-ins and Dives. This place is an unassuming hole-in-the wall that we probably would not have tried if I hadn't noticed that it was featured on Food Network. I am glad I did. Playful, and quirky, WAWN was a delightful breath of fresh air on an otherwise gray day. We were greeted with a promise that first time patrons would have their meals chosen for them, If we didn't like what was served within two bites; they would take the uneaten food no charge and prepare food of our choice. They chose perfectly. Like the three bears I like my food savory, my son likes his food sweet. My wife likes her food savory and sweet. My son's Chocolate Banana Belgian waffle was very sweet and he loved it. My wife's Chicken and Waffles served with mac-n-cheese was perfect. She loves Mac-n-cheese. My waffle Sandwich filled with eggs, chicken and Bacon with cheese was so filling I could only eat half! I can't wait to eat the other half! Their coffee was rich and flavorful as well. The restaurant interior is decorated with customer graffiti. Patrons from days gone by have shared their names, art and wisdom in multicolored markers over most of the walls. A few flat screens display menu items and feature local advertisements. One monitor near the register shows the menu. The tables are bright red wooden picnic tables. WAWN looks a bit sketchy from the outside, and truthfully from the inside too. But, it is delicious food at Alaska affordable prices. Our total bill was about 60.00 with tip. Which is on the lower end for Alaska where I have found prices are about 20% or more higher than the lower 48. I absolutely recommend this gem to locals and visitors alike. It is quirky but in a good way that is fun and delicious, like art that should be cherished. Definitely, an experience I recommend.

Amazing food! Great customer service. If you are new here, they'll make your first meal for you and if you don't like it, you give it back. But you'll absolutely like it! Everything is so flavorful, hand made, and delicious. Will come back again.

Combination meal that was picked for me.

I stopped in on my coworkers' recommendation. I like the concept. All meals are based on the waffle. The staff is friendly and fun and helpful. When you walk in for the 1st time, you could be overwhelmed. The staff makes your first pick, if you don't know what you want. If you don't like it, you get a free replacement choice. You can choose, sweet, heat or a combination of both. The concept is breakfast all day. There is space in the dining area. You aren't packed in like sardines. The dining area is well kept and neat. My meal was actually pretty good. Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here.

Our first meal (has gluten), hubs gave 9/10!

Okay... walking in we didn't know what to expect hearing they pick your first meal based on flavor preferences of sweet, savory, or sweet & savory, but it was well worth it! Service was great and the place definitely is worth a stop!

Gravy. Buy this and pour it on your sandwich. $6, but worth every penny.

Wow. My husband suggested we try this place while in town. We shared a salty BAYB Daddy with a side of gravy. It was fantastic! I got it to go because we had the pup in the car. Ate it right there in the parking lot like a couple of heathens!

The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is so fun. They even have a little free library for kiddos to keep them entertained. The food was amazing I cannot stress enough how good it is ! The waffle itself has a really good texture and flavor. The house sauce is smoky and just the right amount of heat to complement the waffle

Sorry.... We started eating and THEN remembered to take photos.

Man, what a good breakfast! Honestly, I'm not sure what I got since it was our first time and chosen for us, but it did not disappoint. The sausage gravy, probably some of the best sausage gravy I have had in a long time. That is saying something since I live in TX, aka the home of some really good sausage gravies. The bacon was cooked perfect and wasn't some cheapo thin bacon that lots of other places serve. Others in our group had an omelet with a waffle, a fruity waffle and the straight up waffle plate. Everyone was super happy and it was a great meal. If we are ever back in town, we will 100% be back!

Second time coming to their new-ish brick and motor store on Muldoon I think where the old Paris cafe used to be. It's definitely an interesting inside. Green pained floors with a dozen bright red picnic tables to sit at. The walls are covered with people's messages and signatures (ours included, look for one of the Woodstocks) they also have a kid area with books and toys. You go up to the counter to order and then they bring it out to you or call your name. This is a triple D location because his waffles are darn good. Even his chicken strips. Wow. If you learned about the owner, Derek's backstory, you'd appreciate his businesses and the food even more. All this for $13. Staff are nice too and trained well.

Super laid back and very much seemed to just be enjoying being in the moment types. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered the sage and sausage. The biscuits were very good and not dry, the sausage was sooooo flavorful and the gravy on top just made it perfect! The sage and sausage was huge! Of course I knew there would be a wait, but I didn't know how bad it would be. Long story short, I ordered one banana bungalow waffle ($12, really?) for myself. The guy in front of me in line ordered a total of 5 waffles for himself and his family. The girl taking orders told him the wait would be about 35 minutes, so I figured mine would take about the same time. Spoiler: it did not. It took just over an hour. And to top it off, the waffle didn't live up to my expectations. The edges were burned and something about the cream tasted off, like it wasn't as fresh. Before they open again next spring, they really need to figure out a more efficient way to run their business. Hire more people, get more equipment, allow people to call/text in orders, something. Maybe even limit how many waffles one person can order because I would have had mine sooner if not for the people who ordered 10 waffles for their party. Because waiting over an hour for ONE waffle when that's all you make is ridiculous.

I could be wrong, but felt as if she was giving me an unwelcoming look. Right off the bat, they told me 'We're out of whipped cream!' And some other toppings... While I get that they were out of some stuff, they didn't have to blurt that out first thing. I almost didn't end up ordering anything because of that. That really soured my experience. I ended up getting a plain waffle for $6 with nothing on it. With toppings it would've been either $11 to $13. Where do they get off charging that amount of money for a waffle with a few toppings??? You could get all of those ingredients for under $10 at the grocery store and make a good 20 plus waffles for that price. I suggest lowering your prices. Your waffles are good...but why charge so much for them?

In addition, the margarita was all ice, and tasted like your typical Jose Cuervo margarita. The calamari was good and fairly thick, enjoyed by everyone. The seafood pasta had a good flavor and loaded with seafood, truly the one meal I enjoyed. The fish and chips had 3 large portions of halibut, with a heavy fried batter, and average fries. It didn't taste better than your average fish and chips, and I'm glad I didn't personally order this dish. The kids chicken and rice had a surprisingly large amount of chicken with bland rice. The scallop risotto, just simply wasn't very good, it wasn't bland, but the flavor was lacking, and of the 3 that tried it, no one ate much. The kids dessert was called house made sorbet, and my kiddos were so excited to eat it. They tried one bite and almost cried, he said it tasted like broccoli, and I laughed and tried it myself...no kidding, this tasted like broccoli!! It was absolutely awful, like one of those gag jelly beans. I was expecting a high bill, but the hidden charges at the end really added to our disappointment. I regret coming here
