Walked in and the restaurant was super clean and the staff very friendly. We have a short lunch and Heidi's is fast, hot and efficient! With today's charges at restaurant this place was very reasonable and good. We'll definitely be coming back for breakfast. They aren't open for dinner and that's fine since their food is on points

Worst service ever!! Food is great but if you want to be treated disrespectful and they're good too for you to buy their food and order customer service has declined at this restaurant. It's so sad. I was told by a girl who answered the phone said to call back when I know what I'm ready to order and I knew what I was ready to order but they were so busy she couldn't take my phone call for pick up on the phone. Good food but bad service.

One of my favorite hometown breakfast/brunch spots here in Anchorage! Cozy vibes, friendly staff, quick service, and the kind of comfort food that hits just right -- especially on a freezing fall morning. The coffee's always hot, the portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade. It's the kind of place where you can just relax, catch up with friends or family, and take your time. Local feel, good energy, great prices, and even better food -- can't ask for more!

Here in Anchorage for work, and stopped in here for breakfast. The food was amazing, service so fast, and a great spot for breakfast! I totally agree with another reviewer, no negativity here! Just a great place for breakfast.

This establishment was rated 4.5 in Yelp at the time of our visit. Well deserved rating! Our server, Nicole was gracious and followed up to see if the food met our expectations. It did for me and two others in our party. One of our party said the waffle was "meh". They have a history as a picky eater though. Coffee was good! 2 cups for me :0) I had the breakfast sandwich. You can choose how the eggs are cooked and selected bacon. It had cheese melted which combined everything nicely and tasted good! I took a photo. It has a large dining area. Good for small groups. I cleaned up the photo to remove individuals for privacy sake. If you like diners, put this spot on your radar. I would recommend this establishment for breakfast/brunch!

We were looking forward to trying Heidi's, since Anchorage has some few diners, but we absolutely will never return for a number of reasons. The first is the value- 50 bucks for breakfast for 2 people - without the tip- is RIDICULOUS. Additionally thus place was packed and the parking lot and restaurant itself can't handle the volume of people. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, another 10 to place our order. Our coffee didn't come until after our meals came, which is unacceptable and the service was generally not very nice. The food was ok.. parts of it was good, other parts was awful. The corned beef was the best I've ever had in my life, the eggs and toast made me want to vomit. My husband said his steel cut oatmeal was perfect. It was all over the map. Here's my issue. The energy is ugly. Its microagressive ugly racist like Kriners is. If you're brown they treat you differently. We watched as our table and the table of other minorities got served after white people. Like WAY AFTER. And white people got extra little "oh would you like this that or the other" offerings while we didn't. They even have a few minorities in the kitchen and I can imagine their work experience is not very nice. And I will not patronize places like that. There are plenty of other places in Anchorage that treat people equally and are kind regarding of who you are.

I walked in by myself and it was a busy brunch rush. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. After ordering this breakfast, I'm not kidding you, 3 minutes later it's sitting in front of me. Hot, fresh, and delicious! Fair prices and good food!

The menu is large and the plates larger! This is a favorite spot for me and to bring friends from our of town as they can try many good Alaskan dishes and staple ones, too. I like the pancakes, scrambles, country fried steak (the gravy is fricken awesome!) and biscuits and gravy. You will leave very full, just a warning!

Four stars not for the food I give that a 2.85 almost three. But friendly warm and welcoming. Beat the rush at 8:45am for a descent breakfast. I should have got the oatmeal and blueberries. That was a 3.5. Coffee was strong and brewed fresh. My meal the potatoes were cold and the sauce almost curdled. But edible I would return.

Finley chopped bell peppers and onions in almost every omelette. I have only sat at the bar and it's very good service.

It's just a cute place to vibe at and be around the community. There is a coffee shop, plant shop, juice shop and small market in the same building which makes it worth the stop. The seasonal ginger bread chia tea from the coffee shop is like Christmas in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is like thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and pecans. The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. I'm never disappointed with fire island. A jem in anchorage.

The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb.

Leer (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!) has been absolutely amazing each time--so kind and welcoming--and the same goes for the other cashiers and cooks. The whole team creates such a positive vibe from the moment you walk in. My go-to meal? The chicken, mac & cheese, and waffle loaded with cookie butter, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. On my very first visit, they asked what flavors I liked, and I told them "sweet and savory"--and they nailed it. Ever since then, it's been my regular. I always think about trying something new, but I can't help coming back for that combo--it's just that good. Today, Leer mentioned they were exploring opening new locations, and I told her Fort Worth would absolutely love a place like this. With the owner being a veteran and Fort Worth having such a strong military community, I know people there would rally behind it. We love supporting our own. Also, if you really listen, the music playing in the background is all original--and every track tells a story about the restaurant's culture, energy, and mission. That level of intention just makes the experience even more special. All in all: great people, great food, great energy. Hopefully we'll meet again in Fort Worth! Editing to add a BIG shoutout to the man running the window that food gets picked up from. I saw him let a customer (who looked like he was wearing a kufi) know that the Mac n cheese was cooked in bacon grease. The customer was unaware of this and was grateful and changed his order. That kind of cultural awareness and honesty shows that place isn't just about great food--it's about heart.
