Top: Something sage (gravy topped waffle) w/hash; bottom: Santa Fe (pulled pork and chili) with side of waffle (or choice of biscuit)

(I do grade on a bell curve) BL: I think you should come here to try it as long as you're not salt adverse! I think this place is about 3.5-4 stars for taste but I find it incredibly salty so I couldn't give it a full 4 star. The price is slightly on the higher end but I was able to split my meal into 2 and not be overly stuffed - but boy did I wash it down with water. The hash brown is very tasty but the waffle wasn't crispy as I was imagining it. Service was great - staff is friendly. Ambiance isn't wowing...L shaped room with 5-6 tables and a bar seating area. New(ish) location near Cabela's now... Got there 1030 with choice of seating but it was packed within the next hour. Large food selection, drip coffee only, and various other bottle drinks. Something I recently started noticing... Restaurants using a lot of disposable utensils and/or dishes. This place uses plastic utensils but real dishes. Instead of putting a bottle of ketchup, server hands you to-go containers of ketchup at your table... Hmm...

Finally got to experience Waffle Rush via Doordash. Their strawberry shortcake was perfection, even with barely there whipped cream. Their death by bacon stuffed waffle was jam packed and had good flavor. I don't believe we received their sage and sausage stuffed waffle, because both stuffed waffles received, looked and tasted identical. We're not huge fans of thick bread-y waffles to begin with, and perhaps we would've liked them more, had we eaten them hot in the restaurant. The fries all dressed weren't too bad, but I'd probably skip those next time. Worth a visit, but I recommend sticking to their fruit/dessert waffles or ordering what this place is known for, their chicken and waffles.

5 AMAZING STARS!! Fried chicken and waffles y'all!! In FREAKIN ALASKA!! I got the Tennessee version which is a medium amount of spicy. The super delicious maple syrup sauce is incredible and they gave me ranch without asking. Bacon was thick and juicy the way it's supposed to be. So, I would give the atmosphere 4 stars tbh because it was messy and the the owners were folding their cutlery into paper napkins at the table right in front of the doorway (which made me think they weren't open when I first entered). However, their hospitality and kickass food makes this place undeniably worth the visit every time you get the chance!

Food was good, hot and fresh. If you're watching the waistline it is a bit greasy. Mama Deb delivers attentive service and came by often to check on us. The waffles were DELICIOUS!! Hubby got the sweet Georgia peach one and I got "The Boss." I would come back just for the waffles. The place is small, tidy and intimate. They don't have fountain drinks, something to keep in mind if you love free refills. This is a good place to order takeout from and they offer doordash.

These waffles are not your typical Belgium waffle (big fluffy). They're bursting with flavor and have a great texture. While they may not have the height that you may be used to they are soft on the inside and toasty on the outside. The sugar pearls add to their flavor. Great waffles and tasty eggs, sausage and hash browns. Tired the Berries and Cream breakfast and it did not disappoint!!

This place is a-m-a-z-I-n-g! Beyond friendly service. The food is absolutely delicious. We've been twice now. Both times it has been the best! I got the monkey business waffle which has no shortage of whipped creams, bananas or chocolate! The bacon is really good, they bake it instead of frying it. Free refills on drinks. Tap water on request. Just a really friendly nice find mom and pop shop

Chicken & waffles are outstanding! Maple syrup or honey mustard condiments are both great on it. Take your time. Don't be in a hurry.

The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb.

I was right, as I walked in they sold the very last thing of what I wanted. But gosh am I glad- it forced me to try something new. I didnt take a picture because it was so cold out and my hands were frozen, but it was a beautiful, elongated bakery treat. It had lovely purple Ube cream and touch of oreo crumbs on top, the base was essential much like a flat cruller, but if higher quality. It was sensational! I bought my husband something that looked lower carb that had coffee cream that also enjoyed. I got my husband custom cold jasmine sugar free tea, and I got a frosty honeydew melon drink. It was a little spendy, but its nice to have a treat one on a while.

It's like a croissant baked in a waffle form, but a bit denser than a regular croissant. What really made it special was the Ube cream -- a light, buttery frosting that wasn't too sweet. Easily a 10/10 for me. I also ordered the Ube Cruffin, which had that same croissant-like texture in a muffin shape. The inside had a light cream filling, and the top was covered with the same Ube cream. It was good, but not quite as amazing as the Croffle -- 7/10. The Ham Banh Mi was tasty and filling (6/10), and the Boba Milk Tea was decent too (6/10). Oh and I got to taste their smoked salmon chowder that my friend ordered. Very good flavor, body, and richness (8/10). Everything I had was good but nothing that was as memorable as the Ube Croffle, but it wasn't cheap -- I spent a total $32 for a sandwich, drink and 2 pastries. Then again, prices in Alaska tend to be higher in general. Overall, even though I've only been once, I'd definitely come back for that Ube Croffle -- it was the real highlight!

I've bought gifts, coffees, teas, cupcakes, cookies, cannolis, various treats and ordered birthday cakes. I think I have a pretty good idea of the norm. I've always had good service and they've always had a nice selection of locally made crafts in the shop. They are my favorite bakery, despite being very inconsistent in their quality. Why are they my favorite? Because there simply isn't anyone better. Most of their recipes are really tasty, but sometimes (like today) they're super dry because they serve things that have been apparently left out too long and/or baked a touch too long. The last time I custom ordered a cake, there was a hair in it. And for the price I paid, I was shocked at how small it was. This seems to be the norm in Alaska. Owning a bakery must have high overhead. Overall, I do support cAKe, given that I've heard absolute HORROR stories about cake orders gone wrong from other places in town,, especially for weddings and other large events, I'll stick with the devil I know.

Each tart had its own unique flavor, perfectly balanced and not too sweet, which made it way too easy to keep reaching for another. The chocolate raspberry cake was a standout--rich, moist, and layered with just the right amount of tartness from the raspberry filling.
