Burger Jim used to be my favorite burger place in town, but since my husband and I decided to try Max's, this is our favorite burger and fast food place. I'm ashamed that for years we made fun of the bizarre name. Max's is clean inside, has a diverse menu, great daily specials and the staff is so friendly. They also have one of the biggest burgers I've ever seen. My husband couldn't finish it. I can't remember what ite called, but it was a double with egg and huge onion rings and toppings. It was ENORMOUS. I always get the Hawaiian or Tirayaki. Their fries are awesome as well. I will eventually try some of their Korean and Hawaiian options, but I like the Tirayaki burger and I'm a creature of habit. read more

Sweet baby Jesus this place is the diamond in the rough. Don't judge a book by it's cover. The burger was beefy and tasty. I braved the Super and it was a huge mess. A bigger mess than the in and out animal style burger. Far more filling and better flavour, too! The onion rings weren't very good. They would hold par with all the fast food joints in town, however. The fries were excellent. Looks like seasoned fries are the standard when you order a combo. I don't care for seasoned fries, personally, so I did my best eat around and they were still terrific. Mrs. E. loved their fresh brewed iced tea but wasn't a fan of the chicken salad. My reaction: don't walk in a burger joint and order a big salad. I'll break it down, anyway. The salad's not too complicated, a ton of iceberg lettuce, a few tomato slices, cucumber slices and shredded cheese. Boom. While she's happy that it didn't have the funky lettuce, there wasn't much to the thing. No peppers, croutons, onions, olives, blah blah blah. The chicken was the dreaded-breaded processed stuff. Again, don't order a big ole' salad at a burger joint. Whatever. The receipt says the cashier was Caroline, all I know is she was very nice and helpful, plus, we joked about losing at bingo. Max's isn't much to look at from the outside, but appearances can be deceiving. It ended up a wonderful choice in a pinch. I had the bacon cheeseburger w/jalapeño, steak fries and a coke! Great price for a big burger, it was big, hot, perfect portion to fill you up and the fries were tasty! I really enjoyed the jalapeños, they were grilled and spicy! The price was very reasonable, cheaper and healthier than any fast food chain. This is also family ran, so customer service and cleanliness seem to be quite important and priority. Try it for yourself!! read more

Really disappointed. I've driven past this place numerous times and finally had the opportunity to try it out. I bought the cheeseburger combo and the burger was small, super greasy. Couldn't finish it, made me feel sick. It also had a cheap overcooked patty. Made me think of the "where's the beef commercials" from the 80's. Fries were ok but frozen, not fresh. $15 for the combo. Wait staff was nice and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and so was the eating area. I would recommend McDonald's over this place. read more

I've unknowingly eaten from here many times and have always found the food to be great! I went here myself about a month ago and ordered a combination plate the front server recommended and it was great...so great I even went back a day later and ordered one of their burgers with a side of fries which also tasted amazing. The inside of the restaurant is pretty standard and it's facing a semi busy road so there's decent scenery to look at while you dine inside. Another note to add is the food is cooked pretty quickly so when ordering pick up or to go, you won't be waiting long. read more

Yeah, I still come here lol every once in awhile when I want Hawaiian bbq cooked by someone different. Food still just as tasty.. I realized in my previous reviews I use "tasty" a lot. I wouldn't be mad if they changed it to Max's Tasty Burgers vs Beefy because they're not so beefy but definitely tasty(I'm doing it again lol). Dining in is still the same as it was years ago, really wished the bathroom was maintained better. 4 stars because I never leave dissatisfied with my food (one bad experience with delivery but that was years ago) and the lady at the cashier is always working her tail off, cooks too. read more

We happened to pass by the other day and came back to try them out. We have had many burgers, and these were better than any we have had - even better than Five Guys. We also had the Korean wings -bomb! My husband suggested they make a burger with the wings sauce; it was so good. The fries were tasty, as well as the matcha milk shake. We will be back! read more

Really good burger and Hawaiian food place!! I got a chance to eat here when they have sales for the good cause helping foster children event on Sunday. They had bacon cheese burger, fries and small drink for $5, and all money goes to the charity including food, service and the operational costs!! Everyone working there was volunteer from the church and busy but happy. Their french fries were really crispy and delicious. Burger was also good and full filling. I explored their menu and lots of good items were there!! The price is very reasonable and I would love to come back some other time to try other food besides their burger. They do deliver and has special menu available. I recommend this burger place over any fast food burger franchise out there. read more

The Ambiance was Clean, Refreshing as well as Inviting, with pretty floral flowers and beautiful natural sun light through the huge windows of thee establishment. Stay away, I respectfully asked the owner why I was charged regular price when the lunch special price was currently in effect. They proceeded to tell me it was a special price that you had to ask for prior to ordering, even though it was clearly on the menu. i'm a little conflicted: the burgers are great, patty meat is as good as anywhere, buns and other items are great! the fries are hit or miss: the last time i was here, they were alright, this time, undercooked. the shakes are odd, the menu says "Real Fruit Milk Shakes," and i found some seeds in my raspberry shake, but it didn't seem like really REAL fruit. the menu is large and there are more things to try here, so i'll definitely be back! the staff seemed understaffed, but were friendly and welcoming. if all you want is a good burger, this is a good place! read more

Let me say that the reason we are giving it such low reviews isn't because of the food. It is because half way through our burger we realized that not a single person handling our food was wearing a mask...during Covid. If you're fine with this, then you'll enjoy the food. We, however, are not. They have signs posted saying that masks are required, but choose to ignore that themselves. If not for that, we would have enjoyed our meal. read more

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! The fries and burger were great but the real star was the Korean BBQ chicken wings! Best wings we've had in town! We are so thankful we have them a try! The costumer service was also great. The cashier was friendly and helpful and she brought the food out to our car in light of social distancing. Though of course we didn't dine in we noticed that the inside was very clean and appreciated the social distancing marker on the floor showing where to stand. We look forward to coming back when this is all over and eating inside. There was even a little area for kids to play. read more

I don't know what happened before but this restaurant is great under new management. They have great customer service and their foods are delicious! Especially their chicken wings are to die for. I forgot to take pictures of max burgers and I only took the picture of wings after more than half way through - it is very crispy and tastes just right. Their wait time is pretty short too. During everything going on, my husband and I decided we wanted to order from Max's and have it delivered. I am absolutely AMAZED at how great everything I ordered was. For the portions you get, the prices are fair. The burgers are huge and the chili cheese fries are large in portion as well. The milkshakes we got were some of the best we've ever had. It even arrived to our apartment sooner than expected, and the delivery driver was so kind. We have never eaten before and we are completely blown away by their amazing service and great food.
