Little Dipper Diner was one of the few places open on New Year's Day so we stopped in for lunch. It wasn't too full, and they didn't look understaffed, but it took awhile to get our order taken after being seated. I landed on the biscuits and gravy and added overeasy eggs. Despite the slow start, our food came out quickly and was pretty good. Definitely comfort food so not the healthiest. I wouldn't count LDD as one of my top choices but would return to give them another chance.

Delicious breakfast! I would absolutely eat here again. The breakfast bagel sandwich was so good. I could only eat half because the portion of home fries was huge. Husband had the chicken fried steak and grits; he loved it and also took half home. We ordered 1 piece of French toast for our breakfast dessert - yum! We had wonderful service. We sat on the side with arcade games but the other side is like a normal diner.

Cute diner with Coca Cola themed interior. Large portions and fun games on the other side of the room. Good for a hearty brunch.

This is a beautiful little tucked away spot. Didn't know it was here but so glad we found it. my wife is getting her hair done at MisFits and we stopped in. Has an arcade and kids cartoon theater is super cool. Full of cocaCola memorabilia, good portions are huge def enough for 2 people per plate. Highly recommend

Located in a strip mall. There was a short wait on a Sunday morning - but not bad really. Hubby got the corned beef hash, eggs and tater tots, I got the BLT with onion rings. We were right near the kitchen and I could see when my order was up - and it unfortunately sat there for about 7 mins before it was served, so the onion rings were on their way to cold when i finally got them. BLT was pretty good though. Star of the show was the tater tots, they were served piping hot and maybe are homemade (or some better version than in your grocer's freezer). I think the corned beef hash was canned, but was salty and hit a good breakfast spot in my tummy.

Little Dipper has to be one of my top favorite breakfast spots in Anchorage. Family-owned spot with amazing staff that remember returning guests and create the homie ambiance that this place resonates. Their cooking is spot on and coffee is always being offered and never missing at your table! They even have a small arcade on one side of the restaurant to keep the little ones (and not so little ones) entertained. We stayed in anchorage for 10 days and returning to Little Dipper was never a question.

Located in the corner of a strip mall, this little hole in the wall diner can be easily missed. But I'm telling you guys - you DONT want to miss it! We ended up going on a Saturday at 1130ish and The seating is limited, but worth the wait! It only took us only 15 minutes to be seated with a swarm of people in front of us, gave us time to catch up tho. We went with friends EVERYONE got good food. Since Im an Uber early riser it was lunch time for me. I got a French dip, with an over easy egg on it. Nothing to write home about, but it was good in the same. Tater tots are always good, just make them extra crunch && there is nothing to gripe about. The husband got the Philly cheese steak omelet. I did take a bite and it was quite good (tried to avoid the godly amount of cheese) *lactose here* but he loved it! Our friends got the 2x2x2 pancake, sausage links and eggs. She was pleased && her husband ordered the country fried steak scramble, as you can see mountains with delish country gravy. That was, I think, the highlight of the meal. Super pleased over all with EVERYTHING. They are a well oiled machine. Even when they were busy, a couple of our toast got misplaced, but it was right out in a jiffy once we mentioned it. Never let the old time diner vibe die! This place is a must go!

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

I always order the Italian with extra ham and no spicy ham, and a scoop of sweet peppers from the grill. My husband orders the Club, Mike's way, with extra onions and light mayo. The meal was very satisfying, but that wasn't only due to the quality ingredients. The two young men behind the counter, Ethan and Ollie were engaging and friendly, making the customers feel right at home. They knew the menu, skillfully prepared our orders, and were able to answer questions about a specialty sub, the hot ham. Alaskan Burger & Brew has three locations in town and this one is located on Old Seward Hwy and E. 80th Ave. in front of Dino's Donuts. The dining room interior has a comfortable retro old-diner feel with 50's tunes playing. I wish more places were like this. The trendy metropolitan look that a lot of the newer restaurants are using for the dining area are nice, but they lack a certain comfort a classic diner look has when you're enjoying a meal. Not too many places have that feel in the fast-paced world we live in now. We chose a booth in the middle next to a stuffed Dall Sheep on display that towers over you. The employee at the front counter was friendly and very quick to take our order. I decided to go with the Mac & Cheese Burger (1/2lb. patty, bacon, macaroni & jalapeno cheese topped with melted American & Nacho cheese). My friend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger (caramelized onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and house dressing). We both picked onion rings for the side. The wait was only a few minutes before our orders arrived. Luckily, we came in before several people arrived to order for the lunch rush. The burgers were delicious as other Yelpers have stated in their reviews, but the onion rings were not that great. I will choose a different side next time. Other notable items on their menu include the Flamin' Hot Cheetos Burger (1/2 lb. beef patty, Hot Cheetos, and house Nacho cheese), Burger & Brew salad (1/2lb. patty on a bed of mixed greens, avocado, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, Swiss cheese with firecracker aioli and avocado dressing), the Octopus Dogs (beef hot dog links cut and fried to look like an octopus), and the Wild Fries topped with pico de gallo, chorizo, pickled onions, jalapenos, cheese sauce, and avocado dressing. Orders are available through GrubHub and DoorDash delivery. A sign is set up by the entrance showing their daily specials. This place is a good option for lunch during the work week.
