Was greeted and told I could sit anywhere, so since I was alone got a small two tip table. The ladies that took my order and checked on me were very attentive and sweet. The coffee came out in a huge mug and the omelette was also a good size proportion and delicious! Ok so I love the food, ambiance, and presentation of Harleys plates! Food is always cooked well the sourdough is made in house and delicious, great value for portion size in my opinion and consistently delicious not a hit or miss spot. Also lots of hot sauce options available right at the table- staff are quick overall attentive to needs of all tables they are running, and i cant help but keep this place in a rotation. At least twice a month sometimes more. The only reason that i cant give 5 stars is pretty serious 7 out of the last 10 times myself and/or my family have gone we have been over charged for things we did not order and EVERY TIME it is with a very specific wait person. I will not call them out by name here but what i will say is it is a specific issue only happening with this particular person we are ordering with every time it happens - I ALWAYS check my receipt for actual charges before signing and ask for a receipt when i leave because it is a constant issue. We are talking about being charged 4 coffees when there is only 1 at the table- even being charged 30+ dollars for a mug? When confronted about the false charge to our tab it's always a " i hit the wrong button" or just an eye roll and quick fix response. If we didn't like the food so much we would never be back so i do hope that everyone is aware to ALWAYS check the tab for accuracy and if it gets addressed by everyone that is targeted hopefully this person will stop doing it. read more

Just finished my Eggs Florentine. Absolutely delishes. The hash browns were perfect. My friends throughly enjoyed their omelets. The garnish melon was ripe and tasty. I've decided it's the best breakfast in Anchorage. Plenty of variety. Great service. Only thing that could improve is the coffee which was not up to par with the caliber of the food. Stopped in for the first time by chance since they were open midafternoons and my mom wanted pancakes. SUPER NICE folks, great blueberry pancakes. I BEST part was the beef brisket sandwich!!! I haven't dined inside in a few years. I do recall Harley's having their beautiful coffee mugs for sale. I recently ordered brunch by way of Doordash and wow, wow, wow! Harleys definitely exceeded our expectations. Their brisket breakfast is a must! So much meat, tender and flavorful. Their biscuits and gravy were the best we've had to date. The biscuit tasted fresh out of the oven. The gravy was perfect in consistency and taste. Harleys hot wings were surprisingly delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our fresh chicken salads. We have Always passed by this place not sure why ? It is the Best Hole in the wall place in Anchorage! It sounds American but it is definitely Spanish influenced. We have been looking for a great breakfast place since Granny B went missing and this is the spot. Not only do they have the best Chicken Fried Steak but they have 4 different kinds of them. The service was on point and the coffee was bold and strong. Huevos Rancheros with chorizo was sooo savory it made my mouth water just by looking at it. Walked in around 8 AM to a ghost town A couple of customers were already seated but no employees in site. Sat around in the waiting area reading the menu for a couple of minutes I got up and helped myself to a table and *POOF* employees showed up from nowhere. Really solid "hole in the wall" diner in Midtown. First time visitor to Anchorage, and saw this place along the way. The coffee was solid and they kept bringing in often. The pancake special with bacon between the cakes was very large, and I really couldn't finish. For a diner, they do a nice job and it was comfortably busy. I've been wanting to go Harley's since I moved to Anchorage; but it's unfortunately out of my normal flow and their hours are weird, so its literally taken me a decade to get there. My kid came home raving about the food and portions relative to the prices, we decided to make a point to bop over there. The food is outstanding- definitely one of the best breakfast joints in Anchorage. The place was PACKED when we went, so service was a little slow/wonky. This is clearly a family run place with limited staff, so grace is definitely given for slow service in these age of Covid. Absolutely will be going back, will try to return midweek instead of on the weekend during a less busy time. read more

We came here for a work brunch and the cafe wasn't too busy. It's a hidden gem and a great spot to enjoy a nice cozy and quiet meal. My friend got the ranchero skilled and said it was the perfect amount of spicy. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with hash browns and whole wheat toast. The omelette was perfectly folded with cheddar cheese and the veggies grilled to perfection. The hash browns and toast was also amazing! Their service was fast and the staff extremely friendly. Both meals were delicious and incredibly rich in flavor! We ordered two coffees to go with our meals, which was also really good. Corona update: It's been a minute since I've been to Harley's. Shame on ME. I ordered takeout here, and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was a ton of food and came with a free Harley Cake (a takeout promotion). A Harley Cake is like a pancake mixed with a heath bar, with a pecan on top like a cherry. They offer some of the most moist, tender brisket in town. (everyone else: brisket shouldn't be tough, it's not beef jerky) The portions are enormous. The pricing is amazing. The cuisine is inspired by Oklahoma/Texas/Louisiana, and it shows. Give them a shot! (breakfast served all day) read more

Incredible food, incredible coffee! Doesn't look like much from the outside, it's in a strip mall, but O. M. G. We went simple, just one order of eggs and bacon and an order of eggs and sausage. The eggs, ordered over medium, were cooked perfectly. The sausage and bacon were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The grits were omg sinful, and the breakfast potatoes were like little crispy pillows of sunshine. I ordered wheat bread for my toast and I expected what you normally get - just the run of the mill sandwich bread, but IT WAS HOMEMADE BREAD. Oh, and the coffee was not foldgers, it was a Guatemalan blend and sp delish I drank it black. Sorry, no pictures because I was too busy enjoying my breakfast. Holy cow bring your appetite when you show up. I had the pecan pancakes, they were huge and fluffy, cooked perfectly! The ham was great that went with it. My daughter had the French toast, her favorite breakfast, she said it tasted wonderful. The coffee was hot, fresh, and tasted great. It's simple , it's a beautiful Latino family owned business, The entire family pitches in to serve up the best Mexican breakfast in Anchorage.I have been in the classic diner many times but was in search today of a local favorite that I have heard is above average. Chilaquiles. Unfortunately they only have it Monday through Fridays . So I settled on the Rancho omelette. It was spicy ! Full of authentic flavors, crispy hunks of bacon , cover on a Mexican cheese . And half of a perfectly topped Avocado . I loved the perfect crispy hash browns and sourdough toast ! I happened to be on the south end of town and looking for something I hadn't had and came across this place. I almost passed it due to being in a tiny strip mall. We were one of only a couple tables occupied when we arrived so we were seated right away. At first glance the menu is overwhelming, a little bit of everything. I decided to go with breakfast to make it easy, eggs scrambled with hash-browns. She had a couple pancakes. My eggs were cooked as ordered and hash-browns crispy on the outside and soft inside. Her pancakes were as requested as well. A pretty basic meal, nothing over the top. I'd like to go back and try something else given the opportunity. All in all not a bad spot to try. read more
